  1. I wonder how this will impact the migrant workers doing border runs on tourist visas, i can imagine handing over another 500 baht a month might be significant to some of them. If it's an airport tax then fair enough, I don't really care, it will just make its way to a bunch of politicians bank accounts anyway.

  4. You can already see the huge queues at the airports to find baht currency because I'll bet they won't accept others. I note they say the fee is to be collected from tourists. What about Thais? If they don't pay then it is not the same as a departure tax which applies to everyone. With it just having been agreed that hospitals can charge more for non-Thais, sounds like yet another way to fleece tourists and those expats who live here.

  5. More ridiculous comparisons (first price is Agoda - and so 17% for tax and service has to be added, but we do not know yet if these have to be added to the TAT prices - second price TAT site) The Landmark Bangkok: Baht 2,147 / 3,531 The Okura Presitge Bangkok: Baht 3,494 / 7,062 The Aiyapura, Koh Chang: Baht 1,347 / 2,000 Oakwood Hotel & Residence: Baht 784 / 1,199 With a 5-star hotel being almost 100% more expensive on the TAT site, that's another site for the trash bin.

  6. The first room they advertise is the Horizon Room at the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok, at 4500 Bt. So I went direct to the Banyan website and there it is at 2500 Bt. Site goes straight to the Recycle Bin

Thank you! I didn't consider myself a youngster until your message. I am an avid Snapper and TikTok'r. I spend hours on them each day and my videos are view by thousands. jk I don't fucking understand either one of them. But, I did like the thought of being young again. My current boyfriend does both of those daily and loves it. I just don't get it. Perhaps I never will.

  9. From Pattaya Mail Locanation.com, a new hotel reservation platform backed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), made its debut on 1 October 2021 to help boost country reopening. This newly-launched platform is an alternative to other online travel agencies like Agoda and Traveloka. It is part of the TAT Travel Tech Startup Season 2. TAT Deputy Governor of Domestic Marketing Thapanee Kiatpaiboon said the agency is keen to support startups, specifically Thai-bound TravelTechs, helping to maneuver them through international competition. What makes this platform different from the rest is that it does not collect any commission fees from participating hotels, as well as allows businesses to communicate directly with actual users on the platform through posts and direct messages. Proceeds from the revenue spared can then translate to privileges or extra benefits provided to hotel guests, such as airport shuttles or free minibars. The platform also supports the government’s Phase 3 of the ‘We Travel Together’ or ‘Rao Tiew Duay Gun’ scheme with 2 million eligible accounts. It began accepting reservations from 1 October 2021. Here is the link to the platform: https://locanation.com/ https://www.pattayamail.com/thailandnews/thailand-launches-new-hotel-reservation-platform-as-cities-reopen-to-foreigners-374284

I think it's Snapchat and TikTok for the youngsters these days. FB is all GenX, Boomers and some MIllenials now. IG is still fairly popular too. Although I think FB is popular generally in some countries. Countries that are new to the internet - Myanmar famously - for example. Twitter is just politics and porn. I'm going to try and take a break from FB to see if I can break the addiction.

Frankly I wouldn't touch "Facebook" with a bargepole. In my last job as Chief Executive (silly, grandiose title for a basic management job) of a small Hospice charity in the UK I employed a young man as adviser on communications and publicity on a campaign to increase our fundraising income by over 30% in one year (we achieved over 50% increase) and he advised me to set up an account on Facebook. I had no idea what he was talking about. The next day I went down to lunch in the staff dining area and the cook said she was really upset with me. I asked her what I had done to upset her and she told me she had asked to be my friend on Facebook and I had ignored her. I immediately told my staff to delete this stupid account and never looked at Facebook again.

  15. You mean Junior/Caio/Edson/Emerson/Judson/Jefferson with the sculpted body, fashionably-ripped jeans, flashing smile, perfect hair, a cock that needs its own government-issued ID, and always a mirror in proximity would NOT make for marriage material?

  16. So basically 1.2k to the thai military gov outright just for landing and exiting thailand. I mean i know some other countries do it as well, but if u want to boost tourism, making it more expensive is not the way.

  18. Notwithstanding the unfairness to the CSW (GdeP), isn’t this a version of ‘fool me once, fool me twice … shame on you/me’ if he went to the motel for a 2nd round of performative labor before seeing any of the thousands in cash already owed?

  19. What a hero, pay half. Seems that he doesn't feel responsible for his husband. It's these stories that totally piss me off. And it's a vicious circle. Somewhere down the line a client is getting it back.

  20. Very sad for the people of Myanmar, but a clear sign to the maniacs in the fake military junta that their insanity and arrogance will not pay off. Given their arrogance and disdain for the country and its people, sadly there is no easy way out of the situation they have created. There is no way I would travel to Myanmar while the army is still in control.

  21. I disagree. You can practice nudism at any beach you want - right up to the moment the police show up and arrest you. Then you get to practice even more nudism at the police station when they order you to bend over and spread your cheeks. But don't worry. You can tell the police you saw a web site that said nudism at the beach is perfectly acceptable. I'm sure the police will then apologize for arresting you, give you a wai, and immediately release you - maybe even giving you a lollypop on your way out the door . . . "I went to a nude beach. 22. From November 2020, Rio news pulled from police bloggers. It reads to me like the clients were super shady — including the Swiss millionaire with the Leblon penthouse apartment! English translation: GAROTO DE PROGRAMA GOES TO ASSIST GAY COUPLE IN PENTHOUSE IN LEBLON, LITERALLY ENDS UP CARRYING A PIPE, AND WHEN HE GOES TO CLAIM AT THE 14 DP IN THE BAIRRO, HE GETS STUCK THERE A 26-year-old boy, who claims to have gone into prostitution to pay child support, was arrested yesterday after going to the Leblon police station complaining that he had not received payment for a program he did on the penthouse in an apartment in the neighborhood, lasting 48 hours with a gay couple. He had an active arrest warrant, since February this year, for not paying the pension to his six-year-old son, which already totals R$ 12 thousand. A Paulistano, he said he came to Rio for "a profitable season". "I'm married, my wife knows what I'm doing. Due to the financial crisis I started prostituting myself. I pay for my college, my apartment and I try to help my son. I paid part of the pension to his mother, but the court still hasn't [completed the] discharge on the warrant," he told O DIA at the police station. Also according to Felipe, who uses that name in the programs, he earns between R$ 10 thousand and R$ 15 thousand per month from this activity. According to the boy, he fell into a trap when he was hired by a Brazilian, who is married to a Swiss. "He proposed to me a sexual fantasy with his husband: he didn't tell the Swiss millionaire that I'm a male prostitute. In the sauna, then, we met and went to the penthouse. They used drugs and I did the job, having sex with the Swiss until 4 o'clock in the morning," he said. The first meeting took place in the early afternoon of the 29th. "At dawn, I was sucked, not eating [fucking ass] anything, he (the Brazilian) only gave me R$50 for the taxi and said he would settle the payment later. Then, three hours after I left the apartment, the Brazilian called me and said: I want to have sex only with you, in a motel," he said, yawning and eating a snack he had ordered at the police station. Felipe then went to the motel, where he says he stayed with the Brazilian and worked for a few hours. It was already nighttime when he wanted to receive payment, but the Brazilian said he could only pay the next day. "The initial program we had agreed was R$350. It was already R$5,000 and he said he wouldn't pay. He started writing on Whatsapp that I was threatening, that I had broken into his apartment, and that he was going to call the police. He said: let's go to the police," he said. Arriving at the 14th DP (Leblon), the two, fighting at the counter, told their versions. The police then sent for the Swiss spouse, who knew nothing. "He (the Swiss) proposed to Felipe to pay half of the program that his husband owed. Felipe accepted. So, we did not record the occurrence for embezzlement. However, Felipe had this arrest warrant open and was arrested ", said an agent. He was detained in a cell at the police station. Before being taken to the scene, he managed to make a call to his wife telling him what had happened. "Little girl, I'm going to have to stay here until everything is resolved," he said over the phone.
