I have been wanting to write about my crazy adventures in Brazil. Because for the better part of the past year I have been living in Rio working remote. It’s been a life changing experience. Once I broke free of the GP scene (be careful it’s a trap). I discovered a whole new world! I have experienced places in Rio that I don’t think many Gringos or expats wouldn’t dare to venture to. Bailes in Mandu, São Joao, Penha, Providencia, CDD, Rocinha, Vidigal and so many other cool places. Which were all very safe for me because I used common sense. Also because I’m a young black man and I’m accompanied by other black Brazilians I never don’t feel safe. It’s been amazing getting to know people and really finding my place in the city. The experience of a younger bisexual black American man is a unique one. And it has gotten meinto some amazing situations. There are also some amazing parties outside the favelas gringos don’t go to. Park Bar in Lagoa on Wednesday night! When I do log in here I get a lot of questions about the sauna in Bangu. It’s called Boate Casa Grande google it for the address and all that info. It’s best on Sunday but open on Friday and one other day I don’t remember. Don’t pay more than 100 and don’t go if it’s raining. Invest in learning Portuguese, the past 6 months I’ve taken it serious and it feels great actually knowing what people are saying around you. I've also spent significant time in Bahia so if you have any questions lmk. And to think just a couple of weeks ago I found out the beach showers is where most people go to take a piss.Especially when the ocean is cold. Lol!!!6 points

Whatever Happened To The Thai Sex Worker?

More guys make a success of their time in Pattaya than some may think. Yes, there are certainly casualties- hiv, drug abuse and, alcoholism take their toll and sometimes, an apparent LTR with a falang is suddenly curtailed when a new and younger boyfriend is found. A few years sago, P went through a list of ten or so of his friends (now Facebook contacts) from Dream Boys circa 2003, who had found their falang and were still enjoying financial support. Some of the falangs had relocated to Thailand to live with their boyfriends. And to underscore this, I've noted more couples recently in Pattaya consisting of a falang in his sixties (or thereabouts) and a Thai in his thirties, suggesting that these are indeed LTRs.2 points -

Labor Day Santo Domingo
xpaulo and one other reacted to BlkSuperman for a topic
Hey guys n gals. Hope your Labor Day was festive and fun. We spent the holiday weekend in Santo domingo with a few of Manny's new men who provided their expert services. His new guy is scarecrow and his dick never gets soft. He is a fuck machine and takes GREAT PRIDE in feeding you his long thick dick. Mannys next guy is COCO. this guy is amazing and has a dick like a surfboard. If your nips are sensitive like mine then COCO is who you need to hire. Omg. He sucked my nipples and sent me straight to heaven. My soul left my body because of the intense please I felt from him sucking my nipples Hes very intuitive because the more I moaned, the better he sucked. He actually pulled me to the edge of the bed, fucked me missionary style, and sucked my nipples while I jacked off and had a SCREAMING ORGASM. It was AMAZING!! ALSO, ask manny about 6'5. This guy is tall, friendly and has a HARD HUGE DICK. I will post the pics in the members only page. Remember when arriving and leaving the DR you have to complete the e-ticket. Do it at home the night before you travel and screenshot the qrc code. Complete it before you leave your hotel when leaving the dr because there was mass confusion when we arrived to SDQ. They will not let you advance to the security line if it isn't done and the internet at the airport was weak when we arrived so complete the e-ticket before you leave your residence in the DR and screenshot the qrc code. Manny also has a doctor who will come to you to administer your covid test and have the results within an hour. Have fun!!!! Be safe and suck as many dicks as you can2 points -

Whatever Happened To The Thai Sex Worker?

Vessey’s account of the economics of being a rent boy in Pattaya is an excellent presentation of the realities of their lives. It caused me to reflect on my own experience of rent boys in Pattaya over the last 20 years concluding with my last trip in February last year. One boy I remember going back to my second trip years ago stands out in my memory. I was sat talking to a pal in one of the concessions on the gay beach during the late afternoon when two boys appeared and after some hesitation seated themselves close by. One was a really nice looking twink in the 18 to 20 range whereas the other was rather older maybe 26 to 29. We very quickly invited them over and bought them drinks. The older one could speak some English but the younger none. He said that they both worked nights at a laundry but the younger had only been there a week having arrived from Korat. He (the older)had come to the beach to try and find a farang to help him with his rent, whereas the twink was just sightseeing. After perhaps half an hour my pal went off with the older to his hotel whereas I took the younger to a short time room. I returned to the beach the next day hoping to meet him again but he didn’t appear and the day after I went back home. Returning a couple of months later I visited Sunee and spotted him dancing in the Euro Boys Gogo. I offed him and discovered that after our first meeting that he had transitioned over a week or so into full time work in gogos which he found much to his liking than the laundry.2 points -
From Channel News Asia TOKYO: Japan can now give defence equipment and technology to Vietnam under an agreement signed on Saturday (Sep 11), as the two countries step up their military cooperation amid worries about China's growing military influence. Japan's Defence Minister Nobuo Kishi said the deal elevates their defence partnership “to a new level” and that Japan and Vietnam plan to deepen defence ties through multinational joint exercises and other means. Details about the transfer of specific equipment, including naval vessels, will be worked out in subsequent talks, the ministry said. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/asia/japan-vietnam-sign-defence-transfer-deal-amid-china-worries-21721211 point

Here are a few of my favorites: "Go ahead. Make my day" "What a dump" "Fasten your seat belts. It's going to be a bumpy night" "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse" "Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape" "Open the pod bay doors, Hal" "Is it safe?" "I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too" "They call me Mister Tibbs" “I'll be back”1 point

Im with you there Londoner - some boys are more affluent than one might suppose. During my last contribution I mentioned a very attractive 18 year old I first met on the beach in year 2003 and subsequently offed him from Euro Boys. I like to think he had a prosperous career in the gay Pattaya sex industry. He will be about 36 now and probably retired some time ago from the bars, but after a good remunerative period in the beds of gay farangs like myself, and having probably a number of longer term relationships. The family in Isaan would have benefited from improvements to their property, purchase of farm equipment and perhaps a pickup truck and generally from freedom from uncertainty and poverty. On the other had I hope he has not been crippled by drugs or alcohol, a motor bike accident or contracted a STD from bare back sex.1 point -

From Washington Diplomat The US-ASEAN Business Council, a powerful Washington-based corporate association active in 10 Southeast Asian countries, has named Ted Osius as its new president and CEO. Osius, a former US ambassador to Vietnam, assumed his new job Aug. 23, replacing Alexander Feldman, who led the council for 12 years. Feldman has since relocated to Singapore as president of Boeing Southeast Asia. In a Sept. 8 interview, Osius told The Washington Diplomat that COVID-19 recovery efforts top the agenda of his organization, whose main mission is to promote US trade and investment in the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN): Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. “With the emergency response to covid, the private sector can help fill in some of the gaps, not necessarily in providing vaccines, but at least support for those who are in trouble—oxygen, PPE, home health kits, that sort of thing,” he said. “Our council’s been very involved in this, and our companies have been phenomenal. Once the epicenter shifted from India to Indonesia, we kicked into gear, and now we’ll be looking at other countries in ASEAN that need our help.” In the longer term, Osius called for “greater openness” in trade policy by ASEAN member states to speed up the post-covid return to economic normalcy. “ASEAN used to be characterized by openness, but there’s been a little retreat during covid, some hunkering down,” he said. “That’s natural. Governments are looking after their own people first. Regulations have sprung up overnight because countries are very worried. But harmonizing those regulations will help accelerate the recovery. Specific pieces need to be dealt with, like supply chains and moving people across borders.” Formed in 1984, the US-ASEAN Business Council comprises 170 member companies. Together, they generate nearly $7 trillion in revenue and employ more than 14.5 million people. Besides Washington, the council has offices in New York, Bangkok, Hanoi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Singapore and Yangon. https://washdiplomat.com/ted-osius-ex-us-envoy-in-hanoi-to-head-us-asean-business-council/1 point

I find the incredible delay in testing in packed slum areas like Klong Toey one of the government's biggest failings. They just had to look at the huge clusters discovered among Singapore's migrant workers dormitories or even that among both legal and illegal workers at the Samui Sakhon fish market way back in December - both a result of failure to test. But then this Thailand government has little time for the poor. They have to fend for themselves no matter that we are in the midst of a pandemic.1 point

As mentioned, Club de Tobi is closed (building for sale), the Cabanas Tabu Video club is gone, Club 55 is open sporadically, and even the street of sin (Calle de Pecados Cl57A) is almost entirely closed up and cleaned up. Medellin has changed because of Covid, but there is no shortage of horny Medellin boys looking for action -- paid or otherwise. You can also check new listings/events at: http://www.guiagaycolombia.com/medellin/ If you want to explore, you will find that the smaller cities nearby like Pereira, Manizales, Armenia all have options but being further away from the major city, you will find fewer people that speak English. Pereira is an exception because it is a university town and all masters student must take advanced English as part of their studies. Always plenty of students looking to practice their English Good luck!1 point -
From Pattaya Mail One lane of Jomtien beach road near Grand Jomtien Hotel collapsed, pulling palm trees down to the beach and caused traffic chaos. Pattaya awakened on Wednesday morning to what looked like a scene out of a Hollywood disaster movie. All throughout the night the tropical storm wielded its wrath, dumping non-stop heavy rain all over the country and Pattaya was not spared. The rain did not stop at dawn but kept pouring down all morning and through most of the day. Pattaya streets are known to flood even with the slightest of rainfall, but with such a forceful blitz of rain throughout the night, the worst was about to hit the unsuspecting citizens that day. By late morning, the extent of the devastation became more visible as water rose to new heights in almost every part of town. One of the hardest hit areas was Jomtien Beach Road at the intersection near Grand Jomtien Hotel. The beach road collapsed and slid 5 meters onto the beach. Palm trees and traffic light posts were sucked down to the beach too. Police had to close off that section of road and direct traffic through little sois so people could travel to and from Pattaya. Continues with many photos https://www.pattayamail.com/news/monumental-floods-and-destruction-in-pattaya-wednesday-morning-3710930 points

Afghanistan - Yet Another US Mistake Is Now Happening!
Ruthrieston reacted to PeterRS for a topic
In another article in yesteday's issue of The Guardian, Afghanistan's reincarnation of Vietnam's Lt. William Calley has once again been revealed. Some of the article refers to incidents already itemised in the New Yorker article posted earlier by @fedssocr. But this is new, at least in this forum as far as I am aware. It speaks for itself. "The men of Zangabad village, Panjwai district lined up on the eve of 11 September to count and remember their dead, the dozens of relatives who they say were killed at the hands of the foreign forces that first appeared in their midst nearly 20 years ago. "Their cluster of mud houses, fields and pomegranate orchards was the site of perhaps the most notorious massacre of the war, when US SSgt Robert Bales walked out of a nearby base to slaughter local families in cold blood. He killed 16 people, nine of them children. "America’s tragedy, thousands of families’ terrible losses on that September morning in 2001, would indirectly unravel into similar grief for thousands of other families half a world away. "Afghans who knew little or nothing about the planes flying into towers in New York, and certainly had no link at all to al-Qaida, were caught up in the war that followed, and that claimed their loved ones year after year. "Haji Muhammad Wazir lost almost all his immediate family, apart from his four-year-old son in the early hours of 11 March 2012. It was more than a decade after the twin towers came down, but they were the reason the US military was on his doorstep. "Bales killed his wife, four sons, four daughters and two other relatives. He shot the children in the head then tried to burn their bodies. “It is very hard for me, I still feel like these things are happening right now,” Wazir told the Guardian, nearly a decade after the almost unimaginable slaughter ripped apart his life. “I am very happy the American forces have finally left Afghanistan, and very grateful to Allah for making this happen. At last I feel safe.” The article later points out that the Taliban, too, was responsible for the deaths of Afghanis. But it was the actions of some of the US servicemen and their NATO partners in the war that drove many Afghanis directly to the Taliban, either as fighters or as financial supporters. At least Bales was arrested for his crimes in what is now known as the Kandahar massacre. In a plea deal he pleaded guilty to murder, assault and attempted murder. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole. The US Supreme Court refused to hear his case and his lawyer is now trying to get a new trial in a civilian court. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/sep/10/how-mass-killings-by-us-forces-after-911-boosted-support-for-the-taliban0 points
