Villa Gianni in London, UK
Ruthrieston and 2 others reacted to LoneWolfVisitor for a topic
So I called on the phone a few days after I made this post since nobody responded to me here, and they were (are) still open for business between 1pm and 7pm. They are not operating as they did before, where you go in and look at guys behind the mirror. Instead, they send you pictures to your phone of the guys working there and you have to text back saying which guy you want to meet. The person I spoke to on the phone sent me some pics of the guys who were available on the day I wanted to meet, and I chose the one I liked most, who was a Brazilian called Leo. I paid £130 for one hour with Leo and he was fantastic. I recommend Villa Gianni and Leo in particular if anyone reading this wants to go there and try it out for the first time.3 points -
Ugly showdown

".....hardline young protesters...?" I'd have thought that the Thai elite were the the "hardline" party in this conflict, bearing in mind its refusal to respond appropriately to demands for democracy and human rights.2 points -
your concerns are valid but I wouldn't worry until very close to decision about travel . Rules are inconsistent from nation to nation and are changing more often than some people underwear. I don't even start about sense some of them make. So while we mentally may be prepared for scenario A in fact version D.1.7 will apply at time of our travel. Only thing we can do is to be prepared to jump at first feasible opportunity.2 points

Afghanistan - Yet Another US Mistake Is Now Happening!
splinter1949 and one other reacted to PeterRS for a topic
There is a very perceptive article in Friday's edition of the UK's Guardian newspaper. Written by Simon Jenkins it delivers a blistering attack on British and American lawmakers. The article was written before Tony Blair, the British Prime Minster who had given his Ambassador to Washington in 2001 instructions to "Crawl up Bush's ass and stay there!", published a 2,700 word article on his website in which he claims "The abandonment of Afghanistan and its people is tragic, dangerous, unnecessary, not in their interests and not in ours,” This from a discredited Prime Minister who went in front of the nation in 2016 to apologise for his errors in taking part in the invasion of Iraq! "I express more sorrow, regret and apology than you can ever know or believe." From The Guardian Friday 20 August 2021 (the use of bold face is mine - it is not in the original article). Britain’s MPs this week uttered one long howl of anguish over Afghanistan. Their immediate targets were Joe Biden and Boris Johnson, politicians who just happened to be on the watch when Kabul’s pack of cards collapsed. But their real concern was that a collective 20-year experiment in “exporting western values” to Afghanistan had fallen into chaos. MPs wanted someone other than themselves to blame. A politician is never so angry as when proved wrong. Like their fellow representatives in Congress, MPs somehow hoped the end would be nice and tidy, with speeches and flags, much like Britain’s exit from Hong Kong. Instead, tens of thousands of Afghans who had lived in an effective colony under years of Nato occupation had come to believe the west would either never leave or somehow protect them from Taliban retribution. They were swiftly disabused. In 2006 I stood at dusk on a castle wall overlooking Kabul with a young UN official. He had just heard the Kandahar road was no longer safe. “Why,” he sighed, “can’t Afghanistan be more like Sweden?” I tried to see if he was smiling, but he was grimacing. For another 15 years, armies of western soldiers and civilians hurled stupefying amounts of money at the country. They created a wildly corrupt western dependency, where some 50,000 Afghans have links with the west that are now lethal. As for the “western-trained” army, one of its trainers told me it was mostly for show. An occupying power could not possibly motivate local youths to kill their fellow countrymen who might soon be ruling them. He rightly predicted: “They will just walk home.” It is now 22 years since Tony Blair gave a speech in Chicago lecturing the US on his doctrine of international intervention. He wanted the west to invade countries across the world not in self-defence, but to save people everywhere from oppression. It was a reformulation of Alfred Milner’s Victorian concept of moral imperialism. British politicians on both the left and the right have long been uncomfortable about the abandonment of Milnerism as the acceptable face of empire. Global policing is somehow embedded in Britain’s political DNA. All Blair’s wars of aggression were cheered on in the House of Commons. Many people have spoken this week of the “decline of the west”, lamenting the collapse of US moral authority. Yet these theories are beside the point. The belief that our moral values are somehow meaningless unless they are enforced upon those who do not share them is imperialist bigotry. It also leads to absurd biases. Iraq is now thought of as “bad interventionism”, as opposed to Afghanistan’s “good” version. The virtue of the latter invasion led President Obama in 2009 to bless the war in Afghanistan with a “surge” of soldiers, taking the US total to 110,000, mere target practice for the Taliban. American gunboat diplomacy, initially supposed to salve the wounds of 9/11 in 2001, opened the door to fake morality and a trillion-dollar nation-building fantasy. The catastrophic return of Taliban autonomy became its inevitable conclusion. The US – with Britain as its lackey – committed liberal interventionism’s cardinal sin: half-heartedness. The craving to intervene is always followed by a craving to withdraw. Traditional empires at least pretended they would never leave. As it was, Afghanistan replicated departures from India, South Africa, Hong Kong and Iraq. If you invade and conquer an alien state, you own it, but must then disown it. Western rule has killed an estimated 240,000 in Afghanistan since 2001, more than the Taliban ever did. It has not left morality, just a mess. We must assume strategists in Washington and London are now planning interventions in Taiwan and Ukraine against possible Chinese and Russian expansion. If you ask taxpayers to spend billions on defence, you need something to show for it. So you pretend, as Johnson did in his bizarre conversation with Biden this week, that “gains” were made in Afghanistan. You accuse non-interventionists, as did the former Tory leader William Hague, of demonstrating “the enfeeblement of the western mind”. In a recent column, Hague called on Britain to continue invading foreign countries when “our common humanity demands it”. In doing so, he sounded like Pope Urban summoning the First Crusade. more at https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/aug/20/west-nation-building-fantasy-afghanistan-boris-johnson2 points -
From The Thaiger The Public Health Ministry says that from next year, Thailand will begin offering booster doses to fully vaccinated people, as well as vaccinating children. According to a Nation Thailand report, Dr Opas Karnkawinpong from the Department of Disease Control says research shows that the immunity granted by 2 doses of vaccine, regardless of the type, will decline over time. For this reason, a third, or booster shot, will be necessary. Opas says AstraZeneca has already agreed to increase the number of doses supplied to Thailand from next month. The kingdom currently receives between 5 and 6 million doses a month during the period June – August. From September, that will increase to 7.2 million doses. Meanwhile, the National Vaccine Board says that by next year, there should be at least 120 million doses of various Covid-19 vaccines available. This will include mRNA, inactivated, protein, and viral vector vaccines, a decision already approved by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration. The NVA plans to import 50 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine, along with 50 million AstraZeneca doses. Opas says that if a second-generation vaccine is found to be safe and effective, it could arrive as a second batch. https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/cv19-vaccines/thailand-to-start-offering-booster-doses-vaccinating-children-from-next-year ============================================ From Chanel News Asia Taiwan's president leads way in first domestic COVID-19 vaccine TAIPEI: President Tsai Ing-wen got vaccinated with Taiwan's first domestically developed COVID-19 vaccine on Monday (Aug 23), giving her personal stamp of approval as the island begins rolling out the contested shot whose approval critics say has been rushed. The health ministry last month approved the emergency use of Medigen Vaccine Biologics Corp's COVID-19 vaccine, part of a broader plan for inoculation self-sufficiency as delays in vaccine deliveries from global drug companies have affected Taiwan and many other countries. Tsai, who had held off using vaccines from Moderna or AstraZeneca, the current mainstay of Taiwan's vaccination programme, received her Medigen shot at a hospital in central Taipei, demonstrating her confidence in the safety of the vaccine. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/asia/taiwan-president-domestic-covid-19-vaccine-medigen-shot-21297061 point

Just be sure and ask that question of the hotel and/or Airbnb host where you will be staying. You can find placed with speeds that fast, gerally up to 125mps, but I've stayed in many places where the speed is less than 10 mps. I found it useful to being an ethernet cable and adapter so I can connect directly to the routers/connection in a hotel as wifi speeds vary a lot in certain placed that I have stayed.1 point -
Oh gosh, I'm sorry, that was ancient history. But I remember it so well, even what he looked like, tall and lean, but hard as concrete. Good luck, I hope you find what you're looking for.1 point

The MOU stated they will be vaccinated and quarantine. From the link on bangkok post, thats what it says. "The DoE is also preparing a special MoU to import labourers in some particular tasks. All must be vaccinated and quarantined first," Mr Suchart said. I just hope that to be true. Who will vaccinate these migrant workers is not stated but if i were to guess, its not thailand.1 point

I've met some Awesome guys in Brazil using Grindr. One guy I still hope to meet again! I remember him telling me he was only in Brazil for a short time to earn some money. On my final night in Brazil he came to visit and had a friend tag along with him. That was a night I will never forget. I can still remember almost every inch of their bodies and if I try a little, I can remember their voices.. Grindr never failed me when it came to meeting guys, be it free or for $. I am sure when I return, Grindr will be the first app I will be using. My favorite ways to meet guys over the internet in Brazil. Grindr (App) Romeo (www.romeo.com) Viva Local (https://www.vivalocal.com/acompanhantes-gays/br) Skokka (https://br.skokka.com/acompanhantes-masculinos/rio-de-janeiro/zona-central/) Garotocomlocal (https://garotocomlocal.com.br/) Hornet (App) Jack'd (App) Recon (App & web) (www.recon.com) Dudesnude (www.dudesnude.com)1 point -
Another important point raised by that post. DO NOT book with a retailer. Nowadays pay the little extra and book direct with the airline. It save a lot of hassle if you need to change flight schedules and what happens if that retailer goes out of business?1 point

The Mexican bottoms I've been with, especially the twinks, have been pretty submissive. Even the really masculine ones. They want you to tell them exactly what to do, or better yet just pick them up and put them in position. Agreed about Grindr being a Petri dish but I don't think the clubs are any better, what's the alternative?1 point -

I think that confusion applies to all travelers from all countries arriving to anywhere. Recent 'The Economist' reports that IATA website required 200 updates about various entry rules world wide in just ONE day1 point

Extended Vacay São Paulo, Rio and Salvador
BlkSuperman reacted to Kevie770 for a topic
I have a little free time, so I’ll say a little about my adventures so far before I forget. I arrived in São Paulo on the 16th and stayed until the 21st. This trip was my first time at SP, and it’s very different than Rio. It’s a massive concrete jungle where the closest beach is an hour away. On my first day, I linked with @brockmiller, who is now my Brazilian travel BFF! We turned Lagao out every night!! We are both very friendly and welcoming people and not to mention massive sluts. Shoutout to everyone else who we hung out with or meet from BT! I don’t remember your user names, and I don’t want to say your real names here, but you all know who you are! Lagoa was decently busy every night and very busy on the weekend. The guys were prob 30% European white, 50% light mix, and 20% darker-skinned mixed. If the European look is your thing, then Lagao is the only sauna I’ve seen that would satisfy. The building was mostly open, everyone was naked, and no one except the building staff wore a mask. Only the actual wet sauna was closed. All other parts of the sauna were open. I enjoyed myself at Lagao, but it is expensive. I prob spent more than twice the amount I spent here in Salvador. But I did find out I was overpaying for programs. I was paying 400 for overnight and 200 for a regular program. A middle-aged black Paulista told me and @brockmillerthat there is NO REASON we should spend that amount for a program. In his words; we were too young and beautiful ever to pay that amount. He said at the very most, 250 for overnight and 100 for a program in SP. When I asked him about Salvador, he said 50 for the regular program and 150 for overnight. I’m here to report he was right! I have not been turned down for a single program using his rates. Being honest, I hooked up with many guys while in SP, and I only remember a few. Two intensely dark-skinned guys we will call Casa and Diego. Both vers and both 5star yep reviews. All others were forgettable or didn’t stand out from the pack. After São Paulo, Brock and I went to Rio, where the party continued. Rio was Rio... some good, some bad as always. 202 had a fair amount of guys working. Some new faces and many old faces had not returned. 117 was damn near empty, and none of the guys were to my liking. I only had one new guy in Rio, and that’s because @brockmillerforced me to have sex with him. In Rio, I had a few favs who entertained me for most of my stay. In particular, a 6’5 deeply dark guy who has done some porn had been working out heavily during COVID and had a nice new buff body. I enjoyed his new body and WAP for a few days. On a side note, one thing I don’t like as much about Rio is that many of the black guys only top. In SP, all of the black guys I was with except two were vers, and many here in Salvador are also vers. Maybe I’m not doing something right, but I know a few black guys who work at 202 who’s asses are calling to be fucked. I will tell you about my adventures in Salvador once I have a moment. Salvador is magical is so many different ways! I hope my spacing allows everyone an easy read this time.1 point
