From Pattaya Mail Thai Airways International (THAI) announced to resume international and domestic flight operations during the August – October period. In response to demand for air travel, the airline will operate flights to international and domestic destinations under the Covid-19 prevention measures, said Nond Kalinta, THAI’s chief commercial officer. The domestic route is: Bangkok – Phuket: two flights per week every Thursday and Friday, starting from September to October. The routes to support the Phuket Sandbox project are: Bangkok- Phuket- Frankfurt: one weekly flight on Thursdays. Bangkok- Phuket – London: one weekly flight on Fridays. Don’t rush and book months in advance. Airline ‘street cred’ is at an all time low and they cancel on a whim. If interested suggest look at their reliability over several months to see how many “cancellations” happen.

I've been cautious of earlier predictions but there are signs that have foreshadowed slowing in other nations now beginning to show in Thailand. From Bangkok Post Signs have emerged that suggest Covid-19 infections are about to level off despite a doctor warning the country could see up to 400,000 new cases. Apisamai Srirangson, an assistant spokeswoman for the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), said there are encouraging indicators about the outbreak situation, noting that the number of new infections is no longer on a steep upward curve. The rate of infections in Greater Bangkok is at 41% while it is at 59% in the provinces, and the trend is expected to continue, she said. However, she warned the public to keep their guard up because fully vaccinated people can still be infected. "There are signs that the number of infections and fatalities are about to level off," Dr Apisamai said. "We hope the situation is getting better, and we must not make a mistake in this critical period." She said the home and community isolation programme has also freed up hospital beds for Covid-19 patients with more severe symptoms and reduced wait times for critically-ill patients in the past week. According to her, there are 70 community isolation centres in Bangkok with 9,426 beds. If we think busloads of Chinese tourists in the past were bad, truckloads of Chinese money might be incomparably worse. The nightmare would be if Chinese money re-made the tourist trade of Pattaya into something resembling Sihanoukville. I agree with FloridaRob i have been with T-Mobile for the last 3 years and it is so easy! when the wheels of the plane hit the runways in Rio or SP my phone sends me a test saying welcome to Brazil! unless you are on the phone for hours a day while in Brazil it’s not that expensive!

why not use T-Mobile? For $50 you can upgrade to their global plan....unlimited callas, texts and 15 gb internet....it already comes with 3g internet for free and 10 cent calls to the usa, but the 60 buck upgrade is worth it...better than At&T $10 a day

I’ve never really been one for writing trip reports. Nothing I put together is going to have numazu’s flare. I also have zero interest in others critiquing my negotiation tactics with the boys which are basically predicated on the fact that a night out where I live that does not involve two “lean and toned and fully vers and passionate” guys that are two-thirds my age costs a good deal more than what I spent at Lagoa on the first night I was there. That said, I have learned a good deal from this forum that was very useful when I first started traveling to Thailand several years ago and, at least of late, there has been a dearth of trip reports containing current info so (and against my better judgment), here goes: On Wednesday at Lagoa boys outnumbered clients by a good bit. Even though there were only two boys that really did it for me, most of the boys there were attractive, especially if you like muscle. Negotiations started at 200 in both cases and ended at 150 because, well, they were both really hot and I did not travel here to quibble over 50 R. In both cases though I’m pretty sure they would have agreed to 100 which leads me to Saturday night…. On Thursday, I met Gabriel at Lagoa who was absolutely gorgeous. Negotiations started at 200 and quickly ended at 100 as soon as I offered it. We ended up spending the entire night together though so I gave him more which seemed to make him very happy. While I was with him I learned that he had literally arrive the day before from Minas Gerais. Friday, I traveled to Rio and went to Point 202. Client to boy ratio favored clients just as it did at Lagoa. At Point there were two guys that did it for me and just as it did at Lagoa negotiations started at 200 and ended at 150. In this case though, I’m not quite as sure they would have gone lower if I had pushed. Unfortunately, both guys were mechanical when we got into the cabins and I don’t think I will be seeing either one of them again. I also don’t like the cabins at Point very much. The ones at Lagoa are nicer. Saturday morning in Rio I met a 23 year old using the apps. He was a total bottom which is not usually my thing but he had an incredible body and said he wanted me to “help him with his English” so I agreed to met him figuring that he would probably try and get some money out of me at some point but, well, that never happened. This is one of those feel-good posts - well it is for me. I guess we all have moments of self-doubt, when we question our abilities, judgement, even our sanity, And then we read of people like the man reported here and realise that the the world is filled with people even more stupid and less sane than ourselves, It's kinda reassuring in an odd way!
