  1. The only good part of being in Thailand in recent months is the warm weather. Because of the previous and even current lack of enforcement of restrictions on travel between provinces the Delta variant is running pretty much out of control. Recent cases include guys who live in the Jomtien complex returning from a visit to Bangkok. I keep hearing more reports every day of Thai bar boys and their friends who are sick with Covid in hospital or isolating at home because there is no room left in the care facilities. The current wave of Covid may last for many months and i am not sure how much entertainment there will be left in Pattaya with some gay bars already giving up and closing. The new Dragon Music bar in the Complex is nearly finished with a full renovation and i hope they get a chance to open later this year but it may not be till 2022. There are mostly the same boys available on the apps for the last 18 months and many of them have recently returned home. With the amount of local infections It is very risky to meet anyone at present. It may be more frustrating being here in Thailand now with the many available Thai guys but not being able to meet anyone with the fear of catching Covid. Even if you are fully vaccinated i would not be rushing back to Thailand anytime soon. My advise is to stay where you are until well after the current wave is over and check if there is better management of the situation here in Thailand. The current wave would not have been so severe if the restrictions were enforced and lockdowns enacted quickly instead of letting people travel all over the country spreading infections. You do not want to return to Thailand after two years away to find that you are stuck in you hotel or condo in a lockdown with a curfew.

  2. @PeterRSYou are right in that these are the ones we know about. Jupiter Boy has Covid as does at least 20 of his friends. None of them are counted in the numbers as they are given at home testing and they stay there to recover. I would estimate the number is 10 times the reported numbers. @Vessey What you find is paradise. I have had so many boys message me on apps and want to stay with me or visit me. Yesterday, I had sex with one of the hottest guys in years. As I worry about Covid, I was as careful as possible. But, I had to see him and I did. Amazing and sweet. He is stuck here from another country and can't return yet. That leaves his free time (all the time) for doing nothing and Bangkok is boring. He said he liked being with me as he has someone to talk to and he thinks if he can stay with me more, I'd be open to letting him fuck me and he said his dick was magic. I laughed. He had me at liked. @bucky13 I love the optimism and I know it will be glorious when you return! @kokopelli Glad you got the vaccine. Stay safe and return as soon as you can!

  3. This video about a Filipino boy who rescues a dog from the water will do it. Several days ago the local press put out a plea for information about the youth's identity. Today he was identified as "Angelo", a 16-year-old worker at a market in Laguna. I'm a dog lover and hope this brings a smile to your face at a time when we're finding increasingly less to smile about. https://www.facebook.com/AKFanimalrescue/videos/1415611865504964/

  5. From Toui Tre News Vietnam’s leading private conglomerate Vingroup will build a plant capable of producing up to 200 million COVID-19 vaccine doses per year under a U.S. technology transfer, amid the country’s efforts to secure enough jabs for slowing COVID-19 infections. The vaccine plant will be constructed under a technology transfer agreement that Vingroup made with U.S.-based Arcturus Therapeutics, a company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of therapeutics for rare diseases and vaccines. The plant, to be located at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Hanoi’s Thach That District, will have a designed capacity of between 100 and 200 million doses a year. The mRNA-based vaccine developed by Arcturus is expected to undergo clinical human trials in August in Vietnam before being produced, the Ministry of Health said. https://tuoitrenews.vn/news/society/20210730/vietnams-vingroup-to-build-covid19-vaccine-plant-in-hanoi/62338.html

    Istanbul vs Kiev?

Hi all, I'm debating whether to spend a week in either Kiev or Istanbul in mid-August. My main priority is easy availability of muscular, vers men around 25-40 who charge something not too much higher than Brazil prices. Am I right that Kiev lacks anything like a sauna (vs. Istanbul having Aquarius Sauna) where one can meet/see several potential providers prior to hiring? How does general gay nightlife (and possibility of picking someone up) compare between the two cities? In the pro column for me for Istanbul is sauna Aquarius, bigger population (presumably more options), and there's a lot more touristy things I'd like to do there. In the pro for Kiev is that I'm (slightly) more attracted to Slavic men than to Turkish/Kurdish/Arab men, and from what I gather they are more likely to speak at least some English? I've registered for a Bluesystem account (took quite awhile to solve the captcha!) and a few of the guys I've reached out to have all quoted like 200-300 euro though, which seems crazy (maybe because I started conversation in English stating I'd be visiting soon from the US?). Maybe once over there on grindr/Hornet/Hungz it's a bit more reasonable though? Appreciate any thoughts you all might offer!

  7. Andrew Sullivan's new column at substack explains how it happened through his perspective. He lives there. Let It Rip How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Live With The Virus Andrew Sullivan 20 hr ago 40 Brent Thomas, dressed as the historic figure Anne Hutchinson, leads a tour through Provincetown on July 24, 2021. Thomas said they limit their tour to 10 people and ask people to practice pandemic protocol. This group confirmed they had all been vaccinated. (Craig F. Walker/The Boston Globe via Getty Images) It started with a text. Hey Sully — I started feeling cold symptoms a couple of days ago and didn’t think that much of it but then found out a house of SF guys we were out dancing Fri-Sat-Sun tested Covid-positive despite vaccination. Started with sore throat, cough, etc which is what I have. Most of another house too I know have similar symptoms (and perhaps half of town from last week at this point). Anyway I went to the clinic this morning and I’m positive. Still have some smell and taste, feel just kinda cruddy But I don’t think a fever. He asked me to be on call if he needed something. A day later, he wrote, “Felt cruddy last night — chills, a little sweats, but slept 10 - 11 hours and slightly better so far today.” Symptoms lasted about a week, and we texted until I bumped into him as we were both walking our dogs on the beach. He seemed fine. Then I spotted an old friend near some distant tidal pools, began to walk toward him to say hi, and he waved me away for the same reason: he was sick. The next day, I spotted my next-door neighbor, wearing a neck gaiter alone on the beach, and I was about to tease him but saw the look in his eyes. Another one. Then three texts from health agencies in DC and Ptown telling me I may have been exposed. I’ve had no symptoms, so I haven’t gotten tested. But I’m a little bit happier I decided to get a Pfizer shot after my J&J. Is Provincetown our future? Count me skeptical. In Fourth of July week, the town was completely swamped this year, followed swiftly by Bear Week; lines for the bars lasted for blocks; the bars themselves were packed; the weather was dreadful, forcing most of the crowd to pack tightly inside. A tiny town built for a few thousand residents has to absorb up to 40,000 in peak season. One bar in particular — the home for a dance party with the inspired name of “Fag Bash” — resembles a kind of dank dungeon where sweat drips from the ceiling and mold reaches up the walls. It might have been designed for viral transmission. A big swathe of the crowd had also just come from a week of Pride partying in New York City and were likely not, shall we say, at their immunological best. It was a muggy, viral heaven in a classic post-plague burst of bacchanalia. I’m way too old for that kind of thing these days, and don’t like crowds, and so stayed away, finishing the audio version of my forthcoming essay collection. Good call, it turns out. But would I have gone if I’d had the energy? You bet I would have. Maybe not into the crammed basements, but I had a blast at the open-air tea-dance the same week and since. And why not? I’m double-vaccinated. The chances of becoming sick enough to be hospitalized are extremely small; the chance of death, none at all. My friend who first texted me is super-fit (as are most of the young torsos who show up that week), but he’s also my age (weirdly enough, he’s the same friend I went to stay with when I first tested HIV-positive in 1993). He endured a nasty week of a fluish bug: the kind of thing that happens without any plague at all. Just part of the inherent risks of being human on a planet that does not belong exclusively to us. And this seems to me to be the key question here: do we really want to get back to living? I do. So take the rational precautions — a solid vaccine — and go about your business as you always did. Yes, I’ll wear a mask indoors if I’m legally required or politely asked. But I don’t really see why anyone should. In a free society, once everyone has access to a vaccine that overwhelmingly prevents serious sickness and death, there is no reason to enforce lockdowns again, or mask mandates, or social distancing any longer. In fact, there’s every reason not to. We are at a stage in this pandemic when we are trying to persuade the hold-outs — disproportionately white Republicans/evangelicals and urban African-Americans — to get vaccinated. How do we best do this? Endless, condescending nagging won’t help. Coercion is not an option in a free country. Since the vaccinated appear to be able to transmit the virus as well, vaccine passports lose their power to remove all risk. Forcing all the responsible people to go back to constraining their everyday lives for the sake of the vaccine-averse is both unfair and actually weakens the incentive to get a vaccine, because it lowers the general risk of getting it in the broader society. So the obviously correct public policy is to let mounting sickness and rising deaths concentrate the minds of the recalcitrant. Let reality persuade the delusional and deranged. It has a pretty solid record of doing just that. The government cannot be held responsible for sickness and death it has already provided the means to avoid. People are responsible for their own lives. The government can do some things — like making vaccination mandatory for federal workers and contractors, and especially in the military as George Washington did in the Revolutionary War for smallpox. It could offer money — or entry into a lottery, as many states are doing. All good. But the most potent incentive for vaccination is, to be brutally frank, a sharp rise in mortality rates. The more people who know someone who has suffered and died the likelier they will see the logic of taking measures to avoid the same fate. In other words: if people recklessly refuse to face reality, call their bluff. Sullivan's column continues here: https://andrewsullivan.substack.com/p/let-it-rip-f9c

  8. This is how military juntas behave. It is just that- a junta- not a government. In fact, in some ways it has benefitted from Covid in so far as it put a lid on the street protests. And we all know that if, through an act of God, Covid disappeared tomorrow, the restrictions on dissent would remain. I sometimes wonder if the junta (like Bolsonaro and Duterte) may not be bothered too much about the epidemic. It's a perverted version of Rome's "blood and circuses"....it keeps the populations' collective mind off such minor issues as poverty.

My clothes are more flamboyant than the contestants on Legendary. My nails are a bit polished. My ass was shaved by the lady who does bikini waxes to the stars. Let there be no mistaking this, when I type, I send all my gay aura through the Internet into the post I'm typing. And, yes, it is as gay as fuck if it comes from me! (hell, even my emoji's are gay (yes, you have access to them as well). PS I have a cute gay boy giving me head as I type this. Seriously. He is insatiable and he said he is gayer than I am (I don't think so).

  12. If you blindfold some monolingual American and parachute them into the middle of the Barrio Norte, they would probably guess Paris or Milan or Madrid. But the great thing about BA is that's just one side of the experience. There is (or was) a sprawling shantytown within sight of one of the ritziest neighborhoods. Drive the length of Ave. Santa Fe and its continuation and you can rapidly go from New York/Paris to a provincial Italian city to Eastern Europe to Peru to Bolivia. (With a budding Chinatown along the way, IIRC.)

  13. Your reports are better than any travel Insta because you really capture the feel of being there, feeling the cobblestones under my feet, smelling the coffee, getting dizzy from the graffiti. I didn't know that neighborhood was called Montserrat. I walked through there from Avenida de Mayo, comparable to and developed around the same time as the Gran Vias of Spain if the Argentines ever clean it up, to San Telmo. Isn't there a stunning disco in the area set in an old theater with two levels of gallery and sweeping chandeliers? I don't mind gritty neighborhoods if they have character and a story. The tango was born in places like this and the songs frequently name even grittier slums to the south.

  16. I agree that foreigners in the country should avoid protests and demonstrations. However, foreigners--wherever they might be--who believe that this poses a threat to the people of Thailand should not be inhibited from expressing those about fears the actions the government is taking. If people and nations don't do so about atrocities in Myanmar, that nation's junta will feel even more free to kill its citizens than it already does. If more foreigners had done so in the 30's, it's not impossible that the Holocaust might have been prevented. Excerpt from Thai Enquirer Opinion column This government has the temerity to think that they can keep passing decrees and laws that infringe on our freedom without consequences. They are wrong. So we are letting you know at Thai Enquirer that nothing will change, that we will continue to hold power to account. Though this new law was designed to target us and our colleagues who do a thankless job everyday, we will not be scared into biting our tongue or holding in our critiques. We believe that in a just society, the first line of defense against the encroachment of totality and despotism is a free and fair press. We will work and act accordingly.

  20. If I knew or had any reasonable conclusion I would have specified a time. I'm sure you realise I am grasping at straws as much as everyone else. I have no idea when Thailand will get to 70% vaccinated or whatever other percentage of the population is regarded as ideal for opening up. For your infomraion, the interval for the locally made AZ vaccine is 12 weeks. I just know that with the Prime Minister only a few weeks ago having revealed what he should have told the public many months ago - that the roughly 70 million AZ vaccine doses being manufactured locally and due for delivery between June and December will not in fact all be for Thailand since over 50% are earmarked for overseas (I believe negotiations are underway to have the Thailand amount increased but have seen no result) - and, so far as we know, not a great many other millions of doses are scheduled to come into the country soon with the exception of the Sinovac and Sinopharm vaccines, the government has a huge problem. The Prime Minster has even admitted this. In April and May he was saying publicly that the 70% would be reached by September. By early June that had been moved back to the end of December. Even that now seems very overoptimistic. Young people still remain very much at the back of the queue and they seem just as prone to the delta variant as older people. I know of about a dozen guys in their 20s who cannot get a date for vaccinations. One has got an August date for his first Sinopharm vaccination but only because he knows a nurse at a hospital. Even then he has to pay 3,200 baht for both. Having been jobless for many months he has had to beg and borrow that sum. What of all the boys in Pattaya, I wonder? I thought the organisation bringing in Sinopharm was doing at as a charitable exercise since a great many Thais will find it hard to pay that price. That apart, as you rightly point out, the Chinese vaccines do not seem to be as effective as the others. I think you have discounted the point made in my earlier post about the CDC's latest pronouncement. So we really do not know how effective present vaccines are other than keeping many people out of hospital. But surely the CDC's comment about vaccinated people still being contagious with the delta variant, does that not throw a rather big spanner into predictions for the future? And what if, as is surely likely, more variants appear? I wish. But you know the background to the awarding of the contract for AZ vaccines. Do you seriously believe that the Prime Minister is going to change the rules given the principals involved with the AZ production - and these include his dreadful Minister of Health, Anutin, who is from an opposition party? Anutin could have involved the government's own department which for years has manufactured various vaccines, some for the WHO. But he elected not to. Changing the rules now would be politically dangerous in my view. As for yet another lockdown, since the Prime Minister was terrified of the effect on his public image if he accepted the advice from all his medical experts to cancel Songkran this year, I cannot see him shutting down the country more than he already has. So I remain unconvinced that this country will be able to open up for a long time. I'll hazard a guess. Mid 2022. Sadly!

  21. I also spent an inordinate amount of time planning trips to various places - Slovakia, Holland, Japan and, of course, Thailand but had to cancel each one as the virus quickly took hold all over the world. It was extremely frustrating. I have since given up all hope of travelling overseas until 2023 and so don't worry about it any more. And I can tell you, I feel a lot better for having let go! Reality sucks!

  22. Oh Lord but I feel the same frustration, although, in comparison to some of you, I was lucky in that I was there for New Year 2019/20, so its only been an 18 month gap for me, but I had become so accustomed to being able to visit once or, more usually, twice a year at times convenient to me, that the uncertainty over my next trip gnaws at me day by day, week by week, and month by month as this pandemic rumbles on and Thailand's vaccination programe still looks woefully inadequate. In theory, now I am both retired and double vaccinated, I could go back tomorrow and face the 14 day quarantine/sandbox, so what is holding me back? The answer is my concern as to what I would find if I did go back now, with the mass restrictions, bar closures and so many boys gone back home. In truth I am perhaps still rather naively hoping that there will be a time when everything will just go back to normal, and the Pattaya I arrive back at will look and feel the same as the Pattaya I left in January 2020. However, in all probability that will never be, not quite the same anyway, and I just have to come to accept that, and be prepared to 'take it as I find it' as I did on my very first visit back in 2009.

The film has been sold for distribution in several countries. No idea if it will ever appear in Thailand. The Guardian: A desperately unhappy story, sympathetically told The Scotsman: Though full of sadness, it's ultimately a portrait of just how resilient a person can be in the face of so much pain. Ian Thomas Malone: a harrowing, deeply moving experience that captures a star as gravity forces it back to earth IndieWire: A crushing story of innocence destroyed by stardom Financial Times: A deeply sad documentary about fame, its casualties and exploitation of children.

  25. Xtube is actually a "part" of Pornhub which is owned by MindGeek. As with so many international conglomerates, it's both fun and surprising to find out who owns who. Pepsi owns Quaker Oats. Mars Candy owns Pedigree Petfoods. Disney owns Lucas Films. J&J owns Splenda. Founded in 2006 by Ontario, Canada-based Webnovas Technologies, Xtube is owned by MindGeek,[4] having been acquired between 2006 and 2010 by the then managing partner of MindGeek (then known as Manwin) Fabian Thylmann.[5][6] It is part of the Pornhub NETWORK, which is a group of interlinked pornographic video sharing websites, most of which are owned by MindGeek.[4] MindGeek (formerly Manwin) is a privately held Canadian company[8] that primarily focuses on pornography.[1] It is owned by Feras Antoon, Bernd Bergmair (Bernard Bergemar), David Marmorstein and newly Leonardo DaSilva[4][9] and operates many popular pornographic websites,[10] including video sharing services Pornhub, RedTube, and YouPorn, as well as adult film production companies Brazzers, Digital Playground, Men.com, Reality Kings, Sean Cody, and WhyNotBi.com, among others.[11] MindGeek is headquartered in Luxembourg, and maintains additional offices in Bucharest, Dublin, London, Los Angeles, and Montreal.[12][13] A spokesperson for the company stated that they are "one of the top five bandwidth consumption companies in the world".[14]

  31. having read so many reports and experiences on the forum, I decided it was time to share some of mine. my last trip was in January 2020 prior to the Covid situation staying at the Nile Ritz Carlton, which is not as fun in terms of local guys as it once was. However I managed to get a few encounters, the first at Khan-el-Khalili market, moving from stall to shop to stall, and young guy maybe early 20's stands in my way, he's really cute in his white shirt and jogging pants, "you buy, you buy" he smiles as i look at the trinkets on display in front of the shop, "more inside, very cheap" he smiles as he ushers me inside, the shop is really small, and cute guy is standing very close, i can feel him almost pressing against my side. "You have anything else for sale" i smile as i look down at the bulge he has in his jogging pants, perhaps to check that he knew exactly what i was asking, he replies "you married sir?", i shake my head, and he follows up with "you like egyptian sausage?" i smile, and moments later he has closed the shop door and im on my knees with an egyptian sausage in my mouth!, he cums pretty quickly, but it was a great 200 egyptian pound spent The second encounter was in the hotel itself, i went to the fitness centre, there was a black guy working in there, he has a body of a god, and i cant keep my eyes off him!, he helps me with some of the exercise equipment, and is fairly friendly. I tip him everyday that i am there and on the 3rd day, he sees me enter and comes straight over, we are chatting and again the line "you married sir?" once again i shake my head, but follow it up with "i could do with some company in my room if your interested", he goes quiet on me, and i think i have said to much, then as i leave, i give him an extra large tip, complete with a slip of paper with my room number on it. About an hour later there is a knock at the door, i open it to find black fitness guy stood there, he smiles "can i come in?" he enters, makes a point of telling me he isnt gay and only does this for money. We agree a fee, and then im on my knees with his dick in my mouth, if he wasnt gay before, he certainly tried really hard!, he stayed for maybe 20 minutes and left with 800 egyptian pounds. let me know if you want me to continue with my trip reports, and message me if you want any tips on travelling around north africa!

  34. During my last trip to Luxor my fun did not come from a local. I was staying at Steigenberger hotel which has great views over the Nile, its a nice hotel, maybe a little touristy for my tastes, but well located. I am walking past the pool, and there are plenty of other tourists, all sitting around enjoying themselves, then I spot this bronzed god like guy, he looks to be early twenties, obviously from Europe or America, dressed in just red coloured shorts, he knows he has been blessed with fantastic looks. I sit down by the pool with my book, but in all honesty I cant keep my eyes of him!. He looks to be there with 2 other guys, both much older, and from I can make hear, they are all speaking German. I continue to watch him for a while until he seems to gather his towel and make his way up the steps into the hotel, I quickly grab my things and follow. My luck was in, we both stand in front of the elevator waiting our turn, my eyes running up and down the back of the German god. We both enter and he appears to not even notice me!, I start the conversation with "its very warm today", he politely smiles, but other than agreeing with me, there is no emotion and no desire whatsoever on his part to chat with me! The only good news from this encounter is that I find out that he is on the same floor as me! I enter my room and switch on the A/C, enjoying the cool air and after taking a shower, I lay on the bed, and do the thing I tell most guys not to do... I open Grindr on my phone!!!! As I scroll through the available guys most of which are obviously scammers, I stop on one picture, my heart rate starts to increase, the picture is just a body pic of a white guy, he has a fantastic body, but it was the red shorts in the pic that made me stop!, it was him, I was sure of it.. It was obvious from his profile that he was an escort, and by reading the details on his profile obviously an expensive one. I messaged him, making sure to say how generous i was. He did not respond straight away but maybe 20 minutes later, he did. After a few messages, I ascertained he was mostly a top but would be versatile for the right price!, time to rob an Egyptian bank I thought!!, haha, however it turned out that whilst his rates were way more than anything a local would charge it was much less than guys in other European cities. A further 20 minutes later and he is in my room, red shorts on the floor, as he took a shower in my bathroom. I definitely tried to get my moneys worth, and thanked my lucky stars when he bottomed for me. I was totally exhausted by the end of that afternoon!

  35. It is true that some of the best action I had in Egypt, was not in Cairo, but in other places. Aswan being a really fun place, much more laid back than Cairo, but with plenty of cute young men! I had an experience when I decided to take a boat ride to the Temple of Philae, sitting overlooking the Nile watching the many touts plying their business for the boat owners, I walked down and along beside the boats, I saw these 2 young guys, in t-shirts and shorts, really cute, the first one walks over to me "boat ride, cheap price", I look him up and down and then look over at his friend, "do you both come on the boat ride as well?" I ask, but it was a negative from both of them, but they still wanted to give their usual sales line of how cheap the boat ride was. I smiled and said I was not interested if they did not come as part of the package. As I continued walking I could hear them chatting, well I say chatting, it sounded more like heated conversation. The second guy runs to catch me up "we can both come with you, you want tour guide, yes?" I look around and smile "I was thinking more about how sexy you both are". The aura of confidence he had seemed to drain from him!, however he eventually smiled and returned to his friend and their heated conversation resumed. A minute or so later and both of them were walking beside me, we discuss a price for the boat ride, and they show me towards the boat. An older guy appears to be the owner, and they all have a conversation, then help me on the boat, and we are off! I sit on one side, one of the guys beside me, his friend facing us. I am looking straight across the boat at the guys bulge, the guy next to me says "you here alone?" yes I replied, "you like boys, yes?" he asks, and I nod and smiled. We go on to discuss a fee for both of them, and soon guy opposite is rubbing himself through his shorts and I can see he is hard!, however we arrive at the destination and step off the boat. The first guy seems to rush ahead and moments later is back, he has obviously been looking for somewhere we can go. As one guy is look out, I am in the bushes with the first guy sucking him, then they swap over and I have a second dick in my mouth, both guys were super hard and really enjoyed oral. For apparent straight guys, both of them enjoyed themselves! There was the usual pattern of Egypt that when it was over and we walked back to the boat they wanted more money than had been agreed, but this was soon resolved, with the total excursion costing me 1000 Egyptian pound Looking back it was more risky than maybe I should have gone for, but well worth it!

    Marrakesh Visit

PART ONE: PRELIMINARY THOUGHTS: Here is a late update on my travels throughout Morocco. I traveled to Casablanca, Agadir, Fez, Rabat, and Marrakesh. All the cities had plenty of Arab men ready to offer their services in the street and via Grindr. But, the major obstacle mentioned elsewhere is very true… you have to have your own place. I was not able to find any “sex hotel” for short term stays, nor would the regular hotels allow me to bring any “guests” into the hotel even when paying for two people in a room. I was only able to sneak in one man in Fez by meeting him at the entrance to the hotel (big chain hotel) for a supposed “business meeting”, letting the doorman and manager know we were going to the restaurant when they directly asked the man why he was there, and they then watched us actually walk to the restaurant on the second floor! A Moroccan friend told me that anyone seeing an older western man with a younger Arab man immediately knows what is happening. In my “business meeting” I paid for the meal, gave the young man my room number, exited first to the elevator, and then the young man walked separately to my room as if he was staying in the hotel. We then took the elevator back to the 2nd floor restaurant together after our deed and exited from there together to the 1st floor exit as if we had just finished our meal. In the end it was rushed sex and quite good, but it was a bit too risky. In Rabat and Casablanca I decided to try Airbnb. I had been warned to NOT bring guys back to the Airbnb as they would try to blackmail me. Well, I gave it a try in Rabat and did ok. I brought back four guys during my stay there that I had met—three from the streets and one on Grindr. In Casablanca I met one guy at the famous caffe mentioned elsewhere and we walked back to my Airbnb. After the one-hour deed was done, I gave him the agreed upon 150 dirhams ($17) with another 50 dirhams for a tip. He then said he wanted MORE and would not leave until I gave him more. He tried to go through my luggage and such but I pushed him away. He then crawled into the bed and refused to leave. Threatening to call the police would do nothing since everyone knows the police will lock-up both the client and the escort. I relented and gave him another 200 dirhams. I showed him the 200, told him I would give it to him OUTSIDE the apartment, we walked out, and I gave it to him. Later he tried to buzz the doorbell of the apartment for several days after I had moved to another city. The owner texted me and asked if I had any problems and I told her this crazy guy kept asking for money while I was there. He could not admit he had had sex for money, since that in itself would have gotten him arrested. So, no more risking Airbnb I decided. In all cities but Marrakesh, there were just too many people always around to use the parks or side alleys for sex. I kept wondering why these Moroccans never seemed to sleep! I may consider doing other posts on the other cities in Morocco. MARRAKESH: I had a little luck on Grindr, the movie theatre, two parks, and the famous Jemaa el-Fna square. I stayed at a hotel which once again did not allow guests. So, my activity was limited to other places. The main avenue to find guys is “Avenue Mohammed V” (hereafter AMV). I decided to stay at a cheap tourist hotel called “Hôtel La Renaissance Marrakech” on AMV which is located by the traffic circle called “Place Abdel Moumen Ben Ali”. That circle is famous for gays in Marrakesh because of two “coffee bars” that are located on the corners that seem to traffic heavily in gays. They are not gay bars, but they are certainly gay-friendly. Every morning I would rise from bed, get dressed, and have breakfast at one of those two bars. The bars are “Café Grand Atlas” and “Les Negociants”, both of which have outdoor tables. The Atlas seemed to always have single gays or gay couples eating at the outside tables, reading their newspapers, smoking, and watching available boys walk by. You can easily make eye contact with a boy and offer him a chance to have breakfast with you. It is clear that some of the older Arab men find their younger guys here and usually leave with them to go elsewhere. I met a few guys, but neither I nor they had a place to go to. The staff at the bars will allow only decently dressed guys to eat with you, so the lower income guys are not welcome. I then took a long walk east each morning on AMV to get my exercise. Once you pass the McDonald’s on your left and see the KFC on your right, you will be at the intersection of “Jardin 16 Novembre”. It is immediately east after this intersection on AVM that you will start meeting guys in the evening from the Pizza Hut to the circle known as “Place de la Liberte”. There was a famous bar frequented by gays (once a week) at this location called the Diamant Noir Club. The streets in this area are actually quite famous historically for picking up guys, but the guys seem to move locations based upon how often they are harassed by police. I should note that this is the one place in Marrakesh where I actually found passive guys. There are a number of side streets places you can scope out in the light so that you can know where (alley, park, abandoned buildings) to go to with the guys in the evening. I never had a problem with any of the guys I picked-up there. If you then continue east on AMV after the Place de la Liberte, you will find the stretch of road where I had the best luck. It is known as the Art Garden and has a number of benches facing the road and in the garden itself. The garden/park is quite beautiful and has two spots at night where it is dark enough to do a little quick action with a guy. At night I would sit there and watch over 50 guys come by making eye contact. If you are interested, you can ask the guy to go into the garden and talk. I found many guys here for fun and you can do the deed in the dark sections there, or at the nearby dark areas east of the Wall Marrakech Doukkala in the Municipal Palace Garden. Now, if you keep walking east on AMV you will come to a little park on your right that is across from the Le Baratin restaurant and right before the large Koutoubia mosque. This is also quite famous for being the park where you can find guys. I found a number here who were willing to get sucked-off right in that park. It was quite scary given that the park is so open, but you will see this happening quite regularly. You can also take the guy down one of the side alleys to do the deed as well. If you walk across the road you will then be at the street leading to the world famous Jemaa El-Fna. PART TWO FOLLOWS...

    Arena closed?

I was just surfing the web and googled Arena and it's come up as permanently closed, looks like another casualty of the time but I would hope it will rise again. Whilst it wasn't the flashest of places I always thought of it as my rough and ready go to place, it was the one that I could always count on to get an ok to good massage and a very good shagging and mostly by well hung guys. Certainly never left Arena disappointed and had it on my to do list once we could travel back to Thailand. I had a bit of a laugh on my last trip when choosing the guy I asked for tops only and to see the number of hands go up and so quickly too, good times.

  38. From The Guardian newspaper "The Thai government has outlawed sharing news that “causes public fear”, even if such reports are true, as officials face mounting criticism over their handling of the pandemic. On Thursday, the government tightened an emergency decree imposed more than a year ago that initially targeted false news. "The latest restrictions forbid people from distributing “information causing public fear”, or from sharing “distorted information causing misunderstanding which affects national stability”. The measures have been widely condemned by media groups and rights experts as attempts to shut down negative news reports and silence debate. Sunai Phasuk, senior researcher on Thailand in Human Rights Watch’s Asia division, described it as a “serious blow” to press freedom in the country. “I think the government realises it is now facing a credibility crisis because of this disastrous response to the Covid situation, but instead of trying to find better solutions, more efficient solutions, it chooses to gag anyone from speaking about its failures,” he said. “This provision doesn’t care about accuracy or whether it is true or false.” "Under the regulations, if false content is spread online, the country’s broadcasting regulator will contact internet service providers to identify the individual’s IP address and block their internet access. "Internet providers who fail to comply will be deemed to have breached the requirements of their operating licences, and action will be taken against them." https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jul/30/thailand-bans-sharing-of-news-that-causes-public-fear-amid-pandemic-criticism

    Recognize this scene?

Anyone of us who's traveled to Hanoi has walked around Hoan Kiem Lake. I always stayed in the old Quarter and made the loop every evening. Today, Hanoi is in lockdown. The Vietnam Express published a series a deserted, eerie scenes from the city that remind us that this time it's sadly different. 41. I definitely agree that wait and see is not only the best strategy, it is the only one. With nearly 18,000 new cases yesterday - and those are only the ones we know about; the chances are there are a lot more - the government is nowhere near in control of the virus. Add the lack of vaccines and the very deep unrest being expressed on Thai social media, I would stay clear of Thailand for quite a long time. Worse, the CDC in the USA today claims that the delta variant is more dangerous that they have been aware to date. One chart on a CDC presentation yesterday shows that it is "as contagious as chickenpox . . . and spreads more easily than the common cold, the 1918 flu and small pox." Worryingly, it then states that in one recent outbreak in Massachusetts "vaccinated and unvaccinated people had nearly the same amount of virus recovered from test samples, indicating that vaccinated people are just as contagious as unvaccinated people when it comes to the delta variant." A summary slide states that the CDC should "acknowledge that the war has changed." This is just one variant. How many more variants are likely to appear over the next 6 - 9 months? The CDC presentation first appeared in The Washington Post. https://www.npr.org/2021/07/29/1022580439/a-cdc-internal-report-says-the-delta-variant-is-more-transmissible-than-a-cold
