Went to Lagoa last night, their first night open after about a month. Hours are Noon- 7pm but let most stay until 8pm. Was the busiest I think 've seen it in the new space. Namazu was there along with a couple of other board members. I told Namazu that people were waiting for his updates and he said he's busy "making new content", lmao I was also in Rio last week, the Atlantico Copacabana rooms were about $20 usd a night, felt like old times staying there. Lions is closed with doubts that it will re-open, who knows. Point 202 had a few good nights Meio Mundo is good on Monday, 117 was good on Tuesday, 202 on Wed.....but 202 seemed like it had the most going on more than just 1 night. With restrictions in SP of most everything closing at 7pm is kind of different, but I always plan to have someone come to my place after to keep me entertained. Seems like if you get into a restaurant or sauna before 7pm, you can stay until 8pm. That's all I got, not the writer like Namazu....I don't know how he does it

One wishes that @readerand @z909could find a way to stop the bickering here. We coexist with others on the site, and that doesn't necessarily mean liking everyone.

So, before our arrival I contact Manny, give him our flight info, explain what we are wanting to do during our stay, the people kind of people we want to hook up with, beach trips etc. and he arranges it all. He send pics and vids of all the guys and girls he has available and tell us to let him know which ones we were interested in. With everything set in motion, I leave to the DR with my hookah (as an Arab I always carry it with me lol) deep cleaning shower attachment, 4 different poppers, two tubes of lube and my hole ready to be worn out. Day 1 - Wednesday April 14th - The Arrival We arrive in Santo Domingo Airport and Manny is there there to pick us up personally. He takes us first to the grocery store to pick up provisions for our trip then to our Airbnb next to Parque Duarte (gay cruising park) in Zona Colonial. After Manny helps with the groceries and makes sure we are settled he announces has the lady ready for my friend to which my friend responds to bring her ASAP. He then pulls me aside to ask about if I wanted a guy that evening, but I told him I wanted to wait. This morning the message-forum.net went offline. All I get when I go there is a blank page. If this is good-bye, well, it did come as a bit of a sudden surprise. But with the death of founder Bill, things were looking doubtful. I have had a lot of good experiences there. (A friend has written that he, too, cannot get the site to appear.)

I'm one of those that just came over. I do hope it's a temporary thing while they work out the legal stuff.

Sometimes, people do not expect to pass away so suddenly. Or, they have it on the back of their minds to do, but never get around to it. Anyhow, I am grateful for the wonderful forum that was provided and hope to see it back up and running soon.

I wish them luck. It's unfortunate there was no succession planning.

Of course you have to be careful when taking boys back to your hotel or apartment. Once I was robbed because of my carelessness whilst I was staying at the Ambiance some years ago. The room safe was situated near the entrance door from the corridor and there was a further door before the bedroom. I had contacted a very attractive boy from an app for an overnight stay and by the morning everything seemed fine. I had enjoyed sex several times during the night and before he left I went to the safe, unlocked it and took out some baht from which I gave him his tip. Later as I was leaving the room I noticed I had left the safe door open and on checking the contents found that a $100 bill, left over from a trip to Vietnam was gone. I enquired at the desk and told what had happened and asked whether they knew the boy, but they said he was new to them and gave me quite rightly a lecture about being careful about boys and safes. I checked the app a few times - I think Romeo, but he did not appear.

As far as I heard on TV, all the inhabitants of Greek island have already been vaccinated. All that for the sake of saving tourism in the country. The visitors will only be required to have either a vaccination or a negative PCR test. I was on several Greek islands last year and everything was going smoothly.

My worst ever experience was nine years ago. I was drunk, late evening, and I invited a young gentleman from a chat site to visit my condo. On arrival we were sharing a drink when his phone rang, he chatted a while. When I asked he said it was his ladyboy friend who was downstairs and she could wait for him. Of course I said, please invite her up and she can have a drink while we play in my bedroom. (Stop laughing you lot!). At some point I heard my front door closing, went out to find my laptop computer, iPod, speaker all missing. I went crazy, dragged the young man downstairs and asked our security man to help me. He berated my visitor and the call was made, five minutes later the ladyboy rushed past sitting on the back of another person's motorbike, and threw down a bag which contained my iPod and speaker, but no laptop which is what I really wanted back. So the police were called, a large fat gentleman bursting out of his brown uniform arrived and was informed by the security man what was going on. He took the young gentleman round the back, and when they returned the young man had quite a few cuts and bruises and a black eye. Another phone call and the ladyboy again raced past on the back of a motorbike and threw down a bag with my laptop inside. By now it must have been four in the morning and I was exhausted and just staggered back up to my condo. My big mistake was not rewarding the brown suited chap. The next day I rewarded our security guard, and asked him to pass a reward on to the brown suit. Never again have I invited an unknown person over late at night or after drinking.

Thailand is quite unique in how few problems i have had of this kind as I have never had anything go missing while there is a boy in my room. I used to go to Prague where a few small things have disappeared and i have caught a couple of boy being nosy. Now I still act the way I did in Prague so there is never anything easy to find in the room and I always shower with the door open, also not drinking while looking for boys helps. Only in thailand have I had a boy come back asking if I had given him too much money because i had tipped him a little extra. ( 500 baht more than usual)

Yet while Thailand and Vietnam have been taking baby steps on LGBT rights, Taiwan has marched forward at considerable speed. It's extraordinary to realise that until 1987 Taiwan had been under martial law for close to 40 years. Since then, it has become a rare beacon of true democracy in Asia. It has also become the regional leader in LGBT rights. I don't know enough about the history but I do think it is partly a result of a group of committed LGBT activists who decided they would not use aggressive tactics. Instead, they emphasised co-operation with local and national governments and aimed at winning over what was regarded as a very socially conservative population. The end result is that almost two years ago, Taiwan enacted laws permitting gay marriage, the first country in Asia. Discrimination within the island is virtually a thing of the past. I believe the annual Gay Pride Parade in Taiwan had more than a little to do with this. The first formal Parade was held in 2003. Instead of being financed by commercial gay venues and associated gay products and attended only by sex workers and lardyboys (as was the case in Bangkok around the turn of the millennium - one reason why that Parade died very quickly), Taipei was organised solely by individuals. They wanted the Parades to be fun for both participants and those watching from the pavements. Each Parade also promoted a social message. The emphasis was co-operation. Over the years the numbers attending increased. Originally it was only gay guys and gals from Taipei. Quickly they were joined by members of the LGBT community in other cities on the island.
