Egypt trip report 2020

having read so many reports and experiences on the forum, I decided it was time to share some of mine. my last trip was in January 2020 prior to the Covid situation staying at the Nile Ritz Carlton, which is not as fun in terms of local guys as it once was. However I managed to get a few encounters, the first at Khan-el-Khalili market, moving from stall to shop to stall, and young guy maybe early 20's stands in my way, he's really cute in his white shirt and jogging pants, "you buy, you buy" he smiles as i look at the trinkets on display in front of the shop, "more inside, very cheap" he smiles as he ushers me inside, the shop is really small, and cute guy is standing very close, i can feel him almost pressing against my side. "You have anything else for sale" i smile as i look down at the bulge he has in his jogging pants, perhaps to check that he knew exactly what i was asking, he replies "you married sir?", i shake my head, and he follows up with "you like egyptian sausage?" i smile, and moments later he has closed the shop door and im on my knees with an egyptian sausage in my mouth!, he cums pretty quickly, but it was a great 200 egyptian pound spent The second encounter was in the hotel itself, i went to the fitness centre, there was a black guy working in there, he has a body of a god, and i cant keep my eyes off him!, he helps me with some of the exercise equipment, and is fairly friendly. I tip him everyday that i am there and on the 3rd day, he sees me enter and comes straight over, we are chatting and again the line "you married sir?" once again i shake my head, but follow it up with "i could do with some company in my room if your interested", he goes quiet on me, and i think i have said to much, then as i leave, i give him an extra large tip, complete with a slip of paper with my room number on it. About an hour later there is a knock at the door, i open it to find black fitness guy stood there, he smiles "can i come in?" he enters, makes a point of telling me he isnt gay and only does this for money. We agree a fee, and then im on my knees with his dick in my mouth, if he wasnt gay before, he certainly tried really hard!, he stayed for maybe 20 minutes and left with 800 egyptian pounds. let me know if you want me to continue with my trip reports, and message me if you want any tips on travelling around north africa!2 points -
What was the gay sex scene like in the 1970's?
AlexThompson and one other reacted to PeterRS for a topic
I come from a part of the United Kingdom where the 1967 law decriminalising homosexuality in England did not apply. So that law continued in force. Partly as a result, very few people were prepared to be known as gay. I remember my parents talking in hushed disapproving tones about a middle-aged man who worked in the local pharmacy. "He attends THAT club", I recall them saying, only realising some years later that it was the one place where gays could meet. Membership only! There was also only one shop down a back street that sold 'risky' photo books (only of women) and where guys would surreptitiously try not to be noticed when they came in for a box of condoms. Even at University there was virtually no gay culture. My first crush was with a late teen who stayed in one of the Halls of Residence. We got to know each other, started doing lots of activities together, even hiking at week-ends. But I was too scared of two things - rejection and being known as gay by someone who might not be gay. The gaydar signals that people threw off then were much less obvious. Eventually after many months, we realised our mutual attraction and started a short affair. It was wonderful! I knew nothing about STDs in those days. We just did not talk about them. Having taken a holiday in New York in 1978, I thought I was in heaven. On the day I arrived, a friend took me to the Gaiety Burlesque off Times Square. I was gob-smacked. Absolutely loved it and returned a few times. On my next trip a couple of years later, I discovered one of the large bathhouses (the Everard perhaps?). By this time I had had a trip to Amsterdam and became fixated on the sauna scene. All I now remember were the Day and Night saunas. It was at the Night sauna that I met my first Asian, a young guy from Indonesia. And wow, could he perform! I virtually became hooked on Asians ever since. In Paris I discovered a huge sauna near the old opera house at the Palais Garnier. I think it was called Le Continental. Almost a third of the many customers seemed to be Vietnamese. As in Amsterdam I fell for one and we had an amazing two nights together in my hotel. Working in London, I preferred the El Sombrero club on Kensington High Street in favour of bar hopping. Sombrero for a time was the place to be. I loved it because many of the clientele were Asian. As another poster has pointed out, condoms were rarely in evidence then. Soon I was to move to Hong Kong, little realising that it, too, had anti-gay laws on the statute books (they were only eliminated in 1990). My job meant annual visits to Head Office in New York. Since it was now the early 1980s, it was on one that I became aware of the new disease known initially as GRID. Soon this changed to AiDS with a death sentence attached. My European/American sauna going immediately ceased. Like many at that time, I was petrified that I might have become infected. For months I became monk-like, afraid both for myself and any partner I might unknowingly pass it on to. But I suppose the temptations of Asia were too great and I eventually came out of my shell of fear. The gogo-bars in Bangkok where the boys were often nude, the huge 690 Retiro Strip in Manila where the boys on the zig-zag catwalk were equally nude, two nights spent with one fantastic Chinese I met at Blue Boy Bar in Kuala Lumpur, the ease of picking up gorgeous guys on the street or in the malls of Singapore - I felt I was in seventh heaven. Then by the mid-80s, AIDS was becoming a much more serious threat to Asia. There was even talk that the bar owners in Thailand would ban customers from Hong Kong. But it never was put into effect. Not long after, Bangkok started what was to become a thriving sauna and massage scene. Given the law in Hong Kong, I was bit more cautious. Since at least the '70s there had been two gay bars - Dateline on the Island and Waltzing Mathilda on Kowloon. But it was known the cops kept a close eye on them. One of the barmen in Wally Matt was even a police informant. So I stayed away. Cruising, though, was not that difficult. I met my first Chinese boy when leaning on a railing looking at Hong Kong's fantastic harbour. He was about 30 meters away. Soon he was inching closer to me and I to him. We started chatting and our mutual interest was obvious. But not knowing him at all, I decided first to invite him to dinner a few days later. Believing I then knew him much better, he came home. My first conquest! It was to be the first of many. But we are now well out of the 1970s and so I will end there.2 points -

That’s a myth. The percentages of closeted white gays in non-urban environments are just as high as they are in the black community. It’s just that they don’t get the toxic label of “DL” tagged on them. That phrase actually went out in the early 2000s, by the way.1 point -

Yes msclelovr i do think that part of the reaction is due to how horny these guys get without any hetrosexual outlet, but we are only talking about a very small amount of locals who would entertain being sucked. In terms of you being a top, i think over 90% of the locals I met would have not entertained sucking guys, ,and certainly not bottomed for me. There have been a few exceptions, but mostly all locals are top only. Of all the places I have visited, Israel and France had more guys willing to suck and bottom.1 point -

During my last trip to Luxor my fun did not come from a local. I was staying at Steigenberger hotel which has great views over the Nile, its a nice hotel, maybe a little touristy for my tastes, but well located. I am walking past the pool, and there are plenty of other tourists, all sitting around enjoying themselves, then I spot this bronzed god like guy, he looks to be early twenties, obviously from Europe or America, dressed in just red coloured shorts, he knows he has been blessed with fantastic looks. I sit down by the pool with my book, but in all honesty I cant keep my eyes of him!. He looks to be there with 2 other guys, both much older, and from I can make hear, they are all speaking German. I continue to watch him for a while until he seems to gather his towel and make his way up the steps into the hotel, I quickly grab my things and follow. My luck was in, we both stand in front of the elevator waiting our turn, my eyes running up and down the back of the German god. We both enter and he appears to not even notice me!, I start the conversation with "its very warm today", he politely smiles, but other than agreeing with me, there is no emotion and no desire whatsoever on his part to chat with me! The only good news from this encounter is that I find out that he is on the same floor as me! I enter my room and switch on the A/C, enjoying the cool air and after taking a shower, I lay on the bed, and do the thing I tell most guys not to do... I open Grindr on my phone!!!! As I scroll through the available guys most of which are obviously scammers, I stop on one picture, my heart rate starts to increase, the picture is just a body pic of a white guy, he has a fantastic body, but it was the red shorts in the pic that made me stop!, it was him, I was sure of it.. It was obvious from his profile that he was an escort, and by reading the details on his profile obviously an expensive one. I messaged him, making sure to say how generous i was. He did not respond straight away but maybe 20 minutes later, he did. After a few messages, I ascertained he was mostly a top but would be versatile for the right price!, time to rob an Egyptian bank I thought!!, haha, however it turned out that whilst his rates were way more than anything a local would charge it was much less than guys in other European cities. A further 20 minutes later and he is in my room, red shorts on the floor, as he took a shower in my bathroom. I definitely tried to get my moneys worth, and thanked my lucky stars when he bottomed for me. I was totally exhausted by the end of that afternoon!1 point -

It is true that some of the best action I had in Egypt, was not in Cairo, but in other places. Aswan being a really fun place, much more laid back than Cairo, but with plenty of cute young men! I had an experience when I decided to take a boat ride to the Temple of Philae, sitting overlooking the Nile watching the many touts plying their business for the boat owners, I walked down and along beside the boats, I saw these 2 young guys, in t-shirts and shorts, really cute, the first one walks over to me "boat ride, cheap price", I look him up and down and then look over at his friend, "do you both come on the boat ride as well?" I ask, but it was a negative from both of them, but they still wanted to give their usual sales line of how cheap the boat ride was. I smiled and said I was not interested if they did not come as part of the package. As I continued walking I could hear them chatting, well I say chatting, it sounded more like heated conversation. The second guy runs to catch me up "we can both come with you, you want tour guide, yes?" I look around and smile "I was thinking more about how sexy you both are". The aura of confidence he had seemed to drain from him!, however he eventually smiled and returned to his friend and their heated conversation resumed. A minute or so later and both of them were walking beside me, we discuss a price for the boat ride, and they show me towards the boat. An older guy appears to be the owner, and they all have a conversation, then help me on the boat, and we are off! I sit on one side, one of the guys beside me, his friend facing us. I am looking straight across the boat at the guys bulge, the guy next to me says "you here alone?" yes I replied, "you like boys, yes?" he asks, and I nod and smiled. We go on to discuss a fee for both of them, and soon guy opposite is rubbing himself through his shorts and I can see he is hard!, however we arrive at the destination and step off the boat. The first guy seems to rush ahead and moments later is back, he has obviously been looking for somewhere we can go. As one guy is look out, I am in the bushes with the first guy sucking him, then they swap over and I have a second dick in my mouth, both guys were super hard and really enjoyed oral. For apparent straight guys, both of them enjoyed themselves! There was the usual pattern of Egypt that when it was over and we walked back to the boat they wanted more money than had been agreed, but this was soon resolved, with the total excursion costing me 1000 Egyptian pound Looking back it was more risky than maybe I should have gone for, but well worth it!1 point -

I have never understood the American love affair with daytime chat shows involving a celebrity host and a panoply of guests most of whom are promoting movies or books or something else. Perhaps living in Asia there are local language programmes of a similar nature. Thankfully I just do not know. What irritates me about these shows is they are so incredibly boringly predictable. An audience that seems made up of near brainless trained monkeys. Don't those watching realise that a studio manager spends a lot of time rehearsing these women before taping to get them into 'character' by teaching them to scream and jump up and down at even the most inane comments? When a free CD or book is given to all there seems to be a collective orgasm that is so fake. The games that are sometimes played are virtually senseless and the shows where lots of freebies are given out just one long commercial for the companies which donate the prizes. So, yes, I have seen her show but very rarely - maybe about ten of them over the years whenever i am in the US or a country where it is syndicated. I suppose everything is loosely based on Oprah's show which I did watch more often as it was screened in Thailand. But at least she sometimes had serious, meaningful conversations. Ellen seems to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Just my take!1 point -

Nowadays, nice for men in business has upgraded all the way to "doesn't regularly rape his interns". Nice for women still involves them erasing themselves to please others. Look how hard the British Media tried to erase Meghan Markle for actually existing as a person rather than some cardboard cut-out white person attached to a prince's arm. It happens all the time in media. Women are torn down because they aren't 'nice' enough. Men get a free pass unless they do something really, really heinous.1 point -

That’s a good reminder, especially for those first time travelers. I could mention my two most previous experiences to show some of the change: If you look on google maps, you can see Banana Island along with photos. My normal experiences in years past allowed me to have sex there two ways: first, I would take one of the boats from the east side of the Nile and go to the island alone. At the island are two cafes, three little farm display areas, a Banana grove farm area, a few private farm areas. and this funky fort structure. I would sit at the cafe, have a drink, pretend to read a book, and then eye some of the boat captains. We could go to the banana grove to do the deed. Sometimes the farm boys would also smile and do something for money. Well, my last visit last year had no action there and just old men and old women on the island. The old marina guy that has been there for 20 years told me that the young guys have to either joined the military for money or travel north for work. Now I did find another way this most recent stay: during the day you can go to one of the three private marina dock areas on the East bank. This is where you have the sexy guys acting as gay bait to get you to book a boat where an old man will suddenly appear as the driver. So, I found a really sexy boy at the entrance and told him I wanted to go to the the Island with HIM and ONLY him. He agreed. We went to the small boat with outboard motor. The old man suddenly appeared and I quickly said no and exited the boat. Then the young guy talked to the old man and the young boy alone took me to the island. There we enjoyed sex in the grove, a little snack, then another round of sex. The Island wasn’t very active, but I had found a way. On our way back we saw the Egyptian marine police that began to stop our boat. The boy asked me for 100 pounds (6 USD) and I quickly gave it to him. The police asked him a few questions and he said he had taken me to the Island for tourism. The boy gave them his ID with the money. They gave the ID back without the money and let us go. Come to find out, a permit license is required to ferry people so the money sufficed as a little gift. We went to the Island two other times with no problem. Thus, if you find no action on the Island itself, you can use it as a place during the day for sex if you can just make sure the sexy guy is actually the one to go with you. In days past that place was so crowded I remember every banana plant seemed to have westerners having sex with a guy. Alas, times have changed so we old men must adjust our tactics!!!!1 point -

Last time I was in Athens I stayed quite close to Omonia Square. It was three years ago, and although I talked to a few Syrian guys around the square, like my previous trip to Istanbul, I was too nervous to take any of them back. I realise now I was looking in the wrong side of the square. I approached the square from the south west, from the Pireos Street end, and the evening I went there I didnt head to it until about 11.00 pm. I remember getting more and more nervous watching the guys hanging around as I got to the closer to the square and in particular I was a bit spooked by coming across a covered walkway very close to the square to my right (linking Pireos and Athinas Street). It was obviously a shopping arcade by day, but at that time of night it there was about thirty guys lined up on the ground with blankets, evidently homeless and bunked down for the night. I was not used to seeing so many homeless people and any sign of slowing down or dawdling meant that guys, mainly Middle Eastern looking, approached you and offered drugs and girls. I sat down on a bench when i got to the square and a guy quickly sat down beside me. “You like boys or girls?” he asked. When I told him I liked guys, he offered to go with me for 50 Euros. I asked where he was from and he said he was a Syrian refugee. He looked about twenty and handsome in a rangy sort of way. But I was too nervous. I got up and headed back down Pireos, on the far side this time. Another guy sidled up to me. He informed me he would go with me to my hotel. “What, why?”, I said in mock innocence. He informed me that he had seem me chatting to the guy on the bench and that I had been right to reject him as he was “not good”. He himself was an Iraqi refugee and just wanted a little money. He pointed to the arcade and said “I sleep there, no money for food, Greece very hard for refugees”. He looked at me pleadingly. However, he had unwitting spooked me even more by making it clear to me that my movements around the square were being monitored by the hustlers, and the smell of desperation off him was a massive boner-killer. I pressed a five Euro note in his hand and almost ran back down Pireos St. In the end I hired a guy off Hunqz. I saw a guy offering massages for €40. I decided to go for him as I thought that not much would have been spent if it doesnt work out well. It turns out it was a “straight” married guy who was trying to earn a bit of money on the side. He told me he was unemployed and he made some money by teaching himself how to do massages and he mainly did massages for an amateur football team! I thought this sounded suspiciously like a set-up for a porn film, but decided to go with the flow. His English wasn’t that great but I gathered that while he had gotten clients from other sites before, I first client from Hunqz. I started to wonder (a bit crazily) that maybe he was a straight masseur who had set up a profile on Hunqz without realising quite what sort of site it was... Either way, by then I didn’t think much is going to happen so I said nothing about sex, and let him get down to business. After massaging me for a while he got aroused and started to poke my side with his erect dick and to play with my ass. He then started to attempt to fuck me. It happened quite suddenly actually and without him saying anything - I actually had to stop him to get him to put on condom. I ended up having a very good time and I gave him €80 at the end of it. It was probably one of my best ever experiences with hiring guys. But the next time I am in Athens I want to try out that cinema, although I wont have the energy for the schedule of Santiaodc!1 point -

PART THREE: OMNIA SQUARE (red outline area on map below): This place is brimming with Middle Eastern young men for sex. This is a place you either love or hate (as our other reviews here have shown)!!!! The whole square is very seedy, but the area for sex is the northwestern part of Omonia. This is the part in front of and surrounding the Hondos department store. The Syrian, Iranian, and Iraqis are usually sitting/standing at the top of the tube escalator that empties in front of the juice bar Gregores (red circle). The escalator that empties in front of Hondos (and the elevator area) usually has the Greeks and eastern Europeans (red circle). As you face Hondos, the side pedestrian street on the left side is filled with Afgans and Pakistanis. The same can be found on the right side of Hondos on the side walk. It is also the case that if you cross the street to your east you will find several outdoor cafes. One of them, whose name escapes me, you will find has old gay men sitting with their young male companions. I usually frequent the outdoor café/restaurant right in front of Hondos where I can sit and watch the boys on offer (dotted red on map). When I arrive at Omonia I usually take a complete walk around the Hondos center and then spend a few minutes seeing what is available by standing at the top of one of the two escalators. Now there is a nearby police station, so do not be so stupid as to do business in public. As to where you can go for sex, that is rather easy. All the boys will know that there are three possible sex hotels from which to choose. One is one block to the west (the one I prefer), there is one next to the Kosmopolit cinema, and then one more one block east of that. So, for those not familiar… once you negotiate what you want with the boy and how much to pay, you then proceed to the hotel. Just tells the boys to show you the hotel. You will probably pass a number of female prostitutes along the way who also use these hotels. Once you get to the hotel, you approach the clerk and hand over 5-10 euros depending on which hotel you go to. No id is required. I do this with one swift motion as I hand the 5 euro with my right hand whilst my feet continue to move to the elevator with the boy. It is usually the second floor if you choose the hotel west of Omonia, but that changes over time. The boy will know the floor. Once you get off the elevator, you will be in a hallway with about 10 rooms. There will probably be one or two couples (gay and straight with prostitutes) waiting ahead of you for a room. Once a room is clean, the maid will motion for you and you enter the room. It has a bed with one fitted sheet on top, tv with porn, a bathroom, two towels, and usually a condom. You have between 30-40 minutes until the maid will bang on your door. Most of the Syrians were especially phenomenal kissers and fuckers. Often they would also ask if I would fuck them as well. Interestingly to me, the Afgans always liked to get fucked and kiss. My usual deal was 25 euro for the boy and 5 euro for the room. I have found it safe 99.9% of the time and only had one problem. I once got a boy back to the room and he stripped. I then looked and noticed he had a small discharge from his penis even before it got hard. It was clear he had gonorrhea or chlamydia , so I used google translate to tell him how to get some medical care. A friend of mine DID have one problem when a guy could not get hard to fuck him, so he paid the guy only 10. The guy went ballistic and would not allow my friend to leave until he paid more. My friend then started yelling for the maid who started banging on the door. The boy had to relent and my friend left. I never had problems and had some amazing repeat business with these boys. Most of these boys ALSO show up a few hours later at Victoria Park where they are also available for more sex. TYPICAL DAY: I would begin the morning with work. Around 11:30 am I would take a nice walk to Omonia Square to see if there was a young male appetizer I might enjoy. I would walk completely around Hondos Center and then stand for a while at the top of the two escalators. I would always find someone. After going to the nearby hotel for sex, I would return and settle down at one of the cafes for lunch…usually the one right in front of the Hondos Center. During my time I would regularly make eye contact with another young man and invite him over for lunch. After lunch he and I would go to the sex hotel for some fun. I would then walk back to my place to freshen up and take an afternoon nap. Afterwards, I would walk over to Pedion Park for an afternoon to sample one of the guys there. Then, I would walk back to Omonia for some theatre action where I would always find one or two guys to my liking. After some sex, I would leave and have a coffee and enjoy one of those amazing Greek rice curd desserts they have. I would then return to the theater for one more round. After this I would walk up to Omonia Square and see what was on offer. I would always take at least one guy to the sex hotel for some fun, sometimes two. Afterwards, I would make my way to Victoria Park. They have some nice caffes with outdoor seating right off the top of the tube escalator that are perfect for eating dinner and watching boys. If I did not catch the eye of anyone special, then I would check Grindr or PlanetRomeo to see what was on offer. As was almost always the case, I would find someone in Victoria Park to take back to my place for a late-night snack. I would generally repeat this pattern, but add the two bars especially on Friday/Saturday nights when new guys would appear. For those not yet familiar with these areas, then simply use the street view of google maps and you can see pretty much everything that I noted above. Good luck and be sure to report back on your visits!1 point -

I say fuck the snowflakes! Too many people in the work force are a pain in the ass. They're lazy, incompetent, and selfishly over-sensitive. And many feel entitled. In show business, you have unions that protect people who deserve to be replaced. Firing people is not as easy as you think. I'm not suggesting Ellen is a perfect human being. No boss is perfect. And she's now paying the price for not being perfect. But, when you're running a multi-million corporation, and you're the star of the show, believe me, the pressure is no laughing matter. Egos run LARGE in show business. However, no matter who the boss is, you will always find disgruntled workers, people eager to complain about something. Thanks to social media, snowflakes are attempting to gain power. Mediocre workers do not deserve special treatment. That said, just because you're "Ellen," it does not give you the right to behave nastily. If Ellen were a true CUNT, far more people would be speaking out, and there would be large turnover of senior executives over a short span of time. For a true "cunt" meter, one has to look at the inner circle.-1 points -

I seriously doubt, in line with Rockhard's estimation, that Ellen was any worse to work for than anybody else. I worked as a corporate lead on communications at various companies. This is a typical media-manufactured story. Somebody complains. Somebody offers rewards for stories about Ellen on twitter. Needless to say, stories are created, and a woman who isn't nice enough to suit people is trashed. The media get their eyeballs, people 'twitter' about the woman who has been shown her place. You call it being a republican, I call it not buying bullshit sexism. This story would very likely not happen if Ellen was a guy.-1 points -

I think that jury hung themselves, waiting for an Out&Loud celebration (and a free car). Gay life in the Black community is its own weird thing. The closet and DL take on new meaning and psychosis. The stilted behavior does fascinate me, but I know too many Black gays who lead confused and tormented lives. For a variety of reasons, many cannot find a way to safely come out. Way too much pain and baggage for me to carry.-1 points
