  2. Hello, today my tip goes to those who are in São Paulo and want another option besides the saunas. The queen bar, is a bar aimed at the gay public, but some days women also go, on Friday there is the famous black-out night, where there are interactive boys who play with customers. These boys usually do it on the outside, the gogo also a large portion go out with customers, even if most deny it, the gogoboys usually charge more expensive than the interactive ones, something between 400 to 500 reais. PS: the bar does not allow sex on its premises, the owner André is beautiful and polite and the drag Mariana is great, so make your contacts there and then enjoy. MOV_0573.mp4

  3. Gay bars have depended on foreign workers for many years; and the same is true of the Thai economy generally. Cheap, un-unionised, easy to get rid-of, often ill-treated.... now it's all their fault. Who made money out of "illegals" , to use Trump's favourite word? Yes, the workers- but not very much. More went into the pockets of their employers, corrupt officials and politicians. And remember that the first immigration-dodgers who brought Covid into Thailand - in Chiang Rai- were probably Thai women who'd been working as bar-girls for rich Burmese in a posh hotel. Or perhaps the smugglers and enablers. As always, "it's the poor wot gets the blame." It's not as though they wanted to be infected; I suspect that a more likely explanation is that they had family to support. Another example of capitalism exploiting the poor and then blaming them for the consequences.

  4. Well, I do not think you offended me and I do not think this paragraph should be deleted, but it is clearly racist commentary. I have seen loud Americans of all Colors when traveling internationally. I have seen loud, disrespectful people of all nationalities when traveling internationally. Just as an example specifically contradicting your observation, Brazilians of all Colors can be quite loud anywhere. Your comment targeting Black Americans is clearly racist to me.

  5. This is not just a black American queen traveling group problem. This is an American traveling group problem. It’s definitely an “Ugly American” problem that deserves to be called out across the board — not just singling out black travelers, or black queens, or blacks, or queens. Too many Americans act like entitled, loud, selfish, boorish centers of the universe whenever they travel — and they tend to get much worse when they travel in groups like them. I have noticed it from Americans of all colors — and yes, it’s embarrassing to be an American abroad when this happens. Why you single out the black ones or the black queens could be because you notice them more, while letting the non-black ones off the hook for the very same or similar boorish behavior. I’m not going to go as far as to call you a bigot like some did above, but your choice of language and how you identified the offenders could have used some more thought before you posted it. You had a very great point to make that, unfortunately, will be forever lost in an inexplicable interest in describing the offenders the way you did.

  6. I know you have decided against going to Brazil @MiamiEthan until possibly March, but I thought I'd get my 2 cents in, while it is about 4 PM here in Fortaleza where I am now, and the BF is sleeping at the moment, and soon we shall be hitting the saunas here. Yeah, these months are the sweet spots for cheap biz class flights. In August to October time, the pandemic meant having a whole economy row to yourself to recline and sleep the flight away, but I've found in my flight back in November, and again in December, with the flights getting fuller, I decided that those still cheap biz flights were the way to go, and actually helped my clinch Executive Platinum in American for the first time ever. As for non-sauna activities, plenty to do in rio of course, but be reminded that in pandemic times, a lot of the acitvities are still either closed or scaled back. And sadly, when it rains in Rio, its actually kind of depressing, because of the beaches and such. I've found that winter in Rio (June to August/September) is the perfect time to go, as it is not oppresssively hot, and precipitation is the lowest in the year. I've had my best, and funnest, times in Rio in these months. So maybe its probably best that pospone your trip anyways. I was in Rio last week and there was appreicable sun to enjoy in 3 out of the 9 days I was there. It was glorious when the sun was out, but two-thirds of the time, I was indoors. Have a warm boy to cuddle with at these times, which, quite frankly, is not hard to do there. The best teacher is experience, and all the preparation in the world won't prepare you for what you will encounter in the saunas. i'd say just dive in and enjoy! But to answer your question: Are the folks naked - no. the majority of the people in the sauna have towels wrapped around their waists. The more bold garotos will be jacking off their erect penises to entice punters, and some will give you a flash of the goods, in the guise of adjusting their towels. Some saunas have naked nights, where the boys can get in for free, if they are naked all night, but I've never encountered this in Rio (or SP) saunas. Are the clients naked? Thankfully, no. Again, most are in towels, and some are even in street clothes, except if the sauna require everyone to be in towels (I'm looking at you, Sauna Olimpo in Belo Horizonte). Some boys have a strategy and wear either skimpy undies or gym shorts with no underwear, to help distinguish them from other towel-wearing boys. It works sometimes, if the boy has a big juicy butt that gets obscured by a towel, so undies will accentuate this, or has a big penis even when soft, so thin gym shorts will show the pendulum swinging. TL;DR - most people are in a towel. Safe bet for you, if you want to blend in. No you don't rent a room when you get in, you only do when you are ready to do the dirty with your prince charming. Or in my case, if I needed to join a work conference call while in a sauna. I recommend doing this while a boy gives you a blowjob. Best conference call ever. Room rates depend on the sauna and day and type of room, but generally can go from 20 reais to 60 reais, for 40 minutes to an hour each time. Most of them don't speak English, but nothing beyond what is required in a sauna can't be solved by google translate. The majority of the boys know the basic phrases to ask to get what they need, and it is actually comical when a boy resorts to sign language. Still, this trip, I found a surprising number of GPs I had the pleasure of knowing, actually knowing more than basic english. Which was bad for me because I always want to practice my Portuguese with the locals. I didn't sweat and toil all these years to learn this language, to only speak english while in Brazil. Since you are months away from your trip, I suggest at least knowing some phrases. Sample here: https://www.travelandleisure.com/travel-tips/basic-portuguese-words-phrases-for-travel . I'd also listen to spoken PT on YouTube if you have the time. So at least you know how it sounds like. I do not have experience with Fasano, but its a mixed bag sometimes when it comes to Rio lux hotels. Some hotels don't care about the occasional guest (JW Marriot, Pestana), but some either require the guest to leave their ID at reception, or even insist they be registered with you in the room (Hilton). If you are gonna have parties/orgies at your room with a handful of GPs (and why not right), best be at an AirBNB. There are Rio AirBNBs with english language listings and english speaking hosts. that are in apartment buildings that won't have a problem with guests. Just be vigilant that a listing does not mention "NO GUESTS ALLOWED" in the rules of the house. You don't have to haggle. Say no if you think the price is too high. No boy is irreplaceable. Trust me. 9 times out of 10, they'll haggle down for you. Just (a) agree on the price before the programa and (b) agree on what you expect him to do when in the room, to avoid confusion. I always ask for the price. I am always curious what they think of me, based on the price. But if you have a price per programa in mind (or can afford), don't be afraid to quote it. The worse that can happen is they say no and walk away. Move on. I do hate the favorable exchange rate the dollar has with the real, because I made it rain last week in Rio. And it was not with water. I'd nail down any specific freaky thing you want to be done to you beforehand. I always prefer having the boy to myself when discussing this. Sometimes a boy is embrassed to say he is a bottom, or sucks dick, or pees on command, or whatever else you want out of him, in front of others. And yeah I do like the getting a kissing sample out of them before a programa. I get a sense on how close a boy wants to be with me in that kiss. If you are at all concerned about COVID transmission, then simply delay your trip till after a vaccine at least. I think all the signage and mask wearing of the employees in the saunas is simply theater. There is lots of mitigation while in the general areas of Rio, but in the saunas, noone wears a mask expect the employees, and how would you ever mitigate COVID when you are getting your freak on with a boy? Hazmat suit sex is not appealing. MEEEEEE, but you have postponed your trip to possibly March, so maybe see you then!

  8. I have been to Mexico and several Central and South American countries, but this was my first foray into Cuba. I spent 6 days in Havana and the surrounding area. This report encompasses my impressions of the city and the scene in Havana. There are still many beautiful men in Havana. There are MANY guys trying to make money by having sex with tourists. The scene is mostly on the street, but also at the bars, and there are some peculiarities that I have not experienced elsewhere. On my first night, I strolled down to the base of “La Rampa”, or The Ramp, which is a five-block-long incline that leads from the high point at Ave 23 and L Street down to the Malecon on the oceanfront. I noticed many guys sitting around on the raised wall of some planters along the route. The wifi in Cuba at this point is very difficult and glitchy—you must buy a wifi card for 2 CUCs ($2) and go to a public park to log in to the wifi signal, which is often weak, or which may disappear entirely at points. For this reason, apps like Grindr and Scruff and Planet Romeo are of limited use—I got many messages on them, but the guys often did not respond until hours later or the next day. In this way, Cuba really is a face-to-face cruising environment, which is fine with me. The very first time I sat down and tried to log onto the wifi, a guy sitting about 10 feet away from me moved over and said hello. He was clearly a young gay guy, and he pulled out his phone to help him translate, since I couldn’t understand all of his rapid Spanish. I almost choked when he showed me the translation, which was “do you want a child?”—until I realized that he had typed chico, which is really just slang for boy, or (more accurately), “guy”. I laughed and told him that the translation was NOT a good translation, and explained a bit, and he immediately pulled out his ID (which all Cubans are very conscientious about carrying on their person at all times—in case it is needed), to show me that he really was 18 years old. He was friendly, but not exactly my type, and we chatted for a bit and I moved off to seek out some more fun. I discovered during my trip that the Cuban gay nightlife is very organized, almost as if all the bars were owned by the same person, and the bars often cross-promoted with other bars (the most popular bar during the week, Club Las Vegas, which is standing room only on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, does not even open on Saturday, just as an example—can you imagine a gay bar in the US voluntarily closing on a weekend night, just because that night was more popular at another bar?) A sidenote about the gay bars: the entertainment is extremely uniform across the bars. Wherever you go, there are drag queens, followed by a few group dance routines (including some professional dancers), followed by more drag queens. On the night of my arrival, on Tuesday night at Club Las Vegas, I was told that I needed to buy a bottle of rum for $25 if I wanted a table (it came with three colas as mixers), or I could simply pay a $10 per table fee. I opted for that. The show was capped off by the drag queen IMPERIO “El Icono Trans de Cuba”, and she sang (lip-synced) 8 fucking songs in a row as the finale. I have never seen a more self-indulgent display. She has her fans, but she’s her own biggest fan. The scene for rentboys is this: along La Rampa from dusk until around 8 pm, guys gather to socialize and see if they can make some money. After sundown, many move to a restaurant called Toke, on the corner of Calle 25 and Infanta (a decent restaurant that makes good cocktails and offers cheap and totally acceptable food, but which only has seating for around 30 people, half indoors and half in front). That occupancy is if all the tables are occupied by the full complement of two or four guests, but the Cubans seated me by myself at a table for four, and many of the other tables were occupied by single guys, so the actual occupancy is more frequently limited to around 15 people. There were something like 30 to 50 boys hanging out on the street in front, trying to make some money. They will walk right up to you as you eat (if you are in front), and ask if you will allow them to sit and buy them a drink. This arrangement took place every night I was there, with the single exception of Saturday night, when the crowd gathered later in the evening, around 9 or 10 pm. When the bars open (around 11 pm, truly “night” clubs), much of the action moves inside. I had several guys beg me to pay their cover or take them in and buy them a drink. If you go in alone, you will continue to be hit up aggressively by the guys who are already inside the club, for drinks and sex. At this point, it becomes necessary to mention one of the peculiarities of Cuba—even though it was clear these guys had almost nothing, and they really wanted to make some money, none of them wanted to come out and give a price. They responded with simple assurances such as, no, whatever we do is fine with me, and if you like me and wish to give me a gift, that is fine. They may express boundaries such as “I don’t get fucked”, but across the board, they were willing to suck dick (if, as it turned out on my first choice, somewhat amateurishly), but they were otherwise genuinely friendly and eager to please. My type could be described as adorable masculine guys with (most important) a cute face, a nice body (which could be naturally muscular due to genetics and age, or could be a gym body), FRESH BREATH (this killed many of the otherwise beautiful guys I met in Brazil), nice dick, and friendly. I found this the first night with a 21 year old that I picked up on the street after leaving the bar. When we got back to the place, we made out for quite a while, and he was an eager kisser and not at all squeamish. When it came to sucking dick, though, he was turned off by the obvious precum that I was producing. Still, he attempted to suck my dick (never suggesting a condom), while still stopping frequently to spit out the precum/quickly wipe his tongue. It was fun, but it was not really getting anywhere, and he had agreed to come with me based on whatever I wanted to pay, so I wasn’t too upset, partially because I have encountered this reaction many times before (it really is copious), and partly because he was such a nice guy and so eager to please. We ended up just shooting on each other’s tongues. I paid him $30 CUCs, and he seemed extremely happy, saying “thank you!” enthusiastically. Afterwards, he was enthralled by my NastyPig hat, and wanted me to take photos of him modeling it, so I have several photos, even though he never requested that I send a photo to him—I guess it just made him happy that a photo of him wearing that hat existed. He did want to see the photo, and he smiled when he saw it. I went to the beach twice while I was there—Mi Cayito, which is the “gay” beach. It is a 30 minute cab ride from Havana—and all of the cab drivers I spoke to quoted me a price of $25 CUCs for the ride (taxis were the only expensive thing I encountered in Havana). The first cab driver offered to wait for me for several hours, rather than wasting gas back to the city, and I said yes. This arrangement isn’t a bad idea, but you will be able to find a taxi later on, so you shouldn’t worry too much about this point. If there are no taxis immediately available at Mi Cayito when you decide to leave, a 5 minute walk will bring you to a more populated area. The scene on the beach was laid back. You can rent a chair and umbrella for 2 CUCs each. The stand is run by the government, and they close precisely at 5 pm on weekdays and 6 pm on weekends. There is a little restaurant/bar over the dune, near the parking lot, and they offered drinks for around $2.25, plus food, and they were very friendly. I did see one older guy running food back-and-forth from the food stand, but he never approached me or my end of the beach, so I’m not sure if he was a freelance person who just showed up to offer his services as a waiter or what. That may well have been the case—there was a guy in La Habana Vieja who makes his living telling tourists on the street that there is a bar on the top of Hotel Ambos Mundos (something not immediately apparent), and then hoping for tips from grateful patrons who appreciated his assistance. Havana was full of people who had apparently carved out a similar extremely tiny niche for themselves. The second boy I picked up was an 18 year old that I also met on the street. He had said hi to me the day before, but we finally connected on my second night in town. He was a darker guy with more African features, a large cock, and a wicked smile. He was also very dirty. He was conscientious about telling me that he need to take a shower before we could do anything. He also left my bar of soap covered with a dark film, so it was clear that he had needed the bath. He turned out to be less squeamish about sucking dick than my first guy, but he did quote a price to me: $25. He offered to let me fuck him bareback for an additional $5, but I skipped that option. A last note: the first boy that I met on the street, the 18 year old who I had passed over, primarily because he was a little femme for my tastes, followed me for several days and kept trying to say hi, before simply telling me that he is great at sucking dick, and he swallows, and he would do it for whatever I wanted to pay…$10, or $15. So if you aren’t picky, it would seem that Cuba still offers many eager guys who are willing to do most anything you would want.

  12. as I said in my first post, "soapy, i.e. straight brothels running as such". It is a distinct category of massage shop, in Thai called "aab ob nuad" (อาบอบนวด). Not to be confused with ANY "normal" massage shop offering HE and more, gay or straight. Last night, Hotmale and Midnight beer bars were open. Surprisingly Dream Boys was open too, just no shows I was told. Moonlight is closed until Jan 4th (if no extension of the city order)

  13. Thank you for offering up what the term "punter" means. I've been accessing this site for a few years and had no idea. Nor have I ever used it in conversation. Which brings me to another topic....communication. I would appreciate it if guys would care about clear communication when posting on this site. The abundance of acronyms used (since when is PT short for Portuguese?) and the lack of proofing is frustrating. Some sentences make no sense at all. Thank you.

    Oculus Quest 2 VR

Wasn't sure if this went in Entertainment, Fitness, or Tech, so I'm putting it here! VR finally doesn't suck, and doesn't require a $3000 computer either! https://www.oculus.com/quest-2/ It is self-contained (but can also attach to a high-end PC for many more games at even higher quality) and amazingly responsive with decent graphics. No tether for power or content.. About 2 hours of battery life which is longer than I usually go in any one session anyway. It can also wirelessly cast (stream) what you're seeing to a chromcast or software running in a web browser so others can share. What matters is the responsiveness, really keeps the motion sickness at bay. And it just got an update to a higher refresh rate! And it costs $299!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes $299!!! So far there's not much need to spend the extra $100 on the higher-storage one. The $50 for the better head strap is probably good though, once the issue is fixed with them and they're shipping again. What can you do with it? Many games, including a Walking Dead one that's likely to scare the shit out of you, space stuff, social stuff, a lot of move to the beat type of stuff, lot of shooters. Most are $15-$25 each. Favorites everybody agrees on so far are Beat Saber (slice boxes to the beat with light sabers), Pistol Whip (shoot people in the face to the beat, AKA John Wick), Superhot (another shooter, more strategic), but there's just about something for everybody and more coming quickly. Also, many experiences, I docked a SpaceX module to the ISS a couple days before it was all the rage today! That ISS experience and many others are free, some are $10. Something else VERY COOL is watching standard media in the headset. Netflix, Youtube, Prime, etc. Some have VR content but even just watching a movie is very immersive. Could imagine doing it on a plane, though you would look like a tool... And of course... PORN... There's a fair amount of VR porn sites and I've only played with them once/briefly so far, in my quick survey I think it was PornHub that rocked. Others wanted you to side-load an app, whereas Porn hub could just run. Basically most are a VR movie where you're dead center in the middle of the action, can look around anywhere but not move around, and dick or ass in my face made me feel cross-eyed. Not raring to fire it up and rub one out but might play a bit more at some point. I'm guessing Oculus's going to be fairly prude-ish about allowing adult-content official apps, but so far it's an easy couple hoops to enable developer mode and side-load anything you like. That could well change at any time though, because... What is the downside? Well, there's a pretty big one... Oculus was acquired by Facebook and the Quest 2 requires a legitimate Facebook account to use. Yeah, you can private-mode the web-browser inside to go to YouPorn but Facebook probably knows... Some have tried to create a dummy account and been suspended losing all purchases and even use of the device. Igor can lie about his name and location to tell you Biden stole the election but can't be allowed to use a VR headset anonymously! Good job Facebook! It's unclear how much additional value they'll get out of this info but they're getting in on the ground floor. If you have any interest there's a good number of reviews and YouTube channels dedicated to the subject... Good channels on the subject that *may* be gay-run... https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCN0FGqUt7e79xKoPAZQ8tww https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNoGPh6-xT7afBoudgrx56Q It's a hell of a thing to play with, especially if you haven't been able to go out much for 6+ months, and can be a great fitness aid too.

I'd like to say I tried it but I don't play games or really much of anything I'd use it for. I have seen some VR tours and they are quite fascinating. But, never tried any device for this at all. If Facebook has anything to do with it, I don't think porn will take off with it.

I've had money in cryptocurrencies since about 2012, made a few mistakes selling early and re-buying too high. I would be a multi-millionaire if I had of just held on to it all, but hindsight is 20-20 as they say. BTC and XMR are the only two i hold onto now, It's an interesting investment/gamble, but very high risk.

As i said i was there for 25 days in 2 months during 2 trips! i had sex with approximately 25 + guys (many repeats 2 guys came every afternoon to my apartment! Another i saw 4 different nights for sleepover(, i also had a 5 way, ....i came back covid and std free! For me it was worth it!

  19. [Sorry, I tried snipping the quote down but the CC’s at the bottom will not delete using backspace] Re: amount of COVID risk ... this can be quantified for the state of Rio de Janeiro based on current reported new infection incidence data, for any arbitrary number of persons. For example, the current probability of minimally one person with contagious novel coronavirus on board, among a total of about 50 people, is 35%. I imagine it is higher than 35% for the municipality of Rio de Janeiro because the urban per capita rate of infection tends to be greater. Apart from the difference between city and state, the figures are adjusted for a standard undercount; if the bias correction is too low relative to the unknown ratio of reported cases to actual cases the risk percentage also increases. It is an estimate of infection within your interactions, not literal likelihood of transmission. It may help to settle on your own degree of risk tolerance. If you can live with the possibility of a 75% chance at least one person in your interactions throughout your visit has transmissible infection the corresponding number of people is approximately 160.

  21. From Channel News Asia TAIPEI: Taiwan has agreed to buy almost 20 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, including 10 million from AstraZeneca, the government said on Wednesday (Dec 30), adding that it had confirmed the island's first case of the new British variant of the disease. Taiwan has kept the pandemic well under control thanks to early and effective prevention and strict quarantine of all arrivals, with imported cases accounting for almost all its tally of 798, including seven deaths. The island's Central Epidemic Command Centre said apart from AstraZeneca, it had agreed to buy 4.76 million doses from global vaccine programme COVAX, and was still in talks with another company it did not name. The first vaccines are expected to arrive in March at the earliest, it added. The AstraZeneca vaccine, being jointly developed with Oxford University, was approved by the British regulator on Wednesday, soon after Taiwan's announcement. Taiwan plans to get a total of 30 million vaccine doses to cover about 65 per cent of its population, the centre added.

  22. From Bangkok Post Herbal Covid treatment cleared, vaccine registration opens Health officials said Thailand is ready to register Covid-19 vaccines after separately approving the use of a herbal plant extract to treat early stages of the disease as a pilot program amid a flareup in the coronavirus outbreak across the country. Andrographis Paniculata, commonly known as green chiretta, will serve as an alternative treatment to reduce the severity of the outbreak and cut treatment costs, the health ministry said in a statement Wednesday. The treatment will be available in five state-owned hospitals initially, it said. Thailand reported 250 new cases on Wednesday, taking the nation’s total to almost 7,000, and a government official said the rate of increase in local transmissions was alarming and urged people to stay at home to prevent the virus from spreading further. The government has also banned large gatherings in high-risk areas, said Taweesilp Witsanuyotin, a spokesperson for the national Covid-19 response centre. The herbal treatment will be on a voluntary basis for those in the 18-60 age group with minor symptoms and should be within 72 hours of confirming infections The extract from the plant, known as Fah Talai Jone in Thai, can curb the virus and reduce the severity of inflammation, the ministry said, citing studies. Human trials showed patient conditions improved within three days of the treatment without side effects if the medicine is administered within 72 hours of testing positive. Separately, the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said it’s ready to register Covid-19 vaccines. The FDA has opened a special channel for the registration to ensure speedy processing.

  25. LOL, noone would pay for this. I think when I becomes bfs with a guy here, there is an implied shelf life on both sides of the relationship. I put the kibosh on the relationship if it seems that it is evolving into something that would require me to take the boy to the USA. Thankfully this almost never happens, and I think I instinctively embark on relationships with boys that dont seem to be interested in taking it to the next level. I think Paulo also wishes that this has a finite shelf life, but I think right now we are giving each other what we need right now. He ahs definitely given my trips the needed kick it needed. You're welcome! Ask anyone who has met me and know me personally, yes I seem to be the sex maniac in real life as I portray myself in my reports. This has been the huge downfall in my life... always looking for sex. And if there are times I am not horny, it does not take much to get me there, and there is nothing like a sexy young guy that takes me to this state of horniness. How can it not? Especially in Brazil. Also, I am a huge proponent of "faking it till you make it" which means even when not horny, I can get there quickly if I put my mind to it, and get the necessary tools to get me there. TL;DR - I am a slut. Bonus Sao Paulo topic: I know this is interesting to some people wondering. I was at the Quality Suites Bela Sintra which is just across the street from Espaco Lagoa, and while waiting in the lobby for a friend to come, happend upon this guy, with a client, checking out of the hotel: It was unmistakenly Adriel Fernandes, the popular stripper in Lagoa and other SP haunts. I guess this confirms that he can be bought. I'd wanna chase that one of these days.

  29. In the US, we say embargo, in Cuba they say El Bloqueo. We don't call it the Blockade, so I translated that as "the embargo". Not sure what the rest of your comment means, since I didn't visit that part of the island, and I'm not that informed about the political situation on the ground in Cuba. I mentioned something I saw. I did find it surprising that the citizens were almost uniformly positive about their government. And yes, that is exactly the Michael Lucas I mentioned. I have seen him on multiple trips: Puerto Vallarta (twice), Rio, and now in Cuba. His is an interesting life. He "discovered" Alejandro Castillo (his stage name) in Puerto Vallarta, a beautiful and sweet boy who was basically kind of a buff drifter, but who is now a porn star and a PV nightlife staple. Alejandro Castillo as a porn star: And before becoming famous: That hugely thick dick meant that boy was destined to become famous for it, IMO. The icing is that he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

  30. Thanks for the detailed report! I am missing Cuba so much right now. There is a cheaper option to get to Micayito beach and that is a tourist bus that leaves every hour from Parque Central in Old town. I think it’s about five cucs. Just tell the driver that you want to go to Micayito and they will drop you off as close as they can get. It’s about a seven minute walk up the road to get to the entrance. And those sand dunes and bushes and abandoned building on the route? Great places for naughty fun with the beach boys. How I miss watching guys walk the beach in underwear (few seem to have swimming shorts) with semi hard cocks swinging around. Such a good time. Toke was my go to breakfast place. I rented an amazing apartment right at the corner of La Rampa and the malecon. Top floor with huge deck! But the last time I was there at Toke (2015) the police seemed to be ever present. In fact there were regular “sweeps” in the gay hangout areas on La Rampa which was a buzzkill. Did you experience that as well Torogen? I'm hoping that was a temporary thing.

  31. From Pattaya Mail Pattaya’s darkest hour has arrived A Pattaya BBQ vendor seems extremely dejected as she waits for customers to buy her sticks of grilled pork for 20 baht each. The small income sustains her family and business from day to day. Virtually locked down again due to the coronavirus spread and still battered by the loss of foreign tourism, Pattaya’s darkest days have arrived, with only dim light at the end of the tunnel in 2021. Long lines for free food handouts likely will return soon if the emergency order shutting down Banglamung District Wednesday lasts for more than a few weeks. Only essential businesses may remain open. Bars, clubs, massage parlors and shopping malls – the city’s economic lifeblood – all must close immediately and remain so indefinitely following an explosion of new Covid-19 cases linked to an illegal casino in Rayong. New Year’s Eve was supposed to be the crowning event in a three-month period in which domestic tourism had breathed some life into Pattaya’s tourism sector. Sure, high season was a pale shadow of 2019, but it was better than July-September. But the Pattaya Countdown was only the first of the events to be canceled as a second coronavirus wave swelled in Thailand. The momentum of the autumn built by the Bikini Run, Loy Krathong and fireworks festival in November, then the Pattaya Music Festival on Dec 11-12, was all for naught. Mayor Sonthaya Kunplome looked pained as he announced the cancellation of the three-day countdown, knowing it would have brought hundreds of millions of baht to the city. But he had no choice. Driving around Pattaya and its eastern “dark side” is a sad trip for those who have lived in the city for decades and now must witness “for sale” and “for rent” signs hanging from gates and windows. More street-level shops have chairs turned up on tables than chairs seating guests. At a noodle shop on Soi Nernplubwan, people talked of moving out of Pattaya to towns less dependent on tourism. Many go-go bar dancers already have moved back upcountry to work in local-style entertainment, like village karaoke pubs and as coyote dancers on the back of flatbed trucks in a rice field. Pattaya roads have become vacant. Workers who just moved back to town to find jobs at hotels, restaurants, pubs and other entertainment venues have given up and waved Pattaya goodbye, maybe for good. The Tourism Authority of Thailand put its full effort into promoting domestic tourism since the first lockdown ended June 30, but that work is now in vain. All the pie-in-the-sky ideas TAT teams in Bangkok dreamed up have vanished into thin air.
