  1. I agree with most of your post. I believe the best chance for a gay venue resurrection and attracting a major influx of gay farang depends on what the Thai government will do. If they will allow the bars to operate as they were doing 15 or 20 years ago, when it was mostly "anything goes" and many bars had convenient short time rooms available, then we'll all see the good times return once Thailand allows unencumbered tourism. The problem has been the prudish rules that ruined so much of it. I have never understood why. Who was being harmed? Most, if not all, the gay venues are located in areas where the general public is unlikely to go. Nobody can see inside the go-go bars unless they enter. The nonsense about the bars having to close around 1:00-2:00am doesn't help and doesn't make any sense. Is there anyone here who needs government officials to tell them what time to go to bed? And they only come up with absurd justifications. I'm not holding my breath for any serious changes. Maybe if all the gay venues get together and form some sort of lobbying program they might be able to pressure the government to relent on at least some of their rules, but if they do nothing, then I don't foresee anything changing. What is wrong with these people? Especially Pattaya - how many adults do they think go to Pattaya looking for nice, clean, G-rated, wholesome holidays? What on earth is wrong with letting adults be adults? What is so terrible about adults enjoying sex? Maybe the gay tourists don't amount to a major part of Thailand's tourism industry, but the whole thing needs to change. I have yet to meet any Thais who give a damn about how the gay venues operate, so who are all these rules protecting? I think none of these rules would have ever come into being in the first place if the powers-that-be refused to give in to outside pressure along with a few Thai prudes who managed to get powerful government positions. I wish the powers-that-be would just leave us alone, but as I said, I'm not holding my breath.

  2. I am Santo Dumont Airport right now waiting for my flight to São Paulo. Last night i went to Pointe202 as it is their biggest night and it filled up but i had a sore shoulder so i was going to get massage, there were 3 working and as luck would have it i got the very muscular 24 yr old who is built like the proverbial “brick shithouse”. he said the massage room was occupied for the next 30 minutes but if i didn’t want to wait we could go use one of the regular rooms! i said “let’s go”. he was a very good masseuse with just a hint of that he might be willing to play around! I was on my stomach and after finishing my legs he started the “whole body slide” on my back with his mouth coming very soon close to my ears and kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk neck until finally his lips were touching them! so i thought i would just go for it and turned my head and our lips met and again he didn’t miss a beat we made out for the next 10 minutes then i played with his 2 boulders!(ass, they were as least as hard as granite!! lol) then we blew each other and the hour was up! he is built like a NFL lineman! he was definitely not on my radar until last night!

  3. I have decided to try wring everyday then what i usually do and write just a couple of times about a trip and forget 1/2 the participants! (notice i said try!) this was written Friday morning i arrived today after a long flight from SNA to IAH to GRU to GIG! i think i am getting to old for this long ardourous flights it is much better to do a overnight in Miami if you are flying from the west coast! I got to the apartment in Ipanema then the ATM and was back by 3:00pm to welcome my first visitor! he is a very handsome bodybuilder that i have known for 9 years. He is planning on coming over every afternoon when he gets off of work He left about 5:30 and i headed over to Pointe202 sauna not expecting much since thursday is a weak night for all the saunas...and i was 1/2 right! i was the only client and there were 12 guys working! i thrive in that kind of environment! But the surprising thing was quality of the guys!!6 out of the 12 were good looking by almost anyones standards and 3,of the remaining ones like were very decent looking(s as bu as we would say “you wouldn’t kick them out of bed) usually the slow nights have guys that find it difficult with the better looking or better body types letting them have the slow nights! i ordered a drink and within 2 minutes had 5 guys around me with the rest of the guys sitting within or standing 10’ away! I met a really personable 22yr olld there was one guy in particular who had a amazing personality, great body, big dick so he said i am active so i said let’s find a passive! i saw a muscular guy i had been with about a year ago but he was also a top but he came up to me and said “i will be passive for you” so the three of us went up to a room, and had a great time! I had to get back to the apartment by 9:00 because i had a overnight guest coming then to go to dinner and then spend the night. He was right on time! We went to Rayz for dinner on Farme de Amoedo, which used to be the center of gay nightlife but now 7 of the 10 restaurants in that block are permanently closed and shades of NYC and Weho buildings are being torn down to make way for condos! next ...Friday

  4. I just arrived from my Brazil trip last week. I went to Rio and Sao Paulo. The beaches are open. Everybody wears masks. They take your temperature when you enter shops and malls. I think you will have fun. I went to Point 202 and 117 in Rio as well as Therma Lagoa in Sao Paulo. I think you will love Brazil

  6. Tul just updated on his social media that he is suffering from bell palsy and in need of rest. Wish him speedy recovery. He posted his pic trying to smile but half of his face is paralyzed with a caption "I'm seriously rocking it. Smile for a better day." Had a friend before that got this before and it is curable. Main suspect is stress.

  8. From the AP, the Thaiger and The Nation Protesters gather at Bangkok’s United Nations Pro-democracy demonstrators in Bangkok marked United Nations Human Rights Day on Thursday with rallies calling for the abolition of Thailand's strict royal defamation law, which was recently revived to prosecute more than 20 of the protest movement's leaders. Bangkok police have advised motorists to avoid routes around the United Nations building located on Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue in Phra Nakhon district on Thursday due to a planned political protest on Constitution Day. Somyot Prueksakasemsuk, one of the leaders, submitted a letter to the United Nations on Thursday urging it to pressure the Thai government to stop using Article 112 of the Thai Criminal Code, which forbids defamation of key members of the monarchy. Thursday's protests also coincided with Thailand's Constitution Day, a national holiday marking the country's adoption of its first constitution in 1932, which meant that many offices in the city were closed. The demonstrations drew significantly smaller crowds than other recent rallies, which have attracted tens of thousands of participants. Ahead of Thursday's protests, government security officials erected barricades using shipping containers and barbed wire, and police were deployed to prevent any possible move toward Chitralada Palace, the residence of King Maha Vajiralongkorn. By early afternoon the group that gathered outside the UN building had moved to join another one rallying beside a memorial to protesters killed by security forces in 1973. The royal defamation law had not been enforced for three years after King Maha Vajiralongkorn informed the government that he did not wish to see its use. But according to the group Thai Lawyers for Human Rights, 23 people have been charged under the law since Prayuth said last month that it would be among those used against demonstrators going forward. Many activists are now using the hashtag on social media #abolish112 to call for the end to the lèse majesté law which is Section 112 of Thailand’s Criminal Code. Those who break the law face 3 to 15 years in prison.

  10. I do share the same fears, but I try to stay optimistic, with change comes opportunity. we might return to a skeleton of what was once the best location in the world for our interests, but there will be demand and i'm sure lots of tourist money waiting to be spent. When those borders open and tourists can flock back in, there is going to be a mad rush, i predict hotels booked to capacity and prices going pretty high with that initial demand. I wasn't around when Soi Twilight went through it's shutdown, but i assume many of the same fears were around at that time.. some will close, some will move, and in this case some will hold on for dear life until the return of the market.

  12. Last night at 117 it started slow but by 6:15 if was busy! i ran into a guy i didn’t recognize but obviously knew me and the apartment cause he says “Hi Tom remember me?” i have no clue which surprised me because he was 6’2” lean toned build very handsome although he looked very young ! then it came back to me...last January he was Ricardo a guy i know well and ran into them in Ipanema, he had just started working in the sauna and was 19 at that time! He said “You said I was too young at the time but I now i am a year older and 20 years old! So i went up with him and a muscular 24 yr old from the previous night! Since 8:00 pm when we finished he has messaged me 6 times thanking me wanting to to know if i wanted to go to lunch today etc.! unfortunately this is my last day in Rio, i leave for SP tomorrow and my free time is all booked up! Last night at 8:30 my namorado showed up and we went to a Brazilian Churascria for dinner and it was excellent but i really don’t understand how any restaurant is staying open! there are no cars on the street there is no rush hour anymore, bars are 10% filled, it is really bad for all economies in the world but Brazil was in free fall before The Virus struck so they are in a deep hole! Several large hotels are closed permanently here is a video of R. Visconde Piraja in front of the metro station at 5:00pm last friday, the street should be packed with cars and buses at this time!
