A Walk Around Gay Bangkok - November 21, 2020
BiggusDikkus and 12 others reacted to TotallyOz for a topic
Walking around the gay Bangkok area is getting more fun. The boys that were the hosts at Hot Male Beer Bar took over a bar downstairs and now the view from that bar is excellent as the street traffic is fun to see. Much like the gay beer bars that use to dominate Soi Twilight, it seems many of those lady bars that so many worried about are beginning to close and gay ones are opening in their place. It was fun to see so many new boys at the beer bars. And, if like me, you like some tattoos, the beer bar nearest to Screwboys has some amazing looking manly men working. As I walked by, I had several offers of sexy lads offering to "take care of all of me." I wasn't sure if that meant they would take care of me that night or that I was so big they would take time to take care of each part of my body. In either case, it sounded good and I'll plan to revisit soon. Hot Male had very few boys on stage. When I went in, only three boys there so I left. Fresh Boys had about 20 guys on stage and like previous visit, mostly hot sexy twinks. Screwboys had about 10 guys but it only takes one and I liked one that went from Freshboys to Screwboys and Jupiter Boy and I took him home for a 3way. Jupiter Boy said he sucks dick better than any lady. I wasn't sure if my feelings should be hurt or agree with him so I just smiled with a twinkle in my eye that said, "don't fucking ruin this for me." I was told Friday night was much busier and tons of customers. I didn't see a lot of customers in the GoGo bars but did in the beer bars. It was also a rainy night and that always keeps the boys at home. The mamasan told me many Vietnam boys are back in town but working at the massage parlors as opposed to the bars. I asked why and she said police are now checking passports and if they are in the country legally. I did jump onto Hornet, Grindr and Jack'd and there were tons of boys on all the apps and I noticed a few Viet boys from the old Screwboys. I didn't have long in the area so I didn't message anyone as Jupiter Boy and I were happy with the boy we chose from Screwboys. Gay Bangkok is coming back to life. More boys and more beer bars. When this Covid things die down and all of you who haven't been able to visit LOS come back, you are going to be happy with the changes. I know the boys are all waiting patiently for you! In the meantime, I'll try to do my best to entertain two or three each week. And, as you can see, Jupiter Boy and I are still going strong. He doesn't want me to play without him but is quiet happy to play with him which works well for me as well.13 points -

The adventure is starting with no issues so far. Traveling was uneventful, I guess thanks to the reduced air traffic. Despite social distancing and a boarding process that slows down things, we suffered no delays in our flights. It was interesting to see airports like DCA and Houston Semi deserted. Airlines have a reduced number of flights, so passengers show up on time for boarding, but very few people is there out of that time. Many shops are closed. In Houston, which is a huge domestic and international hub, I would say I saw 25% of the people that I had seen one year ago. You can also notice differences in the way local authorities are handling the pandemic. DCA chairs throughout all the airport are signaled with social distancing warnings, and you are not allowed to sit next to someone else. Not in Houston. Masks use was mandatory and universally respected in both places. Although airports were empty, my flights were full. I had received many emails from UA the last three days warning me about my flight from DC to Houston, and offering me a reschedule with no charge. However, I was lucky and even when the flight was almost full, I did not have anyone seated next to me. For my longer flight from Houston to Rio I was not so lucky. I did have an annoying passenger, so I opted for the earphones to ignore him, and tried to sleep as much as I could. Getting an Uber in the airport was super easy, traffic is also reduced in Brazil. As this time I am statying in a place further than usual, the bill was almost 90 Rials. My Airbnb is nice and comfortable, although the rooms are a bit too small. But we have a nice terrace where I am now having breakfast and writing while Will is still sleeping. I was still unpacking when Diego called me to join me before noon. We chatted and played, and played and chat for many hours, as we had plenty to catch up. We had a break to fill the fridge and other essentials, and I found out the only con of my location. We. Do not have a nearby good supermarket and the number of shops is extremely poor compared to my previous locations in Copacabana. However, the surroundings are beautiful, open, with a lot of wild nature, and no crowds. Pandemic perfect. It was very nice re encountering Diego. Our sex is not what I consider good sex, but it is very sweet and hot. We are more friends who fall into oral play than lovers. Late at night Will Prado joined us. We all were very tired, so we did not have full sex, but a lot of chatting. I am planning to get them to perform in front of the camera and wanted them to get acquainted and comfortable with each other. Once Diego left to join his girlfriend, almost at midnight, Will and I had a full hot session. Both of us were exhausted (I had slept very little and very uncomfortably during my trip, he had been filming porn the whole day), so it was short, intense, and straight to the point. He is beautiful and did not disappoint. My plan is one more day of relaxing and doing nothing, probably just crossing the street to go to the beach. We will start working on pictures and video this Monday. We will probably have other guys joining us, but I do not know yet who. Rhyheim Shabazz is also here, he is flying in a bunch of American performers to join his Brazilian crew, and I am invited, so I expect to have my first porn backstage experience. And Will is getting up, so I am stopping here for now.4 points -

Hi guys! I’m so happy to join this forum and I would like to report you about the hot spots in Milan, my city! There are two nice bars that offer very hot shows, one it’s called G- Street and it’s located near the railway Central station, the other one is called “Inferus club” and it’s in the center of the city in a basement. Both clubs are private so you need a membership card that you can make inside paying 10 ore 25 €. They host full naked Strip shows and sometimes it’s possible to interact with the strippers, mostly Italians from the hinterland.3 points -

Hi Devin. Glad to hear someone else promote Milan. Milan isn't mentioned as much as other cities, but I've been here many times before and really enjoy these bars next to the train station. Including "After Line". Some of the strippers I've seen at that bar have been really hot (one of them I follow on Instagram - but I don't think he strips anymore ).2 points

I talked last night to a mamasan who used to work in Lucky 7 and other bars in Pattaya. She has not been there in many many years and asked how it was going. She remember me when I would come to her bar and said I always had a gaggle with me and the gay boys would also light up in hopes of getting to go with these sexy lads. She said, I know your type and she did. She picked out a boy for me this week and was right on the money. She asked about Pattaya and I told her about this thread and others talking about Jomtien Complex and she said she would be visiting again just to see all the changes. She was happy to hear that so many new places are opening up.2 points

Moonlight observation - I've been looking at the nightly videos introducing the "stars"...no much change over the past weeks with the lineup. Five to seven in the intro from Nicky to babe. However there seem to be more customers. Two weeks ago, and also last week no one was sitting in the first row in front of the stage. Saturday night's show had customers there and more customers in the seating area adjacent to where the shower was. Hope this is an omen that business is strong...given its a four day holiday, I can't be sure.2 points

In 10’ arrives Diego, tonight is Will Prado’s arrival.2 points -

It is absolute LUNACY that one man has captivated, and is being allowed to hold an entire country, over 300 million TAX paying people HOSTAGE... Any many of these people are being allowed to DIE because the Covid crisis is being stonewalled by Trump and his administration. Our government should not allow this. Trump is not even a politician. He's a criminal and con man. How can this be happening ? This scumbag needs to be dragged away in handcuffs kicking and screaming "but I WON" !!!!!! It does not seem we are living in Democratic America... it seems more like Communist Russia.1 point

When will Thailand open to Tourists- question/speculation?
williewillie reacted to TotallyOz for a topic
I do believe that will happen soon. And, if so, I'll bet Thailand opens up non-restricted travel to all. BUT.... Having visited Central World this week and saw graffiti on the streets that was vulgar and aimed at the monarchy, I could easily see Thailand holding off on things until everything here gets a bit more quiet.1 point -
From Chiang Rai Times / The Thaiger 60 day Tourist Visa stiff income requirement being wound back The hefty income requirement for Thailand’s Tourist Visas look like they’re being wound back following online backlash and low uptake. Previously, travellers were excited to learn they could visit a “Covid-free” Thailand, but their moods dipped after learning of the steep financial proof they needed in order to be granted under the revised Tourist Visa provisions. Now, some embassies and consulates worldwide have have dropped the stipulation on their websites that had once listed a 500,000 baht bank account balance as a requirement for obtaining the visas. Such consulates as Los Angeles now list the requirements as being US$ 700 per person and US$ 1,500. The London and Berlin embassies show no requirement on the websites which has signaled the news of a reversal. Such a change is expected to see more applicants for the visa, with Thailand set to see more tourists over the next few months, just in time for high season. The income requirements are not uniform at this stage with different embassies listing different requirements around the world. However, despite the perceived reversal of the bank account required balance, tourists must still obtain a US$100,000 Covid travel insurance policy, a Certificate of Entry, and a confirmed booking at one of Thailand’s quarantine hotels. Furthermore, such a stay at an approved hotel can average 40,000 baht. There are plenty more expensive, and a few as low as 25,000 baht. In response, Thailand has been considering reducing the 14 day quarantine requirement to 10 days, citing that most Covid cases are detected within the first 5 days. That proposals will be discussed, again, this Wednesday.1 point

Vietnam economy is Asia's shining
splinter1949 reacted to reader for a topic
From MSN / BBC Vietnam has minimised the economic damage from Covid-19 and is the only country in South East Asia on track for growth this year. Its economy is expected to grow 2.4% this year, according to latest figures from the International Monetary Fund. The IMF credited “decisive steps to contain the health and economic fallout from COVID-19” for the country’s success. Vietnam has had only 1,288 Covid-19 cases and 35 deaths. The IMF is predicting a strong economic recovery in 2021, with growth projected to strengthen to 6.5% “as normalisation of domestic and foreign economic activity continues.” Although Vietnam lacks the health infrastructure of many wealthier countries, it has been widely praised for its public health measures, which quickly brought numbers under control. It was quick to develop testing kits, and used a combination of strategic testing, aggressive contact tracing to help control numbers. The country has seen slower growth this year and its once-thriving tourism sector has taken a particularly bad hit, but it has avoided the worst economic effects of the pandemic. A number of factors have cushioned the blow, according to Michael Kokalari, chief economist for Vinacapital, a Vietnam-focused investment company. Perhaps the most unexpected windfall has come from the huge increase in the number of people working from home globally. “People have bought a new laptop computer or they’ve bought new office furniture, for both working and spending more time at home. Well, a lot of those products are made in Vietnam,” he told the BBC. Vietnam’s exports to the US have increased by 23% in the first three quarters compared to the same period in 2019, with electronics exports up 26%. Vietnam’s manufacturing sector has grown enormously over the past decade because businesses have started to look elsewhere as labour costs in China increased. The ongoing US-China trade war has also made China a less attractive place to manufacture, with a number of tariffs in place on exports. Many multinationals have started operating in Vietnam, including global technology leaders like Apple and Samsung.1 point -
When will Thailand open to Tourists- question/speculation?

From The Thaiger Rejoice Thailand. 681 tourists will arrive in November! Rejoice, roll out the red carpet and sound the bells. Here they come! Thailand is about to be flooded with 681 tourists who have applied for, and received, the Special Tourist Visa. Ok, we’ll admit that’s the number is a bit down on last year’s monthly 3.3 million tourist arrivals (average). But, twisting the numbers like only the Tourist Authority of Thailand can, that’s more than DOUBLE last months’ total tourist intake. The perpetually optimistic governor of the TAT announced the 681 tourists will be visiting Thailand during this month under the much-discussed Special Tourist Visa (STV) program. 263 of those ‘special’ tourists had already completed the 14 day mandatory quarantine, 134 were currently in quarantine and 284 would arrive before the end of November. The TAT governor says that the TAT, Thai Airways and hotels associations had been working on what he called the “Amazing Thailand Plus Special Package”. This was a one-stop-shop service to make it easier for the tourists to get their air tickets, apply for their visa, find out about where to quarantine and book trips around the country once they finish their quarantine period. Thailand would have normally be welcoming around 3.5 million tourists during November (according to 2019 data) but this year’s ‘disruption’, and the Thai government’s response to it, has all but closed down Thailand’s international tourism industry. ================================================= From The Thaiger Coming to Thailand? Check your insurance and ASQ fine print A concerned reader sent us this information, based on his experiences in the ASQ when he arrived in Thailand. We publish them with good faith but would urge everyone to check their insurance situation, whether they’re currently in ASQ or might be in the near future, to check your individual circumstances. The comments made about the ‘system’ are those of the writer… “Under current Thai ASQ rules, anyone who fails the RT-PCR test in quarantine is sent to hospital, even if they have no symptoms. The ASQ quarantine fee (paid in advance to the hotel) does not cover the hospital costs. So insurance is required. 1. I checked with AXA Thailand, as they offer an insurance policy for US$100,000 to meet the Covid-19 insurance laws. They told me this does NOT cover hospitalisation without symptoms, even after failing the covid-19 tests that are required in quarantine. I believe the odds of anyone who fails the test in quarantine having no symptoms are at least 50% and in this case their insurance will be invalid. The policy is not fit for purpose! 2. Most UK insurers offer travel insurance cover for “Emergency Medical Care”. As being sent to hospital merely for failing a test is not an emergency, then they do not cover being sent to hospital from ASQ. 3. Some UK insurers invalidate all of the medical cover, as any visitor to Thailand is “awaiting tests for an undiagnosed condition”, because they require RT-PCR tests.” The bottomline on all this is ask questions, check your insurance coverage and get everything in writing.1 point -
From The Nation Solution fired at protesters contained 4 types of tear gas A sample of the solution police fired at pro-democracy protesters on Tuesday has tested positive for four different chemicals which burn the eyes and skin. Riot police fired the solution from water cannons at Kiak Kai Intersection, during a confrontation with protesters who were seeking to rally outside Parliament on the first day of charter-change deliberations. Protesters and journalists hit by the solution suffered stinging eyes and skin, as well as breathing problems. Many needed hospital treatment. On Friday, Weerachai Phutdhawong, a Kasetsart University chemistry professor, announced results of his analysis of a sample of the solution used on Tuesday. The results showed five chemicals, as well as a dye that turned the solution purple. The five substances were dimethyl sulfoxide, 2-Chlorobenzaldehyde, 2-Chlorobenzyl alcohol, 2-chlorobenzalmalononitrile, and o-Chlorobenzylmalononitrile. The first in the list was a solvent for the chemical mixture, said Weerachai. The other four all belong to the tear gas group of chemicals, he said. ====================================================== From Bangkok Post 'Bad Students' gather at Siam BTS Protesters wearing dinosaur costumes try to flee from an approaching inflatable asteroid at the Bad Student rally at the Siam BTS station on Saturday. (Photo: Wichan Charoenkiatpakul) Young “Bad Student” activists gathered on Saturday beneath the Siam BTS skytrain station, a day after it was revealed that two of their teenaged leaders were facing charges for taking part in protests. The demonstrators sheltered under the skytrain platform in front of the Siam Paragon shopping centre after rain forced them to change the rally venue from the nearby Ratchaprasong intersection. Police confirmed that organisers of the rally had informed them about their activity, which was given permission to go ahead. It was expected to end around 9pm. “#Bye bye dinosaurs” was the theme of the event that was publicised on the Bad Student Facebook page. “If parliament cast in the role of ‘dinosaur’ rejects and refuses changes, students like us will be the meteorite that collides with the backwardness of senior figures in society,” another message read. “As our calls for educational reforms are being ignored, see us at the Ratchaprasong intersection on Nov 21. Students will talk about all the things the dinosaurs don’t want to hear!” In keeping with the theme, participants dressed in dinosaur costumes were being pelted by inflatable meteorites launched at them from the crowd.1 point

So far I have seen only one Filipino BL series, "Sakristan". Promising start but then I was rather disappointed. But now I started watching (first 3 episodes) Gaya Sa Pelikula ("Like in the Movies", 2020) Charming series, two great and cute actors in the main role. Funny story, very prominsing! What sometimes bothers me with many Thai BL series is that the characters seem so restraint, not really alive. Like Tin in Love By Chance, but also Bright/Win, they don't really show much too emotions ... but then watch Gaya Sa Pelikula and your heart will be warmed No need to watch a trailer, just go directly to episode one! There are only 8 episodes, and they are rather short 20-30 min. It's funny that they speak 1/3 english with each other!1 point

Well the island is small but at night there’s some police around so if you want to have a drink and have fun it’s better to not drive. So the best way is finding an accommodation near Mykonos town. The most beautiful (and expensive) hotels are Belvedere and Cavo Tagoo. Elysium is a nice location too. if you travel with friends or you prefer to use taxi at night you could consider to book a private villa out of the town, some are stunning1 point -
