The BBC airs a comedy show where nothing is off limits. This one made me laugh out loud. I hope you all out there are not offended. It turns popular prejudices inside out.3 points -

Did I miss something here? Of course masks protect the wearer. Wearing a mask results in much less chance of the wearer getting the virus from an infected person to their nose and mouth, the degree of protection depending to a large extent on the type of mask. Masks protect both parties. I thought this is self evident.2 points

Franklin Roosevelt enacted The New Deal which included social security. He was re-elected in a landslide in 1936. I suspect he doing many things right long before the Second World War. Also the economy prosperity during the Eisenhower Administration had nothing to do with wars.1 point

II have mentioned before another student sophomore year in college was reading 'Another Country' because he was constantly propositioned, even with his parents, on vacation in Maine. He wasn't gay, but wanted to know what he was up against. To be fair, he had been a male models. I believe this was in the Fall of 1962 when conversations like this were a bit unusual. He lived with his parents in Brookline, Massachusetts.1 point

I went again last night with three farang friends. We all ordered the hamburgers which come with cheese and onions. I totally enjoyed mine and relished every bite. One friend said it was okay but he preferred Arnoâs, another said very good and one didnât like it at all. These guys also gave Arnos hamburgers mixed reviews, while I thought they were excellent.. One commented that the burgers were loose, not well compacted. I solved this with utensils.1 point -
An early 2019 article in GQ also looked back at Baldwin for perspective. Baldwin saw the handwriting on the wall and moved to France, as did the main character in Giovanni's Room, Baldwin's novel of an American's despair. I love the article's images of Baldwin's style.1 point

certainly social distancing at it's best judging by the pictures1 point -
Back to the thread topic of gay nightlife: I was at Soi 2 / DJ Station last night. Not wall-to-wall packed as it would be on a pre-Covid Saturday, but still very busy. Only the second floor was pretty empty, but ground floor very busy. Inside DJ Station from time to time they made an announcement over the PA asking people to put on their masks and to observe social distancing. The latter wasn't happening at all (impossible anyway), masks were up and down frequently, but on most people down most of the time (everyone had their drinks to take care of). Might as well leave the masks off entirely.1 point

It is good that Trump didn't sell the island! Did you read that in the news? Yes, he thought about it. I had great times in PR. Love them! Everyone in NYC thought I was PR. They said, you are what you eat.1 point

I've been here since its inception, and I have been at the now "Message-Forum," daddy's site, for more than three decades. The other day I posted about my second dining inside experience at one of my favorite restaurants in Monterey, CA and solicited short adventures of the like from others. Well, one writer posted about his jury duty experience. In huge red letters, I wrote that he'd hijacked my thread. Well, lo and behold, a few of the so-called loyals attacked me for having written that acknowledgment; they acted as if I'd violated the rights of the hijacker; they acted (from their words) as if the guy was "God's gift to humanity." My words were obvious, for I have been a positive person at that site as well as this one who has refrained from a senseless tit-for-tat in disagreeing as well as attacking any of the writers. My actions spoke for themselves. A day later there was a flood of off-topics affixed to my commenting about the guy's being off topic or having hijacked my post. I fired back: "KEEP ENJOYING YOURSELVES" or some such wording. The guy who'd hijacked had apologized three or four posts up from the aforementioned; then today I saw that he'd written that I'd hijacked my own post. Currently, I am all right and have concluded that there are some really bizarre males who post and read and interact over there, and I WILL NOT have any part in it. I don't need them in any way, and I really don't need that site as an outlet but will find it somewhat strange if I were to leave and forget it all together since I've been there for such a long time. For the most part, I have enjoyed reading and writing and posting in the various forums. ...have met about five to ten guys over the years (in person) when I've traveled to Brazil. ...even met my gay Brazilian (now deceased) travel agent and a couple of legitimate gay travel guides as well. Have enjoyed meeting a few guys in parts of Europe and the guidance that I have received as well prior to my travel adventures. So, in the future, I'll continue to read and view and post and ignore any bizarre actions/comments on the part of some of the posters at "Message Forum," "at the other site."1 point

Im not sure why UK and US needs the gov to make wearing mask mandatory. Here in Malaysia, mask is not mandatory at all but the gov does always recommended it. In one press conference, a reporter did asked our Health director about this and he insist that it will not be made compulsory. Even so, most people wear masks when they are in public or crowded places, during the peak of the infection but nowadays, with local transmission in the single digit mainly in KL area, and zero cases in many area, mask wearing has gone down. One guy gave a theory of how asian were raised by our parent to be obedient to authority and the elderly is one of the reason we heed advice from gov and there is no need to make it compulsory. A friend of mine also said if you dont wear mask when most people do, people will give you the look and stare at you as if you have commited a grave sin lol.1 point -

TO THE FRIENDS AT DADDY'S
Lucky reacted to SexyAsianStud for a topic
having said that.... i found a post in which Bozo called for law and order using the exact language of the Nazis, so I find little credible in any of his claims on any subject at all. but, clearly, as has been said here ad nauseum, Bozo and His Ilk find a place of great comfort on the DreadedPatheticDaddy site, so it is nice to know that our community had a place for all strands of thought, no matter how abhorrent they may be to right thinking people. (and, yes, I know I am bringing up old stuff here but, remember, I got banned for showing off my butt while Bozo and his Kapos happily spewed hate speech. just saying.)1 point -

From The Thaiger Myanmar puts a hold on international flights until at least October According to Myanmarâs National Tourism Development Central Committee vice-president, Myanmarâs airports are unlikely to re-open to international commercial flights until at least October this year. There is no guarantee, however, that even if the country opens its skies to international flights, there will be any takers other than airlines offering repatriation flights. Border closures around the world have grounded entire fleets of planes and put smaller airlines in financial peril. Domestic flights are currently operating, as in Thailand, but are restricted to Burmese citizens and foreign residents registered to stay and work in the country. Since the end of March, foreign tourists have been stranded in the country waiting for repatriation flights home. Hundreds of Burmese are also waiting overseas for an opportunity to return home with scant flights returning to Myanmar. Myanmar âs government said that when it reopens commercial flights, it will be restricted to routes serving neighboring cities in the ASEAN region and perhaps later, countries across Asia. Initially, officials hoped that âtravel bubblesâ or corridors could be established with Thailand and Vietnam to resume direct flights with passengers who would be exempt from the 14 day quarantine rules, but that is now unlikely to happen. Thailandâs âtravel bubbleâ scheme is also âon holdâ as the Government continue to assess the risks whilst repatriating its own citizens â many testing positive after their arrival in Thailand. Second and third wave infections have occurred in countries such as Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan , and Australia, making it almost impossible to establish a partnership with low-risk countries. Only freight, medical evacuation and special flights are approved by the Department of Civil Aviation in Myanmar at this stage. But the Government of Myanmar is operating a few repatriation flights, bringing Myanmar citizens back from Thailand, Singapore , India and Korea. Myanmar has reported 321 confirmed cases of Covid-19, 250 of which have reportedly recovered. Hardly any serious testing is taking place.0 points
