  1. Couldn't agree more, OZ. I've never felt that Black Lives Matter means that white lives don't matter. What it's always meant to me is that black lives seem not to have mattered in the past and now it's time that they do. As far as I can tell, those who hear Black Lives Matter and then parrot All Lives Matter or White Lives Matter are folks with a zero-sum viewpoint. They think that, if a black life matters more, then a white life must matter less. Personally, I don't believe that's true, nor have I ever been a fan of zero-sum thinking. Like our President, I enjoy making deals but, unlike our President, I don't enjoy zero-sum deals where, in order for me to win, the other person has to lose. Maybe that's what his life experiences have taught him but it's sure not what my life experiences have taught me. I've found that, if I've got a deal where the other person is a loser, there's still more work to do. A deal where there's a loser is unstable. The "loser" is going to be unhappy and will be looking for a do-over at best and revenge at worst. Much better for both parties to end up with a smile on their face. For me, it's always been a matter of increasing the size of the pie so that both parties get a bigger slice. It may take a little more work, but it's well worth the effort. Even if it takes a lot more work, it's well worth the effort. Who wants to be surrounded by disgruntled colleagues? And even if I come out of a deal with a little bit less than I otherwise might, it's worth it to have partners who are content and who will look forward to doing another deal in the future. My white self has certainly got enough privilege throughout my life that I can afford to get by with a little less in the future so that my black partner can get a better deal than he has in the past. The payoff of mutual support, stability and, inshallah, friendship is well worth any conceivable shift in the balance. More than dislike of those who believe that a zero-sum deal is the only kind there is, I'm saddened that their life experiences have given them a win-lose mindset. My hope is that life will be kinder to them in the future. And that they will be kinder and more generous to others.

  3. There is no 'Antifa' central committee, let alone any tight organization invading your town. There is no organization called 'Antifa'--no headquarters, no office, no leaders, no membership lists. It's simply a tactic used ad hoc and run up on social media to see who salutes and rallies for an action. But these internet memes are being micro-targeted to small towns for spreading irrational fears, a fingerprint of a more sophisticated cyberwar campaign. Don't be played for a sucker.

  4. It's an interesting hypothesis, but I have to say, I don't know one person who enjoys hiring escorts for that reason, and I'm not aware of ever meeting one. Of course, you never really know someone until the door is closed and we strip naked together. I admit my perspective on this is limited, and very biased to NYC. Here, lots of gay men aren't looking for fake love of needy boyfriends. Hiring an escort is like hiring a massage therapist: your body gets a fun workout as well as your cock and ass. What's not to love?

  5. There is more going on here than Daddy saying All Lives Matter. You guys seem to have years of built up contempt for the things that happened when you posted on his site. Naturally I think timeouts are not deserved for pointing out someone else's attacks. I also had my share of timeouts. But am I going to carry that with me going forward? How long? When we see people trying to bring others together to understand that Black Lives Matter, it seems we need to bring ourselves together as well. Rock Hard accurately points out that some pretty bitter exchanges occurred in earlier days. But either you devote yourself to this site going forward, or you try to reconcile past grievances with the other site. Options beyond that? I am all ears.

  6. So there are two areas of complaint here? I know you will let me know if I am wrong... 1) Daddy posted that all lives matter. That's an opinion, one most of us find to be uneducated. He does not seem to appreciate that black lives matter less in many contexts. because of racism and police oppression. One wonders where he has been. Were there no blacks in Seattle; Vegas? If anything, the widespread, world-wide protests should have sparked some curiosity in him as to why we say Black Lives Matter. Does having this opinion make him a bad person? By itself, I don't think so. When I hear All Lives Matter, I hear someone crying out to be educated. Hopefully they want justice for all lives, and it's black lives that are suffering in the precincts of justice, and have been for decades. 2) Our white privilege has seen protests before. We might make some noise about justice, but for the most part whites have been content to let life settle back into its old norms once the protest ends. The challenge now is to prevent that. Many of us need to be educated on white privilege, or helped to see it in our lives. For my thinking, this movement is the strongest one I have seen in my life. There is a real chance for change. It's world-wide. It may be younger people who move it forward, but we all have to make some effort. We can write people in power to keep the movement going, not to let down. We can remain vocal, and we can try to identify how we indulge our privilege. We must learn to share privilege with everyone. IMHO, Daddy just needs some educating. Calling him names or mocking his looks detracts from any sincere effort to move him forward on this topic. I assume that he doesn't want to be guided by old-fashioned views. He needs to show a willingness to open his mind and listen. But then, don't we all?

  7. i think you're kinder to that way of thinking than I am lookin. Because the fact is that if Black Lives Matter, then whites do lose. They lose the privilege that racism gives them. If all you care about is yourself, then losing your ability to shit on other people matters a lot to you. You may just be an idiot with zero empathy, but that's pretty much the best you can be. But as you and Rockhard both point out, when the other side loses continuously, eventually there will be an accounting.

  8. Beautiful post, lookin. So nice to read words of wisdom from you once again. Again, in fairness, in Trump's "Art of the Deal," Trump does say that "both parties in a deal need to win" in order for the deal to be successful. Yes, I read that book, and one can't discount the contributions of Tony Schwartz, who is probably responsible for almost every word in that book. No matter who wrote it, you learn this logic if you attend business school. The thinking is really quite simple, logical, and practical. No one wants to come out from a negotiation feeling like a loser. Both parties (like you said, with a smile) are much better off if each feels a win.

  9. Not officially but it's in the Schengen open borders area. 420 million people. Crazy about the Madrid and Barcelona rules. We didn't hear about how strict much of Europe's lockdown was.

  11. I totally agree with you - there is definitely a weird enactment of a bizarre power dynamic happening over there - And it's a special space where one can be totally objectionable and hateful and have zero reprecussions as long as you bow and scrape to the Regime in power One forum member pointed out to me that the attacks on me intensified and became wayyyy more personal once I posted pictures of myself and revealed myself to be a fit young Asian guy.... And you are right about choosing not to participate - at first I thought that airing and supporting my beliefs served a purpose there - but then I realized that discussion there really is not about principle, it is about staking about one's turf - like a dog with a bone. A place that puts power (no matter how illusory) in the hands of a nasty bigot is a dangerous place to be.

  12. My personal hypothesis is that board always had a sizeable faction that hired not because they liked to have sex with hot guys but because they liked the feeling of power they got. They get off on feeling better than the men they hire. They like looking down on them, and calling them names. Their own fragile sense of self-worth I would imagine would be steadied by imagining (incorrectly) escorts were more loathsome than themselves. If those assholes can abuse an escort for free on an anonymous board, they'll do that. I choose not to participate. The internet is an ocean of assholes. You will go mad arguing with them if you try.

  15. The answer is much more complicated. I think I mentioned before that I have a home in Spain but I am in lockdown, tho I’m uptodate with the confinement measures. Residents of Barcelona are not allowed to go beyond the city limits currently. This also applies to residents of Madrid, as the two cities were hotspots for infection in Spain. As of last night, Spain’s borders will not reopen until July 1. The 14 day quarantine measure for arrivals will cease on that date. I understood that Switzerland will reopen its borders on June 15. I’m not clear on whether foreign nationals will have to show their (residence or work) permit to enter. Entry is only allowed through the airports of Geneva and Zurich mainly, and some flights into Basel.

  16. First, as Latbear points out, having a police scanner is perfectly legal. Second, you don't need to hold it up to the police fucking radio, it works all over the city! Third, look at the video, it's HIS FUCKING CELL PHONE, clearly visible in his hand. Fourth:

  17. When I hear someone say, "All lives matter," I know at once that they are an idiot or a racist, or possibly both. In daddy's case, I think it's probably both.

  20. So some will not find reconciliation with what happened. I don't really expect everyone to as some really arbitrary things did happen. Just last week Latbear4blk got a timeout for reasons which escape me. (But then, he plans to return to posting there.) So I guess for those of you are not moving on, we should have a Daddy Box like the Sand Box where people can complain ad infinitum about Daddy...or even daddy!

  23. Call it political posturing. Call it opportunism. Call it a photo-op. I don't give a shit what anyone calls it. I call it brilliant. Joe Biden has secured this gift now. He has the opportunity to show real leadership. Real heart. Real sorrow. Real compassion. Real courage. And this is one public relations effort that will make Donald Trump look VERY small. And there's not a damn thing Donald Trump can do about it. Sometimes I love politics. Biden to Meet With George Floyd’s Family in Houston Ahead of Funeral

  24. I am OK with that. I read the post in question. It is obvious to anyone that reads it what the owner of that site stands for. If they choose to support that, well, that is on them. It is kinda like electing Trump. We knew what we were getting when he took office. A racist does not change over time and IMHO, anyone who posts that the Black Lives Matter movement is irrelevant when so many others struggle, are missing the entire point. Lets say that Oz, Buddy, Liam, Rockhard, LatBear and Caeron all went to dinner. The dinner comes and everyone gets food except for Buddy. Buddy says, "Where is my food? I'm hungry." Rockhard says, I'm hungry too. Oz, says me too. But, Rockhard and Oz have food and are starting to eat their lobster. Buddy still has no food. The meal ends. Buddy is still hungry. But, everyone else is full. Does it matter that Buddy is still hungry since no one else is?
