"Trump is Falsely Masculine"
JKane and one other reacted to RockHardNYC for a topic
Can we talk about the nerve of that stupid poser cunt, dressed to the nines playing the supposed role of White House Press Secretary? "White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday compared President Trump’s photo opportunity in front of St. John’s Episcopal Church to former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s examination of World War II bombing damage in 1941." McEnany compares Trump's Photo-Op to Churchill Somebody should tell this incompetent idiot that when you have to explain your stunt to the American people, it means you fucked up your messaging. As far as I can see, no one handled this fiasco better than Anderson Cooper. With the perfect dose of gay glibness, Anderson puts Kayleigh right where she belongs: UNEMPLOYED. Don't miss this video: And finally, can someone tell me what tax payers are paying to dress and beautify this bitch for the cameras? I can promise you this: She did not get out of bed looking like that, and she did not do the beauty work herself. Whatever we're paying, it needs to end now!2 points -

Obama to Speak Today at 5 PM.
Latbear4blk and one other reacted to RockHardNYC for a topic
If you don't have A.D.D., the conversation was interesting and necessary. Another step forward, however small. IMO, it's always interesting to listen to intelligent people of color discuss the very sensitive subject of racism in America. Obama kept it professorial. Eric Holder is professionally similar. You either like that approach or you don't. It helps if you're educated and patient. Sometimes, I wish Obama would get a little more angry. On the other hand, I admire his steady, mannered, think-before-you-speak ways. In the end, he's perfectly suited for the high road, and it's a very positive outlook for the community. I could be wrong, but I think Trump's name was never mentioned. And it seems to me that took a ton of discipline and was probably pre-discussed. I wanted to see a political fight, but truthfully speaking, this conversation was not the time for that. Anti-Trump politics was not the goal.2 points -

@JKane The video is superb, but it's way too long. Unfortunately, Republican voters, the people who should be forced to watch it, have the attention span of a gnat.2 points -

Buddy2 reacted to RockHardNYC for a topic
Perhaps to others, but you did not alert me privately. I'm not arrogant enough to assume that Daddy is a racist. I have no idea what lies in that man's heart other than bad cholesterol. IMO, lacking support of the term "Black Live Matter" does not qualify you as a racist, it simply shows ignorance. Are you calling me a pig? LOL.1 point -

I forget the brands (Mission, Artic Cool are 2) but there are cheap neck gaiters made of the cooling material you just wet and it turns cool. Also the 50-packs of blue surgical masks are plentiful and very cheap now and I find those are the ones I don't even notice having on. Both are about $15. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Mission-Blue-Polyester-Hydro-Active-Unisex-Multi-Cooling-Full-Neck-Gaiter-108007/312462137 My block had the famous "Battle of Swann Street" Sunday. (Just search Twitter for Swann Street...or Swan). 100 bike police outide my house. Tear gas, an attack helicoper big as the block hovering over the rooftops, and we just all took the kids in and the block ordered endless pizzas. Those huge military helicopers hovering so low are very dangerous. This was the view out my back door. 100 police bikes in row of 4 25 deep. At least the bikes help wear off the donuts.1 point -

FINALLY, a breakthrough of sorts. Former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, a retired four-star Marine Corps general, highly respected leader of the armed forces, has stepped forward to publicly denounce Trump. I hope it's not a case of too little, too late. My gut is telling me this will impact on-the-fence Republican voters. Mattis Accuses Trump of Dividing the Nation in a Time of Crisis. He (Trump) “does not even pretend to try” to unite Americans. James Mattis Denounces President Trump, Describes Him as a Threat to the Constitution "In an extraordinary condemnation, the former defense secretary backs protesters and says the president is trying to turn Americans against one another." Extraordinary is an understatement. No former Defense Secretary in modern times has ever publicly denounced the Commander in Chief, his former boss. General Mattis has the power to make Donald Trump feel really small and insignificant, which is Trump's greatest fear.1 point -

I totally enjoyed walking with the protesters yesterday. I also learned that these many weeks of lockdown have deeply affected my physical condition. Damn, I ended exhausted after 4 hours walking under the sun. What I saw was a 100% peaceful protest, with very diverse protesters. I saw very few organized groups, 80/90% of the demonstrators were small groups of friends like mine. I saw a few groups of ANTIFA. Mostly White teenagers dressed all Black and with flags clearly identifying them. They did not use the protest for any alien political agenda and peacefully participated with the rest of the crowd. There were only two moments when I saw something that may could have develop in violent crashes. In both cases, unmarked police cars would drive cutting into groups of people and causing aggressive reactions. In both cases, everyone would raise their arms and yell "No Shoot" or "Peace". Most of signs and speeches were focus first on George Floyd, and secondly in all other minority victims of police violence. In on of the demonstrations near the White House, the speaker would name the murdered victims and we all would repeat their names. The names were Black and Latino victims. When we were in the Capitol, at the very beginning of our walk, we chose to hang up with a group of demonstrators identified under the name Freedom Fighters. This was a peaceful and organized multi ethnic group, handling free water to by passers, and collecting the trash to leave the park clean after moving to the White House. When we were there, Nancy Pelosi came out from a black SUV, wearing a mask, surround by about 5 security guards with no uniforms or visible guns or communication devices. She was escorted by a TV crowd, with a reporter asking her questions. They walked a couple of circles amidst the demonstrators, with the people yelling at her with political demands (no to privatizing jails, police and judiciary reform, etc) that she ignored. Needless to say, much innocent than Trump's photo op in the church, but another photo op. We walked from Florida and NY, where I parked my car, to the Capitol, and then the White House. During all this itinerary we were continuously approached by people in biked handling cold water for free. Most of the people were wearing masks. I guess that was the one point where the event was not so diverse. The overwhelming majority of the protesters were younger than 30. I am sure the age difference (besides the fact that Racists are overrepresented in the group of dying dinosaurs) was related to COVID19. I was very concerned about it, as I wear some of the risk pre existing condition for the illness. Wearing the mask was terrible uncomfortable. It was hot and sunny, and that piece of thick fabric holding my warm breath was very challenging. I need a summer mask, I will probably use a bandana the next time. I also did my best to keep physical distancing. I would have loved mingling with the crowd in the most populated spots, but I resisted the temptation and stayed away, in the clearer areas. They are organizing a concert and a big peaceful protest this Saturday. I am planning to be there. Next time I will go later. Yesterday we started at 2. She it was 5 and they announced that the curfew beginning was moved from 7 to 11pm, I was already exhausted and thinking of giving up. I do not enjoy the heat, imagine with a piece of thick cloth on my face.1 point -

Obama to speak on police reform today as George Floyd protests continue. How to watch: This is sure to drive Trump absolutely mad. As we get closer to November, I'm confident President Obama will be more visible on behalf of Joe Biden. I can't wait to watch Trump's skin crawl.1 point -
I would definitely hold off your plans. We assume that some international flights will be permitted to land and take off from Thailand airports from July 1. But we do not yet know which countries will remain on a no fly list. I cannot see flights from countries where covid 19 is still not under control being permitted - but thats a guess. Second, as has been pointed out somewhere I recently read, you will almost certainly need a ton of paperwork including medical insurance up to US$100,000, a letter from the Thai Consulate etc. before you can get on a plane. Then we still have no idea if there will be any quarantine regulations remaining in place. The Prime Minister has made it clear there will be no general opening of tourism. The number of flights permitted to land will be strictly limited.1 point

you are part of very big crowd, rest assured. I never been there in July but my last year's trip in Aug was second best ever out of 20 so you can count on guaranteed fun with less crowds.1 point

....that I just needed something to make me smile. This video about a Filipino and his dog did it for me. At least they have each other. It also made me more aware that when I say I miss Thailand, what I'm really missing are moments of intimacy. And the older I get, that matters more than all the other reasons for wanting to return.1 point

Was there some 2-3 yrs ago for a short while. Myself not that much interested in such types, so just general info. Manilla does have (had, no idea about how corona works out there) several gay saunaś and massageplaces, not so much anymore in the sentral/downtown area but in Quezon, which is a separate area but just part of the same mega-city. If there are any sauna;ś that would offer more in commercial offers I dk. I visited a msg place which works much the same as in BKK (which I visit very frequently since many yrs) or Pnom Penh- you select a masseur and once in the cubicle you make an arrangement for ´special extra´ services-which one generally does not in BKK (it just comes naturally there) and which/what/how muth etc. Do not expect (contrary to general description) that all Pinoy guys are fluent in english. I remember i choose from an ´aquarium´ where the guys stand behind a glass screen. If some of these shops specialise in your type of guy I also dk. On the old shamelessmack blog (part 1-now long ago) and on travelgaysia you can find reviews and listings. Most other postings etc i saw on the other well known fora recommend the usual moderntimes contact sites to make a selection. If youre still in doubt, also consider Bali/Indonesia.1 point
