The Death of Expertise Is an article on PBS that speaks to what I think is one of the most dangerous phenomenons in our contemporary life. The Internet has empowered everybody to be able to express an opinion, so now vast swaths of the world want to replace actual knowledge with their fact free opinions. Moron culture thrives cause everybody is entitled to their opinion, right? Never mind that people think the right to that opinion means they have the right to be respected for whatever idiocy they've espoused. Being locked in the house all day watching so many of my fellow Americans demonstrate their stunning idiocy has not been that good for my mental health.3 points

we should count our blessing that we have a choice 'send or don't send", problem would be if there was noting to ponder choices about.1 point

I haven't watched the last episode yet. Ernie and Henry Willson start as bad guys. Willson as a hero later on is huge stretch. I understand Ernie's Change of Heart, not Willson's. I wish Ryan Murphy's budge emphasis was on the script, less on the atmospheric, clothes and scenery.1 point

I watched all seven episodes over the weekend and very much enjoyed it. The cinematography was outstanding, many scenes were just beautiful. I liked every member of the cast. I had only seen Jim Parsons in "The Big Bang Theory" - his acting in "Hollywood" was a revelation. Taylor Holland has always been one of my favorites and she does not disappoint. David Corenswet and Jake Picking were both new to me and I hope to see much more of them. Of course the eye candy didn't hurt either. I highly recommend.1 point -

I would not be so sure. Sometimes I feel like overestimating American people's stupidity is impossible.1 point -

End of April update My all time favorite Viro contacted me on Facebook. He asked for money as he had a motorcycle accident in Cambodia and didn't wear a helmet. He knew perfectly well from previous attemps 2 years ago that I don't give money between meetings. He must be desperate. As I'm aware that coronacrisis is hitting hard on everyone, I decided to make an exception and have given him some money. I hope he will not try to ask more money soon.1 point

Trump: “They always said Lincoln. Nobody got treated worse than Lincoln. I believe I am treated worse.” Lincoln was assassinated, but that’s nothing compared to Trump having to answer questions from reporters. (copied from @keithboykin)1 point -
