First, I am a big Ryan Murphy fan. I enjoy everything he does (almost). I do like American Horror (depending on the season) and I loved Glee and the Politician. In Hollywood, Murphy is Murphy. He tells a story. It is a beautiful story of what Hollywood could have been in an alternate universe. What I think I got the most out of it was the what ifs? What if someone had starting casting gay characters so many years ago? What if it was easier to be gay in my youth because Hollywood showed it. I do think that Hollywood (the complex) can change the world. Part of acceptance of gays is because of the acceptance by Hollywood in recent years. Look at Ellen. Who doesn't love her? (well, I hear a few but not many). I love the hustling aspect of the movie and thought there were a lot of avenues that we on boytoy can explore. Straight men servicing gay men. The casting couch. etc. I have always love Darren Cris and thought he did a great job. But, for me Pattie LuPone was brilliant. I love her character and have always loved her acting. Murphy stays true and brings in those actors he loves and likes to work with. I like that as well. The story was a bit overboard at times but I like extravagance and happy endings. There were lots of happy endings in this (boytoy style too) but what I liked was seeing the change in characters as time progressed. It is only like 8 episode and an easy watch but very enjoyable! Hats off to Murphy but loved seeing the cast of hotties as well!2 points

Trump Memorial in D.C.

Trump: “They always said Lincoln. Nobody got treated worse than Lincoln. I believe I am treated worse.” Lincoln was assassinated, but that’s nothing compared to Trump having to answer questions from reporters. (copied from @keithboykin)2 points -
Covid19 Needed Items

It is hard being stuck all alone during lock-down. But, there are some items that make things more comfortable. For you what are they? For me, my Nespresso machine has been a godsend. I use it at least 5 times each day and love the flavor of the coffee. I also use my Instapot a lot. I like cooking frozen chicken with a bit of broth and spices to make pulled chicken sandwiches. Naturally, the Internet has been amazing and I can't imagine what it would be like with no Internet.2 points -

The Death of Expertise Is an article on PBS that speaks to what I think is one of the most dangerous phenomenons in our contemporary life. The Internet has empowered everybody to be able to express an opinion, so now vast swaths of the world want to replace actual knowledge with their fact free opinions. Moron culture thrives cause everybody is entitled to their opinion, right? Never mind that people think the right to that opinion means they have the right to be respected for whatever idiocy they've espoused. Being locked in the house all day watching so many of my fellow Americans demonstrate their stunning idiocy has not been that good for my mental health.1 point

I would not be so sure. Sometimes I feel like overestimating American people's stupidity is impossible.1 point -

I also really like the 1940's look of Hollywood.1 point

True. Even with good load factors the profit was probably minimal. I also suspect THAI just did not have spare twin engine aircraft to maintain the US routea. Singapore Airlines had a daily Newark/Singapore non stop for some years but that also used A340s and was cancelled when oil prices started to spike.. It was reinstated last year as a business and premium economy only flight using newer A350 aircraft. I cant imagine a THAI non stop surviving without a decent sized economy section.1 point

Did it for you. Just finished the season and loved it. A bit overboard at times but fun to watch!1 point

I have to laugh to not cry. And it's far from just Michigan, there've been multiple protests in Huntington Beach and yesterday there was one in downtown LA (though I doubt there were many assault weapons at either...). Armed white men with flags or patches of America's enemies being allowed to protest armed to the teeth in stark contrast to the response to #blacklivesmatter is absolutely disgusting. As always, Trump has said these are "very fine people".1 point

It's your show. You will note that I made a "suggestion," nothing more. I found it hard to live with my own suggestion because I wanted to promote Hollywood on Netflix with its own thread. It might get lost in a long list.1 point

Beautiful video from beginning to end.Thank you. It brought back so many memories. I lived one block from Broadway for most of my young adult life and got to see more plays and musicals than one can count. My old building was filled with Broadway stars of years gone by (rent-stabilized). I had the pleasure of knowing a few of the performers in this video and it was so enjoyable to watch. I was lucky enough to go to the Tony Awards a few times and sat in the first 2 rows. Seeing this video just brings back so many memories from a young man. Thank you.1 point
