  1. Google translate works great But you missed the point of the post! Don’t negotiate! Give the price you think it is worth and if they don’t accept say thanks and go to the next guy you are interested in! 9-1/2 times out of 10 he will stop you before you can say a word to the next guy! :-)

  3. I agree with you, and appreciate your words of friendship... and I do not ever feel attacked by you. Just two things.... the crazy right wing trolls over there - I am not sure how many of them there actually are because it seems highly possible that it may be even fewer than we think and it is one or two persons posting under multiple nicknames the other thing is does it not seem bizarre to you that, of all places, these right wing nut job conspiracy theorists have sought out a board intended for men who seek the paid companionship of other men to advance their marginal views and make life hellish for anyone who disagrees with them? WTF are they even doing there?

  4. Tomcal, I get that your experience and familiarity to the guys working there may negate the need to negotiate. BUT: I don't think it's a good idea for most of us going to the saunas to meet garotos to not confirm the agreed upon fees BEFORE getting intimately acquainted. Most of the guys are above board, but especially in desperate times like these, more than just a few might create a scene when you're finished and they only then tell you they expect you to pay much more than you had expected. I think it's always a good idea to know going in what the agreed upon fees will be. I speak from a couple bad experiences years ago, when despite my having been there several times over the years, some of the garotos would jack up their rate after we'd finished if we had not clearly agreed first.

  5. I don't remember if there were other customers. Maybe one or two, as it is never very crowded. But I don't mind that, as long as every customer has a different selection of boys. I don't mind other clients next to me. It could even add up to the fun. In a sauna, you also have others close to you. What hot action happened with three of the boys? Well, it started completely innocent with buying a drink for them, like in any other bar in LOS. Drinks in Golden Cock are very cheap compared to other bars. After that, some kissing. I prefer boys to be shirtless, so some clothing was removed. They did the same to me, so one boy started playing with my nipples. Boys noticed something getting bigger in my pants and they were curious about it. Well, i had the same idea about theirs. When you have 3 boys petting you, it is a great moment. One of the boys was doing very well with his mouth. I left very happy. Of course I paid the drinks and a fee to the bar for the fun inside the bar, comparable to an off fee.

  6. :-). I am not a god teacher I just try and use common sense and try to remember that the majority of sauna guys do not care how young you are / how good looking you are / because they are not gay!(i would guesstimate 60•% are straight)! But there are a lot of nice honest guys you just need to find them in the group! This happens to those of us who go to Brazil either multiple times a year or stay for extended times each year!(like solaceSoul /Badboy/ likeohmygod, etc.)

  9. Saturday I slept all morning and even part of the afternoon. Went out for a walk, but couldn’t find a masseur I really liked. Dinner buffet in Le Méridien hotel, which is expensive but really nice for a farang like me who is very picky on food. Many boys contacted me on Grindr. I noticed Rak, which I knew from previous visits, but does not work anymore as a gogoboy. He agreed to meet late in the evening. Nice to see him again. Visited Moonlight to start the evening. Too many Chinese with mouthmasks around me, and boys not really my type, so I left after 20 minutes. Went over to some bars on the first floor in front of Lucky Boys. Did not find the right boy, so went over to Lucky Boys again. Boy from yesterday evening recognized me, but I had decided to take different boy every evening during this short trip. During previous trips, I often had preferred one boy for several nights, but not this time. Number 1 in Lucky Boys tried to get a repeat off, but he as a dud when I offed him in his X-boys period, I ignored him. It took me a long time to make up my mind, as there are so many good looking boys. Mamasan came to sit next to me, so I gave her a tip when I had selected my boy. Once again a boy from Cambodia, who performed well. He really liked my room and made a lot of selfies. Even 3 months later, he still uses one on Grindr and another one on his Facebook. So nice to keep some connection with the boys on Facebook. Sunday Did not feel so inspired, so I went over again to the “super market of boys” Lucky Boys. Once again I noticed a very hot boy from Cambodia. I must say the quality of the boys in this bar is far above average I have seen in other bars in Bangkok or Pattaya. The boy turned out to be a great bottom, so tip well deserved. The evening is only starting, so I went to the soi with DJ Station, but didn’t like it over there. Came back to Screw Boys, noticed a younger Lao bottom and we went to my room. Not a top performer, but it was a great evening anyway. Monday Today is all dedicated to Viro, my all-time favorite boy from Battambang region. We met about 2 years ago when he was new at X-boys. Last year, we have spent a few days together in Poseidon hotel in Pattaya. We chat a few times a month on Facebook. He went back to school after returning to Cambodia, but came to BKK to meet me today and stay over until I leave for the airport tomorrow. He is the only boy I like so much he can stay all night. Otherwise I prefer to sleep alone. He really gives me a boyfriend experience. I am so happy to meet him again. I pay him for 2 days, as he has been travelling so far to meet me.

    Psychosis at M4M?

All I can say is "Wow." Someone resurrected at the M4M foums a 5 year-old string (What's Your Earliest "I'm Queer" memory?) in which people were asked to recall when they first realized they were gay (in my case it when I was a 12 year-old in my gym class, admiring the 14 year-old who led us into calisthenics, which I discussed in my 2015 response). The string was locked with the following message: "Thread Closed. It is against the rules to discuss children; even ourselves." So discussing our past is child porn?? I don't think even Justice Thomas or Justice Alito would go that far. I can certainly understand and wholly support banning child pornography. But if the mere mention of children in a non-sexual way is child pornography, so is Mary Poppins. Am I the only person who feels this way, or is the leadership at M4M completely off its rocker?

    NYCityBallet streaming

... thru their website and other platforms Tuesdays and Fridays, past filmed shorter-length ballet performances kept up for 72 hours. Still time to catch the first piece (Balanchine/Tchaikovsky) from Apr 21st. This Friday is resident choreographer Peck’s Rotunda that received a positive NYT review upon premiere in February.

  12. I understood that part. That wasn’t hard to understand at all. I know how those platforms work and who they appeal to. What I was pointing out, however, is that the end receiver of the webcam can easily record the performance they are watching, using a screen recorder or one of countless video capturing apps. Then, the perpetrator can use it for their own private use, or worse yet, send it through private message or email to anyone they choose, or even worse, post it on message boards, blogs, or hubs like Pornhub or XVideos — all of which have occurred here and elsewhere, including in private groups. If the garotos you are using are fully aware of all of these possibilities and consent to this in advance, then have at it to your heart’s content. Those are (typically) not the ones I deal with — but they still deserve to be treated with the opportunity to provide fully informed consent. Two points here: (1) I have never stated it was “disturbing”. I just said it’s not for me. (2) I’m not into having simultaneous sex acts in groups or having sex in public scenes with others around, whether live or on webcam. Who the garoto has sex with behind closed doors or what the customer / client looks like has little to do with this. I don’t understand how you came to the conclusion that it did.
    1 point
  13. I will agree that the best approach is to simply say upfront, “eu pago x reais” (I pay x BrazilIan dollars), and don’t ASK the garoto “quanto custa?” (how much?). If you’re in the “going-rate” range, if you’re not some smelly hideous ogre, and if you’re not asking for some crazy deviant sexual shit, then 9 times out of 10, you’ll get a yes. For that other 1 out of 10 that counteroffers with a higher price that you just don’t want to pay, you can simply walk away — there will be no hard feelings if you didn’t take up too much of the garoto’s time. Sometimes the garoto will just walk away himself! Sometimes they return to you for your original asking price. If you do choose to pay the higher price, I would suggest ONLY doing this in those rare cases that this certain garoto is an absolute must-have, never-to-be-experienced-again type that is every dream for you. But newsflash: there’s one like that around every corner in Rio, so you should not be afraid to simply say “no thanks” or “maybe later”, and just walk away. And in follow-up meetings with a garoto you’ve been with in the past, it never hurts to repeat before the programa is booked, “x reais”, so that there’s no misunderstanding (or if it’s been quite a while since your last visit, and his prices might have gone up). But if you’re a first-timer and you’re only going to be in Brazil for a few days, and won’t experience it again (or for years to come), then I’m not going to tell you to let a 50 reais price differential cause you to miss out on your dream garoto that you may never see again. That’s your judgment call to make at the time. I know if I were ever in that position (which admittedly, would have been a long time ago!), I would choose the experience with the man of my sexual and physical dreams over a few dollars price differential — but that’s for each person to decide.

  14. You're sharing also in saunas, the same cock who is going to fuck you in the next 2 minutes has probably been inside a 80 yo guy's ass 10 minutes before... Same thing happened probably to his tongue... With the difference that you would not see the others webcams except for the performer's one. I am not trying to convince anyone, to me it could be interesting. As I have stated, I live in an apartment who lies in the exact center of São Paulo escorts hot spot ... I am not feeling alone.

  15. I’m a hard NO. Reasons: (1) I have a particular type that is markedly different from that of regular posters here; (2) I can already do this on my own, with garotos I know, and who trust me NOT to do anything with the webcam videos or streams (which cannot be guaranteed with others); (3) Many of my favorites aren’t interested in being caught on film doing things I would want to pay for privately; (4) I don’t do groups, and most definitely not with groups of people I don’t know. But good luck in your endeavor.

  16. It is old news that the "leadership" at that site is totally of its rocker. It is the one place, however, we can turn to for people who are arguing that Covid-19 is not a threat, that Donald Trump is a great national hero, and that senility is no reason not to share one;s thoughts with the world. The site has totally degenerated into a resting place for sadistic and nasty kremlin fueled bots who do nothing but rant and rave and look for anybody, anybody at all to engage with. And that is the TRUE meaning of "pornography".

  19. I think maybe you missed what I was saying...there is NO negotiating on my part, and actually have very seldom ever discussed price/money. When we are done I hand them the money and that’s the end of it! I know I am paying the going rate! And they know! Obviously being a familiar face and known to a lot of the guys gives me and several other posters here a advantage! But I have never in 19 years of going to Brazil negotiated price... no matter how bad I wanted him! Once you deviate it’s out, all the other guys will know you paid that guy more and then the game playing starts!

    Goodbye Lonely Planet

From CNN The wild story behind Lonely Planet's first Thailand guidebook By Joe Cummings Editor's Note — Joe Cummings created the very first Lonely Planet Thailand guide, which was published in the early 1980s. As the famous travel brand begins shuttering its offices, Cummings reflects on his decades-spanning career as a guidebook writer. (CNN) — The recent news that Lonely Planet Publications was shutting down its production offices in Melbourne and London almost entirely, and totally eliminating its widely admired magazine and all non-guidebook titles, didn't take me completely by surprise. With planes grounded, borders closed and people staying home all over the world in response to the Covid-19 health crisis, any business associated with travel and tourism is on its knees at this point. Still, having been a Lonely Planet guidebook author for 25 years, I feel it. I watched the company grow from a fledgling two-person start-up in the 1970s to an empire with more than 500 office staff on four continents. In the 1990s, when I was visiting LP's headquarters in Melbourne two or three times a year, a steady climb in sales and production forced the company to shift to a larger location three times. Thus for me, and I'm sure for many others who grew up hopping the globe with dog-eared guidebooks close at hand, the closure of Lonely Planet's original headquarters signals the end of an era. In my life, that era kicked off when I first read "Southeast Asia on a Shoestring" while on my way to work in Thailand as a Peace Corps volunteer in 1977. Nicknamed "the yellow bible" by its legion of devotees, the rustic guide was written by the UK's Tony Wheeler, who together with his Irish wife Maureen, created their DIY imprint four years earlier after finishing an overland journey from London across Asia to Australia. Their stapled-together "Across Asia on the Cheap," complete with hand-drawn maps, sold 1,500 copies on street corners down under. Each chapter was devoted to a different country in Southeast Asia, and although the info was skimpy, and the maps barely usable, I was nevertheless impressed that someone had actually done it. Born to a traveling military family who lived in Europe, I was used to the "F" guides -- Fodor's, Fielding and Frommer's -- which for the most part stuck to well-trod itineraries in Europe, North America and Japan. Established during the early post-WWII era, these guides were geared towards people like my parents, who carried bulky suitcases and traveled by private car. Writing about how to travel in developing countries via local bus and train, Lonely Planet was very underground by comparison, for the time. When I finished my assignment in Thailand and was preparing to travel home by way of India and Nepal, I checked Bangkok bookshops to see if Lonely Planet had published anything more on these countries other than brief chapters in their out-of-print "Across Asia on the Cheap." There was nothing available on either place yet, but while browsing the shelves, I discovered just-released Lonely Planet titles on Myanmar and Sri Lanka. I bought both, and read them cover-to-cover while traveling through the subcontinent (I didn't actually visit either country till later, as a Lonely Planet author on assignment). Avoiding culturally insulated travel Back in the States, I started writing for The Asia Record, a San Francisco-area newspaper dedicated to Southeast Asian affairs in the wake of the US-Vietnam War and fall of Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. I also enrolled in a master's program at the University of California at Berkeley, where I wrote a thesis on tourism as seen through the eyes of communist insurgencies in Thailand and Malaysia. One day in late 1980, I sat down, fed a blue aerogram into my electric typewriter, wrote out a proposal for a "Lonely Planet Thailand" guide, and mailed it directly to Tony Wheeler. Within a few weeks, Tony wrote back and said that coincidentally he was looking for someone to do a guide on Thailand, and since LP was expanding, he didn't have time to do one himself. At his request, I sent him a writing sample that followed the Sri Lanka guide template and focused on Ko Sichang, an island off the coast of Sri Racha that I'd visited several times while living in Bangkok in the late '70s. As far as I knew, no one had ever published anything about the island in English before. Tony's second response came quickly, offering $9,000 to create the first edition of Thailand -- a travel survival kit. I had to pay my own air fare and expenses, but as it turned out I simultaneously received a paid fellowship from Berkeley to carry out field studies, so I rolled the two projects into one trip during the spring of 1981. I hit the ground running. It was an exciting moment for me, since the book I was researching would become the first English-language guide devoted entirely to Thailand since "Guide to Bangkok with Notes on Siam," published by the State Railway of Siam in 1928. Although there were a couple of French and German guides, they were very much geared towards hiring your own car and driver and staying in first-class hotels along the way, much like Fodor's and other mainstream guides. 22. Am I that transparent? lol The business in NA is definitely more like independent contractor and guys are likely to get together to discuss which clients are good and which are bad. With some practice and more observation, I think I should be able to get the hang out it!

  23. You must be new to this? For the most part, the sauna garoto scene is close knit and most of them know each other, are friendly with one another, or try to get along, if not as friends then at least as business associates. Helping each other out helps extend their own business, and makes their own time spent as a garoto easier. Letting each other know about clients is one really effective way to do that. My observation is that for most garotos, talking about other clients to garotos is less about pure gossip and more about business communication. But there are ones who do enjoy gossiping and shooting the shit, just for the sake of it (a small minority).

I just can't understand people supporting Trump....maybe at the start, but now? But then again, I don't understand how people could be members of a cult.

  27. I agree with most of what everybody has commented on but everybody also needs to remember that your price is also quoted based on what you look like by some of the guys.... I know fat or out of shape or overly gross guys will be quoted higher prices in hopes they so no because its too much work... I have also seen/been given a better rate/lower rate based on how attractive you are to the sauna guys.... That is a huge variable when it comes to pricing...while there are set prices, it pays to be in shape, healthy, attractive, CLEAN, etc.

    Carnaval in Rio !

I simply cancelled my May flights (and will get refund from the airline) but I did not book anything. It is hard to foresee what is going to happen. In all cases as soon as the situation becomes clearer, it is obvious that the planes will not be full and prices might not be that high. I am concerned by the places which may go bankrupt because of an extended period without any income. I really wonder if Lions or Fragata will be open again some day, I have also a thought for all the boys who were working in the sauna and generally speaking the sexworkers who do not have any income for weeks now and maybe for many more weeks. I wonder how they survive. Coronavirus situation in Brazil seems to be out of control in some places. There were pictures of the he burying of corpses in the city of Manaus (certainly a proof that nor higher temperature nor high humidity makes the virus disappear). Officially, Brazil declared as of today 3704 cases, which I do not believe at all. It is clear that this does not take into account the people dying in favellas. In Manaus, the official figure of total number of deaths is 172. In the past 3 days, there were 340 burials ! In many cases, the causes of deaths are mentionned as "unknown" and therefore not taken in to account in the official figures of deaths linked to virus. Political situation seems to be difficult for Bolsonaro with regular pot-banging protests from Brazilians urging "Bolsonaro out", the firing of the Health Minister, the resignation of the justice minister Sergio Moro, after clashing with Bolso over the sacking of the head of Brazil Federal police, the problems in the favelas, ...

  29. Unlike Argentina's, Brazil's culture is not U$S centered. In Argentina, prices do not match exactly currency exchange fluctuations, but if the dollar goes up, local prices follow. All prices, not only sex workers' fees. Besides, talking specifically about prostitution, as there is not a public market like Brazilian saunas, there are differentiated fees for local and foreign clients. Not in Brazil. However, I noticed that many Americans think that GPs are quoting them a different fee because they are Gringos. I think this misconception could be coming from not understanding a bargaining culture. In a Brazilian sauna, a GP will always quote a high price first to a new client, whatever your passport is. It is up to your mastering of the game to pay the price you want. I usually negotiate a price that is about 50 Rials above what local clients pay, but I could easily negotiate a lower price. Part of this negotiation is establishing empathy and connection. A likable potential client get better deals. Your nationality has really no weight in the price you pay in a sauna. If you do not know the game, you will overpay whether you are a local or a visitor.

  32. Nope...unless the minimum wage doubles during the next months (impossible, it would take 12/15 years normally), and it would mean hyperinflaction, and again a even weakier currency. Escort prices are not excluded by the demand/supply law...especially in a market where the biggest share of customers is represented by the locals. Exchange rate only affects imported goods, and the gringo rates...so if there where boys asking 400 just becase a potential customer is a gringo, maybe there will be ones trying to ask 600 now. Why not? If one is so stupid to be willing to pay 4 to 6 times what he would have paid by offering a price (100/150 BRL) instead of asking it to a GdP... Chances are the programas will get cheaper because of the 2 following reasons: Lower demand...local sugar daddies will be less and less willing to pay as much as they did. Higher supply...many of the boys (enen their families) have temporary jobs, and most of them have "easy" minimum wage (1'040 reais/month) ones...many will become unemployed...more garotos de programa. It will suck from a human perspective....from a mean customer perspective it will be paradise. Never accept the gringo price, and never ask for the programa's price, for shit's sake. Make them a offer...100/150 saunas...200/300 internet (+ uber as a tip)

  41. From Khaosod English Gov’t Extends Foreigners’ Stay to July 31, Halts 90-Day Report BANGKOK — The government on Tuesday approved another round of automatic visa extension for foreigners residing in Thailand, this time for a further three months. Government spokeswoman Narumon Pinyosinwat said the Cabinet agreed with the plan proposed by the Immigration Bureau to permit foreigners whose visas had expired since March 26 to stay further until July 31 without having to apply for an extension at immigration offices. “The outbreak of COVID-19 in Thailand and other countries remains unresolved,” Naruemon said. “If we don’t extend permission to stay, foreigners would have to come to see immigration officers. It would cause overcrowding and risk of infection.” Naruemon said the 90-day report requirement is also suspended. The government granted a similar extension earlier this month, allowing stranded foreigners to stay without legal repercussions until April 30. The move came after widespread complaints of overcrowding and risk of coronavirus infection at immigration offices across the country.
