  1. The number of new Covid-19 cases is declining every day the past 5 days in Thailand. That’s a good sign!

    Too Hot For The Sauna?

An Australian gay sauna is taking patrons temperature before allowing them entry. And it joked it is now ‘the first sauna in Australia to not allow you entry if you’re too hot’.

  4. Bogota (pop. 7.5 million) is very high up in the Andes and is always foggy, damp and cool. The native population is Inca. But it's also a huge modern European-type city and costs twice as much as Medellin for everything. It also has a huge gay area that Medellin does not. They vacation often in Medellin and everyone in Bogota will tell you how beautiful Medellin is and how good-looking and friendly the people are there. Medellin (pop. 2 million) is in a always-sunny valley and has flowers and vacation hotels everywhere. The people are mostly European Spanish stock with a little mix. They are extremely friendly and healthy and Medellin is a festive city. There is no clear gay area but several gay clubs and there is a small block of hustler bars downtown, and Club Tobi. a beautiful sauna, which has "no holes barred" masseurs for $18. I had excellent experiences at Tobi but later reviewers said the quality of the masseurs declined. Many latin Chaterbate rooms are really in Medellin and it's good to make contacts before going there. Although many guys are receptive they're hard to find. The ones in the hustler bars are the only ugly guys in Medellin. Cali (pop. 2.5 million) is Pacific coast but I've never been.

  5. As others have said, my first night was memorable. Why? Because it was the first. For me, that was the first night of my first visit to BKK, back in the summer of 1997, which I've written about on another thread. However, the first night that I had a really great fuck is also memorable. That was at the end of '97. It was with a guy called Toy, of all things, who worked at Twilight. He was an ethnic Khmer from Buriram who could, um, ram it really well. He claimed to be 27, but I found out later he was closer to 37. We got together off and on for a year until he ordained as a monk. No kidding. Apart from the night I met my longterm boyfriend, the other most memorable night was the one I spent with a Thai guy off Romeo. Beginner's luck, in that he was my first-ever online connect in BKK. This was around 2012. We met in Silom and had a drink in Soi 4. He spoke excellent, idiomatic English. We then took a taxi to his condo unit in a tall, swanky building. Said he was an architect. Looked to be in his late 20s, but who knows? Quite dark skinned. Average height, but muscular and with a chiseled jaw. It turned out he was also packing a thick 7 or so inches, which he used to work me over good. At dawn, pretending to be still asleep, he pulled the blanket aside to reveal his morning wood. I admired it for a few minutes before he grabbed my neck and pushed my head down for a blow job, which I was only too happy to provide. There followed a thorough fuckdown before he kicked me out around 8am, saying that he had to go to work. Never saw him again, nor did I ever have such a successful Romeo encounter again.

I've been curious to know, even when Brazil opens its economy and the saunas again and travel restrictions are lifted, how many of us will jump right back into swapping bodily fluids (the ones we used to think were safe) with some new garoto? I'm asking the most adventurous and experienced set of adventurers in the world.

  8. yup, and the number of recovered patients is now larger than the number of hospitalized ones. The number of new recoveries is outstripping the new reported infections and, assuming the new cases remain on their declining trend, will continue to do so. Given new infection numbers from about 2+ weeks ago we should expect around 100 new daily recoveries in the coming week or two, leading to further declines in active cases. Fingers crossed!

    Force Majeure

One more reason to think twice before purchasing property in LOS. Developers struggle with ‘guaranteed returns’ in Covid-19 property crisis There is one key underlying fundamental for hotel branded residences returns, and the truism that best sums it up is that returns are a function of hotel trading performance and marketplace. In Asia, the largest branded residences market is Thailand. According to C9 Hotelworks market research, the country represents 29% of regional supply with key markets being Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Hua Hin and Chiang Mai. In an evolving hotel ownership model that has developers passing on risk to residential property buyers, the question has to be what risks are inherent in this, given the current Covid-19 crisis? The answer is twofold in that some owners of existing units are currently under guaranteed return programs or those who are buying new projects and are expecting contracted returns. Here in Thailand there are a variety of rental programs ranging from top line rental revenue splits to bottom line profit splits between the hotel and unit owner, and the increasingly popular lease-back arrangement. The latter was thought to be beneficial to the operator so that tenure is ensured in the project, and for unit owners who thought the lease amounted to a fixed-rental guarantee. Commercially in Thailand, these types of contractual obligations are reflected in civil contracts and in the case of guarantees rarely are they backed by corporate undertakings, escrow accounts or bank guarantees. So in the case of a default, the only real remedy is a direct legal action. This sadly is often too costly or time consuming for single unit buyers to pursue. With Covid-19, if force majeure is considered to be in place, a court action will have to determine who’s right and wrong. So essentially, let’s just say it’s complicated. During this past week we have seen three different projects in Thailand suspend guaranteed returns to buyers, and you can expect the number to jump in coming weeks. The warning which is important for buyers of branded residences is that they are not purchasing a traditional real estate model, with the likely end game of capital appreciation. They are becoming de facto owners in a hotel, and as such need to carefully understand Thailand’s hotel supply and demand and performance metrics. Hotels are capital intensive and require a different standard of fit-out, operation and reinvestment vs pure residences. https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/thailands-developers-struggle-with-guaranteed-returns-in-covid-19-property-crisis

    'We are social animals'

And the longer that the lockdown continues in various countries the greater the chance that we will see similar mass 'rebellions' Trouble is the lockdowns are demonstratably making awful situations far less awful than they might otherwise have been - but it will be an increasingly hard message to sell to bored and frustrated families as the weeks continue.

  12. This site is a place where engaging, not disengaging, more often than not gives participants some rewards. Here I think we have self-selected to come together in at least a little bit more mutual giving than taking. And we come here because we like one another, not the opposite. End of sermon.

Many of us enjoy exchanging ideas, but I do agree that some of the posters on Daddy's politics forum are simply obnoxious. Once you know that about them, you simply disengage. You know, you can sometimes learn from others:

Medical professionals across the globe are doing just that; trying to save lives as much as possible. It is however very hard to do when you don't have the resources to test as much as we need to. Testing and isolation protocols should have been activated a long long time based on the advice the medical community gave to political leaders across the globe, but here we are. It is true we can't have economies shut down for an extended period of time, it will spell dire consequences for the world economy and mental health. it is very easy to apportion blame right now, but there is no easy way around this because in a sense we are a tad bit late, so all we can do is to save as many lives that walk through our doors. As for the issue of immunity. Humans are not too great on forming immunity when it comes such seasonal viral infection. The most we have seen in terms of immunity to viruses in this family is 3 years post infection where as some formed an immunity for just 1 year post infection. Unfortunately as the name suggests this Coronavirus is too novel for us to have concrete answers as to how long we form an immunity and how good that immunity is. There are several factors that go into the production of antibodies that help us form this immunity, so for now the general consensus is that people will have some form of immunity but the question is how good/deep this immunity is and for how long does the immunity last. This is all uncharted waters and we are collecting as much data as we can to make informed recommendations as we go along. But it is very difficult when you uncooperative political associates making life harder by dismissing recommendations which would have gone a long way to save lives a long time ago and now. In short, Testing was very important and still is important, we have found that early intubation and ventilation is key to survival (there are not enough ICU beds and ventilators in the world for that). those drugs being thrown around might mitigate some of the respiratory inflammatory response to the viral infection but they are not curative. Way forward; if we are able to truly enforce social and physical distancing, the curve will flatten a little quicker, the plateau of the various models will be shorter and the decline steeper. this will mean less strain on us, healthcare, ICU personnel and resources, PPEs, we can open up our ORs for elective surgeries again. less strain on the economy and I can go back to getting railed and shagging my way through Brazil again. i can't fucking do that if i am permanently scarred from wearing those Goggles for 12-16 hours and mentally scarred from intubating and calling families about their loved one that died alone!!! but i digress lol My two cents but I will let the multitalented experts on this forum make the final call though.

  19. its definitely the worst of the options-the road is much faster, as its the triangle-shape: on the iron roads you travel via the longer 2 sectors. THE world wide site for any Qs re trains is seat61.com, but do realise its anti-bus. To the Q'depends on the train and the comfort wished for. In fact 3d cl canNOT even be reserved in most trains. There is 1 morning train which is more like a bus on rails and has only AC 2nd cl. Must be reserved-that comes together automatic with the ticket. May sell out on busy days. Also for the views its worthless: windows are opaque and as soon as there is a ray of sun any decent Thai closes the curtains etc. There may-or may not now-still be some food offered-think of a 20 bt box of rice with a few chickenpieces. From around 14.00 the overnight trains to the far south start running, these vary in what they offer and their prices. 1st cl. is totally unnecessary for that sector-its an enclosed 2 berth compartment with AC, meant for sleeping overnight. Remaining empty space for NOT overnight (thus to HH ) will only be sold on the day itself and is due to all the supllmts. very expensive for the distance and only available on a few crack premium trains. Its now fairly easy to book yourself on the site of the SRT=State Railways-again see seat61 for the details. Expect late arrivals of 30 mns to hours-its mostly still single track so trains must wait for all the delays coming from south up. BIG bus is now much fewer as before and leaves from the faraway Sai Thai NEW Terminal along the western ring rd. This is VIP or 1st cl. and should be 1st choice-except for the nasty dep.point and few trips left. 2nd cl is now all VAN=minibus, often with terrific speeding and idiot drivers, TiTs after all and go very often -ev 20/30 mins all together from various terminals. Sites like busbud or rome2rio are notorious bad informed about things bus here in TH-often relying on data from 5-10 yrs ago. Most people/tourists in fact use the direct bus from Swampy airport. There are also a few direct buses from Mochit terminal, these come from further north. @909-good luck tomorrow, its stillChin.NwYr so many a transpo is mobbed out.
