I understand but at least you have a partner with whom you can share difficult times. I am thousands of miles away from mine, with no chance of seeing him for months. And anyway, for many people in our age group, isolation has its own problems when it comes to mental health issues like loneliness. Some are desperate for company.5 points

Trip Report from the Philippines
khaolakguy and 3 others reacted to GWMinUS for a topic
My third meet-up in Cebu City also proved to be memorable... He was a young guy, 18 yo, and still in High School. He contacted me on Romeo. And told me he really enjoyed meeting old Foreign men! At first I thought he was a Money Boy. But he pursued old Dad for several days and I finally invited him to come meet. He was 2 hours late arriving. Typical Filipino Time. So we went out for a late dinner. Lechon Baboy (Roasted Pig). He turned out to be most engaging. A good English talker. Dressed sharply. Wearing a black cap and a long ear drop. And the most beautiful long eye lashes. Dad thought he must be Gay. And he was!!! We went back to the Condo and he asked if he could stay the night. Of course I said yes. He had the cutest undies with prints of bears and other wild animals. He was short, his body was hard but not buffed, and he had a fine covering of hair from his chest down to his hard cock!! WOW. I had fun!! And he worked my old body over. But he did not CUM. And I did not try to f**k him. He slept in my arms all night. We had breakfast and then he said his Mother would expect him back home. I had given him my FB Messenger ID and he chatted with me several times. Asking if we could meet again. So later that week I invited him back and this time he arrived at the chosen hour. We out to the New Robinsons Galleria Mall. Beautiful place. I had to go to the Cebu Pacific Ticket Office, more on that next time. Then we met and I asked him if he wanted to do some shopping. HAHAHA I though maybe the Robinsons Department Store or BENCH. But he immediately said Penshoppe! So in we went. I found a place to sit and he went shopping. After a while he came back with a Dark Yellow Shirt and a Lighter Yellow Cap. (I should name him Cap Boy!!) He tried them on and looked Great!! By the way, Yellow is the new color in Men's Clothes. Shirts, Shorts, Pants. Maybe even Undies, I do not know. The cost of the shirt and cap was about 1800PHP but he also ask for a bottle of Cologne by the check-out counter. So the total bill was 2100PHP (a little more than USD40). His Pasalubong. After shopping we had a great sea food dinner. And this guy loved Shrimps!!! Back to the Condo and another great night in bed. But still he did not CUM. Two days later he called again wanting to meet. By then I was in "Love" so I could not say no. We had dinner, and came back to the Condo to watch a movie. I had brought many on USBs to play on the Smart TV. He wanted "Action Movie", so we watched Captain Marvel. HAHAHA. After that we cuddled and he ask me to f**k him. His young ass was Heaven. And this time he shot a big load all the way up onto his face!! Great ending with I guy I want to meet next trip!!!4 points -
UPDATE on what ggobkk posted: The quarantine facilities at the border crossing became overwhelmed with the influx of returnees. According to a report from a trusted source, about 200 returning VN nationals are in a holding area, waiting to be allowed to cross.2 points

This time I fully agree with Readers post. The worst example is the USA and President Trump's assessment of the threat. So here we are behind the curve on testing and medical preparations. My Partner and I are both over 70 yo and have "sheltered in place". Avoiding going out except to the market to buy food. But it is very boring. I am watching Boy Love Vids from Thailand. And he is writing Web Site Code...2 points

I hope your optimistic take on things proves to be more accurate than my conservative point of view. But I will take exception to a few points. First, don't underestimate some of these guys. Many knew what it was like to perform hard physical labor before they ever came to Bangkok. Laborer is not a "zero" skill. Second, performing half naked on stage, occasionally banging your cock against a pole and facing frequent rejection doesn't strike me as a particularly easy lifestyle.2 points

Songkran Postponement Goes to Cabinet; Conflicting Reports of Bar Closing (or not)
splinter1949 and one other reacted to DivineMadman for a topic
FYI - some of us were just at Telephone pub bar Restaurant . If and to the extent Telephone ____________ is a pub/bar, all signs are being removed/covered. It is a bar no longer. But Telephone: The Restaurant - and I assume Balcony: The Restaurant - will continue operating (until they can't). At least that's the plan now. So it's ok to go to Telephone. Soi 4 is not closing. Also - Telephone and Balcony have removed a bunch of tables so it you can practice social distancing. And the staff are as cute as ever.2 points -

From South China Morning Post The global health body warns that targeting travellers from infected areas may discourage countries from reporting outbreaks and delay the arrival of medical aid Some analysts fear that countries which attempted to restrict movement failed to use their time to prepare their health systems to cope with Covid-19 After decades of experience in dealing with global disease outbreaks as deadly as Aids and Ebola, the World Health Organisation has forged a series of guidelines on how to deal with epidemics. Most countries are now ignoring them in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. It has specifically advised against imposing travel bans on countries with Covid-19 outbreaks and warned that international restrictions can be “ineffective” during public health emergencies. The WHO says such actions can discourage countries from timely reporting of outbreaks if the result is economic and social disruption, while experts say it can also delay medical aid. “Why we’re concerned about these outbreaks is the direct and immediate loss to human life and making sure that is limited. But it is also about the functioning and stability of societies and their abilities to have a long-term response to both health and economic needs,” said Thomas Bollyky, director of the global health programme at the non-partisan US-based Council on Foreign Relations. Bollyky also said that these targeted travel bans could distract governments from making the necessary preparations for the arrival of disease. “Clearly some countries relied on this without taking all the domestic measures that needed to be done to prepare for the outbreak, and that’s tragic.” An unprecedented number of travel constraints are now in place around the world as countries scramble to deal with the spread of Covid-19, after failing to prepare for its arrival after it broke out in China almost three months ago. RockHard is simply posturing here. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. His attacks on Oliver have been vicious. He attacks me because I contradict his shit. I suggest we ignore him because he loves the attention.1 point

Oliver has no unique position on Daddy's other than the Palm Springs Weekend. We both post photos on the Gallary. But, I barely know him, other than liking each other's photos. He is a good guy.1 point

I suspect that the virus spreads more quickly in cities. Perhaps the high number of Thais who live in rural areas may limit its spread. I write this for my own benefit because I'm trying to find something optimistic to say about P, who lives in rural Kamphaeng Phaet and whose relative isolation has bothered me. Until now.1 point

Government closing bars
Boy69 reacted to Travellerdave for a topic
Thailand seems to have escaped the worst of Corona Virus as have surrounding countries with a relatively small number of confirmed cases and deaths. I wonder why this is so. Maybe because of a low amount of testing or maybe it’s genuine and perhaps the hot climate helps. i returned to England 2 weeks ago after an enjoyable 3 week visit to Pattaya so my timing was good.1 point -
I like to take a more optimistic point of view. If the closures are really only two weeks, the boys on enforced holiday will likely be out of cash by then and only too happy to return to work. However if longer than two weeks, many of them will have severe income difficulties. Some may return to work on the family farm but the economy is contracting everywhere. Finding alternative jobs on short notice especially when they have zero other skills will be close to impossible. They will weather the storm somehow but when bars reopen in a month or several months (some leeway expected of course for situation to stabilise and not immediately the day after opening) they will flock back in droves searching for customers, desperate to get back to their former easy lifestyles. And likely they will have friends in non-bar jobs who now find themselves jobless and come with them. We may well be spoiled for choice after this is all over. Right now some Chinese and Asian regulars are still landing in Bangkok to visit the bars or making external bookings, rather irresponsibly IMO as they may pass the virus on.1 point

If you want to read smart, synthetic and updated information on virus have a look at Tomas Pueyo daily publications. I follow him since approximately 10 days. It is really amazing. It started only in English with 20 K readers. Now it is above 30 Million readers and it has been translated in 30 languages. Amazing.1 point -

I have a booking for moreless the same dates in May. I will wait a little bit to see how the situation evolves but I do not think all this will be over in May. I think I will change my airline booking for November/December and book another ticket earlier as soon as the situation is almost normal.1 point

Saunas
splinter1949 reacted to Travellerdave for a topic
I agree with you Londoner about the price of entry for young Thais, but I think there could be another factor. I have sometimes mentioned the Sansuck Sauna to boys that I gave offed but have found that they were not aware of its existence and the possibilities for them. In the gay bars and gogos I do not recall ever seeing advertising material promoting it. Saunas, bars, gogos and the gay beach concessions could work together to foster a more vibrant gay scene in Bkk, Pattaya and the other resorts.1 point -

Lions sauna + Beco do Rato Both are located almost in front of each other. Very different styles though. Lions sauna is still alive and A. whom I met in 117 went dancing in the cage (there is a golden cage above the stage) last Friday. He told me that there were not so many people but it was lively. As indicated in the Lions address just above, Lions is located close to "Beco do Rato". Beco do Rato is a very well known samba place with very good atmosphere, great music. Worth a visit at night if you are fed up with boys.1 point -
I went with a friend who worked in the place, to know the place and not go alone. Surely you can agree on a price for any fantasy you like. It is good to negotiate the price.1 point
