Carnaval in Rio !
Bucknaway1614502762 and 3 others reacted to pauleiro for a topic
Pointe Monday After the big saturday party, the club was unusually empty for a monday. No line for getting a cabin ! Not so many boys. Not so many customers. I had arranged a meeting with A. A. is good looking, always smiling, expert with his tongue, power bottom and full of energy. When he greets you, it is as if you were a very close friend he had not seen for 10 years. He greets that way everyone he knows when he enters the club - and he knows lots of people : customers, garotos, barmen ...a "social butterfly". We discuss whether we are going to have a romantic session together or if we are going to invite a partner for a 3some and whom. I drink water and he drinks red bull tropical. I wonder what is the taste of red bull tropical and he offers me his glass, but I prefer to probe the taste in his mouth so he sips some red bull, keeps it is his mouth and we kiss. A long wet French kiss with tropical flavor. Awesome. We soon agree on a threesome but I want to make sure that we are not going to have the same bad chemistry between the boys than last time. We need to improve our selection process and start reviewing the garotos who are present. He already did 3some with a few of them and we can review experiences. From time to time, I redbulltropically kiss him. We soon agree on B. I spotted B. since my last trip and he came to see me when I arrived today. I told him I was waiting for a friend and he left. B. Is really good looking. Muscular guy with cute face and great smile. The only tattoes he has are the names of his children tattoed on his chest. We agree on a threesome. This time I check who is doing what and with whom which is easy since both boys are versatile. A. goes to fetch the key of a cabin. I told him not to take number 1 which is very small and not convenient for 3 persons - one of the reasons why our last 3some was not the best. He comes back with a key and it is number 1. I send him back to try to change and he comes back with key number 7. Since the beginning of the session, it is clear that chemistry between us 3 is going to be great. We start by a long 3some kiss. No tropical flavor this time but 3 hot tongues mix. A. has no problem to take my dick but has some problem when B starts fucking him. B's dick is bigger than mine (surprise !) and has a rather small head but his dick becomes thicker close to his pubes.A. complaints about the "conical shape" of B's dick but obviously enjoys taking B's dick up his ass. I tell the boys that we are not here for learning Euclidian geometry on cones. Big laugh. Fucking B's muscular ass is also great. B is tight ("apertado"). So he asks me to enter slowly ("devagarinho"). His white ass is in contrast with his sunburnt torso and back and turns me on even more. Fucking, rimming, kissing, sucking all well done and in a very friendly atmosphere. What a great session. I loved when both garotos were on the bed kissing each other and showing their asshole to me. Worth a repeat !4 points -
Pink Flamingo monday night Gogoboys ... and Karina Karao Last monday, I left around 1 am and did not see gogoboys. This time, I am planning to stay enough to see gogoboys, if any. A. is with us. At ease in the Pink Flamingo as he was in the sauna and as he is in his life. Easy going guy always willing to help and have fun. Many people in Pink Flamingo. Good music. Nice atmosphere. Many young guys drinking and dancing. One guy in particular is the focus of most of the other guys. Tall, rather good looking, showing his torso and wearing ultratight pants in which his huge dick (or any plastic tool he put there) is clearly visible. In French we call this "pantalon poutre apparente" (pants with visible beam), refering to the old buildings of the 16th or 17th century where the wooden beams were visible on the ceiling of the rooms or on the walls. The visible beam pant guy is horny and tongue kisses many boys around him. This seems to maintain his erection and he regularly needs to rearrange his tool in his pants. The 1am show with Karina Karao (Brazilian time) starts at 2 am. She has a very coarse voice. I wonder if it is a sore thoat, a result of her shouting or the cumulative effect of dick sucking ... everyone stays as impassible as the Big Pink Flamingo above her during the shouting ... She is wearing huge metalic circular ear rings. They are so big that a couple of parrots could easily stand on one of them. At the beginning of the show, she loses one of ear ring which get lost in her huge breast from which she manages however to recover it ... Stripper is the same as during last birthday in 117. Good looking super sexy guy. Bubble ass. Thanks to this scene, the visible beam pant seems ready to burst ... 2.30 am. Time to leave3 points

The weather is much better. After the 10 days of almost constant rain. Week end at the beach under the sun. The beaches south of Rio are really worth discovering, from Barra da Tijuca until Praia Abrico (nudist beach - nudism compulsory at week ends) and beyond. Rent a car or take a uber and go see these beaches and eat at one of the many restaurants along the beach. If you want contact of a uber driver who can take you to these places and eventually take you to Abrico at week end (he has a nice body) pm me.2 points

With limited availability of test kits makes this a particularly onerous requirement designed more for pols to cover their butts. Those who support the “shaming” of those who choose to fly will be ecstatic. in the end I believe that none of these strategies will have any significant effect in arresting the progression of the virus. It will run its course as corona viruses are historically prone to do. These actions’ will likely be more remembered for contributing to broad damage to economies across the globe, with no small help from the media that shouts the sky is falling 24/7.2 points

I had a gastric sleeve done at Bumrungrad in December 2017. I thought others might like to hear my experience. First, I spent a lot of time researching and talking to my doctor. He recommended a surgeon for me and I met with him. I liked him and we set a date for the preoperative procedures which included sending a camera down my throat and heart exam, etc. The throat exam was done under anesthesia and thus I remember nothing. But, all the doctors I met with signed off on the procedure so it was a go. The cost for the surgery was estimated at 650,000-700,000 Thai-Baht which included 4 nights in the hospital. The procedure itself took 2 hours. I was in the post op room for 2 more hours and then in my room. The doctors and nurses took great care of me in the room. The first night was very uncomfortable but not a great deal of pain. They did have me on pain killers. It was hard to sleep though although I felt I got more sleep in those 4 days than ever in my life. I had two doctors that checked in on me daily. The nurses were never more than one minute away if I pressed the button. They were professional and the room was great. I opted for a single room and it had a table and chairs and a sofa. It allowed me to move from my bed to different places in the room during the day to sit and read email, etc. The hospital Internet was great and never went down. The food was very bland as I was on an all liquid diet but that was expected. When the doctor released me, I felt fine and no pain. I had to go back to the doctor two times the first week to have the stitches removed and get checked. All was good and after those two visits, I was told to come back in one month. They put me on an all liquid diet and it has been fine. After 2 weeks of surgery I lost 25 pounds. Last week was the 4 month mark and I have lost 100 pounds since December. It has been an easy transition and much easier than I expected. I had little pain and little discomfort after a week or two. I have adjusted to real food but smaller portions. I am now swimming one hour per day and it has been healthy for me. I walk much better and am so much more active. My sex drive is up and I decided to start PrEP as there are just too many sexy Thai guys that need my assistance. My pants sizes are down and I feel better than I have in many years. It was a very good gamble for me to get the surgery. I am quite happy with the results. I can't express how much I recommend Bumrungrad. If others are interested in the doctor's name, PM me and I'll be happy to share. He not only did a great job but he made it easier than expected and I have had 3 friends use him and all had excellent experiences.1 point

Double whammy hits tourism
Boy69 reacted to Travellerdave for a topic
You have a point there Spoon. Poverty was one of the reasons for the development of sex tourism in Thailand. For some years we have been bemoaning the decreasing availability of gorgeous boys for gay sex tourists and the decline in bars and gogos catering for us. Str tourists also complain about the lack of available attractive girls. This is substantially a result of increased prosperity and the availability of other employment opportunities, so a slump in the Thai general economy would have a positive side in this regard. I agree that the demand for sex encounters will always be there - I like most gays find Asian boys insanely attractive in bed and out and I’m sure that there will always be business’ in Bkk, Pattaya and other resorts to meet my demand and to take my money, for as long as I survive.1 point -
GCIRCUIT’S SK2020 Parties Cancelled, an I'm So Bummed

After a few days, 23 respondents have now spoken, and it looks like the pro-BKK crowd is pulling away: I am still on the fence, and still keeping an eye out for any news positive or negative, but it seems that the conditions are a little bit worsening, at least in the USA. Still no adequate testing, still a lot of confusion, and the stock market tanking. It makes me just want to stay home and hide. But I am keeping positive and I haven't cancelled anything yet. This is the crux of the issue. I've probably experienced every permutation of Bangkok a Westerner could ever experience, and I continue to enjoy Bangkok to my heart's content, but this trip's main objective is me seeing Bangkok through the eyes of my BF, who has never been outside of South America. I want to show him the messy Songkran water fights, the full-strength stable of boys in Lucky Boys, the hubbub of Chatuchak Market, the amazing variety of the street food, and everything else that made me fall in love with the city. I want to see the wonder in his eyes, similar to what I had during my first time 6 years ago. A muted version of the Land of Smiles, partially obscured by a face mask, and unfortunately sterilized by hand sanitizer, is less ideal for anyone who visits the city expecting more, and even less ideal for a first-timer who has heard so many wild Bangkok tales from me. My latest long haul was last week, a 12 hour flight from Sao Paulo to Los Angeles fresh off Carnaval. The flight was 2/3 full and a lot of middle seats were empty, but I didn't get an inkling that COVID-19 had made the flight any worse. It was the next flight - Los Angeles to San Francisco - that showed signs of the paranoia and tension you're talking about. Some passengers were giving their seat a thorough wipe down using Clorox wipes, and even more showed up in face masks. And the flight was half-full, which made "social distancing" easier. I have a flight to the east coast in a few days, and then it is another long haul back to Brazil next week. Let's see how things have deteriorated. It might make my conundrum here easier if the flights are horrible. I can share my routing with you now. Since I was booking for me (coming from California) and the BF (coming from Brazil), I had to be creative. I wanted to meet him at a connection, since I thought it would be nice to fly with him on a long-haul, on the second leg. After playing around with some itineraries on United's pretty good award bookings site, I chose a routing that had us meeting in Zurich, with him leaving Sao Paulo to a direct to Zurich, and me leaving San Francisco direct to Zurich as well. We would meet in Zurich at the layover, and we would fly together, seated together, as we make our way to Bangkok. This is my booking. I booked last December, and they still had business class saver for 75k points: I feel so bummed if I have to cancel this (I was mistaken, award points redeposit fee is free with 1K status), because I like the Swiss business class lounge in Zurich airport, and that's where I will meet the BF during the layover, and also I was able to book seats next to each other in the leg going to BKK. It's a great romantic getaway, but if we shall arrive at an abbreviated version of Bangkok, then it might not be worth it. Who knows. I know that Puerto Vallarta is great this time of year. But back to routing, @ggobkk if you want to stay with Star Alliance and skipping the asian cities, you can go through Swiss Airlines through Zurich, Lufthansa going through Frankfurt or Munich, or a United-Austrian Airlines combo through Heathrow and Vienna. This will tack 2 hours or more to the usual 20 or so hours going through Asia, but desperate times call for desperate measures. The updates and advice have been awesome so far. Keep them coming!1 point -
What to know before booking flights
anddy reacted to DivineMadman for a topic
The rules are not being read as applying to "mere" transit folks. https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/international-travel-document-news/1580226297.htm. Strongly encourage people who care to check IATA. ("This does not apply when they only transited through China (People's Rep.), Hong Kong (SAR China), Iran, Italy, Korea (Rep.) or Macao (SAR China)") There are already reports of people flying Cathay who have visited HKG not getting past the check-in counter this morning because - obvs - no med certificate. But they are "originating" in HKG. U.S. person (for example) flying from JFK connecting to BKK via HKG not covered. (Unless of course otherwise meet the criteria. And unless and until the U.S. goes on the red-light list.) Obviously can change any time. Cathay has tried to put the info in consistent format that's not quite as exhaustive as the IATA info. Personally I find it easier to read, but probably not as quasi-authoritative as IATA. https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_US/travel-information/travel-preparation/travel-advisories/notice-regarding-travel-restrictions.html * * * There's an interesting sort of "Decameron"-like vibe to travel right now, but honestly I don't think anyone should travel unless they are prepared to get stuck along the way.1 point -
Whilst the Red Dragon bar was easy to find based on the descriptions in this thread it remained empty during my numerous visits to Patpong 2 over the recent weekends; I didn't see a single customer there. Maybe it was too late in the evening; I didn't go to Patpong 2 earlier than 10PM. One of Fresh Boys barkers were quite cute so I decided to have a quick beer at Red Dragon one night (before going upstairs) and we had a few words (I can't remember his nationality) but it felt a bit awkward being the only person in an "open" bar like this (not even a bartender behind the small bar) so I moved quickly on. I found the Hotmale Bar (outside) quite entertaining. Some customers there and the waiters quite talkative/attentive (but way too small/twinky to me except for 1 rather outgoing tall/larger guy; English well spoken - again, I forgot his nationality).1 point

Just so! Seems like 90+ percent of the comments on weight issues have to do with food and very little with burning off what we eat through physical activity. As far as I know, they're two sides of the same coin and I wonder why we don't talk more about ramping up exercise instead of cutting down on what we eat. Maybe it has to do with time commitments. It would take me less than a minute to avoid that Big Mac, medium fries and medium Coke. But, if I ate it, it might take me three hours and ten miles to walk it off. That's if I burned 100 calories a mile, which I think is about average. But I don't think it would take that long in practice. Every few months, I go to A&W on a Tuesday when the special is two huge Papa Burgers, two orders of fries and two big root beers. I think that's pretty close to two thousand calories and, theoretically, I'd have to walk twenty miles to burn that off. I'm good for two or three miles most days and it seems like the weight falls off in a few days. So, as @AdamSmith says, I think exercise is as fruitful a way to control weight as dieting, which has rarely been successful for me. Even a small amount of dieting makes me feel deprived whereas a modest amount of exercise doesn't. If I do ever diet again, I'd wait till I hit the lottery and indulge my long-held fantasy of a personal chef. As luck would have it, I came across this guy (so to speak) a couple weeks ago. If I could afford him, I could take care of my diet and exercise in one fell swoop. In fact, I'm feeling a bit exercised right now.1 point

There is also medical advice that a walk or two around the block after dinner will help burn up carbs and stop them turning into lipids that settle into the cardiovascular system.1 point

It seems pretty clear to me that these things only apply to flights originating in the "Disease Infected Zone": Further to @macaroni21's comment about "another example of over-reaction by officials without thinking things through", the requirement marked in red is another such item. Such a certificate is impossible to issue, or if issued, it can't be relied. on. Who is supposed to determine someone "has no risk of covid-19"? Any GP? Or just hospitals? And how? And when, like on the day of departure? Or a day before? Or two? The passenger might be free of the virus in the morning (or two days prior), get the certificate, then catch it somewhere between then and boarding the aircraft. It's just not possible. It's not like the certificates needed for some types of visa that the person doesn't have stage 3 Syphilis or Leprosy, or Elephantiasis, where a negative certification is possible. Silly, Source of quote: https://www.tatnews.org/2020/03/tat-update-notification-of-the-civil-aviation-authority-of-thailand-on-covid-19-control-measures/1 point

Reluctantly my vote went for cancelling. Numazu has wide and ongoing experience of Bangkok. As I understand his post, he wanted to show his BF Bangkok and participate in Songkran and GCircuit. Well, the GCircuit is not happening, Songkran will be tempered if not closed down as the date draws near to reduce chances of exposure to the virus. So the Bangkok expereince might be a disappointment to Numazu and leave his BF wondering what all the fuss was about. Another concern based on my own planning for a visit is that I cancelled my February trip, have planned a visit in late May instead...BUT am finding that flyng from the wet coast of the US creates complicated travel planning which is subject to alteration by the airlines. I have an internal trip in the US in April flying from SFO to Washington DC booked on United (whose miles Numazu is using for his trip). At least once a week, United informs me that my flights have been changed to another time /airport. When I look for a booking for the May / June period almost every flight involves flying though Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, or Taiwan. Each of which might raise an eyebrow or two at immigration in Bangkok, not to mention in the US when I return. I have, I suppose, the option of flying to the east coast of the US and flying via the Middle East or taking Singapore airlines or Qantas...all these options add extra hours which Hank75 points out means more time cooped up with the paranoid sanitizing seats, tray tables, screens, and one another. It's a quandary... I know I'll get back to Thailand but don't know when, just that I will. I also know that Numazu will go back to Thailand, but for his BF, well the full-on Numazu in Thailand experience is something to behold...but next month all of the piece may not be there. Numazu, let me/us know what you decide. If it is a "go", I'd be interested in the routing.1 point

This is the key takeaway for me. When the Tourism Authority recommends you reconsider you’re trip, a prudent traveler might well take heed. Give them an “A” for not mincing words. I’ve seen many events that have engendered outright panic among investors and the public at large but few approaching this level. I’m reminded of the advice of legendary investor Warren Buffett: buy when others are fearful, sell when others are greedy.1 point

Very valuable observation. I dislike very much of Cruz’s policy positions, but I absolutely respect his personal integrity. Rehnquist, whose beliefs I likewise largely abhor, would not have taken C. as a clerk if in a factual sense C. was not ’sober as a judge.’ Funny how these 2 competing things can go together.1 point

I've lost more than 120 lbs and am in the best shape of my life. Exercise and diet. It's just hard work that you decide gives you enough reward that you do it. But, I do have the luxury of time since I retired to do the work. Losing the stress of a job that paid very well but that I annoyed me helped a fair bit too.1 point

Ditto. Age 59, inserting 5 miles/day of very pleasant outdoor walking into the routine has taken me (5’11”) from 185 lb to 165 in slightly under a year. And reduced the appetite in the process. Keep walking!1 point

At the 12 month anniversary of my surgery, I have lost 175 pounds. I feel healthier than ever and now have more energy and power. I took a trip to the ancient city last week and felt it was the best I have made ever. Spending time with family at Xmas I have also found that I have more energy and can do more with them. The one-year milestone was a big one for me. I hope I can continue to sustain this for another few years.1 point
