    ToyBoys

I’m in Pattaya just now - arrived yesterday pm I intend to check out Toyboys tonight. Last night I visited Winner Boys in Sunee, not intending to off due to being rather jaded and tired after 24 hours “on the road”. On my arrival early at 8.15 about 10 boys were on the stage, wearing a variety of underwear and some, with bare feet. Several wore speedos type briefs and I picked one boy with very fetching stripey ones revealing nice buttocks and an impressive bulge in front. He was a 19 year old twink, the type I like, but was not responsive to my attempts to initiate some basic conversation,. I left the Gogo after tipping him to have a walk around to acquaint myself with some Pattaya landscape having not been in town for 6 months and planning to return alone to the hotel for a good sleep. There seems to be a lot of excavation of roads to install much needed higher capacity drains which no doubt causes even more horrible traffic congestion. however I changed my mind and went back to Winner to find only six boys in circulation and a couple sat with customers. On an impulse I offed the stripey boy, who had surprisingly not been taken, and went two-up on a motor bike to the hotel. His performance in bed was good so sex wise my trip has got off to a good start. But his quietness and lack of verbal responsiveness was a little unnerving as was his frequent consulting of his phone. So I paid him the ST rate and had an excellent sleep, which was the sensible course of action in retrospect.

  2. thanks. useful info. a couple of thoughts. 1. The comparison site finder.com says it's "independent" but then acknowledges that it's paid by advertisers and on referrals, and then if you go to XE.com from Finder, there's a screen that says you are going to XE the "partner." And there do seem to be prominent XE.com ads on the Finder.com website. Also, there's an "article" on the Finder.com site that basically says XE is just better than Transferwise, which is a tad bit suspicious to me. https://www.finder.com/xe-vs-transferwise Maybe it's true, but I wonder if there might be a deliberate bias in the Finder.com site. Just a thought. 2. When I compared the overall fee that Finder.com was saying Transferwise would impose it was higher (by roughly a paltry $6.00.) than the overall fees that Transferwise itself was actually quoting me at that time. And the comparison site didn't use the then-current Transferwise exchange rate - they used a slightly worse exchange rate than Transferwise was offering. So it's not like it's a real-time accurate comparison site. hmmmm Transferwise Finder 3. The folks at Transferwise have an article out XE (so there!) and they don't come down and say one is better than the other, but they point out that XE uses the SWIFT network and banks along that chain of transfers can all take a bite out, so the amount you are quoted to receive by XE is not guaranteed to be the amount you actually will receive. XE tells you there may be charges along the way and that's not their problem. https://transferwise.com/gb/blog/xe-money-transfer [It's funny because I find the Transferwise "article" more trustworthy because doesn't quite come down so hard on the competition. It will be interesting to see if there are any of those little charges on your transfer. I certainly hope there aren't any. (You do read about people transferring from the U.S. to a Thai bank and if it goes through an intermediary bank that intermediary bank(s) may all impose a fee.). Bangkok Bank imposes a fee of .25% on incoming transfers, but it maxes out 500baht so not a huge deal, but those sorts of things are hidden costs, or potential hidden costs, that Transferwise doesn't have. So I think comparison shopping is definitely the way to go, but I guess I am a little dubious Finder.com so I would still go the actual transfer co to make sure I am getting an actual quote for comparison purposes and, personally, I would ding XE (or other SWIFT co's) for saying "there still might be other charges."

    Trip Report - Sept/Oct 2019

So when I went to Thailand earlier this year in April I thought I wouldn't be back until next year. But then I went in Sept/Oct. When I was there in Sept/Oct I thought that trip would be my final trip of the year. Until I booked flights and accommodation this week. So I will be back in Thailand for the 3rd time this year for a couple of weeks in December (indulgent much?) spending some time in Bangkok and Pattaya (Jomtien).. I'm super excited!

  4. Thanks, everyone, for sharing and your advice, especially Anddy's tip about getting fresh notes at Superrich. I knew this would be a good community to reach out to for information. BTW, I need to apologise for putting this into the Gay Thailand forum; I've only just (like 2 minutes ago) noticed that there is a Gay Cambodia forum! Doesn't seem to be as active, though.

    Bangkok's suburb gay scene?

And whithin the radius you mention, this is also about the one and only place recognised to have a (indeed quite lively) gay scene. On the other side of the waters, HuaHin might qualify, but its a litle over the 2 hr tr.time. had to look where that Suk Tha would be (Tha=pier, but may also mean other things in Thai), and (as i think to know BKK pretty well) its of course not INside BKK, but in/near bang Phu (=crab village), in Samut Prakarn provine (also known as Pak nam) which is since the latest extension of BTS not that far from the outer end there. Buses have gone-songhthaew or taximeter or maybe a van for last end, beyond ''little Thailand'' and also (offside) the croc-farm, both main goal for large tourist coaches. Just for short, as about anywhere in ''rural'' TH by now: the ''scene'' is on various apps on the Mobuy, as every Thai has on average 1,8 of such things. read the blog of christianpfc for an enormous long list of tips and experiences with that to gain contacts with willing young Thai men.

    Bangkok's suburb gay scene?

for sure he heard but sometimes we need some encouragement to go somewhere , even if well known. Look at me , I like muscle guys but it was only 8th trip when I went to Tawan. And the 9th when I went to Pattaya for a first time. In 20 visits I still did not cross DJ Station, GOD nor Babylon doors and still feel uneasy going to soi 4. On another hand I know few Pattaya regulars who visited Bangkok scene last time during Clinton presidency before Lewinsky hotel in Pattayaland got it's present name.

    Gay Pride Taiwan today

it was a big event for sure. The parade took 3 hours to pass my location from start to finish. One of the interesting parts for someone used to more organized Western Pride events where you have groups marching that represent various groups, teams, businesses, etc is that Taipei Pride's parade is much less organized. It seems to be lots more couples and groups of friends. Despite the weather (quite warm) there seemed to be many fewer guys in their underwear (or less). Maybe it's growing up? :-) But it was still fun. It seemed like every gay in Asia was there

  11. I just went there last year and in most places, they are still accepting both currency. Given than riel can only be used in cambodia, probably best to use all the riel whenever u have them. 1usd equals 4k riel is the rate and its fixed so i guess there is no advantages in using either except that riel can only be used there. I didnt use money changer there, since i brought enough usd. If u gave big denomination of usd, most likely, you will receive returns in usd + riel, unless its an even usd in returns, then usually you will get usd. I noticed most of the time, the smaller return usd i got are old and crumpled. While for bigger denomination, somehow they insist it to be crisp or they wont accept. My friend had trouble to use his old and crumpled usd20 that he got from a restaurant there. Most menu price in restaurant are in usd, so does massage places and drinks. Tips asked by guy at gay massage blue hatha also are in usd.
