  1. Shalom y'all! Just landed. Took some plane time to start writing. Some Background. 35yo married + 1. Israeli. This was my 6th trip (and trip report!). My husband has a big exam soon so he asked me to take our 3 yo daughter and go somewhere for the entire Jewish Holidays period (almost a month). Without any hesitation I booked us both a ticket to BKK for 26 days. The first 10 days of my trip was accompanied by a Thai nanny, and the rest was with my parents that decided to join some parts of my trip to spend quality time with their grand daughter. The trip was devided to 7 legs and so will this trip report. I scheduled it so we'll be in fun to party places during weekends (Bangkok, Singapore) and the mid week we went to places where it doesn't matter that much if you come on weekends or not (Pattaya, Chiang Mai). Since this trip was relatively long, and most of my time was spent at kids stuff with my daughter, this report will not be a detailed one. I'll try to stay focused on things that will be of interest to this forum. Take into consideration that my trip was about 70% child play and 30% dad's play haha. The report will focus on dad's play. Leg 1 - BKK weekend - Engines on TLV-BKK 11h flight went easy considering the fact that it was just me, 3yo girl and a fair amount of carry on luggage. The fact that I won the bid for upgrade to buisness class sure helped LOL. Suvarnabhumi Fast Track - after getting recommendations from forum members, I ordered Fasttrack, golf car, porter and a car with a child seat. 14 minutes from airplane gate to the car!! It was not cheap (4800 THB) but very helpful for a dad in need. Upon arrival, met the nanny which we already knew from our previous trip. Hotel review - Somerset Park Suan Plu - 3BR apartment (220 USD per night): This place was conveniently located a 3 minute short walk from Prince. When traveling with family, the concept of serviced apartments is my preferred. Apartment was all I could ask for: big, clean and each room had a lock haha. Breakfast was medium. Will return. I decided that first day of my trip will be dedicated to commercial sex and the days after will be dedicated to non commercial sex. Prince #1 - My goal with fasttrack was to arrive to the hotel at 4PM so my daughter will nap immediately upon arrival. I've become an expert in adjusting her naps to my needs haha. So it was no more then 15 minutes upon arrival that I was already at Prince after checking in, greeting the nanny and putting my daughter to sleep. Guys on display were nice as always. I saw the guy I was with last time, who is nicked Cha. For some reason, this guy seemed to be actively avoiding eye contact with me. At a certain point he actually stood behind someone and appeared hiding. He was of course the hottest guy there that afternoon. And by hot I mean shredded muscle. Retroactively thinking, I'm not sure why I chose him knowingly that he is avoiding me. But that is exactly what I did. I don't come to Prince to get massaged so can't comment on that. But his service was even better than our previous time. And by service I mean getting fucking him while he flexes. And also the prefuck teasing. All was so good I have really no idea why he was avoiding me. But I am sure he was. Left that place very happy and satisfied. I will see Cha a week later at XXO party. He looked at me and said "you look familiar". I told yes, I know. He then said "from the gym, right?". The whole situation was so weird I told him no and just smiled and went on. I then found his Grindr and IG. He states there specifically that he is not a MB. I contemplated the thought of sending him a massage and talk but that stayed only a thought. Anyways, Prince was a great start. Tawan #1 - after my daughter woke up, we went to Asiatique market for a pleasant evening. Recommended. I Put her to sleep at 22 with the goal of making it on time to Tawan. Arrived at Tawan 22:30 and finally met this forums superstar massage reviewer, DivineMadame. We had a nice conversation and inspection of guys. We both appreciated the looks of one guy in particular over there. He definitely seemed like a superstar and got his share of attention and tips from the crowd. When the show ended, encouraged by DivineMadame, I went to say hi. I ask for his name, of which he replied Tiger. 15 minutes later we were at my room. I didn't expect much from that guy cause I thought he was more eye candy than bed candy but he was mind blowing at what I needed from him. Which was a intense and intimate muscleworship session. The next day I took my daughter to the weekend market. An exhausting and nice place. When it was time for her nap, it was time to go to Babylon (#1). Until that point, Babylon never failed me. Nor it did this time. Had a taste of the local buffet of Asian crowd and some white guys too. I really like that place. After some more quality time with my daughter, it was bed time for her and play time for me. Had a sex night with someone I met on Grindr (#1) during my previous trip. This guy wanted to film our action. I only agreed to do that with my phone so we did that, then watched, then played more. It was a great night. Came back way to late considering the fact that at 8AM my daughter will wake me up. Next day, after some more exploration of Bangkok's children's play spaces, it was dads play time at Babylon (#2). This was the first time Babylon failed me. Don't know why. Maybe I was too tired, maybe just bad karma, maybe after a while I got too picky. But after about 2 hours I decided that I need to face the fact that no fun will probably happen here. So I left Babylon unorgasemed for the first time and to date also the last time. At the evening I took my daughter to the Cat Cafe. It was a nice experience although I think the cats were way too friendly and probably drugged. After putting her to sleep I had some time to kill before my Grindr hookup so I went to Banana boys and the show and guys has improved since the previous time I was there. Grindr hookup #2 - I started working BKK Grindr a week before arriving with FAKEGPS. A week before arriving I just started talking to ALL the hot guys there. One guy, I actually talked to several times before but it didn't work out till this trip. He unsurprisingly works in the fitness industry. This time he was more eager to meet. We met for drinks at Silom. I then realized that this guy, as hot as he was, had serious issues of low self esteem. I usually find it tiring cause then I need to invest energy in making him feel desired and hot. So, I play along cause I have a goal of bringing him to my room. An hour later we are in my room. He still needs a lot of me ensuring him that he is good enough for me which is a little turn off for me. But I was really into fucking that guy so out of 3 hours meeting, one hour was probably dedicated on sweet talking him to bed. But it was worth it cause that guy did everything I wanted in bed. He also had a very clear OCD which made him very sensitive to his cleanliness. But he softened with time. All and all it was a great night. 3AM, 20 mins after he left, my daughter woke from a nightmare. I was very happy that it did not happen earlier. I did not want her exposed to the other side of this trip. After about 4 hours of sleep my daughter woke me up, and we started packing and getting ready for our next leg - Pattaya!

  2. There's a whole exhaustive /-ing thread on how to navigate trips and/or the "boyfriend experience." https://www.gayguides.com/forums/topic/11328-travelling-with-gogo-boy. [Note - the link to this discussion in the so-called "timeless" section is not correct.] Personally, I have great luck traveling and spending time with my guy-of-the-moment. I encourage people to try it if they think they might enjoy it. It may not be for everyone - and not everyone is right for it - but it can be a wonderful experience. I was probably lucky my first few times and now I might even have learned a bit more and it all works for me and, so far, for my companions. I think that real-time communication is the first most important, second most important and third most important thing to making it work. Also - and I'll confess this was a bit of a revelation to me - communication problems are not 50-50 (duh). Each of us is 100% responsible for communication if it's about something that we care about. If you see something you don't like, say something. Be clear, be double clear, confirm the mutual understanding. And raise issues quickly. Don't let things fester (a particular sin of mine). Your guy will 99.9% of the time adapt if you're being fair. I think that some (or many) working guys do indeed think that one part of the "boyfriend experience" absolutely is shopping. It is very common and happens every day (at least here in Bangkok). And it happened in the OP's situation. I don't like shopping for myself, much less someone else but following my own "communication-communication-communication" rule I let any guy with me know I don't do shopping. Any of these up-close-and-personal experiences in close quarters over anything longer than a short time are bound to be a bit bumpy, because flawed human beings with all their expectations, issues and anxieties, etc. are involved. And there may be things going in a guy's life that might make him shy, distracted, upset about something that may, or may not, have anything to do with you. Or maybe that gentle tease actually got taken the wrong way. We don't know. There's actual science (!) out there that says that we human beings are terrible at our judgments about other people's motives. Almost comically, we assign bad motives to people (other than those in our "in" group). So now I try to avoid that sort of thinking, or at least be aware of the pitfalls - "he must have done this because..." and just stick to the facts and try be more about understanding and less about vilifying, particularly when I'm dealing with someone who is a less than half my age. But if it's not working out, best to pull the plug. OP handled it well. Looking forward to the next installment.

  3. Hi all. A bit of a trip report from my latest trip to Bangkok. It's not really that chock-a-block full of sexual escapades but hopefully there will be some interest! So a little back story - I went to Pattaya back in April and met a guy at Royal House whom I had a good time with. Let's call him J. So we kept in contact via line and I invited him to stay with me on my next trip to Bangkok (as he was now living in Bangkok). He was pretty excited, and often sent messages 'I can't wait to see you' etc. I on the other hand was a little trepidatious as my experience of Thai guys is limited to "massages" mainly, and in my home country I'm pretty introverted and prefer to be by myself most of the time, so inviting someone to stay with me was something quite different for me. But I just thought 'fuck it', I need to open up to new experiences and just see how it goes (which it didn't really).. read on to find out! Day 1: travelled from my home country to Singapore for a 6 hour stopover (love Changi Airport) around the hours of 2:30am - 8:30am. There's surprisingly still a lot to do there at stupid o'clock. I messaged J to let him know when I would be arriving and he said he would meet me at the airport, I said he didn't have to but he insisted. Landed at Suvarnabhumi at about 9:50am, immigration took ages, but my suitcase was already at the carousel as I got out. As I exited into the arrivals area, no sign of J, sent him a message and made my way down to the basement to exchange some money. I didn't know whether or not to wait, so I just waited a little bit and he messaged back saying that he was asleep. No problem, so I said that I would meet him later as I wanted to rest first. Took the airport link and BTS to Chong Nonsi where my hotel was - I Residence Silom. The hotel was okay, I probably wouldn't stay there again. It was a little run down and rough around the edges, and the bathroom was small, but they are doing some renovations and there are some newer rooms. Bit confusing at times are there are 3 different buildings that are not connected, but I think some of the floors are. Finding the breakfast room and the rooftop pool was a bit of an adventure, but I got there in the end. But the staff were really nice, location was really good (right outside the BTS Chong Nonsi), and sooo many places to eat nearby (restaurants, street food, etc), as well as a 7/11, King Power Mahanakhon across the road (which I will get to later), and Baantewa and Arena are walking distance. Getting to the Silom area is walkable or a very short train ride. Ate lunch at Lon Lon (very nice), and met J a little later in the evening. We met at Siam Paragon, had a bit of a wander, looked for something to eat, he wanted to eat at a Japanese seafood buffet for 1000 baht per person, I said no and told him I am not a rich farang, and ended up eating at Boon Tong Kee, which is a restaurant that I've eaten at in Singapore. Took the BTS back to my hotel, and this is where things started to become weird. So as soon as we got in, he was literally stuck to his phone. Like, I will admit that I spend a lot of time on my phone as well, but this just took the cake. I was in the bed, and he eventually came to bed (still on the phone) and I had to snuggle up to him to get 'things' started. It just felt like that spark that we had a few months ago wasn't there. I'm a pretty realistic person, I'm not expecting him to spend every waking moment with me, but at least put your phone down when I'm snuggling up to you and maybe give me a bit of attention? Anyway, after we finished I went to sleep because I was pretty tired, and he slept sometime later. Day 2: Shortly after waking, snuggled up to him, surprise surprise he was on his phone, but we got 'started' after I literally started jerking myself off, he got the picture. I respect these guys, they are people too, so I don't want to force him to do anything that he doesn't want to do, but then what do I get? Why are you even here? So anyway, today we took the BTS up to chatuchak market and wandered around for a few hours. Love this place, it's so big! I bought few clothes for myself, and I bought J some clothes as well, as well as lunch. Throughout the day I was thinking to myself, I don't want to spend the rest of the week with him, how am I going to break it to him gently. So we took the BTS back (him still on the phone, and nearly missed getting off the train as he was too engrossed with whatever he was playing), and when we got to the room he told me that he wanted to go back to his room to change clothes and get his ID, so I took the opportunity and told him that I wanted to spend a few days by myself and I would message him in a few days. He was okay with it, asked for 1000 baht to send to his mum, so I gave him 2000 baht because at this stage I wasn't sure it I was going to see him again. After he left I just felt kinda free. But I did think about it, what could I have done to make the situation better? Should I have spoilt him more? Should I have not smoked around him? Should I have just communicated better and let him know what I wanted? or was he just a dud? I don't know.. anyway, I wasn't upset or anything, just chalking it down to experience, and I'll do better next time. J did end up calling a little later asking if I was okay, and I said yes and just explained that I am not used to having someone with me all the time (I didn't tell him the real reason). A little later I went out to Silom Complex and ate at Bon Chon (really good fried chicken), bought some of those face masks that lots of Thais are wearing these days, and went across the road for a foot massage at Rapee. 250 baht and 200 baht tip because it was quite good. At the end he even did a bit of an arm, neck, back, and head massage, and even cracked my back, which I always think is hilarious for some reason when I hear all the popping noises. Day 3: to come soon!

    Trip Report - Sept/Oct 2019

Definitely chemistry is important. My first time being with a boy was in my country, so no way out if things goes awry. But ive had him on LT for 5 times before, so not much mystery between us before the trip. Of course the advice (most of them in the timeless forum) helps a lot too. I also know he has travelled with other customers befoee as well, and saw him shares the diiferent type of dishes he enjoys to eat, so i know he is used to travelling and not a picky eater. The only mystery is how is his tolerance being next to me 24/7 lol. Most of the places we go, things we do, shopping we do are my idea and i asked if he would like it as well, which most of the time he says up to you hehe. I also learned a lot about myself during the trip since its my first time travelling with someone of this nature of relationship lol. For eating, i only eat at an upscaled place once, a japanese restaurant and he was about to order expensive sashimi but he always show it to me first asking my opinion. I show him an alternative, since i also wanted to order few more dishes to share and he oblige. So yes, being upfront and forward works. I still end up spending the same price of what he wouldve ordered but instead of him getting one expensive dish, we get multiple equally or even better tasted dishes to share between us two. Shopping was done on the last day, not the first day like OP, more like a reward for him being a good company. And even then, he waited for me to suggest what shop/items/price he can choose. He is also aware of the prices of the items compared to bangkok price and says its often cheaper here. Nothing beats having a quasi boyfriend all the time where u can have access to his hand, body, thigh, chest (and more in the room) anytime of the day when u feel horny haha. So id repeat it definitely but only if chemistry was there and ive at least done LT few times with him already, during which we already learned whats each other likes and dislikes.

  5. I'm the same, it's all about the smile. When at Moonlight with @vinapu, @paulsf, @18past19, @CTCI8F I had ZERO intention to off anyone. As soon as I took my seat by the shower stall, noticed some boys lingering in the corner behind us, one of which with cute-boy-looks caught my attention. Then his warm smile - SOLD! So easy for the boys to off me haha

  6. is this your first time in either country? Just asking... For Thailand you get lots of info here, for PH let me just make a few comments: - Manila is an ugly mess, as has been said before - Boracay is gorgeous, though on my last visit in Jan 2018 it was so incredibly overcrowded, it wasn't funny. One may think of their president what one wants, but on the issue of Boracay and his drastic measure to close the entire island for 6 months, I fully support that. Now, after the reopening, it should be back to it's beautiful former self. TIP: the more quiet, and more gay area on White Beach is in the southern section, aka "station 3". Sepcial TIP: go even further to the south, past the rocks, and you will find several small, beautiful sandy coves with usually no people at all. It was like that even in Jan 2018 when otherwise everything was overflowing. It is (or used to be) somewhat of a secret gay spot, too. - El Nido is (or was?) incredibly beautiful and was rather quiet when I was there in 2012. Not sure how it is now, so would be interested in uour update. What is the mode of transport there these days? Back then, the only "official" way was by 8 or 10 hour jeepney trip from Puerto Princessa, which compounded it's remoteness and thus it's quietness. But then there was also a somewhat secret, private small plane service directly from Manila, which I took. Things may have changed.... Seems your PH trip is indeed hi-jacking this trip report thread, maybe open a new one for the purpose? But then the report is finished already, so not too much damage done

  7. Loving all of your replies to my original post! Will reply soon, but in the meantime.. Day 3: One of the places that I wanted to visit whilst I was in Bangkok was the new IconSiam, so I decided today would be the day for it. Caught the BTS to Saphan Taksin, and hopped on the free IconSiam river shuttle. The trip didn't take long at all and it was a nice boat ride on the river. Arrived and was quite impressed at how massive it was. The first time I went to Siam Paragon I thought that was pretty impressive, but this place just takes the cake. I always marvel at how they get the cars into the dealerships on the upper floors. Wandered around for a while, exploring each floor, before having some lunch at a Korean restaurant near the top floor. I remember in one of @vinapu's trip reports he mentioned an outside terrace outside the apple store, so after finding the apple store, walked through it and went outside and it was quite a nice view of the river and the city. I really do like a nice view. Continued to wander around and bought some clothes for myself that were on sale (also saw maybe a couple of you guys shopping with your Thai boyfriends), eventually got bored so I got the river shuttle back to Saphan Taksin, got on the BTS, somehow managed to go in the wrong direction, got off the train and on another and went to Sala Daeng because my feet hurt and I wanted another foot massage. I was going to go back to Rapee but I walked up and down the street and it was like it disappeared because I couldn't find it. Maybe I was just being blind or not looking hard enough, but anyway, I kept on walking down and came across Nakarat and just as well because the guys outside were quite nice looking. I ended up getting a 1 hour foot massage with the guy who accosted me (his name was bee I think). Walked up the million steps to the 3rd floor, and it was quite nice as I was the only one in the foot massage area. It was mid-afternoon after all. I did see a few guys come in and out. The foot massage was really good, he was quite strong, massage was 250 baht, paid the lady at the counter with a 500 and gave bee the change. I told him I would come back (but turns out that I didn't unfortunately). Couldn't be bothered walking back so I took the BTS to the next stop to Chong Nonsi to my hotel. Later in the evening I walked down the street and ate some kale and crispy pork at some random restaurant, after which I felt tired so I didn't bother going out. Day 4: Today I went across the road to King Power Mahanakhon and omg it was amazing. So I paid 689 baht entry fee (apparently cheaper on weekdays, and I saw some cheaper online promotions too), found out I couldn't bring my bottle of water up (bear that in mind for if you visit), went through the X-ray and into an elevator which was super fast and displayed some nice projections on the walls as it was going up. Off the elevator at the 74th floor which was the 360-degree indoor observation area which you could see all of Bangkok from every window. Every time I went to a different window it was like I was looking at something new. Before going up to the 78th floor, the staff gave me some cloth covers to put over my shoes, and a soft bag to put my bag in. Can't remember if I went up the stairs or the lift at the 78th floor, but when I got there, wow. The view was spectacular. Spent a lot of time just looking out at Bangkok. Eventually made it to the glass panel (once the crowd died down a little), and it was so cool. Since I went there by myself, I was a little worried about where I would leave my belongings as they don't provide any lockers or anything, but the soft blue bag that they gave me I could take onto the glass. I had one of the staff members take some photos of me. Just looking down 78 floors below was really something. I would've stayed on the glass a bit longer, but everyone had to get off as they needed to clean the glass. Highly recommended experience. When I left Mahanakhon I walked to Baantewa. I had a really good experience when I visited 3 years ago, so I was hoping for another good time. When I got there I had to go up the stairs (unlike when I visited 3 years ago I just went in the front door), and there were only 2 guys available. They were both cute so I just randomly selected one, and off we went. Showered alone at first, and the massage was okay. His clothes eventually came off, but afters was just a handjob. Last time I was offered the full service, but not today so it seems. Yeah I'm sure I could've communicated better what I wanted, but as I mentioned before, I just kinda go with the flow and see what happens. I mean, a handjob is better than no handjob I guess! Paid the 700 baht for the massage, and the 1000 minimum tip. Had a meal at Alphabet Cafe and Bar near my hotel, and later on another meal at Beef and Shake (also near my hotel). Didn't venture out again (as I was tired.. this becomes a pattern..)

  9. Based on his encounter and the question, he is probably thought OP is someone he knew from outside, and fear of his status as sex worker being exposed. Hence he is trying hiding from being recognized by OP? When he asked u look familiar, he might think maybe they had sex before and he like his real life not mixed with his working life? Just a theory hehe

  10. Absolutely agree. I do agree, and I will admit that this is probably an area I could probably improve upon just so that we are on the same page really. I mean, yeah sometimes the stars align and things can happen organically, but communication definitely is important too. Yes! It was only my 3rd trip to Thailand, so I feel as though I'm slightly inexperienced with all of this, but I am learning a lot from you guys here in the forum! I'm just exploring what is not as easily accessible in my home country, and just want to have a good time, you know? Thailand is beautiful and I do want to come back soon. More to come soon.

  11. I am a BIG FAN of the Philippines!! So many beautiful places to visit. And the Guys there are wonderful!! However, it is correct that the Bars and Massage Places are nothing like Thailand. Use PlanetRomeo and Whatsup to meet guys. I avoid Manila. It is too big and too congested. Takes 2 hours just to get across the City from Malate to Makita. Instead go to Cebu City. It is in the south and more relaxed. And it is a good hopping off place for Adventures; like hiking to the waterfalls, swimming with the whale sharks, mountaineering in the canyons, or just lying on the beach. I will not turn you trip report into a Travel Ad for the Philippines. Just send me a PM if you want to ask any questions. GWMinUS

  12. The boy told you how excited he is to see you and will meet you at the airport but then came 2 warning signs : 1.He didn't come to meet you at the airport and sent you a message that he is sleeping ! 2. Once arrive to the room he preferred to communicate with his phone rather with you. It's clear signs that he isn't into you at all but don't mind to go for it for the money if I were you once he massaged that he preferres to sleep rather to meet at the airport I would massage him back that he doesn't have to bother to come at all and cancel the whole deal with him . As I advised on other topics 24/7 a day with a boy is usually not a good experience unless you have great chemistry between you two I like to wake up early eat breakfast and then go the beach /pool/ shopping or other activities but most of the boys prefer to sleep long hours till late and are very lazy sometimes I have the filling that they want as much money as they can extract from you and do as much little as they can once they're with you so on my upcoming trip no more 24/7 without a boy only ST or LT "till breakfast" as Vinapu suggested.

  14. Are we really talking about falling in love? Or are we actually talking about crushes? If we are talking about falling in love, I am sure there are many different explanations in different circumstances, but I think we all agree it is just not wise. If we are talking about crushes, don’t you think all crashes are probably doomed to end badly? I may be wrong, but I bet you the rate of relationships based on a crush going to hell is similar with ow without a transaction is involved.

  15. I will arrive in Rio next Friday(10/25) will be there for a week and then head to São Paulo! i will not be going to Porto Alegre this trip, but will on my next trip. I will be staying at the apt in Ipanema which i have been renting for almost 9 years! it is literally across the street from the General Orsorio Metro station in Ipanema and 2 blocks from the gay beach at Posto 9. This trip 2 of the guys from SP asked if they could come up to Rio for 4 days. So they will be my bunk mates and in the late afternoon they will go meet friends at the beach and I will meet friends at the sauna, and we will reconvene around 10:00 or so to meet up for dinner! Since both they and me have been to Rio many times we won’t been doing any tourist things with the possible exception of Hang gliding which i really like doing there! On friday November 1st i am going to SP for 4 days and meeting 4 guys there and plan on going to Lagoa before it closes at that location.

    Trip Report - Sept/Oct 2019

I don't think you made any wrong with the boy as Vinapu advised it didn't work with him and it was better to cut it off fast . Chemistry is not something you can improve it's just an outcome with a certain boy sometimes there is a chemistry but usually not because 24/7 with a boy based solely on money without a real chemistry can not work unless the boy is very professional and experienced with such situations as spoon described his experience. From my experience in Thailand most of the boys do ST only, some will agree to LT overnight only and only very few will do 24/7 more than one night the ones who agree to are because : 1. He really likes you and have expcatations for more serious relationship. 2. The boy is desperate for money and will do everything to secure more money than he can do on ST. 3. The boy wants take a break from the bar / his job so long paid vacation with a client is appealing to him. 4. The client is very rich so the boy will jump on the opportunity to make LT with healthy client. 5. The boy is very experienced and professional and knows how to behave 24/7 with a client and extract the benefits of this situation.

  17. and of course a comment on vinapu's (as always) fun and engaging report: it was great to be able to meet and catch up after the missed opportunity in August. It sure felt like he was just on a regular trip, one could hardly feel that there were "other activities" involved at all.... Great pleasure meeting @CTCI8F, @GoldMember, Tiger and the pizza at Madrid, thanks to vinapu's introductions .... except when it comes to pizza at Madrid

  18. 1. try to avoid making such commitments as next time you will be walking by guy may expect that you keep your word 2. climbing all those stairs was probably more strenuous than just walking to your hotel , no wonder you have foot problem with lack of exercise 3. that's cardinal sin, not bothering to go out . Where's bother ? two days in row - you become serial sinner, watch out !

  21. all that messaging back and forth seems to do more harm than good as it gives an opportunity for excuses and huge wastage of time. I tell them be here at that time and it seems to be working very well. Few times they missed their time I was gone and found new opportunities ie. my money went somewhere else. I know lesson was learned. I'd take that absence as warning sign but still would give him a chance but whole phone thing showed clearly he is not interested and I'd cut it out very fast, but as OP noticed , lesson learned

  23. I have said this here many times before: My 3 deepest friends on earth (besides my beloved mama) are guys I first met by hiring them. We each found personally very much in common. After fairly many years of hiring, each said simply, ‘No more $. I am jusr your friend.’ Some of us then lived in different cities, spent $ to travel to be together,. To this day we love each other without reservation. What is so difficult about that simple human connection?

Turns out he is driving Uber when he gets off his regular job and said he could pick me up lo at the airport and since i am getting in at 8:30 and he doesn’t start work until 1:00 we would have plenty of time to have fun! It took about a milasecond to agree!

    Trip Report - Sept/Oct 2019

It's really depends on the chemistry between you two. I once met a boy in Phuket we had great experience together so I took him with me to Pattaya for the last week of my vacation we had a lot of fun on the other side on other vacation I met beutiful boy in Pattaya we agreed that he will stay with me the whole vacation as he suggested and I bought flight ticket to Phuket for him but he turned to be capricious spoiled and lazy we had big fight and decided to cancelled the deal with him and didn't took him with me to Phuket gave him his fee for the week he had been with me in Pattaya and sent him away. I vowed never to do it again too !

  28. So many guys are frankly delusional. The guy can like you, but that doesn't mean that money isn't the primary motivation in the relationship. I liked a lot of people I worked with. I wouldn't work with them for free.

  31. I had a similar awkward experience when I took a guy I'd met in Phuket to Chiang Mai for a week a couple of months later. Somehow things just didn't click and after a few days I just wanted out. But as we were both away from our home towns, that was impossible. So we had to soldier on not really communicating. I vowed never to do it again, at least not without trying a holiday together in their home town first so at least one of us can escape.

  32. Room at IResidence looks quite nice. Never stay there but passed by it many times on my way from Chong Nonsi to soi 3. Location is superb indeed. Sorry to hear your QBE / quasi boyfriend experience / did not work. But if we don't try we will not know, right? It's one thing to have fabulous 1-2 hours massage or short time but long time is different matter. You right that guy don't need to spent every waking hour with you in such arrangement although in the room I'd say he should be available all the time. Its wise though to give him free time outside hotel. When I took Z from Pattya to BKK in Sept rule imposed on him by me was that during day he is free man but at night time he should be with me in the room ( it did not work quite lie that but we were close catching for lost night time in a broad daylight). Your smoking was likely not reason for his behavior although it's always nice to be considerate. Yes you could communicate better what you expect, it always works as guys are not mind readers and signals we send may be misinterpreted. If you enter room together and and your first moments are spent on the phone instead of on him, that is unmistakably signal that he can do the same - not sure it was a case. Strong prolonged hug, including wandering had here and there ( although not THERE ) it's always first thing i do after door are closed. I get feel of him and he gets reminder what he is here for. No, you did not need to spoil him more , guys are coming with us not to be spoiled , they expect cash compensation and spoilage and gifts are not substitutes for it, just icing on the cake even if very generous. Whole phone thing could be avoided either by communicating clearly he should put it away or if you shy to do it , by placing your hand on the screen so he can see that you don like of what he is doing. Works for me 100 % 1000 and even 2000 for a whole night is not overwhelming tip for BKK standards but if that's what he asked for that's fine. refusing that 1000 / plate buffet was right thing , it would sent wrong signal as to your spending habit and potential. After few good days , yes, but not at the first try In my opinion you did not do anything wrong other that not stopping phone nonsense immediately . As often , memories of first encounter for both of you did not translate into anything exciting after months of absence. One of those cases when we wonder what we saw in that guy at the first place. In future it will most likely happen again with other guys as well. Don't worry about anything , just carry on with burden of fun. If he contacts you looking for another time together if you feel like seeing him forget about malls and restaurants , bring him right to the room and tell him to leave that phone off moment he pulls it from his pocket.. Do the same with yours. If you don't want to see him , just tell him that it's not option for now, don't lie about seeing in few days if you don't have such intention. If he asks why, mention that phone " you like your phone more than me' for example. Have fun and don't forget about us here, we are waiting ...........

I do not really understand. If you are set for one language, you should not hear the other one. If you mean that the English doubling the original sound track is disgusting, there are alternative ways. Listen to the original Spanish sound track and set the subtitles in English. That is how I have enjoyed many movies all my life. I always go for the original soundtrack, and subtitles in English or Spanish. Funny thing, Netflix gives you the option for Latin American Spanish amongst the possible soundtracks. The option only says “Spanish”, but if you pick it for Elite, it will not take you to the original soundtrack. The right option states “Spanish (Spain)”.

  34. I'm gonna go way out on a limb and assume you are not a liberal Democrat. But even if you are a Republican, even your own party is for "soaking the rich" to help the middle class and have nots. I'm gonna go even further out on a limb and assume that despite the great promise of trickle down economics, your bootstraps have not pulled you into the class of the ultra-rich who are worth over $50 million. So the good news is you have nothing to worry about.

  36. Not just Thailand. I know a guy who was moving to Brazil years ago to live with his number 1 and he got down there and the boy wanted to live with him but in a home near his mother in the flavela. Not my style. I mean this guy's style. But, stupidity seems to be rampant around the world. Still, I would have been very happy just waking up to him each day. He was a stunner and I think you would remember him if I found a picture.

    Travel with Bangkok Guy

My Place in Bangkok Guy’s Universe This report has been a while arriving as my connection with Bangkok Guy took a hop, skip and jump, a back step and a glissade toward something more mature. Mature, God. That has taken me a while to process. Within reason and the boundaries of the practical I am going with the flow. The change in his family circumstances added some urgency to his quest for financial security and my invitation to travel with me opened the door to exploring if I might be the answer. ‘You retire soon?’ No. Ah, but you will retire at some point. Let me sell you on the wonders of my home town. ‘My great aunt can sell land in home town. Very beautiful. I farm. When you retire, I look after”. Followed by a large amount of information on the prices of various agricultural products “Can make money”. The price seemed quite modest, so either land is extraordinarily cheap or the plot is quite small. Still, it will need capex to develop, so no point in paying up-front. “Ask your great aunt if she will sell to you over three years. Then you can get it productive and paying for itself”. Bangkok Guy smiles “You businessman”. I do some online research on rural land prices. “How many Rai is land?” Equivalent to one and a half acres it turns out. “That is very small to farm”. “Is enough for me” with a slightly hurt look. I think the full answer is that it is enough land on which to cultivate a Falang boyfriend for the benefit of the family unit. My intuition that Bangkok Guy may, in part, view me as a high yield crop alternative in no way reflects badly on him. I admire his commitment to his family and I think he would be a caring farmer. I am just not quite ready to be kept under cultivation. Bangkok Guy is intelligent and knows how to handle me, or possibly his personality just works with mine. Nothing pushy, more gently humorous nudging. On our outbound holiday flight he takes my passport while I complete the immigration form and points at my surname. Apparently “Bangkok Guy Curtis” has a certain cachet. For several days he develops a slight physical tick, stretching out and admiring the fingers on his left hand, carefully isolating the ring finger. He has beautiful long fingers that curve back like a classical dancer’s. “You have beautiful fingers”. The look in reply strongly suggests I have missed the point. The next day more finger stretching. In reply I stretch mine – “Yes, I have five fingers too, same same. We have a lot in common”. I receive a stare which is part suppressed smile, part “difficult damn Falang” and part a jab in the ribs. Back in Bangkok airspace I tick the income box on the immigration form and receive an approving smile and eyebrow wiggle that is almost a standing ovation. I am under appraisal and shaping up well. Bangkok Guy has several ideas for city businesses and once the mirage of a rural idle is dispensed with these are clearly his preference. He is a city guy. His plan is to get a job in one, learn the ropes and then set up on his own account. I agree to give him an annual allowance which, by coincidence, is about the price of his great aunt’s land. It is a bit more, and then a bit more again, than I would give him if I made a couple of longer trips to Bangkok a year. Although less remunerative than getting me under permanent cultivation in the countryside it gives him some stability. If he shows initiative and makes a go of one of his business ideas, I will help him a bit more. Really, I am shocked at letting myself get drawn in like this. However he is a very nice, decent guy. I like him and the thought of him scrimping and stressed out, No. He has agreed to come with me on another trip. So in a few months I will see how his business plans progress. Possibly even learn a little Thai by the next time we meet. We will see.

  42. Day 14 (BKK – the last night) We didn’t get to sleep until 5am the night before so those Viet paws we’re still in cuddling mode till 1pm then next day. ‘W’ sleeps soundly…especially when he’s in a nice big comfy bed. I woke up a bit earlier and was just messaging pals on my phone and checking Apps whilst he dozed on. ‘S’ the Viet spotted me online in Messenger & started gently enquiring if he could come over but with the bed still occupied by 55Kg of prime snoozing Viet already I thought best to wait and told him honestly…his friend still sleeping, they’re pals and he’d know he was staying overnight so no point in lying to these guys. As a point of fact…I find Viet’s less jealous than their Thai cousins and will almost encourage you to go with their pals in many cases as they see it as helping the wider group…handy for us! Anyway at some point ‘B’ from Hotmale on Day 2 started messaging me too…also wishing to pay a visit to discuss world economic affairs no doubt! I thought better get the day going!! As it’s my last full day in LOS. ‘W’ was stirring so I gently enquired if was hungry…usual sleepy reply ‘little bit’. So half an hour later we were playing around in the shower with me soaping up and admiring his gorgeous butt for what I knew would be the last time for a few months. Sorted ‘W’ out his usual LT (overnight) Tip plus a bit more as last day and went for breakfast to get fuelled up. Got a lovely genuine hug from a very warm / caring boy and then we both went our separate ways. The cleaners in Bandara had kindly tidied away most the evidence of last night’s hanky panky and ‘B’ was clamouring to come over so invite duly issued and about 1 hour later he turned up. Nice couple of hours just chatting and playing around, he really is one very nice affectionate boy too…another lucky find. Has been living in BKK for a few years, but not all jaded by it like some. 2nd time around was definitely better too, these guys definitely give a bit more when they get to know you. We both cleaned up and chatted more on the sofa, then he (ST tip in hand) departed to go meet a pal to settle up some minor debt. By now my phone was vibrating with more messages from ‘S’ who’d woken up…been to the Gym and was feeling horny. S’ came over late afternoon / early evening, known him for about 18 months and my lord the Gym work really is starting to pay off now, has a lean body like an Olympic swimmer, still seemed very happy after his drink with pals the night before. Definitely looking the hottest I’d seen him in some time, tbh on stage in Freshboys 2 when he works always stands out for me. He grumbled quietly that it had been some time since we’d been together so I duly hopped into the shower for the 4th time that day (more to be polite to him) than I actually needed one and when I came out…was greeted by the heavenly sight of ‘S’ stretched out naked on the sofa, showing off his tight wash-board 6 pack and encouraging his man-hood to life, this promptly encouraged mine also for the 2nd time that afternoon so I led him to the bedroom and we had a hour of rediscovering what each other likes. Think again probably one of the best sessions I’d had with him in some time but perhaps his way of saying thank you for the fun the night before. Clearly I need to visit that little bar more often! We cleaned up and he wanted to go get his hair cut & styled before work so gave him usual ST tip plus bit extra for his hair and meds as he was still recovered for a cold few weeks before. I’m probably too soft but hey it made him happy and I got some nice pics of the haircut and a happy smiling ‘S’ afterwards. Napped for a couple of hours then headed for Screwboys around 21:30, none of my regulars around yet so had a drink with a tall good looking Myanmar boy…says he ‘man and 33 years old…but looked 25 tops (amazing)’ but desired to do all sorts of ‘un manly’ things to me. Whilst tempted by his generous offer (a squeeze of his package suggested he could certainly deliver on his promises) I had promised ‘B’ in Luckyboys I’d come see him so around 22:00 I settled up and dispensed some Tips then headed for Lucky. The stage at Lucky was heaving with talent again, still spotting new faces in the guys too…lord if only I had another week I thought…lol. ‘B’ was on stage but I could feel his eye’s tracking me and a flick of the laser pen by mama and he was over and perched next to me looking rather hot as usual, did I say already those black pants really seem to suit the guys in there. Quick chat with ‘B’ to check he’s still good with our arrangement as my last night I’d asked him to stay with me to till the morning when the taxi came. Quick nod of that cute head and he headed off to get changed whilst I settled up, gave Viet mama a double Tip as my last night to which got a big hug and off I headed with ‘B’. We settled on hotmale beer bar so he could relax and I could check out the Soi plus we wanted to go DJ Station later so no point going too far away. Mama Kai spotted me and tried to get me to go into Hotmale to off ‘B’ there, I just ducked in to give him a hug goodbye to be polite and another red note. To be fair B’s been messaging me every other day since I’ve been home so cool guy imho. Downed our drinks and getting near 23:30 decided to head to DJ Station but as we headed down the steps from Hotmale I had an idea and grabbed ‘B’ and headed to Screwboys, just inside the door I called for ‘W’ and he came over smiling but looking confused as saw I had ‘B’ with me, I said you wanna come DJ too and gave him his bar fine…he looked more confused then said ‘oh for mama’ then smiled broadly (no drinks etc as was in a hurry and spur of the moment). Quick nod affirmative and he went to get changed, so about 5-10 mins later the 3 of us headed out along Patpong 2. I’d said to ‘W’ quietly on the way was just an ‘off’ for dancing etc and only ‘B’ would come back…he was happy at the idea of a fun night. DJ was queuing back into the little Soi, once we got in I led the boys upstairs, we just linked hands so they didn’t get lost as threaded our way thru the crowds. Heaving on the Ground floor but bit more space on Level 1 so cashed in half our drink chits and went to the balcony…’W’ had been to DJ before with me so was happily taking it in…but ‘B’ was having a blast and dancing away at the balcony (his first ever visit there). From my other offs / reports you may recall that ‘B’ basically can’t drink much alcohol…I think he started off on Heineken then switched to Bacardi lemon after he saw me drinking one. After that his dancing became wilder…then an hour later was like the Energizer bunny had run out of steam, and he had to sit down. I was keeping half an eye on the boys and flitting to / fro between the Toilets for a quick cruise, escaped the clutches of 2 Thai guys who appeared to want a 3some. Fun night though (few pics), at some point noticed ‘B’ definitely flagging so we called it a night at 01:30 and went to re-fuel at Foodland, even just on the walk to Foodland though ‘B’ was going more down-hill…but I thought just hungry / tired. Dinner was rapidly demolished by my hungry comrades, I was chatting with ‘W’ then looked to my side and ‘B’ was just slumped in his chair dozing off…wtf…he didn’t have THAT much to drink….only 2-3 small beers and 1 breezer. Then the penny dropped as when I was younger we used to mix strong beer with alcho pop’s type drinks like lemon Breezers and make ‘Power Shandy’….basically a damn strong shandy that would get you drunk pretty quick. I think the drinks had mixed on him in his stomach and had same effect, just he was’nt used to it. W pointed out B’s head was getting lower and lower so we settled up swiftly then just managed to get him to his feet, he kinda woke up as we got him up but bleary. I pushed ST tip into ‘W’s back pocket and we headed for the door. A taxi was just coming up that narrow Soi so I stopped it…and we bundled ‘B’ into the back of it. I gave ‘W’ a hug and promised to message him later then jumped in the taxi and headed off. In the taxi ‘B’ suddenly said….’oh W not come back with us’ and I said no…I offed him just for dancing with us, he seemed to pick up a bit at this point then the penny dropped…he must have thought I was trying to organize a 3some with his friend…lol 3some with two pals who know each other …never a good idea in my book and clearly he’d thought so too. Back in the condo he perked up a bit and we laughed about it, bit of rolling around on the sofa then he suggested a shower as was getting tired again. I left him to have a bit of his own space in the shower, he emerged while later towel wrapped around him showing off his glorious pocket muscle twink bod but still red face / shoulders from the drinks but looking better. I gave him a paracetamol to help cool down a bit and left him to chill on the bed whilst I went to freshen up, came out 10 mins later and there’s ‘B’ stretched out on the bed absolutely out like a light. Oh well I’d had enough fun that day so best to let him sleep. Shut the bedroom door gently and went to finish my packing so ready for the taxi. After 30 mins I heard this ‘rasping’ noise coming from the bedroom so ducked back in for a quick…lol was just ‘B’ now gently snoring his head off…oh well no action tonight then!

    Travel with Bangkok Guy

Return to Bangkok, Shopping & Sightseeing After several very relaxing days Bangkok Guy is again enveloping my arm as he sleeps on the plane. We part before immigration and agree to meet quite late to give us both a chance to unpack and run errands and, in my case, an opportunity to visit more of the new bars. First stop is Hot Male where, with a couple of notable exceptions, the guys are a fraction ‘tidied up rough’ for my liking and the host could not be more charming. After explaining that my visit is purely exploratory so no guys this time, this is my first visit since the gay scene’s decampment from Twilight, he becomes an unofficial guide. A whisky in my hand, from the balcony he points out all the other clubs I must visit and gives a little friendly color on what I can expect to find in each, emphasizing that of course, once I have explored, I will want to return to Hot Male! And so I will, with such a charming host. Dream Boys is good but not what it was. That night at least it lacked the ‘guys for all tastes’ variety that was its strength in Twilight. Only one guy caught my attention, # 60-something. Smooth and perfect defined physique. Between my overnight trips Bangkok Guy and I spend quite a bit of time together. The high-floor pool at the apartment is a great hit. Fantastic view, plenty of shade so Bangkok Guy does not need to cover up and no one else around. Despite frustration at our inability to communicate complex ideas due to the language barrier, Bangkok Guy is good company. I research on-line Thai language courses and decide I have to learn Thai. Good intentions. We will see. We do our usual exploration of jazz bars and discover a new favorite, the lobby bar at the St Regis. The musicians are at the top of the game and the bar woman really knows how to mix a drink. Best Sazerac I have had in a long while. Bangkok Guy always looks smart in a conservatively casual way but for the first time I think he may need a little wardrobe assistance. I do not like shopping, but having read reports of Icon Siam think it might be worth a look. We go Icon Siam? Yes! So next day we go Icon Siam. On entry it feels like another bunch of high-brand shops just like duty free in 1000 airports. Straight in the door, there is Alexander McQueen. $400+ a shirt last time I was unfortunate enough to need one in an emergency with no other choices. Bangkok Guy understands me well enough to enjoy pulling my chain. He looks at Alexander Mc Queen and then at me with eyebrows raised and a sweet smile. “I like you, but I no Alexander McQueen like you”. He grins and leads me up the escalator Passing by the Platinum Card brands, our first stop is H&M where he finds a very nice caramel striped collarless shirt, but decides to look further. Next stop is UniQlo. Jack Pot! They are having a sale. I may hate shopping, but I can’t resist a sale if the quality is good. Very nice linen collarless shirts. Bangkok Guy can’t decide which color. There is a discount for two or more. We get three. The new shirts make his trousers look a little dowdy. They have some very smart plaid trousers, also discount for two pair, so we get a dark pair with white and yellow plaid and a grey pair with white plaid. I give him the cash so he can pay for himself. He is very happy. That last paragraph gives a misleading impression of speed. I only shop when I have an objective. I find what I am looking for and exit quickly. Bangkok Guy likes shopping. Bangkok Guy checks out all the options. All the options. Even things he is not likely to buy. Partly he enjoys looking. Partly he wants to be sure he gets both quality and a deal. Fine. I am doing my best to maintain a happy face, but he is no fool. He sees that shopping bores me. However, he knows that I pay attention to how he looks. So at intervals just short enough to avoid me going catatonic he asks my opinion and draws me into the process of deciding in which clothing he looks best. I survive with my good mood stretched but intact. At checkout Bangkok Guy ends up in his own little que of one. Waiting and waiting. It turns out he has asked for everything to be pressed, which they do for free. Now his sneakers do not quite live up to his trousers. After a rest and fashion show at the apartment – everything fits perfectly and he looks very good – we head to Center World, I think, on a hunt for shoes. Some sort of slip-on. I have a thing for good footwear. Good shoes are the one thing for which I will pay full retail. But not in Bangkok. I set a budget equal to what I would pay back home for a good pair of shoes in a very good sale and set Bangkok Guy loose. After much checking of options and asking my opinion he finds a pair he likes with an Italian name. They are well made. Fully leather lined. Mario Minardi. It turns out they are Indonesian, Italian registered brand. And on sale. Later that evening we are again enjoying jazz at the St Regis. Bangkok Guy, in cream collarless linen shirt and dark checked trousers, crosses his legs and moves his foot slightly, admiring the shoe. He smiles. Our sightseeing highlights are the Museum of Contemporary Art and the King Power rooftop. Art is my thing. I had no idea what to expect at MoCA and was pretty much blown away by the creativity of what was in many cases a contemporary take on traditional Thai art. Next trip I will visit the contemporary dealer galleries. If you haven’t been to the King Power viewing deck, go. The view is spectacular. Bangkok Guy and I had great fun photographing each other ‘suspended in air’ on the glass deck. However, the only way out is via a compulsory trek through a supercharged duty free maze fit to bamboozle the Minotaur. Bangkok Guy loved it. So many things to look at. So many things to pull my chain over. He finally took mercy on me and got us out to the footpath. “You safe now” he said grinning, as he slipped his hand into mine.

  44. With preparation and work, and plenty of good record keeping, it’s still possible for US citizens to travel to Cuba legally under the “support for the Cuban people” category. You have to avoid patronizing or even entering almost all places and businesses that are owned or operated by the Cuban government — and this includes many if not most famous tourist spots, and almost every hotel and almost every restaurant. What you can do legally is stay at casa particulares and AirBnBs because they are privately owned and operated — thus, supporting Cuban people directly. You can also eat at the family-owned paladares. You also should have your 9am to 5pm every day scheduled and documented of support for the Cuban people activities — and no tourism activities, because that’s technically illegal. Also be prepared to show your activity logs and schedule with evidence of your activities when you return to US Customs, and for 5-7 years after your trip. It may not happen, but you can get randomly questioned.
