Hello everybody, here is my first-timer experience This is MY experience. I will be happy to answer any questions of those who are like me - firstimers. I'm not going to argue about my possible mistakes with pro visitors to Brazil, I don't want this post to become another exercise in insulting each other. Sorry for these words, but I think an ambience here is very nasty, although I did find very precious information here. I'll compare some points with Thailand, as I was there 50+ times and I think it will be useful for those who visited Thailand And sorry for mistakes in my English So I've stayed 15 days there and I visited Club 117 everyday except two Mondays I am into bodybuilders. So I took only muscle guys. For those who remember golden days of Tawan - guys in Club 117 are smaller! I haven't met really big bodybuilders. Syntol muscles, big upper bodies with small legs - yes, very nice physic and fitness class guys - yes, but only two young competitive bodybuilders, which are not so big as I wish But the faces and bodies of 117's guys are so nice that I'm not disappointed So I'm talking about muscle guys here I was always asked (and always gave without bargaining) 150 R$, including instagram superstars with tens of thousands of subscribers, agogo dancers and the biggest guys in the club I think there an explanation to this fact (some members quoted higher prices) On the very first day I showed to one guy pictures of my ex who is heavyweight competitive bodybuilder. The rumor spread very quickly and muscle guys approached me saying 'I know, I'm not big for you, but you can try me' and didn't ask much. I liked some guys there for talking, sitting together. When they asked me, I bought drinks and food for them. Then these guys started to send to me all new muscle guys that I had not had yet. They told them my price (150) and it always was OK with them. I was extremely excited when muscled beauties approached me and the guys told them - what are you waiting for, undress (if he just came), show your muscle, may be he'll take you On the very first night I asked one guy, who speaks English well, to take me to Lapa for fun. I felt a kind of chemistry between us, although he is absolutely not attractive for me sexually He turned out to be one of the smartest man that I ever met. We talk with him about everything, starting from big bang and graham's number to Austro-Hungarian Empire and brazilian coffee-with-milk politics in Brazil. That night he slept in my appartment and the next morning he said - we are friends, no more money. So almost everyday he stayed with me and slept in my appartment and I never paid him money. Once he asked 300 to pay electricity bill and I gave him, sometimes I gave him 50 for taxi to comeback home. On the second day my phone was stolen. This guy gave me his phone and I used it for four days before he helped me to buy a new phone. When he took me to a disco that I didn't like, he paid himself for that disco. Sometimes he insisted to pay for food himself. He bought some gifts for me when I was returning home Believe me or not, but this is true So, I can't say what is the price for a long stay, although one bodybuilder told me that R$ 1500 for one day is extremely good price and I think it can be lowered down to 600-800R$ I took some guys to my appartment - from 7 pm to midnight it was 300-350 R$ Entance to the club - 60 Room - 40 Caipirinha - 15, smirnoff ,tequila, - 15-20-30 Espresso, water - 6 Food I think 20-30, I don't remember The guys that I talked to told me they usually get R$ 200 from clients (muscle guys) Some advices 1. It is not like in Thailand. In Thailand in a go go if you come at the right time you can see almost all the guys (except those who are taken or have a day off). In Brazil you never know who you meet that day 2. In Brazil you pay for 40 minutes. When you finish, a guy usually comes back to work. In Thailand you pay for a short time, you can talk to a guy while you are going to your hotel, you may offer a dinner together and so on. It's not the case here. If you want that, you should talk about longer stay 3. English is almost non-existent. To my suprise, in Thailand the situation is much better. That makes a longer stay much more difficult. 4. I stayed in Gloria area, 2 minutes walk from the Club 117. It is very convenient. I saved a lot of money because I stayed in Gloria area. If you want take a guy home - it's easy for him, the price is lower. Prices for food and restaurants are lower. For example, fresh juice in my area is R$ 5, copacabana - R$9-11. I ate in a good restaurant for R$ 30-50, Ipanema - R$ 90+ for the same food. Of course, if you like beach, it's a long ride by metro, but there is Flamengo beach nearby 5. Do plan your stay! Indeed, when it's a quiet day in the club, it can be a big dissapointment. During my stay it was wednesdays and sundays. You can expect more guys starting from 6-7 pm. 6. When the club was closed (Monday) I visited Lion's and Point 202 on the same evening. It was a disaster. Lion's was deserted at 7.30, Point was busy, but no muscles at all. So for the next Monday I took a guy for an evening stay with me. 7. I didn't find the way to have a man from the beach. Although I saw some good guys, I do not know how to approach them 7. Brazil is not a holiday destination. In Thailand you can find millions ways to have fun. It's secure. In Brazil I have no idea how I would spend a time with a guy. After visiting a couple of tourist attractions there is only one thing - the beach. In Thailand you may visit huge shopping malls, nice restaurants, take a ride to islands, gardens, markets, aquariums, discos... - endless list. 8. I have already bought a ticket to Brazil for the next trip. It is really nice country and above all - Brazilians! I really loved them2 points

Day 7 (Pattaya) Had a slow start to my 4th day in Sin City, once I’d finally surfaced checked my Hornet messages and had a reply from a cute Viet massage boy (K the Viet) who was working freelance, we’d spoken before so was just a case of sending him my location in LINE and about 30 minutes later he promptly arrived at the condo. As a 'new one' to me I met him outside (just in case a scary / agressive Lady boy masquerading with fake pics…been there before), but tbh was even cuter in real life and immediately super friendly. Usual banter in the condo then fairly rapidly showers and me stretched out on the bed with him working me over, massage technique again not quite as good a ‘K the Khmer’ 3 days before but decent enough. K the Viet was buck naked from the beginning and clearly horny so the massage was a token 20 mins before we got down to the real action. K turned out to be a voracious bottom (lucky for me!) and the next hour was spent with me busily trying to keep up with his demands! The slightly kinky owner of my condo clearly had a fetish for mirrors around the bed (too many for my liking)...but K kept peering at the one above the bedhead, seemed to be getting off on it so all good for him. Nice chat after the showers and requests from him to meet up again, nice genuine boy and he left with a good addition to his wallet. Quick nap then headed out to town, just caught ColmX arriving as I did, headed over to Boyztown and scooped up ‘K from X-Boys’ for round 2, think we hit a few other bars but I had to get a taxi in the morning to Swampy for my flight to Hanoi. Ended up in Stones bar in Walking street after meeting up with ColmX again plus Vessey and his entourage (2 very cute ‘fire cracker’ Laos boys)…Vessey I can see how you do so well with the guys as masses of charm. ColmX of course did his best to sabotage my plans of any earlyish night plying us with more booze…but was a fun night and the Laos boys were great company. Although I think the pair of them (amongst others!) we’re trying to steal ‘K’ every time I disappeared to the loo! Can’t recall what time we bailed out but I do know I only got 2 hours sleep after ‘taking care’ of my guy, nice session again but ‘K’ was a bit down on power from the late night before but still good fun. My head hit the pillow and was one of those sleeps where it feels like you’ve blinked and then you’re getting back up in the morning! Next up Hanoi!!! Day 8 (Hanoi) Dragged my sorry ass out of my ‘pit’ late morning and finished packing, closed up the condo and hopped in my taxi to Swampy. Nice easy drive with a sensible lady driver in a new Toyota…so good to have a driver who’s not ‘tripping’ on Red-Bull and trying to emulate ‘death race 2000’ up the motorway. Saturday morning so only about 1hr 40 mins and 1000bhat later I was dropped off, checked in with Vietnam airlines who graciously gave me an Exit seat (lovely people). I’d booked the flights a month before when I was still at home in the UK and just liked the hassle free option of flying out of Swampy, plan was to spend 3 nights with ‘B’ one of my original 4 Viet’s who was now living at home after a slight disagreement with the Thai Police over his visa. ‘B’ used to work Patpong 2 and was missing some of the fun stuck in Ha-Tinh. I wanted to see Hanoi again and he wanted to see me so we reached a mutual agreement and he was promptly hired as my ‘guide’ for 3 nights. Definitely the sexiest ‘guide’ I’ve ever had but worked well tbh having a local around as just much easier / faster to get around. I’d booked a condo in the older quarter after checking with him it was suitable, duly approved…to quote him ‘very very ok’ as in the centre of the action. I checked with the owner first he was ok with my friendly guide hanging out…and all good. Landed early afternoon at Hanoi International airport and nice easy experience, just showed the immigration guy my flight home on my phone (in 4 days) and got a visa on arrival stamp…I ‘think’ from memory that’s good for up to 14 days. No hassle with visa paperwork etc, all very efficient. Changed up some monies (oh joy another currency where everything is 10’s of thousands…lol), grabbed a 4G local SIM card and booked my taxi at a little ‘one stop’ shop in the airport, then had a very cute taxi driver in a nice Jap style 4x4 whisk me to the city. Once I’d fired up my phone with the local sim was immediately getting messages from ‘B’ as he knew what time my flight landed as was panicking that I’d not come. Calmed him down, both shared locations on messenger and after 45 minutes the taxi dropped me off in the old town and I headed down a small street looking for my condo, found it and there was ‘B’ waiting outside with a big smile, even bigger hug & looking a bit browner than last time I saw him in BKK (I don’t think he actually believed I’d really come until I did). To his credit he’d arrived the day before from Ha-Tinh and stayed in a hotel overnight so as to be here when I landed. Condo was nice, on the 4th floor of an old colonial style block, access via lift from the ground flr and the owner had opened it up for us so we both just checked in, unpacked, showered and took a powernap as tired from travels. I got gently woken up a couple hours later by a slightly hungry...but more horny Viet boy after pulling the curtains we had a proper re-union, ‘B’ is a happy ‘both’ with me although he’s very str8 acting / fun guy which I like. I noticed he seemed more relaxed and calm at home which was really cool, once we un-tangled ourselves and showered we headed out foraging for dinner. A hundred yards up the road found a small restaurant with some of the best Pho and Spring Rolls I’d tasted in a long while…’B’ opted for something farang style as just said he missed that type of food occasionally from BKK. ‘B’ is a bit of a charmer so pretty soon the waitress went from curious (but polite) looks at the pair of us, to them both chatting away / gossiping in Viet. Doubled back to the condo and my handsome guide requested ‘another’ servicing, seems dinner made him more horny again…it’s a tough life but I do aim to please! Think we dozed off again after that. Woke up later to his phone going and his dad video calling him from Ha-Tinh so I promptly scuttled off into the other room so not to cause him any embarrassment, think family were just curious why he’d gone to Hanoi more than anything. After a bit of wandering around Hanoi at night checking out the Cathedral (keeps his RC side happy), quick pit stop for some street food later of ‘Banh Mi’ sandwiches…basically a combo of the best of French & Viet in a baguette, slices of pate, Viet sausage (as if I’d not had enough Viet sausage already that day!), fried egg, some garden veggies and fresh cilantro and sweet chilli. Basically heaven in a baguette, all for the princely sum of 25,000 Dong (about £0.70p), ‘B’ declared them to be very good and we made short work of them. All good...gotta say I love Hanoi so far! Although the company certainly does help with that, discreet pic of him from BKK (think that was The Raya)...2 points

‘Why Are Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren Scared to Talk About Sex Work?’

Oops. Sorry. Me and my verbal diarrhea. I hadn't looked at Guy's website for several months. Obviously from the post above I just did, in regards to commenting on a thread relating to the 2020 pool party. After I hit the "post" button, I went back and looked again, and noticed a long thread based on A WSJ article about how DHS and the Feds appear to again be targeting certain escort websites based on trafficking concerns. I won't repeat the content of the WSJ article or the thread, since it's all over there. I will comment on it, since there's several points that are both sad and funny. 1. As predicted, the bad guys - or the alleged bad guys - just moved their websites overseas, to places like Cyprus. Why am I not surprised? Isn't this what everybody predicted? 2. Because of this and many others reasons, trafficking and horrible things have not stopped. They just shifted. Again, just like everybody predicted. I cited Paul and Sheila Wellstone's federal anti-trafficking law in the post above. If we ever want to deal seriously with trafficking as a nation, that so far has proven to be the best tool to do it. Meaning make it as easy as possible for the women and kids, mostly, who are being trafficked to fight the men who are trafficking, exploiting, raping, abusing, or killing them. Trump's policy is essentially to do the opposite: he has turned the women and kids who are being trafficked and exploited into the enemy. 3. It does not appear that any Gay websites are under the microscope, at least for now. But another one of my former client/current friends made a cogent comment about how Rentmen does a "poor job" verifying the identity of advertisers. This could ultimately expose them to concerns about trafficking, which is what DHS used to take Rentboy down.2 points -

A postscript. If anyone is actually reading any of this stuff. You can tell where people are at on this issue just by doing a word count of two different threads on two different websites. On this website, and on this post, you have a whole bunch of words. But they are mostly written by one person. Me. And, thanks, Adam. I've won every major David and Goliath fight I have ever fought - including against Enron, the American Bankers Association, Fannie Mae, and I don't know how many huge banks. And part of why the organizations and coalitions I was working with won is because I knew a little something about planning and organizing and teamwork. That said, no one else seems to be writing or thinking about this. Which, again, is fine. If you check at Guy's forum, there is already a post on the 2020 Palm Springs Pool Party. I did not literally do a word count. But I'm pretty sure there are more words posted on that thread than there are on this one. Except, on that thread, it's by a whole bunch of people who've been coming to the pool party for years, and who are already really excited about planning the 2020 version. Good for them. I'll repeat what I said above. I hope the waters stay calm for a very, very long time. Have fun guys. I actually had a long part two to my long ass post on decriminalization, believe it or not. As I said, I spent a few days updating myself on what has been happening recently on decriminalization. I knew a group called Survivors of SESTA formed, and was going to have a national lobby day last Summer. Around when that happened, I looked around to see if I could find any news reports about what happened. I couldn't. The last of the three articles I posted above, about the fact that ALL the 2020 Democratic Presidential candidates in the US Senate and House supported FOSTA/SESTA, reported that the national lobby day was attended by "three dozen sex workers". I've both organized and attended lobby days at the federal and state level that drew in thousands of activists. If anyone has a question about why we're not winning on these issues relating to male escorts and websites like Rentboy, or even being taken seriously, we now have an answer. Three dozen sex workers? If 3000 escorts and their clients went and met with their Senators and Reps, that would be news. Three dozen sex workers just isn't. To really drive home the point, three dozen is less than the number of people who attend Oliver's pool party any year I've hosted it, helped organize it, or attended it. And by the way, I am happy to see it is being planned a year in advance. Here's another bitchy little secret that sort of undercuts Lucky's narrative about me. Eppie and I were the ones who pushed Oliver to announce it a year in advance, rather than months in advance. Ollie resisted a little, and then gave in. (As an escort, I knew he would. He is a bottom, of course.) Most people say the party keeps getting better, and better attended, every year. So it tells you something about what people are really interested in, and what they are willing to plan around. Pool parties? Yes. Decriminalization of prostitution? No. That is not a compliment or a criticism, just a statement of fact. My sense is that we'll revisit this issue if and when some website is shut down, or if and when some new and horrible law passes. Or maybe when somebody like President Warren or President Sanders proposes decriminalizing prostitution. But quite honestly, I'd worry about that. As far as I can tell, it is a fight very few of us want to think about, or prepare for. That leaves me personally in a happy position. I'm ready and eager to dive in - whether it's political activism, or just a warm pool.2 points -
haha, well sich videos can be found and viewed online. I probably could get a DVD but didn't request it as they didn't find anything at all and to come back in 10 years. So no use for such DVD, other than vinapu's idea for a Christmas viewing2 points

Day 9 continued Boys were almost on the dot and we up we went, me for a 4th time this trip and not last by the way. Z was clearly chickening out seeing that glass over 314 m chasm but after much less drama than when he was buying shirt earlier today he made it. Of course photo taking festival started and by the way you can’t take photos while on the glass so somebody else need to do it for you. No selfies there. I never met Jimbillp before but soon enough I spotted gentleman who was kind of paying attention to our antics. I told him I will be wearing baseball hat with motive bit distinctive for Thailand so I guess we were easy to spot. So we introduced ourselves and it needs to be said , immediately hit it on, all five of us. We spent good 2 hours up there identifying known and unknown places from above. It was fascinating to see that such landmark as Wat Arun from up there it’s just little white spot on Chao Praya’s riverbank. Of course I was maneuvering to find moment to be close enough to A just to ask him if he would be interested in going with me one day. Confirmation was immediate and matter of factly , like he expected it. After all we shook hands and clicked our glasses in bar last evening , no? Obviously it was not scheduled for today as I had Z but I told him next time I’m in his bar ( likely tomorrow ) I’m coming for him. Signed and sealed. 5 p.m. may be best time to go to Maha Nakhon as one has chance of seeing Bangkok in both daylight and after dark with all the lights. But compared to morning it was much , much more crowded . You have been warned, lots of people has the same idea. Finally we felt hungry and went to Silom Plaza, that’s the one Arena is where we settled for one of Chinese restaurants there and had our dinner. This time I was careful not to touch any seafood, lesson learned. Next destination , drinks in soi 4, we settled for either Balcony or Telephone , I never know which is which but it was one of those two on the left side of the soi. What was amazing , even if we basically did not know each other and still whole evening we find enough subjects for never ceasing conversation and no , nothing about debaucheries. One of those moments when you meet somebody new and you feel you know him 125 years already. Beside us for a while was sitting alone over drink very handsome Thai , I could be wrong but I sensed he is MB and if I was alone certainly I’d chat him up but in those circumstances all I could do is to look at his handsome face from time to time. And when we decided to change scenery for Jupiter I slipped him 100 baht tip for his good look. He looked surprised and according to my companions , bit embarrassed so perhaps I was wrong and made faux pas but I did what I did and felt happy about it. Today was Monday and low season so Jupiter just before the show was no more than half full if that much but boys on the stage as always were handsome like hell. Mekhin was there and of course Oud veteran of at last 10 my offs when he was still Tawan guys pied me and shortly joined us for drink. Even better muscled than before so he must be taking his exercises seriously. At one point Jimbillp left us as he is flying home and we were stuck inside after the show for a while because of rain and I was only one with umbrella. Night was not over yet as when we passed by Banana well built barker there invited us for a special show going on right now and let me tell you he did not lie. We entered right to see grand finale . Then of course resident boys crowded the scene for last minute off chance. Mostly twinks there. One of our crowd commented about one of boys , bit older and not exactly good looking that he shouldn’t be on the stage , little knowing that he will receive my parting tip for simple reason - I offed him twice in the past , from Zeus / who remember that bar closed at Christmas 2014 / and with his friend from old Fresh boys for quite a spectacle they made for me. So lesson is , sometimes boys don’t have looks but have other attributes and staying power and all stand a chance. I know that report goes on and on and on and it’s not even over. We parted our ways around 1 am. Spoon and A went their ways and we went ours, Z bit drunk after all those drinks here and there felt also hungry so we ordered some street food in front of soi Tawan and only then we landed home. After such full day I felt sleepy more than amorous so soon wrapped Z around me if that’s at all possible I fell asleep. At one point on night I woke up next to nobody , Z was missing in action. Since our Pattaya agreement was that we are free to do what we want I should be not concerned but I was because of exception clause – we are supposed to sleep together. But I resigned to my fate understanding I will never understand today’s youth and fell asleep again. After while waked up , dark and still bed empty. That part I don’t like but again , what I can do? With sun I raised at 6.20, upset like hell and went to shower only to hear door opening and me name being called. He was back. At night he still wanted to eat something so went to the street but unwisely left his key card with receptionist. Upon return she was gone so he couldn’t open door leading from reception upstairs and was forced to sleep on the sofa there and also pass time on his phone. Lesson learned, never leave key with reception in a small hotel as you may get stuck. Certainly that wouldn’t happen in Amara or Pullman G and the like but in place with few rooms receptionist may expect quiet night and disappear somewhere to get a nap. So busy and exciting day 9 finished with long embrace, deserved kick in the ass and long embrace again. And yes, some "finally back together" fun.2 points

Day 9 After 2 busy nights we obviously needed some rest , not to mention fact that I found hard to unglue myself from Z’s sweet embraces. So breakfast trip to Foodland was almost at noon depriving me chance to get discounted set for 65 baht / available only 5.30 to 9 / and I was forced to fork out whooping 81 baht for the same. Suprisingly , Z opted for the same thing, American breakfast. Usually boys take some Asian dish for the first meal of the day but he wanted to be adventurous I guess. After that he wanted to visit some local market so we went to Silom Market past soi 6 and then we crossed Silom to another no-name I guess, but much bigger market there in soi 5. He wanted to buy some blouses for his mother and sisters and shirt for himself, easy task one could say but not when gay boy is shopping , even very manly looking one. So I was was treated to a spectacle of trying and deliberating over most minute details which normally would drive me crazy and upset mightily but today and in his company I was in such good mood I could withstand any torture so I just smiled. He was in good mood too, no doubt Sauna Mania visit helped, perhaps even I contributed 5.5 % to his pot of good mood and wanted to buy me a gift , shirt which I did not want. Catch 22 situation because I did not want to offend him either but fortunately there was no my size and he gave up idea. I’m well past stage of acquiring things I don’t need. When he spied shirt he liked it was even more entertaining trying multiple times , comparing to dozen of others, abusing mirror mightily and testing my patience even more. But when I started to feel homophobic he finally made decision to buy and took my advice to dress in it right away to get good feel of his new garment. Beside was underwear stand so I invited him to choose one, purchased and gifted it to him. No, it was not good heart being my motivation but pure self interest because I suggested our next step will be return to the room where he can actually try that briefs. To his credit , idea was approved with due enthusiasm and in 5 minutes we were there. We did not overlook fact that trying he is already almost undressed and utilized situation to have some romantic fun. Being product of 21 century he is on his phone most of time but to his credit , not much when we occupy bed together . But somehow he managed to discover that there’s message waiting him from one of his friends, read admirers who was about to leave Bangkok after his vacations and somehow discovered Z is here. So I suggested he will go to kiss his friend good bye as he was in hotel in our area and instructed him I’ll be waiting at 5 p.m. at entry of Maha Nakhon where I expected to meet Spoon and on the top Jimbillp as well . Spoon was there to announce that he invited A, his Moonlight trophy from last evening to come as well and informed me that A was inquiring if I will be there. Which immediately set me off even higher then Maha Nakhon top as I had my designs on A seeing him yesterday and knowing today it’s Spoon’s last day. It’s Christmas already ? I thought for a moment hearing that. to be continued as story of the day is long one so for better reading I divided it in two parts.....2 points

It seems so many want to pay as little as possible. I can't tell you the number of times I hear ( in brasil saunas) some old guy with a 100k USD or Euro salary trying to negociate a discount from a poor boy who traveled 2 hours on a city bus to make some money selling ass or dick. Personally, I pay the asking price plus a small tip....or choose another that is in my budget. The boys also have pride and deserve respect.....2 points

Day 4 (Pattaya) After another nap and a tidy up of the condo my taxi came to whisk me down to Sin City, I didn’t book it with my usual company so got slightly stung on the price @ 1600 but was a brand new Isuzu 4 cab type thing and the driver was good company. I have at best mixed feeling about Patts these days, spent too much time there years ago then stopped completely for 2 years, went back for 3 days near Songkran and had a decent time so decided to brave 4 nights there this time again. Arrived at the condo I was renting around 3pm and after a bit of fuss with the management company cause I flatly rejected the first one they offered I got something I was a bit happier with. It’s near Tukcom so basically slap bang in the middle of where a lot of the boys live. About 5 mins after firing up my Hornet it lit up like a Christmas tree and one of the first was from ‘K ‘ the Khmer who used to work massage @ Royal House amongst other fine Pattaya establishments. He’s actually a decent masseur plus damn sexy as has a swimmers type bod with nice mildly built pecs. ‘K’ arrived around 4pm and after setting up a couple of towels on the bed he went to work on me, been together a few times so he was buck naked from the outset, oil massage though (meant to ask him to bring cream) and was working his way nicely up & down me, has a couple of neat tricks like using the mild stubble on his chin to work your back, sounds weird but actually very erotic not to mention the slight brush of his balls as he glides over my butt…heaven. Probably about 30-45 mins of ‘real’ massage and then the lube came out and was my turn to give him an internal massage of sorts, think after about 45 mins there was oil and lube slathered all over the bed towels and us but we both sat back sated and happy. ‘K’ was heading off to BKK the next day funnily enough so chatted a bit post showers and tentatively agreed to try meet up 1 more time before I head home, ‘K’ departed a happy Khmer with a full ST tip and said he was clocking off for the day. I took a powernap then woke to a LINE call from ‘K2 the Thai boy’ a 20 year old Uni student on hols in Patts, can’t remember how we got chatting originally but think was on one of the Apps but quickly migrated to LINE and I guess he spotted me online somewhere so wanted to come over @ 7pm. Never one to say no to a cute guy I showered and got myself together (Berocca is your friend in these circumstances) and got ready for Round 2. I’d never met ‘K2’ before that day and when I did he was as cute but a smidge lighter build than I realized. I have a 50-55Kg rule as I’m pretty tall which basically means if the guys less than that I usually give it a miss, just past experience etc. This ‘should’ have ruled out ‘K2’ and at some point when we were sitting on the sofa’s I decided this and gently tried to send him on his way with nothing happening and 500 bhat for taxi’s & food. His reaction was unusual as basically he said ‘No’ very clearly and then came across the couch to me and started un-buttoning my shirt and trying to pull my shorts & boxer briefs down. I was trying to wriggle out of his way but had this amorous and VERY determined Thai boy hell bent on having his wicked way with me. By then he’d whipped off his shorts too showing off his crown jewels (not bad either), so eventually I gave in and we both went for a shower then got down to it…actually good fun and totally disproved my 50kg rule. Chatted a bit afterwards he’s a maths student studying @ Uni, intelligent boy but quite intense, I gently passed him another 1K to up his Tip to 1.5K asking him to accept it as help for his studies, smiles / kisses all round and after a while he disappeared into the night….followed by a slew of Emoji’s on my LINE. Think I felt a combination of happiness with a bit of relief (I’m pretty damn sure I would not have made it out of my condo alive if I’d not done as instructed)…lol. Been getting a steady stream of LINE messages from him daily. After that I decided to call it an early night as well and truly exhausted. Day 5 (Pattaya) Woke to messages on LINE and Hornet from ‘Cute B’ another Thai boy I’ve known for a couple years, he knew I was coming to sin city and so was expecting his regular exchange of bodily fluids plus discussion about currency exchange rates, to which after breakfast at the Pattaya Beer Garden I cheerfully obliged. ‘Cute B’ works in Winner Boys and has one of the finest bubble butts you’ll find in that town. He came over about 12pm, usual grumbles about lack of customers in general and said he was working as & when he felt like it really, but we had a fun couple of hours and left happy with the usual ST tip burning a hole in his pocket. So that was nearly all my regulars happy (not quite….but nearly all). So yet another nap (yes that’s my secret Michael I basically sleep all day like a Thai boy between sessions), woke up early evening and headed to Boyztown around 9pm, had a quick look around and very quiet, sad seeing the old Panorama closed up…such a big hole at the bottom of the Soi. Headed into Toyboys to have a drink with Mena, not many guys working but I guess was early, a couple caught my eye but nothing to the same level as Patpong and certainly no way near the same volume. Noticed on the other side of the bar a couple of Chinese (rich bitch) types calling guys over for drinks so bearing in the mind the bar was low on boy numbers they basically emptied the stage and had all the boys sat with them which didn’t look great as customers were peeking around the door. The bitches (excuse my English slang) seemed to be multiplying in number too as more of their shopping bag wielding pals joined them…not really what I come to a Gay bar to see if I was honest! So after 10ins of staring at an empty stage I declined Mena’s kind offer of a 2nd drinks and bailed out heading for Cupidol. Cupidol had about 10 guys on stage or around the bar and a few nice ones at that, I clocked a short nicely built Khmer lad that I’d chatted to on Hornet before but never met so after 30mins of drinks & chatting to Mama who was trying to convince me to invest in some madcap plan for a beer bar (in failing Pattaya…no thank you dear!) I escaped her clutches tipping the Khmer plus 1 other boy on my way out the door. I foolishly headed back to Toyboys hoping the Rich Bitches would have moved on…but horror of horrors there was actually more of them and they’d taken over the whole of one side of the bar! I grimly had another drink whilst eyeing up #75 (cute but clearly man) & #41…both Laos boys but the whole ambiance was just not working for me so I downed my drink and doubled back to Cupidol. Called over ‘P the Khmer’ I’d tipped earlier, lovely muscle twink type bod with a nice Y Frame pretty decent Engrish so once we’d agreed the usual parameters I offed him and we headed out of BT, turned out he had a Visa run @ 3am (genuine as he showed me his passport stamps) so both hungry we went to get Thai food in a small restaurant and just chatted a bit, nice boy with the usual story of trying to help his mom get a new house built at home. Noticing the time we headed back to the condo and just lounged on the sofa’s for a bit, quite nice have that tight muscle frame buried against my chest…then he hopped in the shower and was game on from there. ‘P’ did do all that was promised and seemed to enjoy himself and relax, he did try to flip the encounter to him topping but unfortunately he didn’t quite have the equipment for me to let that happen. Post shower hugs and ST tip dispensed and I sent a happy Khmer into the night to catch his bus home, turned out he decided to stay Cambodia with his family for a few days so that was the last I saw of him that trip. Although he’s another who sends thru messages fairly regularly on LINE. Day 6 (Pattaya) Late start to the day, lounged around having a bit of grump at the general state of the bars last night, went for breakfast and then came back to the condo looping around the back of Tukcom to conveniently bring me past the massage shops as I passed the one that is around the back (short end) of Tukcom in the small Soi that links the other 2 main Soi’s a tall Thai boy called out to me, I recognized him from a couple of years ago and waved back but carried onto the condo for a shower. Post shower I though…’bollocks what am I doing moping around in-doors’ so reduced my pocket contents to a minimum, enough for Tips & phone & walked back to the massage shop, sat down outside next to ‘B’ the very tall Thai boy, he’s like 185 tall and has a nice slender build. ‘B’ angling to get an LT visit to the condo but I had other plans later so I said in the shop ok today to which he smiled and led me in. Consulted the slightly confusing menu and then settled on 1.5hours of cream massage. Led up 2 flights of narrow stairs to the massage beds, in true Patts style just separated by a curtain but we were the only ones up there then. ‘B’ asked me if I wanted a shower, I explained had already just 10 mins ago so he went off to get setup whilst I de-robed and relaxed. Nice massage for about 1 hour but not quite as good as ‘K’s 2 days before although his work on my head, hands and feet had me squirming with pleasure. Then at some point he started to strip (without me prompting) and we were off to the races. The room was just a single bed so bit tricky for too much action but we had our fun and left dispensed our Vitamin D deposits, he did in buckets which is always nice (seemed horny). Cleaned up and had a quick (quiet) chat upstairs as someone else had just entered another booth. Tipped ‘B’ 1K and paid out the shop 600 I ‘think’ plus 100 for mama and left feeling calmer & relaxed. I was supposed to meet up with a former Cupidol worker who’d since ‘retired’ and was doing some food stall type gig, but he went AWOL on me so I thought no matter, got dressed & headed out around 10pm, peeked around the door of ABomb but nothing that tempted me. Onto Toyboys again where the Laos mafia were very much on the floor, Lord some of these boys have been around for a while. Toyboys numbers were again dwindling so I finished my drink and went to Cupidol, couple of cuties caught my eye but not enough stirrings in my boxers to off so just called one over for a drink / chat as was quiet and dispensed a few Tips to be sociable. Boredom kicking in (never takes me long) I wandered around to the Soi with Dreamboys & X-Boys, mama Yoko from X-Boys spotted me and pulled me in with the usual assurances of ‘many many nice boys’…as could have been predicted was not quite my definition of nice but had a good chat with Yoko and as the show was coming to an end she pointed to a guy in the shadows at the back (near the bar) and said I should have a chat with him. I didn’t take much notice of this until said boy came on stage and then wow…what a cutie, handsome with a nice swimmers bod and swimmers type pecs….not a 6 pack but still defined. Swiftly called him over & we got to know each other, seemed like a nice Thai boy (later found out he’s 50/50 Thai/Viet which explains a lot!), Top and claims to be Man but I though gotta be worth a try so we talked thru the usual ‘what do you do, what do you like’. He had the dreaded room key for his pal though so could only stay till 4am but more than good enough for me. ‘K the Issan Thai/Viet’ came back dressed in about 2 mins flat and off we went to dinner at the same Thai restaurant I’d been to the night before. Paid Boyz Boyz Boyz a visit in their afterhours bar across the road which was a bit odd as seemed to be lots of Asian HISO types with their girlfriends watching proceedings. I think ‘K’ had a pal who worked there so felt like one of those ‘look what I’ve snagged’ type visits, but was ok for a late drink. Back to the condo and a very nice session ensued of us exploring each other’s bodies, nice / quietly passionate boy (not a fire cracker) but just nice Thai boy next door type, ‘K’ eventually came first and made a nice puddle which I happily added to so all good. As was getting near 4am I tipped him my full LT rate for Patts plus a bit of Taxi money and after some chatting and hugs he left to let his pal into the loom and I went to bed a happy camper.2 points

Leaving Mykonos darker, lighter in the wallet and in LOVE with the island... First timer and I came for Excelsior and I should have came YEARS ago... Love Circuit In Barcelona and Pride in Madrid but Mykonos with the raw beauty....ease of getting around the island and TONS of hot guys from all over... Will be back again and again.... This island just knocked Barcelona out of my top 3 cities, now she's #4... The food, natural scenery, and the crowds of HOT GAY MEN.... If you havent been to Mykonos, I highly recommend coming... A few notes- Mykonos is expensive by most European standards but you can find drinks and dinner specials... The island is FULL of fit, attractive people...locals and tourists....Its the "place " to be seen and maybe its the diet but the Island as a whole has very attractive eye candy... Its pretty easy to get around the place IF you rent a car, scooter or ATV...which I highly recommend...there are only maybe 30 taxis on the island, from what I read... The beaches....PICK ONE...do you want hot people...gay included...do you want to lounge and relax...do you want to just enjoy beautiful water.... All of the beaches are top notch and I managed to go check them all out while I was on the island... Clubs are mainly in Mykonos town or at the beaches unless you are on the island for an event...Again, the island isn't very large and very easy to get around 'GAY FRIENDLY!!! I know its historically been extremely but they are GAY friendly as hell...from the hotel staff to the bar staff to the shopkeepers and they should be...Gay spend money...BUT they were overall majority helpful and nice... Would love to hear your feedback if you have been to Mykonos...1 point

Ok so I rarely (if ever) write trip reports and this will be more of a synopsis of my travels in Thailand & Vietnam from Late Aug to Early Sept. Day 1 (BKK) Arrived at Swampy in the afternoon EVA (night-flight flight from London / LHR), lucky enough to get an Exit seat so was fairly comfy all the way and well sedated with a few G&T’s. EVA are fairly understated and still use the 777 but they’re solid and reliable and have never let me down (yet!!). Pretty obvious its low season from the short length of the ‘snake’ at immigration, think I was off the plane and in a taxi in under 40 mins speeding towards the State Tower where I had a condo booked for the first 3 nights. Condo turned out to be a LOT nicer than I expected and kind of annoyed at myself for not booking it for my last 4 nights in BKK too (hey ho), few pics for those interested…was on the 49th floor so lovely view at night. Quick nap then off to check out the bright lights like a giddy teenager, headed for Lucky boys first. Managed to swerve Lucy and got my (and Paul SF’s) fav Viet mama, unfortunately my timing was poor & arrived just as the show was starting plus I got a seat up in the ‘Gods’ at the back. Downed a Vodka sprite in 10 mins (well you need to re-hydrate after a long flight) and fled the show to the clutches of my beloved Screw boys as no show on there at that time. Screw boys was steady (nice greeting from Mama Phim) and a seat opposite the bar, fair few new faces, appeared to be less Viets and more Laos now, definitely a wider mix but some new talent which is always good. Phim was just scribbling me a note of which numbers can do the magic ‘everything’…when one of my regulars over the last 2 years a Viet ‘Handsome W’ came ambling over and gave me a lovely hug and asked if he could sit down. Some of you may recall I used to have 2 sets of 2 Viet brothers in this bar that I used to play with regularly, basically they just pimped me out to their relatives (who am I to complain). 2 of the 4 boys have since returned home to VN (1 out of choice and 1 due to Thai Royal Police), but the other 2 (inc my ex) are still in BKK. Whilst my roving eye was still taking in the new talent ‘Handsome W’ did look delightful and was very bubbly to see me. He’d toned up slightly since Songkran but said had been sick for 1 week recently & lost a little weight. Decision made…offed ‘W’ and asked him if he minded us going for a drink to another bar before we headed back. We settled on Fresh boys 2 so I could ogle the new talent and he could catch up with his Viet pals upstairs. Its easy with ‘W’ as been together so many times we don’t need to talk about what we will / will not do…we both know what the other likes and he’s relaxed with either ST or LT (over-night). Fresh boys 2 show had just finished so we grabbed a couple of drinks, nice line-up…again less Viets than my last trip and wider mix of nationalities with some very hot guys. Benefit of having ‘W’ with me is I get no hassle from the mama’s in there as he’s kind of like my partner for the night and guard as senses I’m jet lagged & flagging. Spotted a few other Viets from my not quite inner circle and a few came over to say hello plus the Viet waiters in that bar as fun as ever. Judging from a message that popped up in LINE from my ex…my arrival had been swiftly reported to the Viet Boys Intelligence network. We both bailed out for food and then headed to The State Tower, great seeing ‘W’ explore (read prowl) the condo and got his stamp of approval, particularly the view from the balcony on the 49th floor at night…pretty damn special and nice as the air felt bit cooler up that high and less traffic noise. Turned over the smart TV controls to him and got treated to some Viet pop and just dozed off with me head on his lap…woke up a bit later and we shared the shower (few things in life are as nice as soaping up 55kg of hot VN guy in the shower) then to bed and of course getting more intimately reacquainted. Anyone who thinks Viets are not passionate has been missing out imho, we both slept like logs afterwards …’W’ can sleep 8-10 hours no problem, noticed he was a little clammy so probably still shaking off the last vestiges of his illness the week before so I dialled down the AC a bit and opened the bedroom French windows ajar on the balcony to let some fresher air in, woke up a couple of times to find his Viet paws circling me but we both slept soundly…nice to be back in BKK! Day 2 (BKK) ‘Handsome W’ awoke around early afternoon (I’ve learnt its best to let him wake his own way rather than rouse him early), showered again and a bit more morning playing around…then off to locate some food in a local Thai place. He headed to his room to get changed for the gym (tipped his usual LT / overnight rate plus a bit more as he’s one of my favourites). Feeling a bit less jet lagged and hornier I started searching Hornet and found a cute Khmer Bottom who seemed up for a spot of Gymnastics, usual bit of on-line negotiating…what do you like? What do you want? etc. etc. Arranged to meet up early evening so I could have another nap first. Met him just outside the State Tower & pleasantly surprised as looked exactly like his pics and if anything a bit cuter, perhaps a touch fem but ok for me (I’m not usually a fem boy type). Very little Engrish though but deduced he was hungry so took him to another Thai food place opposite…not much open on Sunday evenings nearby but we found a small local restaurant. Re-fuelled we headed back and had a pleasant but not particularly inspiring session 6/10. I later found out he worked Fresh boys 2 sometimes and I think was just one of those guys who’s a bit lazy at what he puts out…never less I had my wicked way with him and so he was duly sent on his was with the agreed ST tip (albeit with not much on top of that). Funny thing is he’s one of those guys who just didn’t ‘get it’ as kept messaging me all thru the rest of the trip for a follow-up meet and making eye’s when I saw him on stage in FB2 again. I headed out bit later than planned and ended up in Hotmale after Kai spotted me wandering along the upper level near the beer bar, I suffered the last 10 mins of the show (he did promise me it was nearly finishing) and at some point I spotted a cute gogo in the seats waiting to get back on stage just as the fuck show was coming to an end. My interest piqued I patiently waited and show ended & boys returned to stage (nice selection tbh), love their pants by the way, great patterns and look much smarter than the usual plan white…spotted said cute boy (footballers, swimmers type body) entering the stage and enquired with Kai about him who pronounced him to be a ‘very good boy’…and surprise surprise a Viet (the old Viet radar still working….lol). The boy ‘B’ was a Top but Kai said ‘very good’ take care and as I’d just had a Bottom earlier in the evening this all seemed fine. Called him over for a drink and immediately ‘B’ was very engaging, both our hands were wandering nicely and lots of squeezes / cuddles etc…all quite delightful. Asked him what his preferred was, ST or LT and he actually requested LT (over-night) so Tip levels agreed up front (as he was a new one to me) we adjourned to a beer bar to relax followed by Kai’s approving eye as we headed for the door. Few drinks and a late night dinner than back to State Tower, again the condo proved a success as ‘B’ loved the balcony also, taking pics sending them to his pals on Messenger and so on. Warmed up on the sofa and then bit more action in the shower followed by some gymnastics on the bed exploring each other’s bodies, ‘B’ is quite an affectionate boy too once warmed up and we made some suitable puddles of Vitamin D…he was quite the gusher tbh before we retired to the showers and bed. Dozed off holding each other and I think woke up late morning to him chilling on the balcony having a smoke & taking in the view again. LT Tips dispensed along with some sincere hugs from him and the request to see me again he ambled off to the lifts and about his day...nice boy. Day 3 (BKK) Finally got my arse into gear around mid-day and headed for MBK to get my old S8+ un-locked and a new Thai SIM for the duration of my trip, after a bit of comparing prices on the 4th or 5th flr between shops settled on one and left the phone with them for 1 hour whilst they went to work on it. Picked it up later after some more aimless wandering around (I’m not really a shopping person) and then headed to the movies and caught ‘Angel has Fallen’…it’s probably not going to win any academy awards but was worth a watch, Nick Nolte puts in a great performance as the grizzled dad. Off for a haircut in that place with the red chairs that does a lot of the barboys (a friend showed me it a while ago)…think its Silom Soi 3? Opposite some massage place…bit tired and half dozed off in the chair and came around to find I had a Grade 1 pretty much all over (rather than a 2 on Top and 1 at sides)…hey ho lucky I like the ‘low maintenance’ look. Back to the condo for a powernap & then headed out and hit Lucky boys early tonight…maybe was around 21:30 so Viet mama gave me a choice of seats and I ended up in the ‘snugs’ pretty much centre of the stage and with a perfect eye view of the candy….oh my 40+ guys on stage & more wandering around in their hot Black briefs (plenty of hotties). Viet mama sensing my horned up status was gently nudging me to call a guy over but with I sipped my Vodka Sprite and waited patiently for the stage to go thru rotation, it’s kind of like lines or ranks of boys moving from rear to front in Luckyboys. Then a familiar Viet face popped out at me as he got nearer the front, another of my regulars ‘B2’ who is like a pint sized muscle twink with a great six pack. He spotted me when I walked in but I missed him at first as he was wearing a baseball cap. Eye’s locked and that was it…Viet mama moved in for the kill and her laser pen was out pointing at him to which he ambled quickly off stage and to me. Up close he looked even better tbh, still a very defined boy…had just got back to BKK after a spell at home in VN with the family. Bit of catching up and then we quickly settled on an LT off but he doesn’t usually do overnight so we started early. Asked B2 where he wanted to go and he chose Dream boys for the show, my first visit to the new club and quite impressed albeit I was pretty much the only farang face in there and it was busy. Got a good couple of seats at the front after a former mama from Lucky recognized me, nice modern club and good layout, decent sightlines but that sound system is like DJ Station level and was really pumping loud which is fine with me but might not be to everyone’s tastes. B2 enjoyed the show / coyotes so all good and tbh I didn’t mind it as the part we saw was free of the dreaded lip synch Lady boys. After Dream boys we headed to the Khao San road for something different, somewhere I like to hang out a couple of times when I’m in BKK, always a great atmosphere and reminds me of my misspent youth traveling Thailand in my 20’s. The guys seem to get a kick out of it too…but then you have clubs, music, drinks galore and food everywhere not to mention a lot of stalls so what young man would not. We had a few beers in a club about halfway down the Khao San and it was definitely jumping, B2 is funny as he can’t drink more than 2 small beers before he turns red but he’s happy and relaxed so that’s the main thing. Went for dinner at some Thai street food type place he chose but all good and in truth I’ve had some great meals in and around the Khao San over the last 20+ years. About 01:00 headed back to Silom as I wanted to try catch ‘Handsome W’ in Screw boys as I was leaving BKK the next morning and would not be back for 1 week. ‘B2’ and ‘W’ are friends so he was good with that but unfortunately when we got to Screw boys found out ‘W ‘ had a night off so we just had drinks and then headed back to State Tower. Bit of lounging around the condo and then B2 pulled me into the shower as a ‘let’s get busy’ sign and game on from there, nice couple of leisurely sexy hours of pleasuring each other followed, another passionate guy who knows what we both enjoy...was really nice to re-make the connection again after 3-4 months away. Think we called it a night around 05:00am, B2 does not usually sleep over as has funny sleep patterns in BKK which I fully understand…plus I had a taxi coming at 12:00 to take me to sin city the next day so all good. Full LT Tip dispensed and he well deserved it tbh, great guy whom I fully intend to see again (watch his space!) To be continued…. Next up 4 nights in Pattaya (that’s assuming the above hasn’t sent you all to sleep yet)1 point

Updated South America's fees + "The over/underpay question"
Tartegogo reacted to likeohmygod for a topic
Before publishing what I believe is the most desired information (an updated list of the average going rates), I wanna write some consideration about the "Overpay/Underpay question" which every couple of months, pops up in this forum...this wants to be an advice to the newbies, but also a reminder to all of us who are visiting Brazil and SA from years. September update Brazilian saunas avg range (min-max): 100-150 BRL (80-200) (SP and RJ...cut 20 reais while in other cities). Brazilian internet avg range (min-max): 250-350 BRL (200-400) Colombian avg (min-max): 80k-120k COP (70k - 160k) Dominican Republic avg (min-max): 2000 - 2800 DOP (1500 - 4000) (finders fees included, i'd say drop 500 DOP from the avg ranges to get a net value)1 point -

Hourly weather app for Thailand
GoldMember reacted to BL8gPt for a topic
I have been using "The Weather Channel" on Android and before on Windows 7 lap top for several years and it proved reliable. The lap top version is not that good now. It gives hourly forecast for the next 48 hours and daily rates for the next two weeks. It proved reliable both at home and in Pattaya, but then am there in January February when the weather is steady.1 point -
it makes sense as in old bar slowly but surely guys are becoming boring staple for many customers while in the new place they acquire novelty value. I suspect many customers are frequenting only few favorite places and are not familiar with offerings in other bars / it took me 9 trips to go to Tawan for a first time for example, I know veterans of the bar scene who never been to Moonlight, Screwboys or Jupiter /1 point

NOTE -- The Neilson Hays Library is located on Surawong Rd., about a 15-minute walk from Patpong. The Neilson Hays Library Tuesday – Sunday, 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM (closed Monday) From Khaosod English Bangkok Literature Fest This Nov. BANGKOK — Renowned Thai and international authors will gather in Bangkok for public talks to celebrate the 150th anniversary of a historic library in Silom this Nov. Bookworms are in for a much-needed intellectual and cultural treat when the Neilson Hays Library holds a free literature festival from Nov. 16 to 17 under the theme of “Bridging the World Through Letters.” 25 authors from eight countries will come together to share their thoughts on topics from democracy, disinformation, to LGBT rights. “Given that books were the genesis of the founding of our library, it seems apt that 150 years later we will be celebrating the power of letters,” president of the library Nalin Vanasin said. “We hope to create a stage for the participating literary luminaries to exchange knowledge and share their experiences, as well as showcase Thai creative arts for international audiences.” Among the list are big names like Adam Johnson, the American novelist who won the Pulitzer Prize in 2013 for his North Korea-inspired novel “The Orphan Master’s Son.” Also in attendance will be Qiu Xiaolong, the Chinese English-language poet whose crime-mystery novel “Death of a Red Heroine” earned him the prestigious Anthony Award. Southeast Asian Writers award (SEA Write) winners from Thailand will also be featured, including novelist Uthis Haemamool, and the poets Duanwad Pimwana and Zakariya Amataya. The festival will also include a small art and crafts market, workshops, and film screenings from the Documentary Club. Neilson Hays Library was founded by a group of American and British wives of missionaries in 1869 as a book sharing club. In 1922 it moved to the present neoclassical building, designed by the Italian architect behind Hua Lamphong Railway Station, Mario Tamagno, and has continued to serve local and expat members ever since. There are more than 17,000 books in the library’s collection, mostly in English. Event program and presentations https://web.neilsonhayslibrary.com/literature-festival/ The “Neilson Hays Bangkok Literature Festival” will run from Nov. 16 to 17 at Neilson Hays Library on Surawong Road. Panel discussions will be conducted in Thai and English with translations. Entry is free. The venue is reachable by a 15 minute walk from BTS Chong Nonsi exit No. 4. http://www.khaosodenglish.com/life/2019/09/12/read-all-about-it-bangkok-literature-fest-this-nov/1 point -
Mileroticos/Colombia caution alert
brockmiller reacted to Riobard for a topic
I took a few weeks to research a longlist of 15 Bogotá ads, really appealing pics, entered their #s Whatsapp, then reverse searched each number in Google. This procedure brought up several current and dated ads, but the kicker is when opening Google-sourced ads pulled up under that phone number it was often different guy different pics, or an ad with a different number listed even though Google had searched a number I entered. No spreadsheet can do justice to this display of musical ads, musical guys, musical pics, musical contact info ... I assume musical fakes, flakes and scams, while you waste your time and energy playing musical chairs cuz your bum hurts spending so much screen time in one position. Two guys asked for cash advance, another red flag. I think that maybe 3 (20%) are authentic. Buyer beware, vet thoroughly and carefully, and meet in public first. One authentic guy with whom I have have had extensive contact, ID sharing etc, admitted himself to have 2 cellular numbers.1 point -

It'll take a while. I had to fill out a TM6 card two nights ago when flying into Chiangmai from Seoul. That's actually easy as hell and shouldn't be a bother to anybody (what the heck else do you have to do while on a long flight?). The new fingerprinting deal is a minor bit of hassle....and, frankly, one would think that they'd wipe off the scanners every time somebody slaps their four right fingers, four left fingers, and then their two thumbs on the glass scanner. I'm not a germaphobe but I can't help but think that it's a bit unsanitary. As for the TM30, I suppose it depends on where you live in Thailand as to how much of a hassle it is. Plus some people don't understand the difference between filing an original TM30 and updating it. Here in Chiangmai, they do require the original filing for your residence and it's actually relatively easy to do once you have the correct documents (in a landlord situation, one needs a copy of the landlord's Thai ID and either a copy of the landlord's deed and/or tabien baan). As for updating here in Chiangmai, it is currently required only upon re-entering the country (travelling and staying within country doesn't require any updating) and it's extremely easy as you simply present your passport. And it's fast (I updated yesterday morning and was in and out in about 4 minutes).1 point -

Hi rtu123, Thanks so much for the trip report - I think you did an excellent job. Everytime you quoted the cost/price for something - I enter it into a currency converter and and outloud would say "OH MY GOD"! Everything seems so reasonably priced. I also liked that you included some of the not so fun stuff. Your report really helped me imagine what kind of fun and expectations I would have there. So thanks again! Excellent report!1 point -
you got all that right great night for us too !!! Z mentioned you many times so obviously he enjoyed conversation with you as well. To bad you were departing that night as I'm not that possessive and would let him to have coffee, perhaps even with cream cream with you if requested , Stay tuned as there will be more of those two.1 point

It was good to be a small part of your day 9 and thanks for the suggestion of going to top of Maha Nakhon and being so welcoming. I really add to your endorsement. It is so much fun seeing all the sites and also looking down on the local haunts. I spotted a big swimming pool on soi 3 (not the Trinity one which is my usual go to) and as a daily swimmer when in Bkk will now try to find it to test out. The boys adore it up there as it creates a film set backdrop feel for their selfie life. spoon was also good at spotting local sites especially zooming in on the roof of local sauna. I think he should report on what he found under that roof In Z you really had a lovely guy with a personality as big as the tower we visited who was so fitted into the fun of our group. So great to read more about your time with him. LAST FULL DAY Van is a "windmill" sleeper. Which means if he starts with his head toward the bed's headboard, he will be completely turned around by the morning. Over the years, I've learned to adapt - but at one point, I just got up and moved around to the other side of the bed. I was up early and decided to go to Starbucks and look for Michael's prince. If he's wasn't there, then a hot beverage will do. A hot beverage it was! Back at the Tarntawan, I checked the news online, flagged some emails that had dates that I'll add to my calendar once I'm home. If I enter them in Bangkok the dates will move by a day at home. (I know there is a workaround but this is easier). Van was up by nine. We showered together. He was hungry and so we went downstairs where he filled up. He told me he was happy to stay with me all day - mentioning we coud go shopping. I reminded him that I was heading out to meet a friend in an hour and would say goodbye then. Back in the room, he told me that work was hard, that he was getting older and was thinking of going bc to work in the clubs - I confirmed that this came up after he talked with Peter last night. I gave him a LT tip more for the memories and company. We left and I headed to Jim Thompson's to meet up with DivineMadman. We had planned to meet at Kika's for its gay friendly vibe, but it doesn't open early on Sunday. So Jim Thompson's cafe on Surawong became out fall back. I arrived a few minutes early and wandered around looking at the quality of the prices. Beautiful and so were some of the garments. We had a fun lunch, I can't remember what I had, but it was tasty. We were both happy to see that the dining area had a mixed crowd...I think we both were apprehenisve that it was a "ladies who brunch" spot, so happy to learn it wasn't. We caught up on friends who were due to be in Bangkok, news of things we follow, and of course, new massage places. And then it was time to go and DevineMadman knows the territory and disappeared out an unmarked door. I walked around a bit, but was somewhat bored. That ceased when I saw Toey was available for a massage at Amolir...pleasant way to fill in 90 minutes. Back at the hotel, I took a shower an changed...after all, one should be in good running order when about to meet Vinapu. We've messaged backed and forth but never had our Thai sojourns coincide. He was right on time for at our rendezvous, which was the lobby of the Tarntawan. We each gave a condensed version of how our visits were going, Spoon arrived a few minutes later and more catching up and sharing. It was here that I learned that Yoyo was a favorite for each one of us! At some point we headed out to Madrid for some food. Pizzas all around. We checked out the Patpong I clubs noting one had already closed since my May visit. We had decided on Moonlight to begin/maybe end our evenings. Please note I am refraining from reporting on comments or expressions made by Vinapu and Spoon...that is for them to put in their reports. I steered us to the Moonlight alleyway where the former Hot Male tout known as bandana man works...he was happy to see customers that would earn him merit in Moonlight accounting and conducted us to the entrance. Once inside, a mamsan who knew one or all of us positioned us nicely to see the stage, the stars, etc. It was at the end of the row that is in front of the stage but with the walkway separating the bleacher seats behind us. I will let the others share their views, Vinapu has already posted some comments and Spoon has replied with details - that make sense if one was there. I checked with the mamasan to see if my multiple off from May was working, I showed him a photo, and, alas, he had gone home to his home home. The rotation is going on, I had noticed two boys in the rotation and was discussing their pros and cons with the mamsan. Spoon was also in his own discussion with the mamasan. I called over one of the boys who had caught my attention. Mamsan told me "gay, does everything"...this is a phrase I have learned not to believe, so we talked a bit and I decided why not...a bit younger and twinkier than my usual, but...so after some more conversation with Vinapu (Spoon was engaged), we headed out once the boy was dressed. We got the hotel which since he knew to have his ID out and where to show it, I assume he'd been before. Up in the room, we went through the motions but there was no spark to ignite the night...that and he had just had his braces installed...a metal edged sucking could not take place.for safety reasons. We both came quickly, I said thanks, gave him the ST tip and headed out with him. Vinapu later told me he wondered a bit when he saw the boy back in the rotation when the Moonlight show ended. I headed over to Hot Male Bar to let my spirits be soothed by the bar boys. After buying then some drinks, I asked the rounder faced Lao if he's like an off. I told his friend, who I'd off'd in the past that I wanted something new. He laughed and then in Lao updated my boy's bank about my likes and joys. Headed back to hotel. This spur of the moment decision was one of my best. Cute, tight body, and well coached as to what could/would/did get me off. He stayed several hours beyond a short time and we (me) had time to explore...His energy level made his bed activities relentlessly fulfilling. We parted and since I was so pleased and he was my last off this trip, I gave him an LT tip. I hope he's still around when I return in November. Up Monday morning, skipped the breakfast at the hotel, checked out, and - as noted in my hotel report - didn't have to wait for the room to be checked for snack and beverage consumption. I retraced my BTS route to the airport. Checked in to receive my boarding pass and used the monk line to speed through immigration and customs. I din't have breakfast as I had access to a Thai airways lounge. No holdup in departure I thought there might be as the Hong Kong airport has been a target for disruption the night before...the protestors only got to the subway stations but no one knew what might happen. At HK airport, the hotel pickup had been moved to a more secure spot, at the hotel (airport Marriott) I was greeted with a letter from the manager recommending guests to allow four (4) hours to access the terminal before our flights !!!!! I had some food in the Marriott Club...a bit boring, ditto breakfast the next morning. When the shuttle bus dropped me off at the terminal there was what appeared to be a mile long rope line to access the one open entrance. I was so early that I was within a fw hundred people of the entrance. Boarding pass and passports required. Everyone need to be spoken to and documents checked by security personnel. While inching forward, I noted that younger travelers and those looking to be Chinese were spending more than a short while with security. After about 20 minutes, I gave my documents to the security guy, he gave them right back without looking and said "have a nice flight". Just because I'm an older farang I was waived through. Guess, I don't meet the HK demonstrator criteria. Checked in, very few travelers in immigration or customs, I was in the United lounge 20 minutes after I passed security and heading home. There were no moe than a dozen farang types on the flight. Empty seat next to me...home... What started out as a six day trip to HK, ended up being a three day ( and lots of flying hours) excursion to Bangkok. Overall, it was a great time, especailly enjoying reconnecting with DivineMadman and meeting Vinapu and Spoon. Now I can sit back and catch up on the other reports that are filling the Forum.1 point

‘Why Are Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren Scared to Talk About Sex Work?’
Latbear4blk reacted to stevenkesslar for a topic
Thanks, Lucky and Adam. Sometimes I write to clarify things that have been stirring around in the back of my mind. Sometimes - like on this cluster of issues around decriminalization and federal attacks on rentboys - they've been stirring around for years. This thread definitely put me in writing mode. I spent the last few days reading dozens of articles to update what I know. And then I thought it through by just writing. So trigger warning: I'm going to go on and on and on. Maybe even somewhat rationally. (But I sure hope not viciously, or regrettably). If you don't like it, stop reading. Or feel happy, because you guys put me into this special mood. My intention in commenting on this thread was to try to get a read on whether there is any real interest from people who post on this website to actually do something about the decriminalization of prostitution. Bottom line: if there is, I haven't heard it yet. Like I said already, I spent years going around and around on variations of this with Daddy/Guy and a bunch of escorts who wanted to make a difference. As well as other people I was close to, like Oliver and Epigonos, and a whole cast of other characters. That included a bunch of related things. Like helping raise money to defend Jeffrey after the Rentboy bust. Or asking friends and others in our community what, if anything, they cared to do to either fund or - if need be - defend Daddy/Guy, and his websites. Or simply whether or how to continue the pool party without Guy's website to support it, if in fact the Feds came swooping down on him, like they did on Rentboy and Jeffrey. Anyone reading this has every right to disagree with me, but I believe these are all appropriate and important things to talk about. In the long run, I think it is very clear that our interests as Gay men are served best when we think and talk openly about our challenges. Like the fact that we are Gay. Or we want to be able to get married. Or we want to be able to hire a male escort. And to me, the politics forum of an escort website seems like a very appropriate place to do that. I know for a fact that Daddy spent a lot of time thinking about this. Because I was one of the people who thought about it with him. I've only met Oz once, and he can speak for himself. But my guess is he might have given a thought or two to what would happen if his website were shut down, and he found himself in a jail cell. Of course, the idea that we could have a President Warren or Sanders who would actually even give lip service to decriminalizing prostitution is a very different thing than shutting down male escort websites. That moves the ball from defense to offense. After a period of years where everything has been mostly bad news, from the Rentboy attack to FOSTA/SESTA to Trump, I would love nothing more than to actually see a Democratic President move to decriminalize prostitution. Or even just start a serious debate about it. My reason for going on and on about the same sex marriage fight is this: I think we actually know a lot about winning as a community. We have more power than we think we have. What you added to the mix, Lucky, basically by attacking my character, was a second positive thing. Of course, I don't think your intention was to make me feel good, Lucky. While this is not what you said verbatim, I think your point is I'm the kind of guy who turns on my friends. Actually, it was worse than that. You didn't even use the word "friends". Again, this isn't what you said verbatim. But the basic idea I took away is you think I'm a greedy and/or unprincipled whore, and I turn on clients like Ollie and Eppie after they stop paying me money. (I assume this kind of alleged behavior is what mvan meant when he used the word "vicious".) Geez, thanks Lucky. And I mean that. One of the things I like about you is that, like me, you are willing to be blunt and just put it out there. Which was, in fact, my point in talking about Epigonos and Oliver and Daddy. I have no problem whatsoever talking about what I and others were and were not willing to do relating to attacks on our community, and the websites tied to it. I'm not being quite as blunt as you. But it seems like we agree that you should just put it out there. Beyond that, while your persona is grumble grumble grumble, bark bark bark, I have always viewed you as a passionate and principled fighter - again, I think like me. So I assume where you are coming from is that you care about Oliver and Epigonos (and perhaps even Daddy), as do I. If my female intuition is correct, good for you. That said, you are completely wrong in your character attack. You don't seem to know what you are talking about. And what you said is insulting. (For the record, I would not say "vicious" though. I think you're a sweetheart underneath the bark, Lucky - just like Bernie, for example). Your attack did lead me to take a mostly pleasant trip down memory lane, relating to Oliver and Epigonos and Daddy/Guy and the pool party. Some of this stuff I haven't thought about for years. And reflecting on about five years of events made me feel good about a series of decisions and actions I've taken over those years, relating to friends and community. Some of my memories are probably ones Ollie or Eppie would prefer I keep to myself. So I'll mention only a few things as I ramble, mostly to rebut your ignorance. I can also relate the whole cluster of issues I just named back to what Adam actually started this thread about: meaning what Warren and Sanders are up to right now. I love what Elizabeth and Bernie are doing. Here's how I tie it all together. The question and the challenge Warren and Sanders are both raising is this: what does it mean to be part of a community that gets in the trenches and fights together, for things that we care deeply about? And Lucky's post at least partially dovetails on that: what does it mean to be a friend who has your back, as opposed to turning on you? On the issues Warren and Sanders are prioritizing - like political corruption, universal health care, middle class stagnation, and corporate greed - a big part of their point is that we all need to jump into the trenches and fight. And millions of people are saying they will. That could mean donating money (I have), volunteering (I will), or just being one of the millions saying, "I am with you. I will vote for you. I believe you have my back, so I'll have your's." That's also, by the way, how we won same sex marraige. My analogy above was that millions of powerless ants like me jumped into the trenches together, and fought and won. That's how I think about this cluster of issues from the Rentboy bust to the decriminalization of prostitution, as well. I know I could have been much shorter and simpler and way more PC, Adam. I could have simply said, "Ain't it a shame. Warren and Sanders should make decriminalization a priority, and be talking it up more. Shame on them." But play that out. Here's a pleasant thought. What if either one of them actually wins? Or what if we have a President Pete? As a Gay President, he could say that Gay men should be able to both marry the man of their dreams, and hire the escort of their choice. Wouldn't that be nice? And then they can call in Daddy, our Fairy Godfather. And he will waive pixie dust and chant chants and - presto! - prostitution will be decriminalized. I just had an orgasm writing that. I hope some of you guys did, too. In truth, though, it is actually more of a wet dream. So dream on. Adam, I interacted a lot with you for years on Daddy's website. You're hardly a political neophyte. So I don't think it's a shocker to you or anyone that even if they wanted to be leaders on the issue of decriminalization, Warren or Sanders would need a huge number of followers behind them. Leaders are in fact defined as people who have followers. So who are the followers on this issue? Who will jump into the trenches and fight for decriminalization? You? Me? Anybody? Nobody? If the answer is nobody, sorry. We lose. So then let's just not even bother. And let's not expect Warren or Sanders to start a fight we can't win. That's exactly why I think it's relevant and appropriate to say on a website like this that in my experience, possible leaders - like Oliver and Epigonos, among others - made it very clear how they feel. Their answer was: not me. I won't fight. If that means the website and the party go away, I'm okay with it. It was fun while it lasted. And sorry, Lucky, saying this is not turning on them. I made a point of calling the question with them, to their faces, when the three of us were peas in a pod, planning and executing the pool party together for several years. I anticipated their decision, and respected it. I'm glad they were clear. And I posted about it on Daddy's at the time. I actually thought it was a really important discussion to have. And by the way, I was not alone. Especially after the Rentboy bust, there was lots of open talk about how maybe in a year there would no longer be a review website, or a Boytoy. Maybe this would be the final pool party. Maybe Daddy would be in jail. I get where the reactions were coming from. I also made a point to ask people I respected how they felt. And I listened. I used a phrase in an earlier post that was almost a verbatim quote. One of the guys who has come to the pool party for years said something like this: "At times like this, the best thing to do is keep your head down, and hope the storm passes." This was a conversation among a small group. And when he said that, everyone around him was shaking their head "yes" in agreement. The bumper sticker went like this, in my mind: "Be afraid. Be very afraid." There's a variation of this theme that I think is also important to talk about, that came from several Gay men who'd had more experience in political activism. Their point was that if we fight, sometimes it can backfire and leave us even worse off. One good example of that is Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Bill Clinton definitely stirred up a hornet's nest. His intent (in his words) was to help Gays that got him elected. But it ended up, in the view of many Gay activists, doing more harm than good. We were not prepared for the reaction. And we (and Clinton) lost badly. So I think that's relevant to Warren and Sanders and a President Pete, too. Assume one of them will win in 2020, and pick a fight over decriminalization. Isn't now the time to be thinking about what it actually would take to win? Why start a fight that we can't win? I see several reasons to feel optimistic. We've come a very long way from Don't Ask, Don't Tell. The fact that we can even think about the idea of a President Pete means that maybe now you can have an openly Gay Commander In Chief, who wants to jump in the trenches and fight for his country. You can definitely now have an openly Gay man fall in love and marry the man of his dreams. And both can be highlighted on the cover of TIME, because one of them jumped in the trenches and is running for President. Here's one happy way to think about that, for those of you who watched the last Democratic debate. We're now at Please Ask, And I Will Tell. Mayor Pete was asked a question about resilience. And he hit a grand slam. He spoke emotionally and powerfully about fighting for his country. And through that experience coming to terms with the fact that it was time to come out and tell the world he wanted to marry the man of his dreams. Mayor Pete is a one man university on something we learned fighting for same sex marriage: open your heart, and you move people. I'll repeat what I said earlier. We didn't win the battle of the year, or decade, or century. We won the battle of millenia on same sex marriage. We overcame thousands of years of oppression and discrimination grounded in things like religion and culture. And we did it by getting in the trenches together and fighting. And we fought, fiendishly (or was it friendishly?), by opening our hearts. And by the way, these exact same concerns were all part of the same sex marriage fight. I was not present on the ground floor on same sex marriage. I didn't really start volunteering a lot until 2008, when we lost the California initiative. But even then, which was sort of late in the game, there were still many Gay men saying this would backfire, and make things worse for us. Well, sorry. They were wrong. Others say we only won because of the lawyers and the judges. They argue organizing didn't matter, because we won in court. But guess what? Some of the lawyers and judges themselves point out we only started to win most of those court battles when we reached the tipping point, when a majority of Americans actually supported same sex marriage. I'd actually turn that around. If there had been a massive uprising when Rentboy was attacked, and everybody came out of the woodwork and ranted and marched and said this is political oppression against Gay men, Jeffrey might never have gone to jail. Judges are politicians, too. You of course know that, Lucky. I think what we do, or don't do, matters a lot. On same sex marriage, we moved the country from massive opposition to overwhelming support. But it started out small, even weak. So my point was not and is not to "turn on" or beat up Oliver or Epigonos, or anyone that comes to any pool party or chimes in on any escort website. My point is that we ought to be clear about whether anyone is actually willing to do anything. If Oliver and Epigonos would rather jump in the pool than the political trenches, that's their call. I told that to them when they said, "Nope. Not me." As I said above, it's not like Daddy/Guy wasn't thinking about this, and didn't get the message, anyway. I'm quite sure he was thinking about it. I'll repeat what I said in a prior post. He talked a great line, at least one on one. He was not afraid of going to jail, and he'd fight like hell. But actions always speak louder than words. So I couldn't help noticing that immediately after the Rentboy bust, he started to take a whole set of defensive moves. The review website split from the forum, he changed his identity to Guy, and things just got way more conservative. I heard almost constant bitching and moaning for a long time about how the reviews got watered down so much that they were basically useless. And sorry, Guy, if you are reading this. I may not be the best organizer. But your instincts are anti-organizing. You like to keep things secretive and small, so you can control them. That's exactly the opposite of what organizing is. The thing all the best organizers I've ever worked with have tried to do is start a huge fire, and hope it rages out of control. You know you might win when it gets to be so big and hot that you can barely control it any longer. (See Trump election, 2016, for an excellent recent example.) Good organizer or not, though, I'm pretty sure Guy was smart enough to read the handwriting on the wall, anyway, and cover his ass. And I don't blame him. At the margin, I helped him do it. Being a good former lobbyist, I actually read the entire US Senate floor debate on FOSTA/SESTA. If you don't think talking to US Senators matters, take a few hours and read the debate. (Remarkably, this post is like a short Trump tweet by comparison.) Because it's as if the whole issue boiled down to one person: a female underage prostitute who had been trafficked and murdered. The dead girl's Mom was a very effective lobbyist. Her daughter was probably mentioned over dozens of pages, by Senator after Senator. She became the poster child for why we needed the law. So the fine print of Guy's website now has language that specifically says it is the kind of website FOSTA/SESTA was never intended to hurt. At least according to people like Sen. Schumer, who argued the bill would of course never hurt websites that support "harm reduction" communities, for example. So Guy's website is now all about "harm reduction". And if the worst case scenario ever happens, and he gets busted, Guy will hopefully just need help paying for a good lawyer. And that lawyer can go to court and argue, among other things, that a whole bunch of US Senators said FOSTA/SESTA was specifically never intended to hurt websites like his. At least according to the actual words of the Senators who voted for the bill. If all people want to do is keep their head down, that works for me. And I'll say it again. I don't blame Guy - or anyone - for focusing only on defense. Just make sure you can pay for a really good lawyer, Guy, in case you need one. And that leads to the most painful set of points I want to make about jumping in the trenches and fighting as a community on this issue. What the fuck was that whole Rentboy thing about? Other than the last few days, I haven't thought about it for a long time. And it still doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I never met Jeffrey, who ran Rentboy. I never advertised on Rentboy. And I never made a dime off his website. It would have been the easiest thing in the world for me to say, "Jeffrey who? And why do I care that he was busted? Really? Who gives a shit?" I called Daddy years ago when he posted one of his frequent pleas about his financial difficulties. I asked him if he wanted help, and he said yes, thanks. I ended up working with him to raise pledges that I think (or at least hope) added up to tens of thousands of dollars over a couple of years. The reason is simple: I felt like I owed him. The website Hooboy started, and that Daddy and Oz both sort of continued, was very, very good to me. I felt like I should do what I could to give back. I'm pretty sure Daddy was able to build a few years of relative financial stability and move from a small apartment to a larger one in part because of the efforts I initiated. If true, I feel good about that. And more importantly, any good that happened was because of the underlying generosity of many of us who hang out on his website, and pledged to give $25 or $50 or $100 or month, or whatever. Including Oliver and Epigonos. Epigonos, to his credit, had always made it a point to help out Daddy for years. So partly I was actually just following his lead. That's not the same as winning same sex marriage, or decriminalizing prostitution. But it is something to be proud of as a community. And it goes back to the same basic theme Warren and Sanders are pushing: what are we willing to get into the trenches and fight for together, as a community? And if part of your point about me, Lucky, is that I am a money grubbing whore who made lots of money whoring, I'll happily plead guilty to that. I'm proud of it. And I'm proud to talk with any US Senator or anyone in the world about it, and argue that's why we should decriminalize prostitution now: Leading male escort Steven Kesslar argues the Department of Homeland Security’s raid on Rentboy.com has made America more dangerous Daddy was my editor on that article. And I actually had a series of articles half written, and at least one commitment by a major Gay media outlet to publish them as long as I wrote them for free. But when it became clear the Rentboy thing was a political non-starter that was actually dividing us and freaking out friends and clients of mine, I figured: what's the point? That said, I think we have a boatload of great arguments just waiting to be made. I'd be quite happy to see us make them. Directly. Like to United States Senators. My college professor, friend, and mentor, Paul Wellstone, and his wife Sheila, were behind the most effective anti-trafficking law ever passed by the US Senate. So if somebody wants to call me a big old whore, I'll gladly take the bait and go off very eloquently to Chuck or Bernie or Elizabeth or whoever about how we need to follow Paul and Sheila's lead if we really want to help all the innocent women and children and laborers who are trafficked and abused and raped and even murdered every year. Ten Years Later: Remembering Senator Paul Wellstone When I took my trip down memory lane, I actually was amused with myself that I took what i did that far. If other people in the community were willing to fight, I would have gone much, much further. Blame it on Paul, who I learned to be a passionate and loud political whore from. My Rentboy experience actually started when I got a call from another escort, who said he was putting together a group of "respected" escorts (okay, so I guess there is such a thing) to raise money in Jeffrey's defense. Would I be willing to be part of it? To me the ask was Community Organizing 101. When your community is under attack, you defend it. Period. What I found very sad was the level of vitriol and venom leveled at anybody - including all of us escorts - who actually wanted to defend Jeffrey and Rentboy. One thing I thought about a lot at the time was this: why did so many people who spent so much time looking at and hiring off Rentboy turn their back on Jeffrey the minute he got busted? And we know one obvious answer, of course: fear. To their credit, Epigonos and Oliver were not two of those people. They both gave money to defend Jeffrey. But even that was awkward. I could tell they didn't really approve of the effort. But they were doing it because they were my friends. Eppie basically told me that. So good for him. But even with them, I had to wonder: why is this so difficult? I can't tell you the number of times I was over at Eppie's place and he called me over to his computer. He wanted me to look at the photos of some escort on Rentboy that he had hired, or wanted to hire. So it seemed like asking him to defend Rentboy should have been a no brainer. And I know that money was not an issue. Lots of you guys happily pay a small amount of change every month to subscribe to one kind of porn website or another. And it goes without saying that most are willing to pay for rentboys themselves. Or are in a position to contribute because they are rentboys. So why is this so hard? The NRA, for example, seems to have an easy time spending gazillions to defend the right to own AK-47's. I personally don't see how defending the hiring of rentboys is worse than defending the right of gun owners to use weapons of war to kill lots of people. I'm with Beto on this one. Hell yeah, I'd much rather take away the old men's AK-47s than the hot young muscle guys on the escort websites. I would actually love it if some sociologist could comment authoritatively on what that Rentboy thing was about. But, upon reflection, I personally think it boils down to identity politics. I know a certain conservative I won't name who used to call me all the time, to rant about how he had had quite enough of Black Lives Matter, and all this racism stuff, and trigger warnings, and the whole seeming cluster fuck of "identity politics". I look back at that now and realize there was a whole lot of that going around. And I should have figured out all that could, and in fact did, lead to a political party that fell in love with someone like Donald J. Trump. Well, guess what, folks? I think the identity politics formula works both ways. There's an identity politics to the people I know who hire escorts, too. They tend to be of a certain generation. Lots of them are Gay liberals. But many of them tend to be conservative. Many of them are still closeted. So they are mostly not the type that see themselves as Gay activists. They are not going to march through West Hollywood like I did to oppose the Rentboy bust, or speak to the media. For all these reasons and more, they actually would be the perfect people to go meet with their Congressperson to talk about the decriminalization of prostitution. They could present themselves as moderates, Republicans, former school teachers, former government officials. Again, it was exactly when people like that starting speaking up - both publicly and privately - about the importance of same sex marriage that we actually started to win. Will that happen? Probably not. I think it's an identity issue. That's a picture frame I think many older guys who hire escorts would have a very hard if not impossible time seeing themselves in. It is still a very weird thing. I suppose you could argue I turned on a client and friend by wanting him to have the back of a guy who ran an escort website he relied on constantly. But that seems wrong. I suppose you could argue guys who used Rentboy constantly to hire turned on me, as well as our community, by finding it so challenging to support an effort to stand up and fight for our community. But that seems wrong, too. Like I said, I'm still not sure I have words for what happened. But I don't really think anybody turned on anyone. I think it's more emotionally honest to say people felt like they were being pushed to be someone or something they just couldn't be. I definitely think we were unprepared. And I think it was clear that many people felt the whole thing was very painful. And very, very conflicted. And Adam, if you think we want a President Warren or a President Sanders or a President Pete to be advocating for the decriminalization of prostitution, for all the reasons I stated in the last paragraph, we ought to be thinking and talking about this right now. The 2020 Democratic Candidates Who Voted in Favor of SESTA/FOSTA We would absolutely need to talk about identity, meaning who we are and what we stand for. And we would need to talk about what we are willing to get in the trenches and fight for together - as friends, or as a community. If nobody really wants to do that, fine. But then we're right back to Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Which is a perfectly fine policy, thank you, if all you want to do is discreetly hire a rentboy. It's not okay if your goal is to decriminalize prostitution. If we don't want to talk and organize, then I mostly agree with Eppie and Ollie. It is probably simply wiser not to fight at all. So unless I am missing something, it is also probably wiser to give Warren and Sanders a pass. Why would anyone want them to start a fight we can't possibly win, because we won't get in the trenches and fight with them? Better to just keep our heads down, and hope they leave us alone. Thank you again, guys. This has been enlightening. If there's going to be any more efforts on this issue, I concluded long ago that Guy's website is probably not a particularly good place to talk about it, or organize it. I'm getting the feeling that this is not the place, either. Mostly what spending a few days thinking about this reinforced for me is that I'd be perfectly happy to be in the trenches with President Warren or President Sanders or President Pete, fighting for a bunch of other things. Like the right of people who were unfortunate enough to get cancer (my brother died of it a few years ago) to continue to get health insurance. That sort of thing is why Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of The House again. I'll be happy to continue to work and give money for that. Maybe people who hire escorts just want to keep their head low and avoid any trouble. And maybe that actually means neither one of us have much of anything to offer right now, Lucky. Maybe nobody wants to be barked at, and nobody wants to fight or defend anything. Maybe they just want to jump in the pool, and have fun. Having hosted the pool party for several years, and having had a great long ride as a happy hooker, I can certainly appreciate that. And if that's true, have fun guys. Hopefully the waters will just stay calm for a very long time.1 point -

I'm glad you found something I wrote informative and interesting. There's about 20 years of context and friendships and relationships embedded in the post, which might not be clear. So I feel like I should correct what may be a wrong impression. I don't think any of this has to do with people who "met" online. Unless you mean somebody who read one of like 90 very favorable reviews of me and hired me for 15 years or so, during which time we became close friends. So, for example, one of the friends referred to here is someone I've travelled with throughout Mexico at least twice a year with for 15 years or so. Another friend is someone I have known for about as long, and invited to stay at my house for a month when he was recovering a serious illness. None of these are things I would even remotely describe as "something vicious or at a minimum, regrettable." Not to me, at least. It's more like 15 years of friendship, compassion, and empathy. Again, at least to me. This will be followed by a much longer post which might provide more context. There may be something regrettable going on here. But if that is so, it is between Lucky and me. And we didn't meet online, either. And my sense is whatever is going on between Lucky and me is based on ignorance, which appears to relatively recent, and relatively minor. Anyhoo, thanks for your thoughts and glad to know I said something interesting.1 point -

to tomcal understood. no beach guys. i just thought what if I take one to a sex hotel the problem is that sometimes I need sex in the first half of a day so badly that my brain is melting1 point -
For the most part that is true! Guys are usually there with friends. I think all of us who are “veterans” of Brazil have picked up a guy or Three off the beach but definitely not for people who are new or not well acquainted with the Rio scene! i would highly recommend you stick to the sauna selections until you get to know some of the garotos well and they can advise you. i gave this same advise to two guys from LA a few years ago, they were both in their 40’s, well built and gdlkg, and had travelled a lot, they of course didn’t listen to my advise and were staying at the Copacabana Palace. they went to the beach, picked up a couple of guys they spent the afternoon with at the beach and then invited them back to their hotel! they awoke the the next morning with a headache from the “Boa Noite Cinderella” they had ingested and with everything of value stolen including clothes, shoes, etc. this in a hotel that has more stringent security then most! It makes no difference if you are gdlkg, well built, younger, they are not interested in you but only in what you have! i have a apartment full of guys staying with me when i am in Rio or SP, BUT...I have 1)either known them for a long time or 2) they are referred by someone i trust 3)they are vouched for by one of my regulars! is this fool proof? nope nothing is but it certainly reduces your risk significantly! i have been doing this since i started using Airbnb’s around 2009 and have never had a problem(and that is a fairly large number of guys!) have fun!1 point

Rio and SP

REPORT: In the past year i have been to Sao Paulo quite a lot but have done a terrible job at reporting here. but i will try and do a better job henceforth. I suck at writing so bear with me RIO: I arrived in Rio on Wednesday 9/4 around 1030 got to my airbnb in Ipanema 1200, took a shower and went for my spa appointment which i had previously set up with https://www.solaryunspamasculino.com.br I opted for total hair removal, exfoliation and four hands tantric massage. The tantric massage was done by Joao and Douglas, it was a good massage with a happy ending but contrary to experience in Sao Paulo there was no sex so i was slightly disappointing but I have to maintain that the massage was really good. Instead of going out to the sauna after that I hauled my lazy arse home and slept like a baby. Woke up and to do some work before flying to Sao Paulo for my meeting at USP. Sao Paulo: Got to Sao Paulo late afternoon on Thursday 9/5 had a good dinner at hotel unique. I had initially planned to meet a guy i met on instagram for some fun but I sent him a message and he never responded so i just prepared for my meeting the following day and slept instead of going out because i wanted to be in tip top shape for my meeting in the morning. Friday morning I woke up hornier (if that is a word) than usual so i contacted a former GP who is now a gogo dancer, he stated his price, i told him to come over, when he arrived i realized i had left my condoms and lube at the airbnb in Rio so i asked him if he brought any accoutrements to which he responded in the negative. I will take the blame for this fiasco i gave him his money and asked him to go. giving him that money was very hard as a matter of principle and how unperturbed he seemed about taking money he had not earned. I went for my meeting at USP and that was very successful so that brightened my day a little bit. I had set up another spa day at https://xtudiolotus.com.br for deep facial cleansing, full body exfoliation and clay therapy, manicure, modeling massage and a four had tantric massage. This was a way better experience than at Solaryun. The tantric massage was with Jonathan and Giovani. the massage was great and needless to say it was more than a happy ending . i went home rested a little bit more and then went to Lagoa. There were some few boys that I was interested in but i have never learned to muster enough courage to go up to them so i just sat down with two clients i had met there a few trips ago. One of the guys that i liked grabbed my arse and asked if it was real to which I responded in the affirmative and I asked him his rate, we talked a little bit more and we went up to a room it was a really good session. I wanted to take him home but the bigger head won the argument https://garotocomlocal.com.br/acompanhante-masculino/lorenzo-dias/ I found his ad later. Had to wake up early Saturday morning to catch a flight back to Rio. Back to Rio: I got to Rio around 0830 and contacted https://twitter.com/EyeoftheXxx for my scheduled tour. we did a tour of Vidigal favela (which is not a really slum). We took motor taxis through the favela to get to the beginning of the trail up Morro dois irmaos. But I was slight daft and put my phone in my side pocket so it flew out of my pocket and smashed the screen into very tiny bits rendering it utterly useless. I still went ahead with the tour but so mad that i could not take any pictures of the gorgeous view of Rio on top of the hill. I liked the trek up the hill and the view was worth every step. We met two other guys; a Brazilian who stays in London and a Portuguese who grew in Mozambique, on the trail whom we started talking to. we had lunch with them in the favela after the trek and it was the most delicious meal i have had in Brazil. I went back home and slept because I was really tired. I woke up around 1800 took a shower and went to Pointe 202. It was my first time and I was like lost puppy another customer showed me around the place and told me about a drag and stripper show later that night. there were not a lot of boys that I really liked so i did not do any program with anyone but I met a bunch of clients that i talked to. I really liked pointe 202 but the music was way too loud and the owner had the AC blasting away until someone told him to turn the bloody thing off. The drag show was good. I liked it, i picked on a little bit but i could not understand anything they were saying. I have to say though there several clients at pointe 202 that night that i would have loved to get in my bed. there is something about grey hair and maturity which is such a turn on!!! one of the boys who happens to be an Uber driver offered to take me to my airbnb, he was looking for a programa but i politely refused and payed him for the trip and a little bit extra for being so polite. I woke up on Sunday morning contacted https://garotocomlocal.com.br/acompanhante-masculino/renan-dotado-2/ through imessage on my computer. I went to his place and we had a great time together. he could not speak a word of english so we used google translator. we had brunch together after. I contacted my tour guide again and we did a tour of Rocinha favela and that was really awesome and then went to Copa beach for volleyball. As I was walking back to my airbnb i saw this sexy roughly early 60s man we flirted in passing but i was running late to go to Club 117 so I could not stop to talk to him. Went home took a nice much needed shower and went to Club 117. definitely larger and nicer, more boys and a lot more that i could actually have programas with. One of the boys that could speak english showed me around and sat with me for a bit. He was different, he was not ripped liked the rest of the guys but he was really sweet. He told me he had stayed in Orlando for a bit but had to come home to help with some family issues. We got a suite and got down to business he was muito carinhoso as they say. After the programa he got dressed sat with me for a little bit and left to begin his long journey back home. I sat down to enjoy the drag show, one of the drag queens could speak english so i could laugh at some of the jokes. I need to learn more Portuguese!!! Another boy (more like a man) approached me and asked if i wanted sex, he was exactly my type, slightly older than most of the guys there a nice trimmed beard and slightly balding kkkkkk so i said yes. He was not as good as the first guy but not too bad. i paid him went downstairs and paid my tab (I got a free entrance because i won the bingo). i walked a little bit down the street to get a taxi but I walked through a bunch of streetside restaurants with a lot people so i sat there and ordered a drink. It was fun observing people. I got home woke up the following morning but because I did not have a phone i could not get in touch with many of the GPs that i had planned or had been suggested to me and that was a bummer. So i walked to Rua Farme de Amoedo and did a little shopping to drown my sorrows. But I remembered the Uber driver that took me from the airport had an Iphone and he was handsome with a baby face so when i got back home I sent him an Imessage from my computer and asked him if he could take me to the airport later that day and I also risked it and asked him if he wanted to do a programa. That was stupid but it worked. he came by an hour later and we had a great time!!! After he left took a walk on Avenida Atlantico, had a late lunch and then went back home to pack and wait for the driver. @lopesv2 thanks for all the recommendations as usual. I could have bought another phone but the new Iphone is out this week so i decided not to waste money. Will be back in Brazil SaoPaulo for a meeting 15th to 17th October and Rio 17th to 22nd. but my next stop is Abu Dhabi next week for work, wish me luck. kindly shoot me a message or just respond here if you have any questions.1 point -
American Airlines - a major carrier from the U.S. to Brazil
brockmiller reacted to msclelovr for a topic
You’re not alone @RA1 I am very particular about “who I ride on” but that’s me, I’m a demanding top with a dominant streak. Also I am very fussy about which airlines I use. Safety records do differ.1 point -
I don't suppose we all really do not want to know what goes on behind the scenes at airline maintenance, do we? In summary, various airlines have different levels of "approved" maintenance. I have said before and I will say again, I prefer US airlines, not so much for their sterling maintenance but for the US system of ATC. I will and have ridden foreign carriers. However, the list is limited. BA, CP, ANZ, SA, AF and a few others are on my preference list. Plus a few others. As an insider I have to say it is all too easy to get past the various safeguards extant. That makes it obvious why I prefer to choose who I ride on. Best regards, RA11 point

Barcelona (Thermas) 2019 latest recommendations
axiom2001 reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
I thought it was just me. I’m glad to read there’s another poster who has issues with the dim lighting at Sauna Thermas. I enjoyed my week at Thermas, and I’m making another one within the month. Howeve, those of us who have trouble with adjusting their vision to dark spaces will have a tougher time of it. I prefer well-lit areas, especially when it comes to selecting someone who I need to be visually and physically turned on by for a romp. I totally hate dark rooms for that very reason (and experience has taught me that the less physically appealing the prospect, the more they prefer dim lighting). It took me a few days to adjust to the lack of lighting in the cruise areas and the bar areas of the sauna. Even the stairwells were dark. However, after the rough vision adjustment, I enjoyed the sauna. Outside of Brazil, it’s the best of its kind. And yes, the UN variety is a plus.1 point -
I hope you'll report back on your visit. I will be back (4th time) in October. The only time I found the place dead was on a Monday night 2 years ago, and the staff agreed that's their slowest night. But then just when I thought I would crap out, a dark lean Panamanian with a long thin dangler sidled up next to me in the shower. He led me to his Cuban (black) friend who had one of the thickest squattest cocks I've ever seen, and we quickly agreed to a 3-way. It was like having the Laurel and Hardy of black cocks! So you just never know, as I think we were the only 3 people there, but a good time was still had by all. The 3 way was a rarity. Last year, I proposed one to a scrumptious petite Venezuelan and a strapping Brazilian, both light-skinned and beautiful. (I have a contrast theme going.) They said they had to charge me double because they'd have to fuck each other. So I went with just the hunk, intending to hook up with the smooth petite one later but never did. Since these were the only times I tried a 3-way in BCN, I don't know if that pricing is a new business angle (I pray to god it doesn't spread, esp. to brazil!) or whether they just didn't want another guy in the room. There's still a bit of posturing among the working boys so some might not want their friend or competition to know exactly how far they'd go in the cabin. BCN is definitely #3 in the world after the 2 big Brazilian scenes. I like the variety there. My United Nations of Barcelona has included, in addition to the above, Brazil, Hungary, Dominican Republic, Algeria, Colombia, Romania, Italy, and Spain. Yes, I've seen Spaniards there though much less recently than on my first trip 12 years ago, when I had a genuine Kristen Bjorn performer that I had actually already violated every which way in video. On the downside, I find the guys at Thermas pushier than those in SP, though only 1 or 2 are truly ceaseless. And I don't like the darkness. Thermas is lit like an American cruise bathhouse, not the bright and open Brazilian boydellos. I wasn't looking for guys who needed to be improved by kind lighting, and in fact it was counterproductive for them because I ignored many guys who turned out to be stunning once I saw them in the well lit spots like the bathroom.1 point
