  1. Day 8 In the morning we felt hungry and went for breakfast. It was not included in the rate so extra charge 200 or 250 / I don’t recall exactly / was to be paid but offering was pretty rich. No, I did not have enough of Z’s company so I asked him if we can have another hour for extra tip. I just wanted to hug him a bit more as it was time to return to Bangkok. So we returned to the room , dressed for an occasion i.e. undressed and had some quiet body to body moment which produced spark of enlightenment for me . I asked him if he wants to go with me to Bangkok for 2 days and positive answer was immediate, I guess benefits of low season. I was supposed to pay 600 baht fee for two days so gave him money and told him to be ready in 1 hour. I warned him that today I’m meeting my friends so he will have time off but tomorrow we spent together, he seemed to be happy with that too. He left to pick up his stuff , I packed my suitcase and went to his bar to pick him up and we marched to airport bus station where we had good luck as next bus was in 20 minutes, enough to have a beer. Bangkok’s sky looked quite heavy and as sooon as we left BTS train at Chong Nonsi rain started . By time we hit Silom it was heavy so we parked ourselves in underpass in the building on the corner, Z went to 7/11 to buy some food and we were waiting for deluge to stop no more than 500 m from our hotel Glitz. Soi 6 was completely under water and I recalled similar situation 2 years ago when Christian and me were stuck in Super A for exactly the same reason. But it did not last forever and soon sun smiled . Glitz gave us 2 key cards so we have our freedoms but they required deposit of 500 per card which I paid. Hotel is well positioned, around the corner from Tawan so close to everywhere, room a bit on dark side but well appointed and modern with glass paneled toilet, safe was working and even lack of elevator was Ok as our room was on 2nd floor / 1st for Europeans / . At 5 p.m. I announced free time for us both. Z went to survey vicinity, we will learn later where it lead him to and I took taxi to meet somebody in soi Ruan Rudi on other side of Lumpini Park. Walked back and at 8 p.m. I walked few steps to Tarntawan where ggobkk was already waiting and spoon was supposed to arrive soon. It was my first meeting with both gentlemen but we did not have any problem with recognizing each other. Dinner time, somebody proposed Madrid Tavern , always great idea to dine in that den of spies serving fine pizza . Using the same formula I have with Christian each of us ordered different one and we shared. Somehow unanimously and right away we decided that our next step will be Moonlight so we marched there , in mouth of the soi escorted by no one less than well known bandanna tout. At 9 p.m. bar was almost empty which gave us choice of seating and we picked up seats right in front of shower enclosure. Despite only few patrons in attendance scene was full of prime material. Without exaggeration I could give my parting tip to at least half of them. There were one specimen particularly good looking with musculature of semi-god and spoon did not waste any time to call him over. Guy, lets call him A, turned out very friendly , shook our hands , click glass with us few times and seemed very happy he was engaged. I secured in having companion in the room, naïve me , made myself busy distributing few 1 red notes to guys who impressed me the most. GGoBkk found somebody to take home as well and changed seats , waving us good bye soon after. We liked the show, parade of models who then stepped down and perform vigorous dance among audience. Smart and Nut looked much better in flesh than on the pictures and Mark’s smile was even more charming . Nicky , hero of my 2 offs last October kind of looked at me and perhaps recalled something but did not make any approaching move which was good idea to avoid disappointment as I was engaged anyways and definitely not in the mood to visit some expensive club in Thong Lor like last time . Tam, Khun and Tae were absent but Babe electrified audience as always, he is born performer but I still liked spoon’s guy A better than all models. Drink 450 second drink 350, off fee for go-go 500, for models 1000. Before show finished I noticed that GGoBkk’s guy was back so I guessed our friend just wanted somebody to wipe his tears as he was leaving Bangkok in the morning. After the show Spoon and I agreed to see each other atop of MahaNakhon tomorrow afternoon where I will drag Z with me and another member jimbillp will be looking for us as well. Spoon grabbed A to show him his stamp collection and I marched to Glitz to show mine to Z. It was just past midnight but room was empty and looked not visited since we left it at 5 p.m. Obviously I was not only room’s occupant who had fun that night. I found something to do and only when I was ready to go the the bed door opened and Z danced it like straight from 7th heaven. As it turned out 7th heaven was Sauna Mania, he found the way on google and spent evening there. I will not be reporting on his relation but in his words it was ‘crazy’ and it looked that I’m not only one who admires his manly attributes. It did not stop us both from having fun together and have pretty much sleepless night. Highest order and big bonus for me for having that idea of bringing him to Bangkok with me. What a great day , day 8 was.

  2. LAST FULL DAY Van is a "windmill" sleeper. Which means if he starts with his head toward the bed's headboard, he will be completely turned around by the morning. Over the years, I've learned to adapt - but at one point, I just got up and moved around to the other side of the bed. I was up early and decided to go to Starbucks and look for Michael's prince. If he's wasn't there, then a hot beverage will do. A hot beverage it was! Back at the Tarntawan, I checked the news online, flagged some emails that had dates that I'll add to my calendar once I'm home. If I enter them in Bangkok the dates will move by a day at home. (I know there is a workaround but this is easier). Van was up by nine. We showered together. He was hungry and so we went downstairs where he filled up. He told me he was happy to stay with me all day - mentioning we coud go shopping. I reminded him that I was heading out to meet a friend in an hour and would say goodbye then. Back in the room, he told me that work was hard, that he was getting older and was thinking of going bc to work in the clubs - I confirmed that this came up after he talked with Peter last night. I gave him a LT tip more for the memories and company. We left and I headed to Jim Thompson's to meet up with DivineMadman. We had planned to meet at Kika's for its gay friendly vibe, but it doesn't open early on Sunday. So Jim Thompson's cafe on Surawong became out fall back. I arrived a few minutes early and wandered around looking at the quality of the prices. Beautiful and so were some of the garments. We had a fun lunch, I can't remember what I had, but it was tasty. We were both happy to see that the dining area had a mixed crowd...I think we both were apprehenisve that it was a "ladies who brunch" spot, so happy to learn it wasn't. We caught up on friends who were due to be in Bangkok, news of things we follow, and of course, new massage places. And then it was time to go and DevineMadman knows the territory and disappeared out an unmarked door. I walked around a bit, but was somewhat bored. That ceased when I saw Toey was available for a massage at Amolir...pleasant way to fill in 90 minutes. Back at the hotel, I took a shower an changed...after all, one should be in good running order when about to meet Vinapu. We've messaged backed and forth but never had our Thai sojourns coincide. He was right on time for at our rendezvous, which was the lobby of the Tarntawan. We each gave a condensed version of how our visits were going, Spoon arrived a few minutes later and more catching up and sharing. It was here that I learned that Yoyo was a favorite for each one of us! At some point we headed out to Madrid for some food. Pizzas all around. We checked out the Patpong I clubs noting one had already closed since my May visit. We had decided on Moonlight to begin/maybe end our evenings. Please note I am refraining from reporting on comments or expressions made by Vinapu and Spoon...that is for them to put in their reports. I steered us to the Moonlight alleyway where the former Hot Male tout known as bandana man works...he was happy to see customers that would earn him merit in Moonlight accounting and conducted us to the entrance. Once inside, a mamsan who knew one or all of us positioned us nicely to see the stage, the stars, etc. It was at the end of the row that is in front of the stage but with the walkway separating the bleacher seats behind us. I will let the others share their views, Vinapu has already posted some comments and Spoon has replied with details - that make sense if one was there. I checked with the mamasan to see if my multiple off from May was working, I showed him a photo, and, alas, he had gone home to his home home. The rotation is going on, I had noticed two boys in the rotation and was discussing their pros and cons with the mamsan. Spoon was also in his own discussion with the mamasan. I called over one of the boys who had caught my attention. Mamsan told me "gay, does everything"...this is a phrase I have learned not to believe, so we talked a bit and I decided why not...a bit younger and twinkier than my usual, but...so after some more conversation with Vinapu (Spoon was engaged), we headed out once the boy was dressed. We got the hotel which since he knew to have his ID out and where to show it, I assume he'd been before. Up in the room, we went through the motions but there was no spark to ignite the night...that and he had just had his braces installed...a metal edged sucking could not take place.for safety reasons. We both came quickly, I said thanks, gave him the ST tip and headed out with him. Vinapu later told me he wondered a bit when he saw the boy back in the rotation when the Moonlight show ended. I headed over to Hot Male Bar to let my spirits be soothed by the bar boys. After buying then some drinks, I asked the rounder faced Lao if he's like an off. I told his friend, who I'd off'd in the past that I wanted something new. He laughed and then in Lao updated my boy's bank about my likes and joys. Headed back to hotel. This spur of the moment decision was one of my best. Cute, tight body, and well coached as to what could/would/did get me off. He stayed several hours beyond a short time and we (me) had time to explore...His energy level made his bed activities relentlessly fulfilling. We parted and since I was so pleased and he was my last off this trip, I gave him an LT tip. I hope he's still around when I return in November. Up Monday morning, skipped the breakfast at the hotel, checked out, and - as noted in my hotel report - didn't have to wait for the room to be checked for snack and beverage consumption. I retraced my BTS route to the airport. Checked in to receive my boarding pass and used the monk line to speed through immigration and customs. I din't have breakfast as I had access to a Thai airways lounge. No holdup in departure I thought there might be as the Hong Kong airport has been a target for disruption the night before...the protestors only got to the subway stations but no one knew what might happen. At HK airport, the hotel pickup had been moved to a more secure spot, at the hotel (airport Marriott) I was greeted with a letter from the manager recommending guests to allow four (4) hours to access the terminal before our flights !!!!! I had some food in the Marriott Club...a bit boring, ditto breakfast the next morning. When the shuttle bus dropped me off at the terminal there was what appeared to be a mile long rope line to access the one open entrance. I was so early that I was within a fw hundred people of the entrance. Boarding pass and passports required. Everyone need to be spoken to and documents checked by security personnel. While inching forward, I noted that younger travelers and those looking to be Chinese were spending more than a short while with security. After about 20 minutes, I gave my documents to the security guy, he gave them right back without looking and said "have a nice flight". Just because I'm an older farang I was waived through. Guess, I don't meet the HK demonstrator criteria. Checked in, very few travelers in immigration or customs, I was in the United lounge 20 minutes after I passed security and heading home. There were no moe than a dozen farang types on the flight. Empty seat next to me...home... What started out as a six day trip to HK, ended up being a three day ( and lots of flying hours) excursion to Bangkok. Overall, it was a great time, especailly enjoying reconnecting with DivineMadman and meeting Vinapu and Spoon. Now I can sit back and catch up on the other reports that are filling the Forum.

  3. ADDENDUM Below is a quote from a comment I made in another topic...since it relates to my "quick visit", I thought I'd repost it here. I stayed at the "refurbished" Tarntawan for three nights. Lobby shows no change. On the upper floors the carpet has been removed from the hallways and the guest rooms. It's been replaced with simulated a hard wood floor. New beds, more comfortable than the old ones. New desk chair. I mention the chair as it didn't seem to have a way to set the height and would sink down as I sat down. Reader reported seeing water tanks being delivered. The disruption to the courtyard was noticeable with repaving and work remianing to be done on the planter - which was a bit of a construction site. I mention the water because on my first full morning there I turned on the tap to wash up after breakfast and a dark flow poured out. Same with the shower. I reported this to the weekend desk manager, who has been with the hotel for many years. He apologized and said he would alert maintenance. Well, the problem went on for several hours. BUT the staff was constantly checking and running the water until it cleared. I learned that the new water system has several tanks and the one supplying water to my room - which was at the far end of the hallway from the elevator had developed a problem. So negative on the water system and positive on the staff response. I was only at the Tarntawan for three nights from a Friday to a Monday morning. The makeup of the guests is not what it was way back when in Lukas time. There was a group of six Japanese golfers who left every morning for a different gold course. Several couples of varying ages. Breakfast buffet is the same as before. Staff is the same as it's been since the management changeover. Very willing to help and in remembering guests. When I went to check out, no one was sent to check the room for missing towels or empty bottles for the refrigerator....I don't know if this is a new policy or its just that I've been there multiple times.

  4. Awesome report!!! Brazil can get pretty addictive, I feel as though i can never get enough!!! When is your next trip. Just a side note: There are several things that you could do with a guy in Rio and in other cities in Brazil. All the things that you mentioned are in Brazil as well.

  7. It seems so many want to pay as little as possible. I can't tell you the number of times I hear ( in brasil saunas) some old guy with a 100k USD or Euro salary trying to negociate a discount from a poor boy who traveled 2 hours on a city bus to make some money selling ass or dick. Personally, I pay the asking price plus a small tip....or choose another that is in my budget. The boys also have pride and deserve respect.....

  8. For the most part that is true! Guys are usually there with friends. I think all of us who are “veterans” of Brazil have picked up a guy or Three off the beach but definitely not for people who are new or not well acquainted with the Rio scene! i would highly recommend you stick to the sauna selections until you get to know some of the garotos well and they can advise you. i gave this same advise to two guys from LA a few years ago, they were both in their 40’s, well built and gdlkg, and had travelled a lot, they of course didn’t listen to my advise and were staying at the Copacabana Palace. they went to the beach, picked up a couple of guys they spent the afternoon with at the beach and then invited them back to their hotel! they awoke the the next morning with a headache from the “Boa Noite Cinderella” they had ingested and with everything of value stolen including clothes, shoes, etc. this in a hotel that has more stringent security then most! It makes no difference if you are gdlkg, well built, younger, they are not interested in you but only in what you have! i have a apartment full of guys staying with me when i am in Rio or SP, BUT...I have 1)either known them for a long time or 2) they are referred by someone i trust 3)they are vouched for by one of my regulars! is this fool proof? nope nothing is but it certainly reduces your risk significantly! i have been doing this since i started using Airbnb’s around 2009 and have never had a problem(and that is a fairly large number of guys!) have fun!

  9. not that begs an explanation - how come YOU know, of all indeed very obscure places, Mrauk U? I wouldn't even know how to pronounce it Great report as always, impressive stamina as always, fun to read how much fun you had

  11. Ok so I rarely (if ever) write trip reports and this will be more of a synopsis of my travels in Thailand & Vietnam from Late Aug to Early Sept. Day 1 (BKK) Arrived at Swampy in the afternoon EVA (night-flight flight from London / LHR), lucky enough to get an Exit seat so was fairly comfy all the way and well sedated with a few G&T’s. EVA are fairly understated and still use the 777 but they’re solid and reliable and have never let me down (yet!!). Pretty obvious its low season from the short length of the ‘snake’ at immigration, think I was off the plane and in a taxi in under 40 mins speeding towards the State Tower where I had a condo booked for the first 3 nights. Condo turned out to be a LOT nicer than I expected and kind of annoyed at myself for not booking it for my last 4 nights in BKK too (hey ho), few pics for those interested…was on the 49th floor so lovely view at night. Quick nap then off to check out the bright lights like a giddy teenager, headed for Lucky boys first. Managed to swerve Lucy and got my (and Paul SF’s) fav Viet mama, unfortunately my timing was poor & arrived just as the show was starting plus I got a seat up in the ‘Gods’ at the back. Downed a Vodka sprite in 10 mins (well you need to re-hydrate after a long flight) and fled the show to the clutches of my beloved Screw boys as no show on there at that time. Screw boys was steady (nice greeting from Mama Phim) and a seat opposite the bar, fair few new faces, appeared to be less Viets and more Laos now, definitely a wider mix but some new talent which is always good. Phim was just scribbling me a note of which numbers can do the magic ‘everything’…when one of my regulars over the last 2 years a Viet ‘Handsome W’ came ambling over and gave me a lovely hug and asked if he could sit down. Some of you may recall I used to have 2 sets of 2 Viet brothers in this bar that I used to play with regularly, basically they just pimped me out to their relatives (who am I to complain). 2 of the 4 boys have since returned home to VN (1 out of choice and 1 due to Thai Royal Police), but the other 2 (inc my ex) are still in BKK. Whilst my roving eye was still taking in the new talent ‘Handsome W’ did look delightful and was very bubbly to see me. He’d toned up slightly since Songkran but said had been sick for 1 week recently & lost a little weight. Decision made…offed ‘W’ and asked him if he minded us going for a drink to another bar before we headed back. We settled on Fresh boys 2 so I could ogle the new talent and he could catch up with his Viet pals upstairs. Its easy with ‘W’ as been together so many times we don’t need to talk about what we will / will not do…we both know what the other likes and he’s relaxed with either ST or LT (over-night). Fresh boys 2 show had just finished so we grabbed a couple of drinks, nice line-up…again less Viets than my last trip and wider mix of nationalities with some very hot guys. Benefit of having ‘W’ with me is I get no hassle from the mama’s in there as he’s kind of like my partner for the night and guard as senses I’m jet lagged & flagging. Spotted a few other Viets from my not quite inner circle and a few came over to say hello plus the Viet waiters in that bar as fun as ever. Judging from a message that popped up in LINE from my ex…my arrival had been swiftly reported to the Viet Boys Intelligence network. We both bailed out for food and then headed to The State Tower, great seeing ‘W’ explore (read prowl) the condo and got his stamp of approval, particularly the view from the balcony on the 49th floor at night…pretty damn special and nice as the air felt bit cooler up that high and less traffic noise. Turned over the smart TV controls to him and got treated to some Viet pop and just dozed off with me head on his lap…woke up a bit later and we shared the shower (few things in life are as nice as soaping up 55kg of hot VN guy in the shower) then to bed and of course getting more intimately reacquainted. Anyone who thinks Viets are not passionate has been missing out imho, we both slept like logs afterwards …’W’ can sleep 8-10 hours no problem, noticed he was a little clammy so probably still shaking off the last vestiges of his illness the week before so I dialled down the AC a bit and opened the bedroom French windows ajar on the balcony to let some fresher air in, woke up a couple of times to find his Viet paws circling me but we both slept soundly…nice to be back in BKK! Day 2 (BKK) ‘Handsome W’ awoke around early afternoon (I’ve learnt its best to let him wake his own way rather than rouse him early), showered again and a bit more morning playing around…then off to locate some food in a local Thai place. He headed to his room to get changed for the gym (tipped his usual LT / overnight rate plus a bit more as he’s one of my favourites). Feeling a bit less jet lagged and hornier I started searching Hornet and found a cute Khmer Bottom who seemed up for a spot of Gymnastics, usual bit of on-line negotiating…what do you like? What do you want? etc. etc. Arranged to meet up early evening so I could have another nap first. Met him just outside the State Tower & pleasantly surprised as looked exactly like his pics and if anything a bit cuter, perhaps a touch fem but ok for me (I’m not usually a fem boy type). Very little Engrish though but deduced he was hungry so took him to another Thai food place opposite…not much open on Sunday evenings nearby but we found a small local restaurant. Re-fuelled we headed back and had a pleasant but not particularly inspiring session 6/10. I later found out he worked Fresh boys 2 sometimes and I think was just one of those guys who’s a bit lazy at what he puts out…never less I had my wicked way with him and so he was duly sent on his was with the agreed ST tip (albeit with not much on top of that). Funny thing is he’s one of those guys who just didn’t ‘get it’ as kept messaging me all thru the rest of the trip for a follow-up meet and making eye’s when I saw him on stage in FB2 again. I headed out bit later than planned and ended up in Hotmale after Kai spotted me wandering along the upper level near the beer bar, I suffered the last 10 mins of the show (he did promise me it was nearly finishing) and at some point I spotted a cute gogo in the seats waiting to get back on stage just as the fuck show was coming to an end. My interest piqued I patiently waited and show ended & boys returned to stage (nice selection tbh), love their pants by the way, great patterns and look much smarter than the usual plan white…spotted said cute boy (footballers, swimmers type body) entering the stage and enquired with Kai about him who pronounced him to be a ‘very good boy’…and surprise surprise a Viet (the old Viet radar still working….lol). The boy ‘B’ was a Top but Kai said ‘very good’ take care and as I’d just had a Bottom earlier in the evening this all seemed fine. Called him over for a drink and immediately ‘B’ was very engaging, both our hands were wandering nicely and lots of squeezes / cuddles etc…all quite delightful. Asked him what his preferred was, ST or LT and he actually requested LT (over-night) so Tip levels agreed up front (as he was a new one to me) we adjourned to a beer bar to relax followed by Kai’s approving eye as we headed for the door. Few drinks and a late night dinner than back to State Tower, again the condo proved a success as ‘B’ loved the balcony also, taking pics sending them to his pals on Messenger and so on. Warmed up on the sofa and then bit more action in the shower followed by some gymnastics on the bed exploring each other’s bodies, ‘B’ is quite an affectionate boy too once warmed up and we made some suitable puddles of Vitamin D…he was quite the gusher tbh before we retired to the showers and bed. Dozed off holding each other and I think woke up late morning to him chilling on the balcony having a smoke & taking in the view again. LT Tips dispensed along with some sincere hugs from him and the request to see me again he ambled off to the lifts and about his day...nice boy. Day 3 (BKK) Finally got my arse into gear around mid-day and headed for MBK to get my old S8+ un-locked and a new Thai SIM for the duration of my trip, after a bit of comparing prices on the 4th or 5th flr between shops settled on one and left the phone with them for 1 hour whilst they went to work on it. Picked it up later after some more aimless wandering around (I’m not really a shopping person) and then headed to the movies and caught ‘Angel has Fallen’…it’s probably not going to win any academy awards but was worth a watch, Nick Nolte puts in a great performance as the grizzled dad. Off for a haircut in that place with the red chairs that does a lot of the barboys (a friend showed me it a while ago)…think its Silom Soi 3? Opposite some massage place…bit tired and half dozed off in the chair and came around to find I had a Grade 1 pretty much all over (rather than a 2 on Top and 1 at sides)…hey ho lucky I like the ‘low maintenance’ look. Back to the condo for a powernap & then headed out and hit Lucky boys early tonight…maybe was around 21:30 so Viet mama gave me a choice of seats and I ended up in the ‘snugs’ pretty much centre of the stage and with a perfect eye view of the candy….oh my 40+ guys on stage & more wandering around in their hot Black briefs (plenty of hotties). Viet mama sensing my horned up status was gently nudging me to call a guy over but with I sipped my Vodka Sprite and waited patiently for the stage to go thru rotation, it’s kind of like lines or ranks of boys moving from rear to front in Luckyboys. Then a familiar Viet face popped out at me as he got nearer the front, another of my regulars ‘B2’ who is like a pint sized muscle twink with a great six pack. He spotted me when I walked in but I missed him at first as he was wearing a baseball cap. Eye’s locked and that was it…Viet mama moved in for the kill and her laser pen was out pointing at him to which he ambled quickly off stage and to me. Up close he looked even better tbh, still a very defined boy…had just got back to BKK after a spell at home in VN with the family. Bit of catching up and then we quickly settled on an LT off but he doesn’t usually do overnight so we started early. Asked B2 where he wanted to go and he chose Dream boys for the show, my first visit to the new club and quite impressed albeit I was pretty much the only farang face in there and it was busy. Got a good couple of seats at the front after a former mama from Lucky recognized me, nice modern club and good layout, decent sightlines but that sound system is like DJ Station level and was really pumping loud which is fine with me but might not be to everyone’s tastes. B2 enjoyed the show / coyotes so all good and tbh I didn’t mind it as the part we saw was free of the dreaded lip synch Lady boys. After Dream boys we headed to the Khao San road for something different, somewhere I like to hang out a couple of times when I’m in BKK, always a great atmosphere and reminds me of my misspent youth traveling Thailand in my 20’s. The guys seem to get a kick out of it too…but then you have clubs, music, drinks galore and food everywhere not to mention a lot of stalls so what young man would not. We had a few beers in a club about halfway down the Khao San and it was definitely jumping, B2 is funny as he can’t drink more than 2 small beers before he turns red but he’s happy and relaxed so that’s the main thing. Went for dinner at some Thai street food type place he chose but all good and in truth I’ve had some great meals in and around the Khao San over the last 20+ years. About 01:00 headed back to Silom as I wanted to try catch ‘Handsome W’ in Screw boys as I was leaving BKK the next morning and would not be back for 1 week. ‘B2’ and ‘W’ are friends so he was good with that but unfortunately when we got to Screw boys found out ‘W ‘ had a night off so we just had drinks and then headed back to State Tower. Bit of lounging around the condo and then B2 pulled me into the shower as a ‘let’s get busy’ sign and game on from there, nice couple of leisurely sexy hours of pleasuring each other followed, another passionate guy who knows what we both enjoy...was really nice to re-make the connection again after 3-4 months away. Think we called it a night around 05:00am, B2 does not usually sleep over as has funny sleep patterns in BKK which I fully understand…plus I had a taxi coming at 12:00 to take me to sin city the next day so all good. Full LT Tip dispensed and he well deserved it tbh, great guy whom I fully intend to see again (watch his space!) To be continued…. Next up 4 nights in Pattaya (that’s assuming the above hasn’t sent you all to sleep yet)

  12. Hello everybody, here is my first-timer experience This is MY experience. I will be happy to answer any questions of those who are like me - firstimers. I'm not going to argue about my possible mistakes with pro visitors to Brazil, I don't want this post to become another exercise in insulting each other. Sorry for these words, but I think an ambience here is very nasty, although I did find very precious information here. I'll compare some points with Thailand, as I was there 50+ times and I think it will be useful for those who visited Thailand And sorry for mistakes in my English So I've stayed 15 days there and I visited Club 117 everyday except two Mondays I am into bodybuilders. So I took only muscle guys. For those who remember golden days of Tawan - guys in Club 117 are smaller! I haven't met really big bodybuilders. Syntol muscles, big upper bodies with small legs - yes, very nice physic and fitness class guys - yes, but only two young competitive bodybuilders, which are not so big as I wish But the faces and bodies of 117's guys are so nice that I'm not disappointed So I'm talking about muscle guys here I was always asked (and always gave without bargaining) 150 R$, including instagram superstars with tens of thousands of subscribers, agogo dancers and the biggest guys in the club I think there an explanation to this fact (some members quoted higher prices) On the very first day I showed to one guy pictures of my ex who is heavyweight competitive bodybuilder. The rumor spread very quickly and muscle guys approached me saying 'I know, I'm not big for you, but you can try me' and didn't ask much. I liked some guys there for talking, sitting together. When they asked me, I bought drinks and food for them. Then these guys started to send to me all new muscle guys that I had not had yet. They told them my price (150) and it always was OK with them. I was extremely excited when muscled beauties approached me and the guys told them - what are you waiting for, undress (if he just came), show your muscle, may be he'll take you On the very first night I asked one guy, who speaks English well, to take me to Lapa for fun. I felt a kind of chemistry between us, although he is absolutely not attractive for me sexually He turned out to be one of the smartest man that I ever met. We talk with him about everything, starting from big bang and graham's number to Austro-Hungarian Empire and brazilian coffee-with-milk politics in Brazil. That night he slept in my appartment and the next morning he said - we are friends, no more money. So almost everyday he stayed with me and slept in my appartment and I never paid him money. Once he asked 300 to pay electricity bill and I gave him, sometimes I gave him 50 for taxi to comeback home. On the second day my phone was stolen. This guy gave me his phone and I used it for four days before he helped me to buy a new phone. When he took me to a disco that I didn't like, he paid himself for that disco. Sometimes he insisted to pay for food himself. He bought some gifts for me when I was returning home Believe me or not, but this is true So, I can't say what is the price for a long stay, although one bodybuilder told me that R$ 1500 for one day is extremely good price and I think it can be lowered down to 600-800R$ I took some guys to my appartment - from 7 pm to midnight it was 300-350 R$ Entance to the club - 60 Room - 40 Caipirinha - 15, smirnoff ,tequila, - 15-20-30 Espresso, water - 6 Food I think 20-30, I don't remember The guys that I talked to told me they usually get R$ 200 from clients (muscle guys) Some advices 1. It is not like in Thailand. In Thailand in a go go if you come at the right time you can see almost all the guys (except those who are taken or have a day off). In Brazil you never know who you meet that day 2. In Brazil you pay for 40 minutes. When you finish, a guy usually comes back to work. In Thailand you pay for a short time, you can talk to a guy while you are going to your hotel, you may offer a dinner together and so on. It's not the case here. If you want that, you should talk about longer stay 3. English is almost non-existent. To my suprise, in Thailand the situation is much better. That makes a longer stay much more difficult. 4. I stayed in Gloria area, 2 minutes walk from the Club 117. It is very convenient. I saved a lot of money because I stayed in Gloria area. If you want take a guy home - it's easy for him, the price is lower. Prices for food and restaurants are lower. For example, fresh juice in my area is R$ 5, copacabana - R$9-11. I ate in a good restaurant for R$ 30-50, Ipanema - R$ 90+ for the same food. Of course, if you like beach, it's a long ride by metro, but there is Flamengo beach nearby 5. Do plan your stay! Indeed, when it's a quiet day in the club, it can be a big dissapointment. During my stay it was wednesdays and sundays. You can expect more guys starting from 6-7 pm. 6. When the club was closed (Monday) I visited Lion's and Point 202 on the same evening. It was a disaster. Lion's was deserted at 7.30, Point was busy, but no muscles at all. So for the next Monday I took a guy for an evening stay with me. 7. I didn't find the way to have a man from the beach. Although I saw some good guys, I do not know how to approach them 7. Brazil is not a holiday destination. In Thailand you can find millions ways to have fun. It's secure. In Brazil I have no idea how I would spend a time with a guy. After visiting a couple of tourist attractions there is only one thing - the beach. In Thailand you may visit huge shopping malls, nice restaurants, take a ride to islands, gardens, markets, aquariums, discos... - endless list. 8. I have already bought a ticket to Brazil for the next trip. It is really nice country and above all - Brazilians! I really loved them

Reasonable generosity should be the hallmark of the decent traveler. Myself? I'm generous but I , mostly, Confine my activities to a few who I know and who stay with me - thus my bargain comes from 24 hour companionship for the price, slightly above, the average hour service job. 18. From NY Times Malfunctions caused two deadly crashes. But an industry that puts unprepared pilots in the cockpit is just as guilty n Oct. 29, 2018, Lion Air Flight 610 taxied toward the runway at the main airport in Jakarta, Indonesia, carrying 189 people bound for Bangka Island, a short flight away. The airplane was the latest version of the Boeing 737, a gleaming new 737 Max that was delivered merely three months before. The captain was a 31-year-old Indian named Bhavye Suneja, who did his initial flight training at a small and now-defunct school in San Carlos, Calif., and opted for an entry-level job with Lion Air in 2011. Lion Air is an aggressive airline that dominates the rapidly expanding Indonesian market in low-cost air travel and is one of Boeing’s largest customers worldwide. It is known for hiring inexperienced pilots — most of them recent graduates of its own academy — and for paying them little and working them hard. Pilots like Suneja who come from the outside typically sign on in the hope of building hours and moving on to a better job. Lion Air gave him some simulator time and a uniform, put him into the co-pilot’s seat of a 737 and then made him a captain sooner than a more conventional airline would have. Nonetheless, by last Oct. 29, Suneja had accumulated 6,028 hours and 45 minutes of flight time, so he was no longer a neophyte. On the coming run, it would be his turn to do the flying. His co-pilot was an Indonesian 10 years his elder who went by the single name Harvino and had nearly the same flight experience. On this leg, he would handle the radio communications. No reference has been made to Harvino’s initial flight training. He had accumulated about 900 hours of flight time when he was hired by Lion Air. Like thousands of new pilots now meeting the demands for crews — especially those in developing countries with rapid airline growth — his experience with flying was scripted, bounded by checklists and cockpit mandates and dependent on autopilots. He had some rote knowledge of cockpit procedures as handed down from the big manufacturers, but he was weak in an essential quality known as airmanship. Sadly, his captain turned out to be weak in it, too. “Airmanship” is an anachronistic word, but it is applied without prejudice to women as well as men. Its full meaning is difficult to convey. It includes a visceral sense of navigation, an operational understanding of weather and weather information, the ability to form mental maps of traffic flows, fluency in the nuance of radio communications and, especially, a deep appreciation for the interplay between energy, inertia and wings. Airplanes are living things. The best pilots do not sit in cockpits so much as strap them on. The United States Navy manages to instill a sense of this in its fledgling fighter pilots by ramming them through rigorous classroom instruction and then requiring them to fly at bank angles without limits, including upside down. The same cannot be expected of airline pilots who never fly solo and whose entire experience consists of catering to passengers who flinch in mild turbulence, refer to “air pockets” in cocktail conversation and think they are near death if bank angles exceed 30 degrees. The problem exists for many American and European pilots, too. Unless they make extraordinary efforts — for instance, going out to fly aerobatics, fly sailplanes or wander among the airstrips of backcountry Idaho — they may never develop true airmanship no matter the length of their careers. The worst of them are intimidated by their airplanes and remain so until they retire or die. It is unfortunate that those who die in cockpits tend to take their passengers with them. the infamous TM30

From Khaosod English Gov’t to Scrap Arrival Cards for Foreigners, Introduce TM30 App BANGKOK — A senior government official said Tuesday foreign visitors will soon no longer have to fill out “TM6” arrival and departure forms. Kobsak Pootrakool, deputy sec-gen to the Prime Minister, also touted a mobile application in the works for 24-hour reporting under the TM30 form system, which has been a source of controversy in recent months. Kobsak said both changes are designed to attract more visitors and accommodate those already living in the kingdom. “We made the decision last Friday. Within two to three months, life will be much easier [for foreign tourists and expats],” Kobsak said. He spoke at a gala dinner to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Elite Plus Magazine at a hotel in Bangkok on Tuesday evening, where audience members included ambassadors from ten or so countries. Explaining the government’s decision, Kobsak said arrival and departure forms for tourists, known as TM6 forms, have led to a storage problems. The government expects a total of 20 million visitors to Thailand this year. “[The immigration police] have to have a huge warehouse to store these papers,” Kobsak said, adding that the police rarely look at the information in the forms, which are only stored “just in case.” He also said the government and the immigration police agreed last Friday to streamline other procedures. Foreigners will be able to report their whereabouts with just “four clicks” on a smartphone to fulfill regulations that require them to report to immigration authorities every 90 days. But the cherry on top seems to the revelation that the police are developing a mobile phone application for the infamous TM30 form, which requires foreign residents and their Thai landlords to file a report to the police every time the former spends a night outside their registered province. Tourists are generally exempted from the rule, as the forms are filed by their hotels and accommodation hosts. Deputy immigration commander Nattapon Sawaengkit confirmed the move on Wednesday when reached for comment, but assigned another officer to explain the details. The officer, who declined to give his name, gave little information other than hinting that QR codes will likely be used. “The apps are not finished yet. QR codes will likely be used but it’s not concrete yet. It will likely be on a smartphone,” the officer said. 24. I enjoyed reading your post, for before you left, you asked questions; some of us responded (in various ways based on experience) to them. You encountered many positives and a few negatives from which you now know how to operate when you return. Brazil (Rio) especially is addictive, as well as at times, sometimes daunting, depending on the circumstances. Return to "The Marvelous City," and do venture out as Badboy81 mentioned in the highlighted area and I in a private to you before you left. It'll only enrich you. A friend of mine whom I met in Rio during my last trip a few years back just recently returned to Rio where he managed to stay for almost a month. He did "the sauna scene" and apparently had garotos over on a daily basis, but almost each day he would post on Facebook where he was or went during that particular day. His photos recaptured some of the experiences that I had when I managed to travel there as well as expose me to a lot of the unknown which is there for me to explore. Hope to return in '20 or '21. I've been to Thailand on three or four occasions, but as another poster mentioned-- the two cultures and nations about which you wrote are definitely different. Now that you been to the largest country in South America and to its supreme city, experience and enjoy but try NOT to compare. Appreciate the uniqueness of both. Obrigado! I'll await to read reports from you when you endeavor to travel to Brazil again.

  27. Thanks, Lucky and Adam. Sometimes I write to clarify things that have been stirring around in the back of my mind. Sometimes - like on this cluster of issues around decriminalization and federal attacks on rentboys - they've been stirring around for years. This thread definitely put me in writing mode. I spent the last few days reading dozens of articles to update what I know. And then I thought it through by just writing. So trigger warning: I'm going to go on and on and on. Maybe even somewhat rationally. (But I sure hope not viciously, or regrettably). If you don't like it, stop reading. Or feel happy, because you guys put me into this special mood. My intention in commenting on this thread was to try to get a read on whether there is any real interest from people who post on this website to actually do something about the decriminalization of prostitution. Bottom line: if there is, I haven't heard it yet. Like I said already, I spent years going around and around on variations of this with Daddy/Guy and a bunch of escorts who wanted to make a difference. As well as other people I was close to, like Oliver and Epigonos, and a whole cast of other characters. That included a bunch of related things. Like helping raise money to defend Jeffrey after the Rentboy bust. Or asking friends and others in our community what, if anything, they cared to do to either fund or - if need be - defend Daddy/Guy, and his websites. Or simply whether or how to continue the pool party without Guy's website to support it, if in fact the Feds came swooping down on him, like they did on Rentboy and Jeffrey. Anyone reading this has every right to disagree with me, but I believe these are all appropriate and important things to talk about. In the long run, I think it is very clear that our interests as Gay men are served best when we think and talk openly about our challenges. Like the fact that we are Gay. Or we want to be able to get married. Or we want to be able to hire a male escort. And to me, the politics forum of an escort website seems like a very appropriate place to do that. I know for a fact that Daddy spent a lot of time thinking about this. Because I was one of the people who thought about it with him. I've only met Oz once, and he can speak for himself. But my guess is he might have given a thought or two to what would happen if his website were shut down, and he found himself in a jail cell. Of course, the idea that we could have a President Warren or Sanders who would actually even give lip service to decriminalizing prostitution is a very different thing than shutting down male escort websites. That moves the ball from defense to offense. After a period of years where everything has been mostly bad news, from the Rentboy attack to FOSTA/SESTA to Trump, I would love nothing more than to actually see a Democratic President move to decriminalize prostitution. Or even just start a serious debate about it. My reason for going on and on about the same sex marriage fight is this: I think we actually know a lot about winning as a community. We have more power than we think we have. What you added to the mix, Lucky, basically by attacking my character, was a second positive thing. Of course, I don't think your intention was to make me feel good, Lucky. While this is not what you said verbatim, I think your point is I'm the kind of guy who turns on my friends. Actually, it was worse than that. You didn't even use the word "friends". Again, this isn't what you said verbatim. But the basic idea I took away is you think I'm a greedy and/or unprincipled whore, and I turn on clients like Ollie and Eppie after they stop paying me money. (I assume this kind of alleged behavior is what mvan meant when he used the word "vicious".) Geez, thanks Lucky. And I mean that. One of the things I like about you is that, like me, you are willing to be blunt and just put it out there. Which was, in fact, my point in talking about Epigonos and Oliver and Daddy. I have no problem whatsoever talking about what I and others were and were not willing to do relating to attacks on our community, and the websites tied to it. I'm not being quite as blunt as you. But it seems like we agree that you should just put it out there. Beyond that, while your persona is grumble grumble grumble, bark bark bark, I have always viewed you as a passionate and principled fighter - again, I think like me. So I assume where you are coming from is that you care about Oliver and Epigonos (and perhaps even Daddy), as do I. If my female intuition is correct, good for you. That said, you are completely wrong in your character attack. You don't seem to know what you are talking about. And what you said is insulting. (For the record, I would not say "vicious" though. I think you're a sweetheart underneath the bark, Lucky - just like Bernie, for example). Your attack did lead me to take a mostly pleasant trip down memory lane, relating to Oliver and Epigonos and Daddy/Guy and the pool party. Some of this stuff I haven't thought about for years. And reflecting on about five years of events made me feel good about a series of decisions and actions I've taken over those years, relating to friends and community. Some of my memories are probably ones Ollie or Eppie would prefer I keep to myself. So I'll mention only a few things as I ramble, mostly to rebut your ignorance. I can also relate the whole cluster of issues I just named back to what Adam actually started this thread about: meaning what Warren and Sanders are up to right now. I love what Elizabeth and Bernie are doing. Here's how I tie it all together. The question and the challenge Warren and Sanders are both raising is this: what does it mean to be part of a community that gets in the trenches and fights together, for things that we care deeply about? And Lucky's post at least partially dovetails on that: what does it mean to be a friend who has your back, as opposed to turning on you? On the issues Warren and Sanders are prioritizing - like political corruption, universal health care, middle class stagnation, and corporate greed - a big part of their point is that we all need to jump into the trenches and fight. And millions of people are saying they will. That could mean donating money (I have), volunteering (I will), or just being one of the millions saying, "I am with you. I will vote for you. I believe you have my back, so I'll have your's." That's also, by the way, how we won same sex marraige. My analogy above was that millions of powerless ants like me jumped into the trenches together, and fought and won. That's how I think about this cluster of issues from the Rentboy bust to the decriminalization of prostitution, as well. I know I could have been much shorter and simpler and way more PC, Adam. I could have simply said, "Ain't it a shame. Warren and Sanders should make decriminalization a priority, and be talking it up more. Shame on them." But play that out. Here's a pleasant thought. What if either one of them actually wins? Or what if we have a President Pete? As a Gay President, he could say that Gay men should be able to both marry the man of their dreams, and hire the escort of their choice. Wouldn't that be nice? And then they can call in Daddy, our Fairy Godfather. And he will waive pixie dust and chant chants and - presto! - prostitution will be decriminalized. I just had an orgasm writing that. I hope some of you guys did, too. In truth, though, it is actually more of a wet dream. So dream on. Adam, I interacted a lot with you for years on Daddy's website. You're hardly a political neophyte. So I don't think it's a shocker to you or anyone that even if they wanted to be leaders on the issue of decriminalization, Warren or Sanders would need a huge number of followers behind them. Leaders are in fact defined as people who have followers. So who are the followers on this issue? Who will jump into the trenches and fight for decriminalization? You? Me? Anybody? Nobody? If the answer is nobody, sorry. We lose. So then let's just not even bother. And let's not expect Warren or Sanders to start a fight we can't win. That's exactly why I think it's relevant and appropriate to say on a website like this that in my experience, possible leaders - like Oliver and Epigonos, among others - made it very clear how they feel. Their answer was: not me. I won't fight. If that means the website and the party go away, I'm okay with it. It was fun while it lasted. And sorry, Lucky, saying this is not turning on them. I made a point of calling the question with them, to their faces, when the three of us were peas in a pod, planning and executing the pool party together for several years. I anticipated their decision, and respected it. I'm glad they were clear. And I posted about it on Daddy's at the time. I actually thought it was a really important discussion to have. And by the way, I was not alone. Especially after the Rentboy bust, there was lots of open talk about how maybe in a year there would no longer be a review website, or a Boytoy. Maybe this would be the final pool party. Maybe Daddy would be in jail. I get where the reactions were coming from. I also made a point to ask people I respected how they felt. And I listened. I used a phrase in an earlier post that was almost a verbatim quote. One of the guys who has come to the pool party for years said something like this: "At times like this, the best thing to do is keep your head down, and hope the storm passes." This was a conversation among a small group. And when he said that, everyone around him was shaking their head "yes" in agreement. The bumper sticker went like this, in my mind: "Be afraid. Be very afraid." There's a variation of this theme that I think is also important to talk about, that came from several Gay men who'd had more experience in political activism. Their point was that if we fight, sometimes it can backfire and leave us even worse off. One good example of that is Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Bill Clinton definitely stirred up a hornet's nest. His intent (in his words) was to help Gays that got him elected. But it ended up, in the view of many Gay activists, doing more harm than good. We were not prepared for the reaction. And we (and Clinton) lost badly. So I think that's relevant to Warren and Sanders and a President Pete, too. Assume one of them will win in 2020, and pick a fight over decriminalization. Isn't now the time to be thinking about what it actually would take to win? Why start a fight that we can't win? I see several reasons to feel optimistic. We've come a very long way from Don't Ask, Don't Tell. The fact that we can even think about the idea of a President Pete means that maybe now you can have an openly Gay Commander In Chief, who wants to jump in the trenches and fight for his country. You can definitely now have an openly Gay man fall in love and marry the man of his dreams. And both can be highlighted on the cover of TIME, because one of them jumped in the trenches and is running for President. Here's one happy way to think about that, for those of you who watched the last Democratic debate. We're now at Please Ask, And I Will Tell. Mayor Pete was asked a question about resilience. And he hit a grand slam. He spoke emotionally and powerfully about fighting for his country. And through that experience coming to terms with the fact that it was time to come out and tell the world he wanted to marry the man of his dreams. Mayor Pete is a one man university on something we learned fighting for same sex marriage: open your heart, and you move people. I'll repeat what I said earlier. We didn't win the battle of the year, or decade, or century. We won the battle of millenia on same sex marriage. We overcame thousands of years of oppression and discrimination grounded in things like religion and culture. And we did it by getting in the trenches together and fighting. And we fought, fiendishly (or was it friendishly?), by opening our hearts. And by the way, these exact same concerns were all part of the same sex marriage fight. I was not present on the ground floor on same sex marriage. I didn't really start volunteering a lot until 2008, when we lost the California initiative. But even then, which was sort of late in the game, there were still many Gay men saying this would backfire, and make things worse for us. Well, sorry. They were wrong. Others say we only won because of the lawyers and the judges. They argue organizing didn't matter, because we won in court. But guess what? Some of the lawyers and judges themselves point out we only started to win most of those court battles when we reached the tipping point, when a majority of Americans actually supported same sex marriage. I'd actually turn that around. If there had been a massive uprising when Rentboy was attacked, and everybody came out of the woodwork and ranted and marched and said this is political oppression against Gay men, Jeffrey might never have gone to jail. Judges are politicians, too. You of course know that, Lucky. I think what we do, or don't do, matters a lot. On same sex marriage, we moved the country from massive opposition to overwhelming support. But it started out small, even weak. So my point was not and is not to "turn on" or beat up Oliver or Epigonos, or anyone that comes to any pool party or chimes in on any escort website. My point is that we ought to be clear about whether anyone is actually willing to do anything. If Oliver and Epigonos would rather jump in the pool than the political trenches, that's their call. I told that to them when they said, "Nope. Not me." As I said above, it's not like Daddy/Guy wasn't thinking about this, and didn't get the message, anyway. I'm quite sure he was thinking about it. I'll repeat what I said in a prior post. He talked a great line, at least one on one. He was not afraid of going to jail, and he'd fight like hell. But actions always speak louder than words. So I couldn't help noticing that immediately after the Rentboy bust, he started to take a whole set of defensive moves. The review website split from the forum, he changed his identity to Guy, and things just got way more conservative. I heard almost constant bitching and moaning for a long time about how the reviews got watered down so much that they were basically useless. And sorry, Guy, if you are reading this. I may not be the best organizer. But your instincts are anti-organizing. You like to keep things secretive and small, so you can control them. That's exactly the opposite of what organizing is. The thing all the best organizers I've ever worked with have tried to do is start a huge fire, and hope it rages out of control. You know you might win when it gets to be so big and hot that you can barely control it any longer. (See Trump election, 2016, for an excellent recent example.) Good organizer or not, though, I'm pretty sure Guy was smart enough to read the handwriting on the wall, anyway, and cover his ass. And I don't blame him. At the margin, I helped him do it. Being a good former lobbyist, I actually read the entire US Senate floor debate on FOSTA/SESTA. If you don't think talking to US Senators matters, take a few hours and read the debate. (Remarkably, this post is like a short Trump tweet by comparison.) Because it's as if the whole issue boiled down to one person: a female underage prostitute who had been trafficked and murdered. The dead girl's Mom was a very effective lobbyist. Her daughter was probably mentioned over dozens of pages, by Senator after Senator. She became the poster child for why we needed the law. So the fine print of Guy's website now has language that specifically says it is the kind of website FOSTA/SESTA was never intended to hurt. At least according to people like Sen. Schumer, who argued the bill would of course never hurt websites that support "harm reduction" communities, for example. So Guy's website is now all about "harm reduction". And if the worst case scenario ever happens, and he gets busted, Guy will hopefully just need help paying for a good lawyer. And that lawyer can go to court and argue, among other things, that a whole bunch of US Senators said FOSTA/SESTA was specifically never intended to hurt websites like his. At least according to the actual words of the Senators who voted for the bill. If all people want to do is keep their head down, that works for me. And I'll say it again. I don't blame Guy - or anyone - for focusing only on defense. Just make sure you can pay for a really good lawyer, Guy, in case you need one. And that leads to the most painful set of points I want to make about jumping in the trenches and fighting as a community on this issue. What the fuck was that whole Rentboy thing about? Other than the last few days, I haven't thought about it for a long time. And it still doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I never met Jeffrey, who ran Rentboy. I never advertised on Rentboy. And I never made a dime off his website. It would have been the easiest thing in the world for me to say, "Jeffrey who? And why do I care that he was busted? Really? Who gives a shit?" I called Daddy years ago when he posted one of his frequent pleas about his financial difficulties. I asked him if he wanted help, and he said yes, thanks. I ended up working with him to raise pledges that I think (or at least hope) added up to tens of thousands of dollars over a couple of years. The reason is simple: I felt like I owed him. The website Hooboy started, and that Daddy and Oz both sort of continued, was very, very good to me. I felt like I should do what I could to give back. I'm pretty sure Daddy was able to build a few years of relative financial stability and move from a small apartment to a larger one in part because of the efforts I initiated. If true, I feel good about that. And more importantly, any good that happened was because of the underlying generosity of many of us who hang out on his website, and pledged to give $25 or $50 or $100 or month, or whatever. Including Oliver and Epigonos. Epigonos, to his credit, had always made it a point to help out Daddy for years. So partly I was actually just following his lead. That's not the same as winning same sex marriage, or decriminalizing prostitution. But it is something to be proud of as a community. And it goes back to the same basic theme Warren and Sanders are pushing: what are we willing to get into the trenches and fight for together, as a community? And if part of your point about me, Lucky, is that I am a money grubbing whore who made lots of money whoring, I'll happily plead guilty to that. I'm proud of it. And I'm proud to talk with any US Senator or anyone in the world about it, and argue that's why we should decriminalize prostitution now: Leading male escort Steven Kesslar argues the Department of Homeland Security’s raid on Rentboy.com has made America more dangerous Daddy was my editor on that article. And I actually had a series of articles half written, and at least one commitment by a major Gay media outlet to publish them as long as I wrote them for free. But when it became clear the Rentboy thing was a political non-starter that was actually dividing us and freaking out friends and clients of mine, I figured: what's the point? That said, I think we have a boatload of great arguments just waiting to be made. I'd be quite happy to see us make them. Directly. Like to United States Senators. My college professor, friend, and mentor, Paul Wellstone, and his wife Sheila, were behind the most effective anti-trafficking law ever passed by the US Senate. So if somebody wants to call me a big old whore, I'll gladly take the bait and go off very eloquently to Chuck or Bernie or Elizabeth or whoever about how we need to follow Paul and Sheila's lead if we really want to help all the innocent women and children and laborers who are trafficked and abused and raped and even murdered every year. Ten Years Later: Remembering Senator Paul Wellstone When I took my trip down memory lane, I actually was amused with myself that I took what i did that far. If other people in the community were willing to fight, I would have gone much, much further. Blame it on Paul, who I learned to be a passionate and loud political whore from. My Rentboy experience actually started when I got a call from another escort, who said he was putting together a group of "respected" escorts (okay, so I guess there is such a thing) to raise money in Jeffrey's defense. Would I be willing to be part of it? To me the ask was Community Organizing 101. When your community is under attack, you defend it. Period. What I found very sad was the level of vitriol and venom leveled at anybody - including all of us escorts - who actually wanted to defend Jeffrey and Rentboy. One thing I thought about a lot at the time was this: why did so many people who spent so much time looking at and hiring off Rentboy turn their back on Jeffrey the minute he got busted? And we know one obvious answer, of course: fear. To their credit, Epigonos and Oliver were not two of those people. They both gave money to defend Jeffrey. But even that was awkward. I could tell they didn't really approve of the effort. But they were doing it because they were my friends. Eppie basically told me that. So good for him. But even with them, I had to wonder: why is this so difficult? I can't tell you the number of times I was over at Eppie's place and he called me over to his computer. He wanted me to look at the photos of some escort on Rentboy that he had hired, or wanted to hire. So it seemed like asking him to defend Rentboy should have been a no brainer. And I know that money was not an issue. Lots of you guys happily pay a small amount of change every month to subscribe to one kind of porn website or another. And it goes without saying that most are willing to pay for rentboys themselves. Or are in a position to contribute because they are rentboys. So why is this so hard? The NRA, for example, seems to have an easy time spending gazillions to defend the right to own AK-47's. I personally don't see how defending the hiring of rentboys is worse than defending the right of gun owners to use weapons of war to kill lots of people. I'm with Beto on this one. Hell yeah, I'd much rather take away the old men's AK-47s than the hot young muscle guys on the escort websites. I would actually love it if some sociologist could comment authoritatively on what that Rentboy thing was about. But, upon reflection, I personally think it boils down to identity politics. I know a certain conservative I won't name who used to call me all the time, to rant about how he had had quite enough of Black Lives Matter, and all this racism stuff, and trigger warnings, and the whole seeming cluster fuck of "identity politics". I look back at that now and realize there was a whole lot of that going around. And I should have figured out all that could, and in fact did, lead to a political party that fell in love with someone like Donald J. Trump. Well, guess what, folks? I think the identity politics formula works both ways. There's an identity politics to the people I know who hire escorts, too. They tend to be of a certain generation. Lots of them are Gay liberals. But many of them tend to be conservative. Many of them are still closeted. So they are mostly not the type that see themselves as Gay activists. They are not going to march through West Hollywood like I did to oppose the Rentboy bust, or speak to the media. For all these reasons and more, they actually would be the perfect people to go meet with their Congressperson to talk about the decriminalization of prostitution. They could present themselves as moderates, Republicans, former school teachers, former government officials. Again, it was exactly when people like that starting speaking up - both publicly and privately - about the importance of same sex marriage that we actually started to win. Will that happen? Probably not. I think it's an identity issue. That's a picture frame I think many older guys who hire escorts would have a very hard if not impossible time seeing themselves in. It is still a very weird thing. I suppose you could argue I turned on a client and friend by wanting him to have the back of a guy who ran an escort website he relied on constantly. But that seems wrong. I suppose you could argue guys who used Rentboy constantly to hire turned on me, as well as our community, by finding it so challenging to support an effort to stand up and fight for our community. But that seems wrong, too. Like I said, I'm still not sure I have words for what happened. But I don't really think anybody turned on anyone. I think it's more emotionally honest to say people felt like they were being pushed to be someone or something they just couldn't be. I definitely think we were unprepared. And I think it was clear that many people felt the whole thing was very painful. And very, very conflicted. And Adam, if you think we want a President Warren or a President Sanders or a President Pete to be advocating for the decriminalization of prostitution, for all the reasons I stated in the last paragraph, we ought to be thinking and talking about this right now. The 2020 Democratic Candidates Who Voted in Favor of SESTA/FOSTA We would absolutely need to talk about identity, meaning who we are and what we stand for. And we would need to talk about what we are willing to get in the trenches and fight for together - as friends, or as a community. If nobody really wants to do that, fine. But then we're right back to Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Which is a perfectly fine policy, thank you, if all you want to do is discreetly hire a rentboy. It's not okay if your goal is to decriminalize prostitution. If we don't want to talk and organize, then I mostly agree with Eppie and Ollie. It is probably simply wiser not to fight at all. So unless I am missing something, it is also probably wiser to give Warren and Sanders a pass. Why would anyone want them to start a fight we can't possibly win, because we won't get in the trenches and fight with them? Better to just keep our heads down, and hope they leave us alone. Thank you again, guys. This has been enlightening. If there's going to be any more efforts on this issue, I concluded long ago that Guy's website is probably not a particularly good place to talk about it, or organize it. I'm getting the feeling that this is not the place, either. Mostly what spending a few days thinking about this reinforced for me is that I'd be perfectly happy to be in the trenches with President Warren or President Sanders or President Pete, fighting for a bunch of other things. Like the right of people who were unfortunate enough to get cancer (my brother died of it a few years ago) to continue to get health insurance. That sort of thing is why Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of The House again. I'll be happy to continue to work and give money for that. Maybe people who hire escorts just want to keep their head low and avoid any trouble. And maybe that actually means neither one of us have much of anything to offer right now, Lucky. Maybe nobody wants to be barked at, and nobody wants to fight or defend anything. Maybe they just want to jump in the pool, and have fun. Having hosted the pool party for several years, and having had a great long ride as a happy hooker, I can certainly appreciate that. And if that's true, have fun guys. Hopefully the waters will just stay calm for a very long time.

  29. That wasn't a request for advice. It was a request for information about what the locals like. @matt4twinks if you are going to the sauna and paying, I agree with the above, I don’t think the guys care. However if you want to get freebies on Grindr with young guys that have a daddy fetish (that is definitely a thing! ) then a hairy chest might help you more than it hinders.

  30. Rio is still a developing third world country that...Developing is the key world While Bangkok is very cheap and affordable, they also understand tourism and want to attract ANY and everybody.... They also have the wealthiest royal family in the world... So while there are trashy, dirty places all over Bangkok, I have been to and seen some of the most upscale, elegant places as well.. Rio has them to, just not so much in the city center and definitely not in Gloria(interesting area to chose to stay)

  31. you said that you missed two very important and well known sites in Rio but it doesnt compare to Bangkok or Thailand... Travel to both countries regularly and they don't really compare... In my opinion, you should have ventured out MORE while in Rio to see more than the saunas and then you would have something to actually compare...' Aside from the well known sites, there are tons of things to do in the HUGE city and surrounding areas of Rio that are interesting and different... While I tend to go to the saunas daily on my much shorter trips, I have done other things as well...something you might try on your next trip, there is an island not far from Rio called Ilha da Gigoia...its beautiful...very nice restaurants and close to the malls in Barra... Venture out... I love the shopping, food, city sights of Bangkok but don't usually fuck Thai guys..PERIOD... If you are more into muscular Asians or that is what you are used to, there you have it... Brazilians in general are more fit and have more muscular toned bodies than the Thais or other Asians I saw in BKK... Great report

I definitely did something similar when I was going to Europe. I told people I did not fly across the Atlantic but ate my way across. The leg from Gander, Newfoundland to Shannon, Ireland was 1700 NM and would take 10-15 hours depending upon the aircraft and winds. Best regards, RA1

  35. After waking up and checking email, I went downstairs for the breakfast buffet. For a brief moment I thought I might be at breakfast at The Raya. There were six Japanese golfers finishing their breakfast, dressed in full golf fashion, their golf bags and clubs being loaded into a van that was waiting in the courtyard. They would be there the next two mornings. Yesterday, as some point, I send a Line to Van, who over the years has featured in many of my reports. We met when he was working at Hot Male on Twilight. He replied that he'd be by when he finished work -he is currently working with a contractor as a driver. He said he'd stay with me until I left for home. I replied that he was welcome to stay tonight but that I had other commitments. I took the BTS to MBK and did some browsing. Nothing caught my interest. It was a hot day so the air conditioning was welcome. I returned to the Tarntawan and checked my messages, I let Spoon know my plans - basically saying, I have no idea what Van and I will be doing but my hope was to get to Jupiter and maye we could meet up there. I then went to Prime Massage to have an alignment. Back at the hotel, there was a message from Van telling me he had come to the hotel but didn't have his ID so was going home to get it. I missed him by just a few minutes. So I took a nap having had only five hours sleep after Yoyo left this morning. Over the years, there is often some drama in Van's life that touches on our time together. This was one of those times, as when I woke I found a string of Line messages, he had gone back to where he lives and found that his roommate had stolen his savings. He was going to find him before the roommate gambled it away I replied that he should take care of the situation and not worry about our meeting. Short summary of long story...Van got to the hotel around 8pm, six hours later than he planned. He told me he had made the roommate move out, that he got most of his money back but not all. This is the money, he told me, he sends home. Drama aside, it was good to see him and I got a big hug in the Tarntawan lobby. We went to Balcony for dinner. We entered Soi 4 and within a few steps I heard my name shouted out...actually, I thought it was a shout for someone else...but it wasn't. The tout/grabber for Banana on 4 is the former tout/grabber from Hot Male on Twilight. Over the many years of visiting Hot Male, we developed a joking relationship which allowed me grab free access to Twilight. As mentioned ablve his grabber partner is now working at Moonlight. He knows Van as he worked at Hot Male or another bar on Twilight over the last few years. He encouraged us to go up to the bar, I said dinner first. Van and I had a totally forgettable meal at Balcony. Van asked if I'd be ok staying at Balcony as he wanted to get his hair cut and this was his only chance as he'd be working his job tomorrow as he wouldn't be with me. I wasn't sure if this might be ploy for me to tell him to stay...whatever, I said ok but that 'd meet him at Banana. Escorted up the stairs and introduced by the tout, I took a seat a few rows back from the stage. There were only two other customers. I no more than had my Sprite, when I'm waved at from the stage! It's Peter. Peter is a former Hot Male boy, also Fresh Boys, and probably a few other places. I must have met him five years ago, maybe longer. I've ben with him for three-ways, and one on ones. He has cooked for parties I've given, and introduced me to his wife, an shown me photos of his son, and the house he is building in Vietnam. Peter asked if I had seen Van and I said he'd be here in a little while. We caught up, he identified one of the boys in the rotation as one who'd be good for me. Peter like Van enjoys being a broker for my evening activities. One of the waiters is also Vietnamese and he came over, then Van came up the stairs and it was a Vietnamese reunion as they each knew one another. I let them catch up, a few more customers arrived, the boy Peter had selected for me was taken. The rotation wasn't too great once Peter and the selected one where out of the line up. When the show started, I used that as an excuse to signal Van that we were leaving. Which we did to many goodbyes and the tout walking us to Silom. I hope I let Spoon now that we wouldn't make it to Jupiter. Back at the Tarntawan, we did some catching up, he has been back and forth between home where there is no work and Bangkok where there is some work that doesn't pay well. He is thinking of going back to work the bars...(which he has since done). We have spent so many nights together, that there is a routine, shower, cuddling, body sharing, etc. etc...nothing new or surprising. I thought of a similarity to an old married couple. We eventually fell asleep. Not the most exciting days, there was the surprise of seeing people I thought had moved on still working but in a new location. Looking back the highlight was the Prime massage. My next, and final trip report, features the arrival of Vinapu, the return of DivineMadman, and some time with Spoon...

  37. Very good report, especially for a first-timer. I have nothing to critique. As a fellow connoisseur of muscle, I give you an A on your report. Also, there are some very sharp garotos at the saunas. Some are entrepreneurs and some are students working their way through university. One of my favorites at 117 was the top student in his STEM major last year, and he is quite knowledgeable about many subjects, including world history and world politics. Another I know fairly well ran for political office (yes, while working as a garoto!).

  39. I think there is a thread about spas but I will go ahead and help with an answer https://xtudiolotus.com.br/ http://www.spaziomasculino.com.br/ http://www.inhouseagencia.com.br http://massagemmasculinasp.net/ There might be more but these are the places I have dealt with. My preference is for xtudiolotus for both aesthetics (including hair removal) and massages, Spazio is pretty good too and they have more in their aesthetic arsenal than the other spas. Aesthetic wise inhouseagencia was not a great experience, estudio5 (the last link) is a pretty cool place too. All these places are gay men oriented so you don't have to worry about that. I think this could have been added to the thread about hair removal you already started but I guess you know that already. in Rio i have only tried https://www.solaryunspamasculino.com.br and it was not a bad experience.

  41. Day 4 In the morning it’s usually the boys who are trying to storm out but today it was actually me feeling pretty hungry. Being part –time gentleman I actually asked my guy if he wants to sleep or go with me to eat something and his choice was aligned with mine. So we went to Foodland Pattaya of all places. After filling up we parted our ways and I went to survey Pattaya newest gem, Terminal 21 mall. I’m neither shopper not mall person but I liked layout , stores , aircondotioning , views of Pattaya Bay from upper floors and of course Eiffel Tower and Pisa Tower inside and real aircrafts outside so time well spent. Using quite nice weather I returned to Classrooms walking all the way back with stops at Pattaya Night Market, opened even before noon and internet café in soi post office because I hate typing on my tablet. In the room well deserved shower and off to next goal – newly opened Paradise massage in the same soi. I did not even notice that before 5 p.m. price of 1 hr massage is 220 only but since I like 1.5 hrs treatments I passed that option anyway. Rooms and lobby new and shiny, proper massage table with face well and most important few good looking massage guys on duty . Picked up one with most handsome face , Wit. In the room fully dressed but in course of the course some movements suggested that more than just a , by the way, very good massage will be available. And after 1 hr. he was not exactly dressed, now you know why I like 1.5 hr sessions. It was plainly obvious that we hit it together so I shyly asked about LT option , approved immediately and we agreed that I will be waiting for him at the hotel after his shift ends at 1 am. Then with muscles stretched I went for a walk here and there, bought few bricks of soap for 5 baht each, wandered around Tuk-com and in one of eateries I spied ChristianPFC finishing his meal immediately requested explanation since we were to meet for the dinner at 7 pm at my hotel. I was shocked that he simply was just hungry , who would think ? Then wanted to go to Sunee but took wrong turn and landed somewhere else but found my way back to Boyztown . At 7 as agreed Christian showed up, we had nice chat in the room and then went to Alt Heidelberg for a dinner, That’s the place I can eat daily as their schnitzel with fried potatoes brings me memories of childhood Sunday dinners at home, they do it almost the same way my Mom used to cook . I’m sure when She looks from above she overlooks my sinful behavior due to attachment to her cooking. Then we went back to Boyztown , peeked in to ToyBoys to find that there’s not a single boy on the stage. It was early , 9 pm but still… So we went to Nice Boys in Sunee, drink 160, boys drink 200. As always several guys on the podium in different stages of undressing and stiffness or at least working on it. I invited one with broadest smile to sit beside and over drink did some exploration and it was enough to explore let’s say. After while we were back in Boyztown , peeked to Toy Boys to find final few guys on the stage but we weren’t impressed , the same at Cupidol , in BBB I pointed at my Handsome Cambodian , even Christian approved his looks and we decided next destination was Dreamboys. We entered at end of show when guys were parading among audience extracting tips. One of them was guy I remember from ABomb so called him over and scandalized Christian by tipping him whole 100 baht just for a short feel of what was rigid cock but likely of silicone variety because seemed colder than rest of skin. Buy this tip was not for a cock but for old times sake, I like, when guys are recognizing me , specially as in this case , guys who weren’t even offed by me. Waiting for a next show I called over nice Cambodian only to find that he works also 5-9 at Royal House as masseur and his name/ nick is Soviet. In meantime Christian left us but I was waiting for second show having nice Soviet time. 500 tip, 200 for time , 300 for name. Then short walk to Castro as I had some time to kill before 1 am, I had a beer watching end of show, somehow I always like it. As time was near I went back to hotel waiting for my guy chatting a bit with resident girls and then with somebody who looked as first time tourist so I chatted him up also not only to confirm my suspicions but also to find out that he is Romanian so I greeted him properly in his language shocking him visibly and in pleasant way at that. Last thing he expected was that somebody will greet him in his native tongue that far from home. Instructed him that this is in big part man liking man area and to illustrate point my guy showed up so we embraced before I shook hands with my pleasant interlocutor. It was very pleasant night , we had few drinks and then embraced to retire in not quite quiet way. Second night and second long time , long live Patttaya thought I remembering that only 11 months ago in the next soi I was swearing not to come here ever ! Day 4 was finished as it should , with Paradise guy right there.

  42. DAY ONE...continuing I headed out to Hot Male Bar using the passageway from Patpong 1 to Patpong 2, I notice a new club/bar/venue is opening/about to open - it faces Patpong 1 and abuts Dreamboys. It's decorated with a Pride flag...but there are three women inside and two guys outside smoking. I've no idea of the ultimate plan or even the momentary one. A few more steps and I see one of the Hot Male Bar boys waving to me. As, I emerge from the passageway, the Dreamboy touts/grabbers are on telling me about Dreamboys. I continue and am grabbed by a familiar face at Hot Male. In May he was the dancer wearing number 1 in the club, now he is has been promoted (?). He takes me up the stairs, I tell him "it's the bar tonight not the club". The two Laotian bar boys join us and take me a bench seat where they can sit with me and I can watch the comings and goings at Dreamboys and in the passageway between Dreamboys and Paradiso. The tout who once was an on stage Hot Male-r was also my counselor when I was in the club in May advising on the pros and cons of his fellow co-workers. He helped set up a night with Hak, one of the coyotes, which turned out well. Of the two Laotian boys, one I've offd in the past when he was at the no longer existing Hot Male 2. The other, I met in May when I was at the bar with Anddy who was the center of attention for this boy. I order a drink and buy drinks for the three guys, a few minutes later, the mamasan from inside is now outside and greeting me. So, i begin to catch up on what is happening in the new Twilight. Spoon arrives, not sure what he made of the scene, but he joined in. I introduced him to the mamasan as Spoon mentioned in a message that he had been to HM and liked one of the guys. Spoon and I discussed what we wanted to do, club(s) were agreed on with the idea of starting at Lucky Boys. I recommended that we get there before the show started so we might get time to see the boys on stage before the show - which, at least in May, was mostly lady boy divas. Agreed, I pay up and we depart. At Lucky Boys we are on our way into the show room when we are spotted by Lucy - the mamsan swoops us up and parks us at a table in the front. I suggested we sit higher up and Lucy points out there are no empty seats for two guys and the guys they may want to sit with. I know not to argue with Lucy as I will be coming back in the future if not on this visit. Drinks ordered there is time to check out the stage and the guys. I offed two guys from here in May and was looking for one, Hab, who had been sending me Line messages on a regular basis. There were more than 40 guys on stage, other than not having Tawan types, there was a definite range of twinks and those just past twinkdom. They I see Yoyo. He is looking at me, our eyes lock, and that's it, I nod and he leaves the stage and joins us. I introduce him to Spoon, who I will later learn, didn't need an introduction. Yoyo until very recently was at Screwboys. That's where I first met him more than 3 years ago. He's Vietnamese and gay and handsome and accommodating. We both understand immediately that I will off him and my night will end early (note, I'm wrong on the ending time). I try to watch the boys on stage. But I'm distracted as Yoyo's adept at putting my hands where I'd like them to be and so forth and so on. We watch the boys change positions and exit and enter the on stage line up. One of the boys is Hab who sees me, smiles, sees Yoyo and smile refocuses. I send him a red note via a waiter. Now, writing this report, I realize that Yoyo and Hab would have been willing for a threesome. My brain didn't go there at the time...must remember for November. I try to talk with Spoon but am distracted...Spoon understands and wishes us a good night. So to know how his night went, we will have to wait on his report. Yoyo goes to get dressed, Lucy and I talk a bit about business, always it could be better I'm told...note - the place is packed with customers and boys and more are entering and the show hasn't started. Yoyo returns and is, as usual, very well dressed and accessorized. Spoon and I make a tentative plan for tomorrow when I will be with another Viet, Van who wants to see me. (see almost all of my earlier reports for the past four years if you want,, but I will summarize in tomorrow's report). As we leave, I ask Yoyo if he wants to eat, he declines. I ask if he'd like to catch one of the other shows and he is interested. We go to enter Dreamboys, but back off with the touts gathering up the Chinese - it's a bit crazy and confusing.. We go instead to Moonlight. The Surawong tout, who used to be one of theTwilight touts for the old Hot Male (the bandana man) is now working for Moonlight, scoops us up and drops us off at the entrance. Inside, we are directed to seats in the area behind the walk way. No thanks, Yoyo takes over and with the blessing of a mamasan who remembers me, we are seated in the center of the first row with the stage right in front of us. This gives me a chance to check out the boys in the rotation. I'm looking for one who I offed twice in May. I don't see him. The show is in transition, some numbers from last May, many new numbers, new costumes, new choreography. From the first row the views are interesting as are the waiters lined up with the Baht wreathes. The regulars among the stars know the audience in general and in particular those who come to see them. Remarkably, tonight there is only one table of women. Very few farangs from the west. Tables upstairs are in use and look packed. When the show starts customers are standing to see the show. We stay until almost the last moment, choosing to dance for a moment in the gangway with Babe as we move to and out the door. Yoyo takes over and leads the way to the Tarntawan. He has his ID at the ready for security. Upstairs we have a drink as we undress one another. he appreciates that I hang up his clothes (he is somewhat vain about his clothes, which are trendy). Undressed, we shower together, he is lithe and gently muscular, more swimmer than gymnast, more than decently endowed, ready to use his skills. I say this as I had had some depleting action during my massage a few hours earlier). Yoyo doesn't accept that as an excuse for me not to come and leads us though what he remembers I like,. I lead the action a bit, and he makes entry easy. He makes sure I come to orgasm but takes time as he isn't in a rush. When I'm now truly depleted he pulls me into keeping him aroused, after lots of sucking, kissing, biting(small bites), finger play, etc...he comes all over me in two large gushes. He laughs, tells me he hasn't come all week...could be true there is a lot to cleanup once we unstick from one another...but that is also exactly what he told me back in February (!)...Forum members can compare notes on this. He stays to cuddle for another hour, then we shower one more time, he dresses and is off. We were together close to six hours. I tipped him 2500...sort of between a short and long time stay. Since, I returned home, I've had a message and/or picture most days. It's now almost 4am and I need some sleep.... TO BE CONTINUED>
