Agree. You would be doing the people of Thailand a great service if you send your suggestion to the office of the Bangkok City Administration (sorry I don't have the address). Changes in procedures to make the country run more efficiently are welcomed warmly and acted upon quickly, especially if they originate with a farang.4 points

Day 4 Thinking about Day 4 is already giving me a hard on. Cuz I went for the O Party at Sauna Mania and it is crazy fun haha.. So they have O-Party on sauna mania on fridays, and at R3 on saturdays. Went slightly earlier to chill abit, at 7:30pm and the place is decently filled with guys. 350 baht entrance to sauna mania. Went to steam room, sauna room and rested a while sitting around and looking at naked guys >.< Event started at 8:30pm where they bring in models who will wear glow in the dark wrist bands, approximately 10 of them. Most of them are really hot, good body, handsome face. Even starts out with the models standing around letting guests grope/lick/suck them, and its really intense, getting groped by at least 5+ ppl at once, and some of the guests are really hungry and ravenous >.< One of the hottest models was a complete btm, although he was quite a hunk, handsome and well built with abs and muscular arms/chest. He was just available to be licked/sucked/kissed by the guests, and one jap guy just went to him from behind and started making out and fucking him, in front of everyone, it was really hot. In the midst of it all i went up and started touching his chest, abs, nipples and licked his abs and nipples, and then we made out ha, while the jap guy was fucking him >.< There was also another model that was twinky hunk kind, who was kneeling down and jerking of several guests around him, and intermittently blowing guys around him , including me. I was then standing beside this other guest, we were both getting blown one after the other by the model who was kneeling down, and I started making out with the other guy. As it progressed, there was all sorts of action everywhere. In the end there was this mass jerking session where we could cum onto the models body, and everyone was standing around jerking. I blew my load on this tattooed model ha. What a night.. Event ended about 9:45pm, and I quickly headed back to the hotel to change and get ready for another night of debauchery. Headed to Jupiter and decided to off a guy. Tried to look for No.59 ( on Day 2 report I thought he was quite cute but he was alr offed), but he wasnt around, so decided to off a guy that I've been with many times before. Boy was slightly shorter than me, handsome and good body too heh. So at one point I decided to off him, and went he went to change. And OMG. While the guy I offed was changing, No.59 walked right past me!! But he was dressed in normal clothes, so I wasn't sure if he was offed or what , or whether it was just his day off and he was hanging around? It did look like it. Cuz he looked like he was drinking with his friends and just came in to use the toilet or whatever, and when he walked past me he looked at me, I smiled, and then we started chatting abit ha. He's like " Hi, I'm blabla ( forgot his name =( ), how are you, you look handsome, what you doing later/tonight" and i was like " oh im with my friend", " boyfriend? " , " no , boy from bar" , and then he looked kinda disappointed and left the bar lols.. urgh. still not the end of story for No.59 though. Boy I offed i've been with many times and we love gg clubbing ha. So we headed to Dj station, drank and clubbed and danced, and then we saw Boy No.59 jamming it out in DJ station stage lol. So yea, I figured he was not working that day but was just drinking around the area with his friends and then came into Jupiter to use the toilet or sth. Boy said that No.59 was his friend and i just kept quiet about our whole semi-encounter-but-not-really-encounter ha. Clubbed till about 2am till DJ closed, went for supper at this nearby 24/7 place. The food is good! Not sure what the place is called but it's along the stretch of bars at the alley with dreamboys and the other bar boys. It's a 24/7 supermarket with an area to eat as well. We were both quite wasted already but supper helped. For the first time we headed back to hotel and slept immediately without sex. Which was left to the morning =) Sigh. Back at work already hence lateish reports, missing all the boys, food, clubs in Bangkok already!3 points

sending money

abidismaili, They are trolling you. I have visited gogo boys’ apartment a few times, very local Thai only apartment block with rental fee from 3000 - 8000 baht per month. They receive postal mails at their rooms. Each apartment has room number written at the door. I don’t know if apartment care taker delivers to their each letter box rather than postman. I have also bought gym equipments for gogo boy and he wrote his apartment address when asked by the shop assistant where to deliver. The delivery company called 30 min. before and delivered & installed the equipment on time. A Jupiter boy has once told me he bought a fake gold chain on internet for 200 baht, so even gogo boys do shop online. lol2 points -
Unless money is an issue or you havent decided whether you are going to brazil or thailand, u should stop comparing tickets between thailand and brazil. You already decided u wont go to thailand, so comparing will only make you feel bad. Also, if your holiday date is fixed already, airlines hardly goes cheaper the closer you are to the dates, unless they are having sales or you are willing to wait for last minutes deals.2 points

I don't know if there's any interest for this type of post on this forum. I understand how some are very defensive when it comes to Thailand and take offence to anyone comparing Thailand to another destination. This post is not a Thailand bashing post, its a post about a long time Thailand tourist giving Brazil a try. After many years of visiting Thailand and reading travel reports of people who not only visited Thailand but other exotic destinations, I felt it was time for me to try another place. I could not decide right away if I was going to visit Mexico or Brazil but after reading newspapers, TripAdvisor reports, and trip reports on boytoy.com. I decided on Brazil. At the time of this post 100 Brazilian reals equaled $24.70 USD. That weighed a lot with my decision since the moneyboys of Brazil seem to ask around that amount for an hour's worth of fun. Ihttps://www.vivalocal.com/acompanhantes-gays/rio-de-janeiro-capital/t+5 i also found some very nice Airbnb rentals near the beach for less than $40 a night with excellent reviews. For a few weeks I have been chatting with some Brazilian guys on PlanetRomeo. I'd say seven of the ten guys I am talking to are money boys. Two of the 10 guys I am talking to can speak English the remaining eight requires my use of a translator. Unlike the tie guys I talk to I take for granted not needing a translation app. The bodies and the bulges of the guys in Brazil speak for themselves. That is another reason why I decided on Brazil rather than Mexico. I'm all set to buy my ticket and I'm kicking myself for not buying it last week when I came across the irate for $900 with only one stop in Miami. Now that same flight is $1,300. For the fun of it I changed my airport destination to Bangkok and quickly came back with a ticket cost I'll $700 on Qatar airways. I am so tempted to say the hell with it and go to Thailand but I'm determined to see what else is out there. If there is any interest I'll continue this thread as I move forward with my planning and travel to Brazil and post the good and the bad as well as the stupid mistakes I make along the way.1 point

Website with news of gay businesses
Wynter11 reacted to daydreamer for a topic
Once in a while I check a website called bangkokeyes.com to see the latest nightlife news. The August 2019 edition has a few snippets about Chill Out Boy Bar in Patpong 1 being closed with a photo. It also mentions Bangkok Massage moving from Soi Twilight to Patpong 2 (with photo), and this - "The newly relocated (from Soi Twilight 2 months ago) Hotmale Bar Beer is in the process of renaming themselves the Midnite. Located next to Pinocchios. We'll attempt to get some comprehensive pics next issue.... " If you've never visited bangkokeyes, take a look. It's predominantly aimed at the straight nightlife venues, but they don't discriminate. Their archives are extensive, and there are many old photos taken on Soi Twilight showing the lighted signs of the bars that were there. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, the archived page from 01 JUN 2019 has a whole article dedicated to Gay Patpong and Soi Twilight. I am copying a couple photos from their website here. I hope I'm not violating any rules in doing so. These photos shown here are the property of Bangkok Eyes, not my own. This last photo is a map of Patpong showing the gay businesses. The lavender colored ones are listed as gay in their website as of April 2019. I think by posting this here, it will boost the readership for the Bangkok Eyes website.1 point -

20% of World's oxygen is from the Amazon
AdamSmith reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
An estimated 20% of the world’s oxygen is produced by the Amazon rainforest! If destroyed or degraded, the Amazon, as a system, is simply beyond humanity’s ability to get back. Even if people were to replant half a continent’s worth of trees, the diversity of creatures across Amazonia, once lost, will not be replenished for roughly 10 million years. What happens to the Amazon is ALL of our business. Oxygen is far more valuable to humans and living creatures than oil. This is non-negotiable.1 point -
Not to worry. Staffed by farang volunteers, a special window dedicated to undeliverable mail is now available at the Bangkok central post. In the event you are unaware of your actual street address (as is so often the case), the volunteers will ask you for the name of the nearest massage shop and then conduct a Google Earth search. Tips are not accepted but names of particularly good masseurs are appreciated. Please note that this service is only available to foreigners. Locals have already figured this out for themselves.1 point

Boa tarde fellas! SInce my first visit to Rio about 5 years ago (and my near-accidental discovery of 117 on our last day of the trip) I've been dragging my (less slutty) husband there a couple times a year. Well, this time, he's off to Asia and I'm on my own....(a little scary for a few reasons...) I arrive to Rio on Thursday morning (Aug 29), probably the worst day, having just missed Mon, Tues, Wed! The 3 ways I like to hookup there are: 1. sauna com boys (so easy and convenient you get to see and talk to the guy first.) Question 1. How's the Lion's Sauna going? I know it just opened, but is it worth going and what nights? 2. Free hookups from Grindr (nothing beats the energy of a guy who's into it not just for the money) Question 2: I usually stay in an Airbnb, I found Copacabana full of tourists on Grindr, Gloria and Lapa have been better; anyone stayed downtown to get the office crowds during the day? 3. Callboys from Internet sites Garotoscomlocal mostly but also, garotolandia, netgay, vivalocal, rentmen. This I have the least experience with, Ive done more in Sao Paulo because I have found the Lagoa boys kinda lackluster and the ones online really high quality (a bit more expensive, but I don't mind paying a little more if it's going to be a really exceptional experience.) Question 3: Which site is best? Any qualms or safety tips about having them come over your place or going over theirs? (I don't travel with any valuables except I do value my life and safety haha) Any worries about "fake" ads by guys who want to rob/hurt/kidnap you? Thanks guys! Any other new or interesting updates are welcome Obrigado! P.S. lastly but not least, does anyone know Piedro below I met him in 2017 and he really is my favorite ever. Nicest guy. His mobile never worked after the next visit. does anyone know how I can get in touch with Piedro? [edit: sorry I didn't mean to make the pictures so big!]1 point

Planning a longer trip - holidays 2019

I also highly recommend Somerset Park and I totally agree with DivineMadman about Le Meridien in Chiang Mai. It used to be a lovely hotel. No longer. Besides when I stayed bout a year ago, the large bed mattresses were quite old with valleys and hills which made sleep awkward. The Shangri La is not far away A little further is the quite lovely Ping Nakara Boutique Hotel and spa in a glorious colonial building. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the service excellent http://www.pingnakara.com But avoid the Marina Bay Sands like the PLAGUE! It is a stunning piece of architecture and the infinity pool at the top is great. BUT - check out a lot of tripadvisor reviews. Two days ago, one post was headed "Truly awful, outdated, overcrowded tourist trap" The problem is the hotel is so massive it cannot cope with the numbers - even after being open almost a decade. You will encounter queues everywhere. When I stayed, it took 20 minutes queuing just to get to reception. I was on floor 46. very time I tried to get a lift it was about a 5 minute wait. When I came down for breakfast there was a very long queue. It took almost 30 minutes to get a seat. When I checked out, forearmed is forewarned, it took about 25 minutes. I will never in my life consider staying at that dreadful excuse for a hotel again. As for the pool, you will enjoy it. But you will feel like a caged animal in a circus. The hotel permits the public access to that floor for payment. So you will have 100 plus people watching your every move. Want a drink? Be prepared to wait a long time to find a waiter and another to get your drink. Want a non-smoking room? You will get one, but someone will have been smoking in it quite recently. The hotel caters to so many guests from China (they come for the casino) most of whom seem to smoke. My non-smoking room had several cigarette burns on the desk and the table. A final point. You will notice that the overall Tripadvisor ratings are quite high. You will find a host of reviews from posters who have made only 1 or 2 posts in their lives. Invariably all are in the rave category. Disregard these and the overall rating falls. The Singapore government has a stake in Marina Bay Sands and a lot riding on it. Years ago on Tripadvisor, it came last of all the country's 5-star hotels. Within a year, thanks to a host of short 2 or 3 line 5-star rave reviews, it began to rise in the rankings. It was discovered that virtually all of those reviews had been deliberately "planted". Singapore has lots of excellent 5 star hotels. On the basis of my experience and that of my colleagues (I was attending an international conference with speakers from around the world) none of us would consider staying there again. Sorry!1 point -

Great news! A couple of thoughts. Somerset BKK - I have a friend of mixed Thai-American heritage who spends a lot of time back and forth and she highly recommends Somerset House. As you well know, very convenient to Prince. Le Meridien Chiang Mai I stayed there a couple of years ago and it was the only time I've ever been disappointed by the Le Meridien brand. My friend and I were just lost in the chaos of the 99% of the hotel customers who were part of large tour groups. I've sent several visiting family and friends to the Tamarind Village hotel and they have all liked it, and it seems to be at a roughly comparable price point to Le Meridien. Tamarind Village It's within the old city walls and has more of a traditional Chiang Mai feel than the soul-less generic Le Meridien. Staff is very friendly in my experience and the restaurant is excellent but pricey.1 point -

I'm not sure Chinese Joe is the one who's up to that task. Am I the only one who sees Biden as having an enormous liability in a general election with his Chinese influence? Will it not come up in primaries at all? China is very much for free trade in every other country but not in China. It does the minimum necessary to pretend. Even though in a totally free-trade environment it would win hands down. But in a total surveillance police state like China free anything is impossible.1 point -

Not sure how I missed hearing about the Telharmonium all these years, but I guess better late than never. Also called the Dynamophone by its inventor, Dr. Thaddeus Cahill, this early electric organ is considered the first electromechanical musical instrument. Cahill invented it in 1897, before vacuum tubes were used to generate electrical waveforms and, in fact, before vacuum tubes themselves were even invented. It used a “tonewheel” mounted to an electric motor to generate a waveform in an adjacent electromagnetic coil. The number of nubs on the wheel and the speed of the electric motor determined the frequency of the waveform generated by the coil. While the principal was pretty straightforward, the implementation was not. It took some fairly heavy-duty gear to generate a single frequency. And, since a large number of individual frequencies were required - simultaneously no less - to produce a tune, it makes sense that the Telharmonium was a large device by any standards. The first model that Cahill constructed - the Mark I - weighed seven tons! By the time he got to the Mark II, the beast weighed in at over 200 tons and required 670 kilowatts of electricity to operate! Obviously, Cahill couldn’t easily move it around to find his audiences, and amplifiers hadn’t been invented yet, so his idea was to transmit the sound produced by the Telharmonium over the telephone system which was just getting going around this time. There weren’t any loudspeakers then either, so Cahill figured he’d send a full ampere of current down the line to each telephone and get the earpiece vibrating so loudly that the listener didn’t even need to pick it up to listen. This, of course, begat its own set of problems, crosstalk in particular, so that early telephone users would sometimes hear strange musical sounds interfering with their voice calls. One story has it “that a New York businessman, infuriated by the constant network interference, broke into the building where the Telharmonium was housed and destroyed it, throwing pieces of the machinery into the Hudson river below.” For a while, around the turn of the century, Cahill leased a space at 39th and Broadway and gave live performances of his invention, while sending the music down the telephone wires to those who were interested in hearing it, as well as to some who were not interested in hearing it. Sadly, no recordings of the Telharmonium exist today and Cahill’s brother scrapped whatever remnants of the device remained in 1950. But the tonewheel mechanism and Cahill's designs formed the basis for the original Hammond organ four decades later. By that time, vaccuum tubes, electronic amplifiers and loudspeakers had been invented and Cahill’s original ideas lived on and thrived. By the way, a two hundred ton instrument would be about the equivalent of a hundred Honda Civics in mass. Dr. Cahill was nothing if not committed to getting his music out to the public.1 point

In Grindr or Scruff, at least in Rio, there is an increasing number of guys who claim to like "maduros" or "coroas"or "50 +" ie older gentlemen. During my first trips to Rio, back 10 years ago, these ads were very rare. They are now common and are basically of 4 types : - the garotos de programa who are identified as such in the ad - the garotos who are in fact garotos de programa but who do not identify themselves as GP and try to find an older gentlemen who will think that he is not a guy next door and not a GP - the garotos really liking older gentlemen, who are of course a very small minority. They are not expecting anything else than finding a boyfriend or starting a relationship with someone older. They are not looking for money. Since my first travel, I met around 15 of these boys and am still in contact with a few of them, even meeting some of them, for dinner or more, when I am in Brazil - the crooks. This is a new category which seems to be growing and I know that there is a gang of these boys operating in Rio and Sao Paulo. They will meet you and then blackmail you, rob you and put pressure on you to get money. Below are some of the precautions I take to try to identify the boys who genuinely like older gentlemen : - I make it very clear that I am not looking for a GP and I am not prepared to pay for sex (normally the guys from first 2 categories above stop chatting) - I make it clear that I am not (only) looking for sex but want to have discussion on subjects such as politics, travels, languages, art, music, ... - I try to use internet sites which are specialized in bears (and therefore avoid Grindr or Scruff or be even more careful on these general sites) - I check if they know the places where older gentlemen and younger guys who like them meet together (ie La Cueva in Rio and ABC Bailao in Sao Paulo, or internet sites such as ursosderio, or sauna such as Carioca in Rio or Sauna LeRouge 80 in Sao Paulo) - Some questions raise a red flag, in particular the question "are you alone in Rio ?" or personnal questions coming too early and not naturrally during the exchange (on job, ...) - Some attachments also raise a red flag : a too good looking guy -almost a model -, nudes of open asses or huge dicks sent very early in the exchange, ... - I always meet in a public place first, never in my hotel or apartment. I normally arrive in advance in order to see who is coming, if he is alone, is he looks like the pictures which were sent, etc - I never ever go to a boy's place. It is an unknown environment and you never know whom you are going to meet. In addition, a movie or pictures of your meeting can be done ... I remember the story of this american guy who recently in Rio went with 2 guys he met in the street and with whom he had drinks. He was threatened to be thrown from the window and his head and torso were already out (his shouting made the neighbours call the cops). BTW the 2 guys were working in 117. I saw one of them in 117 a few days after the incident. The other is banned from 117, certainly for other reasons. In addition, it is impossible to know what is going to be1 point

I went last year (2018) I met 2 guys on Grindr. One was 19, the other 21. I could have met perhaps 2 or 3 more also. But ran out of time. Both quite nice guys. Not really escorts as such. But willing to see a guy in his late 30's (me) for a fee. Actually, nothing was arranged up front. Just at the end, they asked if I could 'help'. Which was completely expected. And of course I did not mind. I asked how much they would like, and really they would be happy with 50 euros, but i gave them that, plus also 1000 to 1500 UAH, which is only about 25 to 35 Aussie dollars. Plus I gave Maxim, a 50 Aussie note at the end to remember me by! But I think he cashed it in. Actually both were happy to come back and see me again, which they did (not together). I actually not into penetration at all, so really, just kissing, sucking, plus massage and feeling there bodies. plus we went out to dinner a couple of times, and I went to the market and got some drinks. So I'm easy! But yes, I like Kiev, I've been now 5 times. I'm quite shy so I don't really go up to anyone in the street. But lots of beautiful straight guys around. Actually I think Ukraine, and Kiev are on the move, after some pretty tough economic times (and still not great). I say this to people, and they don't believe me, but Kiev is so cheap for an Australian (and therefore cheap for an American). It's actually cheaper than Thailand or Bali for eating and drinks. And a single trip on the metro costs something like 20 cents. I have only been in the summer I should add. I would like to go in winter, but a Aussie like me would probably freeze to death!1 point -

This Eduardo is certainly going to be the next ambassador of Brazil in the US. Trump said he was "exceptionnal". And he has all the skills needed : he "cooked hamburgers in the US" (lol). He is friend of Steve Bannon, loves arms. And an "astrologist" as adviser ? Perfect. “Obviously I am not a career diplomat,” he said on Thursday, but he added: “The nomination or indication of a person so close to the president … would be well seen by the American side.” The Viriginia-based far-right astrologist and conspiracy theorist Olavo de Carvalho, a guru to the Bolsonaro clan, could be an “adviser”, he said. On Friday Eduardo met Brazil’s foreign minister, Ernesto Araújo, and said he had received his support. “I’ve already fried hamburgers in the United States,” he tol reporters. “I’ve seen the receptive North American treatment for Brazilians.”0 points
