    'Deep tissue' massage

Once we get past 60, the chances we’re on one or multiple meds is not uncommon. But when you look at the “side effects” information you don’t see any anything regarding how your meds may influence your massage experience. That’s why I cited the Consumer Reports Health Letter advisory and posted related links. My intention was to increase awareness but certainly not discourage the practice that I so much personally enjoy (as evidenced by my previous posts on the topic). After reading the links I was encouraged to learn that there a very few instances where individuals are advised to forego a massage altogether. In the vast majority of cases, only a change in massage technique is recommended. Here’s a few examples from the link that provides suggestions for those giving the massage: “During massage, especially toward the end of the session, use strokes that are faster and more stimulating. However, avoid deep tissue work if your client is experiencing numbness or tingling.” “Remember, too, to use great care when employing deep tissue massage and strokes like pertrissage, friction and compression when high blood pressure, blood clotting, bruising, or muscle or tissue weakness are a potential problem. Here, massage therapists may want to rely more on Swedish massage and gentle strokes, such as rhythmic effleurage and rocking.” Personally, I like to spend a few moments talking with my massage guy about my preferences (i.e., nit noi oil). If I was taking a med that can be affected by massage, this would be the time to give him any additional instructions. I probably average a massage at least every other day on my LOS trips. Like everyone else here, I want each one to end happily for both myself and my masseur.

  2. The Malaysia recently celebrated 50 years of ownership by the Ma family with some redecoration and mildly increased prices, but I don't believe the owners or their policies have changed.

    My New Paulista Puppy

With this guy, I have no need to ever go again to either Lagoa or Fragata here in São Paulo. He is from a smallish city near Campinas but lives near Largo do Arouche. Both in-calls, out-calls and overnights. R$100-R$250.

  7. The average customer would have more money GOING TO 117 than the average sauna garoto. The average sauna garoto would have more money LEAVING 117 than the average customer.

  8. Taxi rank? Nowadays, Uber will come door to door. Also the taxi apps will pick you up at the door as well. I’d recommend doing either if you’re concerned for your safety. I won’t discount anyone’s personal experience, because everyone is different and people are targeted for crime for different reasons. However, I will say that I’ve never had an issue walking from 117 to the Gloria Metro. I will now knock on wood!

  12. The problem is surely not just one of a policy gone wrong. Like all third world countries (even if bordering on second world) many rural Thai families traditionally needed a large number of children to tend their fields and ensure they would be looked after in their old age. Some inevitably would gravitate to the cities but some had to stay at home. It was this very large group that Mechais campaigns targeted. But then as Thailand's economy started to take off in the 1980s, some of the wealth trickled down and there was a reduced economic need for families to have so many children. At 2.2 kids per family, Thailand would be at slightly above replacement rate. However, not quoted from the Bloomberg article in the OP is that Thailand has dropped quite a bit below that. It states the rate now is 1.5. So Thailand is only fractionally ahead of Japans 1.43 and a little further ahead of Singapore at 1.16. Japan has introduced measures to keep older people in work voluntarily. Thailand is stuck with a retirement age of 60 and no political will to raise it. Singapore has tried for decades not just to get couples to produce more babies but to get men and women actually to marry. Nothing seems to work. So Singapore imports a huge number of foreign workers. Of a population of 5.64 million, only 3.47 million are Singapore nationals! That I assume is the route Thailand will have to take. And we wonder why there are so few Thai boys in the go-go bars compared to 30 years ago!

  13. It's a subscription-only newsletter. You can't link to it. I read the hard copy this morning at the library. A quick Google search turned up many links regarding massage therapy and medications. This table covers some of them. 14. I like this sentence ending an article you gave us link to " Many would rather not face the truth. Many would rather let sex workers suffer silently when exploited by an underground industry, so that Thais can continue to smile. ", how true !

  15. Personally I think the casual racism on the board is astonishing, but it seems to be limited (I hope) to a few complainers. The adage among the happier expats in Thailand is, "Don't try to change Thailand. Let Thailand change you." You don't necessarily have to believe that 100%, but it's an essential thought experiment for any good expat or traveler.

  16. Is the "First" World so much better? We shoot each other in the supermarket and schools and drop bombs on cultures and nations we don't like. Unless car ownership-or in the US, assault-weapon ownership- is considered the summit of achievement, then we should welcome the fact that some people don't care for it. I've travelled widely over the past decades; there's nowhere I've visited, however poor, that hasn't got something to teach us. And that includes Thailand.

  17. Riobard, 1. You misused the word puttings: Grammar 2. You called him a boy: Boy police 3. You talked about Condoms: Condom Police 4. I assume that condom was going into an asshole: so 4 for four. jk I just like your response hit all 4 of the posters questions so fast.

  18. I have never seen grammar police here. I don't see condom police here. And, with the name boytoy, I do often see people get their panties in a wad when someone says the word boy but we all know it means over 18. If I ever saw a thread the condoned under 18, the thread would be gone and the poster would be gone.

  19. I am in Rio! Azul's flight from Baires was great, I was in my Airbnb in Copacabana by 8:30 PM. As I was tired, instead of going to 117, I went to 202. The lady in the counter warned me that Sunday was a slow day. I walked in and a group of about 7 GPs were hanging out in the bar, and I was the immediate focus of attention, as there were not many clients around. Carlos, a mountain of muscles (not my type) gave me a very warm welcome, but I invited him with a drink and did my best to get ride of him. When I was starting to regret my decision to go to the closest sauna instead of going to the best one, I hooked up with Diego. Diego is a pretinho I had met in Salvador, who is one of @numazu1's boys. Our friend (he still reads the forums now and then) likes sending me pictures of his harem to make me jealous, and Diego is actually the only boy in his crew that I always loved. I was not in the mood to fuck, so we just made up, he did a programa, and came back to me and we kept making out. He is an excellent kisser and exactly the kind of guy I like: athletic, smooth, and not over muscular. We left together just a few minutes ago and made an appointment for tomorrow. We are going to spend the day in the beach, besides playing, and he quoted me only R150. Of course, I am going to be much more generous than that, the guys is delicious. I am disappointed at Grindr. When I arrive to Baires o Corrientes, the app does not stop hitting me. I have been here for about 4 hours and just 3 hits, all of them not appealing. I need to do grocery shopping, I am starving.

  20. As we continue, we now c*m, I mean come to the most exciting part of my recent trip in BKK, my visit @ MOONLIGHT!!! For those who still don't know, its very near Soi Twilight, just across the street and a little walk, you can already see the sign of Moonlight. The bar is very classy and I like the modern design of the place. On my way to the entrance, I was greeted by the very friendly mamasans and staff. The mamasans are in formal attire while the staff wears a Moonlight shirt. Upon payment of 400 baht for the entrance, I was escorted by a courteous staff on the available seat and ask for my drink. Tip: try seating on the upper left corner when you face the stage, beside it was the locker room of the boys and guess what? with a transparent curtain and you can see them changing clothes, checking-out their bodies, among other things, haa haa. The show is about to start and the boys are already in stage with numbers and wearing beach shorts. Some are shirtless (the hot guys) while the other wears a shirt (the cute guys). On some seats beside the customer, there are model-type guys in jeans. Also, for those who doesn't know, there are standard boys and premium boys (the model guys who are more expensive) here. While seated and enjoying the display of boys on stage, I was greeted by a long haired mamasan who seat beside me. He asked me if I want a particular boy on stage. I said "no" and smile. Then the mamasan show me pictures of boys on his smartphone. He recommended some boys, they're hot but not hot enough for me, haa haa, so I said again "no" with a smile. When I turned to my side, I saw a model in jeans who are seated beside a customer. How can I describe him? Well, he is very handsome, good-looking, gorgeous, cute, hunky, studly, attractive, charming, adorable, heartthrob, head-turner, eye candy, gym-fit, muscular, sexy, hot3x & a bae. Did I describe him well you can picture him on your mind? Ha ha...I'll call him Mr. Handsome Guy I asked the long-haired mamasan beside me "what about him?" pointing to Mr. Handsome Guy. The mamasan responded "oh <name of model>, he is a model, he's 4,500 when offed"...I expect him to be expensive. Then the mamasan continued "how about him?" pointing to a hot guy on stage, but I replied "no I want him, can I buy him a drink?", pointing to Mr. Handsome Guy. The mamasan replied "okay" and was gone. I think he talked to Mr. Handsome Guy when he stand-up. I did not notice since I'm busy watching the hot guys on stage. At that time, I thought to myself maybe Mr. Handsome Guy was already taken by the customer beside him and I may not have a chance to see him closer. To my surprise, Mr. Handsome Guy is walking near my seat. I froze for a moment seeing his well-defined and toned body and his very appealing and handsome face. He greeted me and my smile was fixed for a moment, I can't believe I can see him this close. Then he seats beside me and he said "You want me?" and then I said "Yes, I'll buy you a drink", afterwards he ordered a drink to the waiter. We had a chat (and also bargain) as his drink arrived, we toast our drinks and I love looking on his handsome face, with an expressive eyes, pointed nose, kissable lips, pearly white teeth and perfect smile. I even put my arms on his shoulder feeling his flawless skin, he he. This is one of the best moment in my life tbh. Then after a couple of minutes, he asked if he can have another drink, but I said "no, nice meeting you" while giving him a handshake. Wow, I like touching his soft hand, ha ha. Then the show begins...I can say Moonlight got the BEST show I've seen so far. They provided all you want in a show, be it a f*ck show, s*ck show, c*ck show, solo act, shower act, leather/s&m, sexy dance, modern dance, and even some with a story like a couple who married (both boys) but betrayed each other (by killing each other), nice, very nice. Aside from that, almost all boys perform on stage and they were highlighted on the show, even the premium boys. I also particularly like this Asian model boy who at first does not appeal to me but when he started to move in the dance, wow, he becomes appealing, his shoes was even removed bcoz of his intense dancing. But of course, my heart skips faster everytime Mr. Handsome Guy is on stage. First in jeans when the premium boys was called. He really knows how to connect to the audience thru his smile and looks. Lastly, in skimpy undies (with army fatigue design) where I catch my breath seeing his bulge and pubes, whew. He really knows how to tease the audience. The funny thing is that I was so overwhelmed I forgot to give a tip to the long haired mamasan, my bad. All-in-all, the experience @ Moonlight was the best so far. Did I ever have the chance to be with Mr. Handsome Guy? Yes, we meet the next day...TO BE CONTINUED

  21. This isn't news to me. I was assaulted three times in February. A tall younger Brazilian friend was visiting me in the center of São Paulo on a weekday at 11am, was assaulted and robbed. I posted a warning six months ago, and most of the members on this site made light of it. I gave up. It seemed no one wanted to take the advice of a gringo who has been living in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo permanently for the last ten years.
