Indiscrete question about how many boys you have had a day?
SolaceSoul and one other reacted to paborn for a topic
First, I apologize to one and all for my bad eyesight- two operations and computer glare still foils me. I meant, of course, "THESE are" and the PERSIAN boy., I will try to be more careful in the future. Still, it is worth pointing out that @SolaceSoul was not being pedantic. We can all find innocent uses of the word "boy" but his point, I believe, was that Federal authorities are likely to take the most pejorative view possible.2 points -

‘The Best Way to Deal With Russia: Wait for It to Implode’
RA1 and one other reacted to tassojunior for a topic
YES And 3 things: 1. Almost all the money we borrow for wars and tax cuts for the rich is borrowed from Chinese. We have no leverage to threaten them. 2. China is becoming number 1 in category after category rapidly. But their natural enemy and buffer, European Russia, is being attacked by the US more and more harshly. Instead of allying with Russia to contain China, we are forcing Russia to ally with China. 3. Biden scares the bejesus out of me with all the money he's taken from China and what a puppet he is for China.2 points -
Much better. Agree entirely. China is who to worry about long-term. To them, their recent 300-year stumble on the world stage is a very short-term goof-up. Their notion of the long view starts with 1000-year periods of history.2 points

On almost every trip I use that approach of booking some hotels well in advance and some just before departure including some bookings when I'm already there and showing at the door without reservation so can say I did some research on the subject and results are the same like yours - very inconclusive. Apart from high of highs season like second half of Dec , first half of Jan and week around Songkran there are always rooms available so no danger of sleeping on the street or very expensively when arriving without reservation but I did notice very few spectacular last minute savings although they do happen but usually in higher end places and are very short lived. ( few years ago just before going to bed I got e-mail from one of our members that Raya has spectacular discounts on Expedia , I'm glad I acted immediately because in the morning offers were gone and it was something like 45 $ for huge Executive room with breakfast for 2 which rarely goes for less than 90-100 $ ). On another hand if somebody feels strongly about staying somewhere ( or definitely NOT staying somewhere ) my advice would be to book as soon as acceptable price will be available to avoid disappointments. If one doesn't really care as long as lodging is within desired area and price range than last minute bookings may produce some savings Additional perks like free breakfast appear more often well in advance than in last minute offerings. Thing to watch is free cancellation as often for 2-3 $ more we can have that option, handy is something better will present itself ( my case in Tarntawan in Nov 2013 when I cancelled earlier made booking and booked the same type of room there for enough savings to bother ) Another one is to look at all offers of the place as not necessarily cheapest one is the best, sometimes for literally few $ more one may get better class room with free cancellation and free breakfast instead of bare bones non -refundable offer in ' superior' room . (As we all noticed 'superior ' in many places means " superior to sleeping on the street" )2 points

From Reuters LOPBURI, Thailand (Reuters) - Thousands are flocking to see a Buddhist temple in central Thailand exposed after drought drove water levels to record lows in a dam reservoir where it had been submerged. As the reservoir reaches less than 3% of capacity, the remains of Wat Nong Bua Yai, a modern temple submerged during construction of the dam 20 years ago, have became visible in the middle of dry ground. Some Buddhist monks were among the hundreds of people who walked through broken temple structures on cracked earth littered with dead fish last week to pay respects to a headless 4-metre (13-feet) -tall Buddha statue, adorning it with flowers. "The temple is normally covered by water. In the rainy season you don't see anything," said one of the visitors, Somchai Ornchawiang, a 67-year-old retired teacher. He regretted the temple flooding but is now worried about the damage the drought is causing to farmland, he added. The dam, with capacity of 960 million cubic meters, normally irrigates more than 1.3 million acres (526,000 hectares)of farmland in four provinces, but drought has cut that to just 3,000 acres (1,214 hectares) in the single province of Lopburi. The meteorological department says Thailand is facing its worst drought in a decade, with water levels in dams nationwide having fallen far short of the monthly average. The topic comes up from time to time and usually generates comments from both ends of the spectrum from committed butterflies to those in LTR's. Dodger, well known to members of all boards, has posted an impressive account of his first LTR on Gaybutton's site. What distinguishes it IMO is his honesty and openness. Regardless of where individual members fall on the spectrum, I believe that you'll be glad you read it. "I just returned from my first visit to my deceased boyfriend’s village since his death 7 years ago. I had been prolonging this visit for all these years for no other reason than to avoid sorrow, which, admittedly, is selfish on my behalf. Thep and I had spent two years building a house with the intentions that the lower level would be for his mother, sister, and two younger brothers to live, and upper level for us. The house is located in a small village 7 klms from the town of Kantharalak which sits on the Thai/Cambodian border. Just days after the house was completed, the monks were summoned to perform the house blessing ceremony, followed, almost immediately, by my departure to the U.S. to continue working. Unfortunately, Thep and I never had the chance to spend a night together in the house." Continues at https://gaybuttonthai.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9887&start=701 point

In the South a lot of white adult males refer to each other as "boy". Also, as one advances in age, a boy seems to become someone younger than 45 or so. Neither suggests any age younger than 18. A Southern racial slur that I recall my father (innocently using) was to call an older Black man, "young man" which seems to suggest he is still vigorous. In more recent times I have been called that by middle aged Black men. I mildly resented it and I am sure those my father called did also. I have never used such an appellation. OTOH I mildly resent Black boys (those much younger than 18) who object to being called "boy". This is a learned bad lesson. For further instruction on these points just listen to a Black male coach talk to his charges. And, close your ears. Best regards. RA11 point

"Actually, across a span of 42 years of gay culture immersion, I do not recall the use of "boy" employed at all for young adult sex partner. We might casually say "nice boy" to generically describe any pleasant male." You, perhaps have not noticed the title of this forum. My gay community peers not in our tribe " This are, perhaps, those who do NOT read a forum clearly named: Boy-Toy . But, have they never read "The Person Boy" or the Greek myths? Really? Personally , I celebrate, each April 25 the Roman holiday of Robigallia Day to honor the tax contributions of the boy prostitutes of Ancient Rome. The usage is not restricted to south of the 49th.1 point

Khao San rd. to get facelift

I disagree. When traveling SE Asia out in the countryside I find the young backpackers taking in the same cultural sights and experiences as I or the other travelers do, and often even more adventurous. Sure they like to find nice beaches, bars and waterfalls. Good for them. Also worth remembering the extraordinary (good) work of the backpackers after the tsunami in '04. As far as Khao San Rd is concerned - people are having fun. I don't see the problem. And young Thais also do go there, including super sweetheart Jack (formerly of Maxi's) and his young THAI friends.1 point -
Confused: 19 saunas listed in Rio but no Club 117
brockmiller reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
Currently, there are 3 gay saunas in Rio with “garotos de programa” (rent men): Club 117, Point 202, and the new Lion’s. There are a few other gay sauna without garotos de programa, if that’s what you’re interested in. They are most similar to, but not exactly like, American bathhouses. The most popular one is Rio G Sauna, in a very safe neighborhood, Ipanema. Rio G gets more of a “gay nightclub crowd”, with the similar gay nightclub attitude and pretense. The patrons at the other non-payboy gay saunas will probably be less... physically discriminating... when it comes to selecting their play partners. I seriously doubt there are 19 gay saunas in Rio. Your map may be including saunas for straight men (with female workers — garotas de programa), or just spas. Any gay-themed Rio website will have a list of saunas on it — although they might not be updated.1 point -
I paid Agoda £22 pn at Tarntawan for a September stay seven weeks ago; the price is now over £40. Ergo, book early? Well, no. A year ago, Chiang Mai's Amora's Agoda's price actually decreased after I'd booked. Vianapu is correct; some prices are very complicated and some of the bigger hotels have an array of rooms with different designations that are hard to understand. Breakfast, in my experience, is always worth paying for with the room price. I booked a room at a Krabi hotel in May- rather more expensive than usual- and , seduced by an apparently cheap deal, didn't pre-book breakfast. Buying it daily was expensive and in the long-run, cost me a lot.1 point

Good thing too. There have been a number of Major Assholes over the years, but they seem to get drummed out of the corps before they ever make it to Colonel. I dimly recall a Brigadier General Asshole who served briefly on the Southern flank, but he was such a raging bottom that OZ had to cashier him before all his troops deserted. If we ever do manage to attract someone with more than one star, you can be pretty sure he’ll pop up in the Politics Forum, so check there when you find yourself ready to deal. Note that i wrote "variables or arbitrary binaries on a gradient". Meaning that some of the relevant constructs are 2-side categorical and yet there may be a continuum of meaning for some variables. For example, a high-end callgirl's ad broker and an inbound port storage container broker might be clumped together. A binary such as indictment vs summary prosecution may also be applied to a 2-plus continuum. BTW, I do believe there is currently low consensus on gender as a binary. Please try not to get too caught up in the nomenclature. Arbitrary is relevant because there is lacking complete and consistently accepted reason behind certain aspects of the law, in tandem with the peremptory application of authority that is driven by public opinion with inadequate capacity to interpret the available body of related research, and in many cases it is a challenge to define a constant of specified value. Get all that, Rob?1 point

Here's a weird word observation. "Loquacious" has a variety of both neutral and pejorative meanings. Its anyonym ... reticent, reserved or uncommunicative, etc ... also holds a range of neutral and derogatory meanings. Thus, being one and not the other, either way, places the labelled in a paradoxical bind of being cast in a negative light. SS, you may be even more deviously and intelligently manipulative, for innocent shits and giggles of course, than I have given you credit for. LOL.1 point

Indiscrete question about how many boys you have had a day?
paborn reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
As loquacious as your comment may be, to be very clear, the OP also stated succinctly and clearly in his original comment: “I had safe sex with many boys on a two day trip i recently made to Colombia”. This wasn’t about the colloquial use of the term “had”, but the literal meaning of “sex with boys”. It’s hard to defend that from an overzealous investigator / prosecutor post-script. “But every other reader knew what I meant!” is not a very good defense. Clearer language is much more preferable.1 point -

Well I hereby inform you all that when I use “sex with boys” on this forum, I mean guys over 18. This is the last time I explain. I won’t bother to reply to those who pretend not to understand. I think we need to have a rule on this forum: assume good faith = If there are multiple interpretation of what someone says, we should assume the most charitable interpretation of what was said (“he uses a word in a different way from me”), not the worst (“he is a pedophile and a criminal”). I mean, look at this thread. All the OP wanted was to know how many. Now the thread is about crime. Without that rule, this place is toxic, which is why I am only here when I really need to.1 point -

The new law was already challenged in court. The judge threes out the challenge on the grounds that the plaintiffs did not have proper standing to sue — citing no “direct harm” by the law. These plaintiffs are supposedly appealing that ruling, but a better group of plaintiffs should re-file. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2018/09/fosta-case-update-court-dismisses-lawsuit-without-ruling-whether-statute https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2019/02/fosta-already-leading-censorship-we-are-seeking-reinstatement-our-lawsuit1 point -
Indiscrete question about how many boys you have had a day?
AdamSmith reacted to tassojunior for a topic
First, I am in the USA, in the heart of the beast in DC. Almost a life-long resident. But it's Silicon Valley that should be most scared by this law. No one has been charged under the law yet and we were hoping they would have been by now to get a Supreme Court review. The law is retro-active, which is clearly unconstitutional, and the court can either take out that clause or overturn the law totally. Overturning would be nice if it died a quiet death but unfortunately it's more a "moral crusade" championed as much by Democrats as Republicans. Sen. Kamala Harris and Sen. Richard Blumenthal, both D's, are the chief authors and proponents. I'm surprised also that offshore sites like RentMan haven't been charged. My suspicion is that the government knows the law is unconstitutional from being retroactive and so doesn't want to use it. But it's just being there has transformed Google, Apple, Masseurfinder, Tumbler, Facebook etc into being very strict censors. It has the potential, if upheld, to get not just escort talk off the internet but porn.1 point -
Indiscrete question about how many boys you have had a day?
AdamSmith reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
It seems that (per usual) non-Americans understand what’s going on in the USA more than most Americans. i would add to your post that “the idea of FOSTA-SESTA is to curtail porn as well as escorting online as much as possible because the thinking is the more porn, the more prostitution and the more sex trafficking.” The anti-porn, anti-sex work activists have successfully convinced U.S. politicians from both parties (the law passed overwhelmingly bipartisan!) and the influential parts of American society than porn and sex work are equivalent to human trafficking. Thinking people understand that this is sex panic, hyperbole and overreach, but we currently don’t live during a thinking, science-based, research-based body politic. We are living during a reactionary one. Studies have shown that legalized and regulated prostitution reduces harm to sex workers and clients, and lessens sex trafficking because it brings potential victims out of the shadows. Yet, here we are, anyway. As for why the law has not yet been used — it HAS been used already. It has been used to force websites and message boards to shut down. It has been used to seize banking assets of sex workers and webmasters / bloggers accused of “facilitating prostitution”.1 point -

Hot to me. Now I want to go back to Bangkok again! The food and the boys! I'm less keen on the tatted up look some of them have. Sometimes it works on some guys, but mostly not for me. I don't know why. I guess I find it a bit distracting. "what is that about?" I'm also not a size queen, so I've never really much paid attention to all the chatter about where the big dicks are. I'm more into faces and typically like the clean cut type. These guys fit that bill. If they know how to use it, whatever they've got is gonna be enough.1 point

I left thursday for brazil, i was supposed to leave out of orange cty airport but the flight kept getting delayed by 15 minutes 4 times so now instead of a 2 hour layover in DFW i had 1 hour possibly(as it turned out it ended up delayed by 4 hours! I called AA and they agreed to send me out of LAX and pay for the cab which was $121.00! And they had one seat left open in Business class and is a direct flight to Sao Paulo! So it all worked out. In SP Friday morning I was picked up by my namorado there and we drove to his condo as he insisted i stay at his place rather then the hotel, i think mot because of love but he thought he could keep a eye on me better! We ate lunch went to the ATM and at 5:00 i was to meet a Brazilian friend(he is as big a HO as me)at Lagoa. This changes depending on several factors but this weekend Lagoa was busy and fun both Friday and Saturday nights! There were over 50 guys working and had a decent mix for everyone, twinks, bodybuilder and everything in between! There was one absolutely stunning looking guy, he was black, one of maybe 5 black garotos there, who had a amazing body beautiful face and huge dick his only downside was that he was about 5'4" or 5'5"! More about him later. I saw a twink who had a cute face and toned body and a big dick! I should say that there is always a number of big dicks on display but as often happens the faces are not attractive(at least to me) and I like anyone, enjoys seeing a big dick it is not my preference as i am a top but i do take them if the guy has a good face. This guy had that, so we went to a room and he was amazing and a really nice person. After we came back down he sat with us on and off the entire evening. Then two guys came up to me that i know, one who is extremely toned with a 6 pac and one who is a body builder. Again body builders are not my type typically but both these guys i have known about a year and a half and have done 3 ways with them before. The extremely toned one had let his hair grow out on his body and head and the other one referred to him as Tarzan! LOL so we went up and had alot of fun as usual. About a hour later after i was sitting in the bar with my Brazilian friend, i spotted the handsome short black guy wandering through the crowd and asked him to sit down! We had a drink and talked for about a 1/2 hour and i asked him how was business and he said "not good" he had not done one programma! I asked him why not? I said "you are definitely the most handsome guy here! You have one of the best bodies here and you have one of the biggest dicks! I actually think it is due to how he presents himself, he appears very serious as he walks around and not the friendliest when the opposite is true! There were now 5 or 6 guys hanging around our table including the twink i had gone up with earlier so i said to him "do you want to go up to a room"? And he smiled that beautiful smile of his and said lets go! When we got into bed he said "i am activo" i said "so am i"! Lol but two toos can have a great time together! And we did! Day one-- to be con't1 point
