Some reviews from my July Bangkok trip
Cooler and 12 others reacted to AlexThompson for a topic
I spent two long weekends in Bangkok this month and has a blast, per usual. I have received so much guidance from you gents over the years, and wanted to share some of my own experiences... HOTELS Le Siam Hotel https://www.lesiamhotel.com/ I love this little hotel. Great location - next to Silom Complex and just five minutes from the main action. Amazing food on the street outside the hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms. No issues with guests. Amazing breakfast. My new favorite! The Tarntawan Hotel Surawong Bangkok I needed to book a hotel quick and saw a forum headline about this hotel. Ugh. I should have read further. The hotel is very old and dingy -- and now it is being completely renovated inside and out, with constant noise and construction materials. I pre-booked two nights but left after one and got my money back. Glitz Hotel I needed something quick after moving out of Tarntawan and booked Glitz sight unseen. It's more like a hostel. Pros: Close to the action, right next door to Tawan. Cheap. No drama bringing guests back. So close to Prime Massage. Cons: No elevator. Sparse rooms. I would stay here again if others were sold out. It's fun being in the thick of things. MASSAGE The Prime Massage Based on the glowing review of @DivineMadman, I cannot get enough of this place. I go every single day I am in Bangkok. To me, it's the perfect combination of quality, luxury, professionalism, and price. I consistently have excellent massages. Sabaidee Spa This was a low point on my trip. When I arrived, the manager offered a selection of services. He said the body-to-body would include elements from all of their massages. I chose a guy named "Deeno/Deego/Diego?". Pre-set prices and tips were expensive. I arrived in the dingy, terrible room and showered in the filthy shower. The guy got undressed, lightly massaged my for five minutes, before rubbing his D in my A. Not being dramatic, it felt like assault. I asked him to stop but he kept going. I ended the massage early and left. Expensive, shoddy looking, and bad massage. Will not return. i quickly erased the bad memory with a massage at Prime. ;-) Magic Touch by The Tree https://www.travelgayasia.com/venue/magic-touch-by-the-tree-bangkok/ Although just a five minute walk from Glitz, this is a delightful off the beaten path, bohemian vibe-type shop. I had a wonderful, sensual massage with Mr. Diew. You can add the shop on Line and choose your masseuse from the photos you request. A fantastic experience. Would definitely return. SAUNAS Babylon I don’t care what people say, I love this place. Such a throwback to a simpler, hedonistic time. Guys from all over the world, all ages and sizes, converge for fun. I had always heard about the legendary Foam Parties, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. This was definitely the CRAZIEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE IN MY LIFE. (And I have done crazy things.) The courtyard is filled with foam, and guys converge to dance and play in the suds, under the stars. It was WILD! I highly encourage doing this at least once, just to experience it for yourself. It was the pinnacle moment from my trip. Chakran This is an upscale sauna that gets rave reviews, however I was VERY intimidated. The place is 99 percent hot Thai guys, and you have to be completely naked the whole time. I felt like an intruder — definitely out of my element and invading their territory. The “orgy” on the rooftop and being able to shower outside with a view of the city was incredible, but I have definitely aged out of this experience. I would choose Babylon instead. The highlight was the bar that overlooks the "corral" of massage boys on their phones, waiting to be chosen. Probably the hottest guys I have seen in the city. SPA Dahra Beauty & Spa - Silom https://www.dahra-spa.com/spa-services/facial-treatments/ I had spent two weeks at the beach and my face was busted. Based on Trip Advisor reviews, I took the ten minute walk from the main action and discovered this very luxurious spa. Reasonably priced massages and facials that were discounted 20% for low season. I had a one hour facial that was excellent for $30USD that would have been $200 in the states. I will definitely return. Overall, it was another wonderful long weekend in the city. I love the lazy feeling of Sunday afternoons in Patong -- just grabbing a coffee or lunch and watching people recover from the night before. I can't wait to go back!13 points -
Sunday. Eye candy at Ipanema. Disappointing. Not so many hunks when I went (around 1 pm). Maybe better in the afternoon. Tide is high so beach is significantly reduced. Former Pointe massagist comes to appartment. Excellent massage with great fucking session. No need of going to club after such a session ! Bossa Nova instead in the mythic Boca das Garrafas (rue Duvivier). Little Bar and Bottles bar are two places in the same street where you can hear good Bossa Nova. Bottles bar was having Bossa Jazz. Great music. (No strippers lol).5 points

I agree...but always smile when you do so. A smile is often returned, but even if it's not, it is far more effective than a show of annoyance The loss of the 300bht will be a good price to pay for learning this lesson. And yes, a good supply of 20s and 100s is a must. Ask when you change money and use the 500s and 1000s in restaurants.... and 711s. I've never had any problems there, even if I'm only spending 30bht.3 points

Saturday in 117 Again. Many boys. I have appointment with M. Great looking guy, friendly, good sex. When I entered 117, I saw a newbie. Branquinho. Nice face and body. I was almost sorry to have made appointment with M. After session I went to Bar and had a look at Grindr. Very close to me (Grindr says 1m) is "cute tourist". I guess he is a boy. I start chatting with him and I understand he is not also in the same sauna (therefore certainly a boy) but in the same room (the smoking bar). After some discussion I join him and his friend. They are customers and "nice tourist" is the cute branquinho I saw enter ! It is fun to drink and to chat about boys, travel, sex ... At some point of time I advise him to go and have a look in the video room. After some time, I go to toilets. He soon joins me. He is horny from the boys with hard on he saw in the video room. He peeps on my cock pissing and he is more than happy to lower his pants and show me his cock. Nice and thick, with big balls and shaved crotch. Really suckable ! Great time in 117 with one unexpected meeting ...3 points

CURE FOR THE GAY MAN'S LONELY BLUES
flipao and one other reacted to BlkSuperman for a topic
A CURE for the gay man’s, “LONELY BLUES” Ever get gravely bored, sit back and think to yourself, “damn is this what life is about?” if so, then it’s probably your fault and things will never change until you change. What I mean is, most of us don’t put ourselves out there or in situations to meet new people and have new, exciting experiences. I’m know I’m extremely blessed to have a wonderful husband I can travel, dine, eat with and do countless of other things, but before I met my husband I was very active in a lot of gay clubs and activities. When I say gay clubs I don’t mean the clubs you go to at night to hear loud, obnoxious house music all night long. Those kinds of clubs bored the shit out of me. believe it or not, when I would go to those clubs, even though I was surrounded by lots of people, I felt very alone. The type of clubs im speaking of are gay sports clubs. In Miami we have a ton of these clubs. These clubs reach far beyond Miami though and you probably have them in your city or state and just never heard of them. Ive been a long time member of the Miami gay tennis and softball clubs. They also have gay bowling, volleyball, kickball, flag football and gay swim leagues. Before I met my husband these clubs helped fill a void that I desperately needed to be filled. Ive made lasting friendships and close bonds with many of the guys in these leagues. Before you stop reading because you feel as though youre not athletically inclined to participate in these sports, give me a second and I will tell you why you don’t have to be athletically inclined to participate in any of these leagues. First of all, each league has different divisions. Lets say for instance, you are not the strongest or fastest in the aforementioned sports. It doesn’t matter because they can put you in a division that you would perfectly fit in and is more your pace. The A division is usually for the gay guys who could probably play the sport professionally. The D division is for novices and are played at a much slower pace. If youre body wont allow you to participate because of a bum knee, back or any other ailment, then you can volunteer for one of these leagues. They are always looking for board members and people to volunteer at LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENTS. I always play the sports so ive never volunteered, but if you ask me the volunteers have the most fun because they get to meet everyone at these local, national and international tournaments. These tournaments are lots of fun because during the tournaments the governing board have sanctioned events at gay night clubs, a members home or at a park. There is food, drinks and a shit load of comradery. These teams are usually sponsored by many of the local gay bars and they have fundraisers at these bars to raise money for team uniforms and travels. The fundraisers are a blast also. These events have afforded me the opportunity to meet a lot of nice people and forge friendships that I never would have had I not joined these leagues. A lot of times were lonely because we chose to build walls instead of bridges. In my humble opinion, the gay softball league is probably one of the better leagues to join. They have the most amazing tournaments. If you don’t believe me just google gay softball league in Miami, California or atlanta then you will see just how widespread these leagues are. Also google HURRICANE SHOWDOWN. This is an AMAZING TOURNAMENT played up in ft lauderdale each year during thanksgiving weekend. If you don’t put yourself out there to meet new people and start new friendships then you only have yourself to blame. These leagues were organized by gays in order for us to meet people just like us. I decided to write this piece because my husbands shift has changed at work and now he leaves at 3 p.m. and works until about 11 p.m. this leaves me home alone for 8 hours until he returns. when Im home alone I do get the lonely blues, but I have solace in knowing my hubby will be home by 11:30. What about the gay guy who doesn’t have a husband coming home to them at night? These clubs cant guarantee you will find the man of your dreams, (although I know many guys who have actually met their husbands in one of these leagues), but trust me on this one guys, THESE CLUBS WILL HELP CURE THE GAY MANS LONELY BLUES. Especially, if you go into the league with an open mind and a calm, humble spirit. LIFE IS LIKE A PLATE OF FOOD. IN ORDER TO SPICE IT UP, YOU HAVE TO ADD THE INGREDIENTS TO SPICE IT UP!!!!!! P.S. I also bought a Playstation 4 to help kill time when the hubby is away!! Lots of fun! Be well, fellas!!!!!2 points -

Argentina and Rio de Janeiro July 2019
Sgoleon and one other reacted to Latbear4blk for a topic
I checked out from my airbnb this morning. Right now I am at my sister's home. I am exhausted, my flight back home leaves tomorrow night. Let me briefly report the few things I have to share since I left this log, last Thursday. That night, I had my second meeting with Fran. It was even better than the first one. This boy is amazing, my first Argentinean crush in a long time, as I have been absorbed by immigrants to Buenos Aires. I cannot recommend him enough, almost at the heights of Italo Andrade, both lovers I will not forget about. And that is a lot to say considering my bad memory and my slutty ways. On Friday, "Angel" came over to make up for our lost appointment Wednesday night. He stayed with me until Sunday. I have not had this much sex in a long time, and had to use some of my Viagra (I do my shopping here, it is much cheaper) to satisfy this boy. It was hot. He likes role playing, we played a lot with our age difference, acting up pervert grampa situations. However, my favorite one was the pimp scene. Knowing he is an escort really drives me crazy. On Saturday night we ran out of weed. I had almost no cash and did not want to pay again the fee for withdrawing from an ATM. "Angel" left to service one of his clients, and with the money he got we looked for weed in Grindr. This whole situation was smoking hot. Needless to say, I did not go to KM ZERO or anywhere else. Meeting him was great, it rejuvenated me and made me feel a way that I have not in many, many years. 48 hours of free sex and romance with a 25 years old hottie is something that has not happened to me in a long time. Unfortunately, my adventures are over. Actually, I am tired and ready to go back home. I need to recover strength to meeting my room mate in DC, he has been teasing me through WhatsApp. This entry is probably my last one in this thread, I need to get to work on my blog. Next trip? I have not yet made my mind. I have been very much tempted with Santo Domingo, but I think it is a better match for a bottom than it is for me. Right now the two strongest contenders are Colombia and Brazil. Perhaps Barcelona? Let's see.2 points -

Great trip to Mérida. Grindr produced a few visitors every day including a small orgy on Thursday night. The best sex though was with a gorgeous Mayan guy I literally bumped into at Plaza de Indepencia at 2pm on Friday. Tall, worked out and 20, a formidable kisser and a adequate bottom. Unexpected afternoon delight.2 points -

I went to the gay bar area last night and it was a bit drab and quiet. Not too many guys working that I liked and got a bit bored so I headed to Starbucks to get a drink. I met this really hot Nigerian lad around 20 years old and very handsome. We talked and he said he wasn't money boy and just liked sex. So, I gave him a try. We got a grab and on the way to my place he massaged me and then went down and gave me a great BJ. When we got to my place, he showered with me and we had great sex. He wanted to spend the night which I normally don't do but did. Again, this AM, we got up and had sex. Or, I woke up when he was starting to have sex. All in all, it was excellent. He asked for nothing and was a real gentleman (except he cuddled all night which I hate). But, I was happy I met him. BTW: Big things do come in small packages at times. He was about 5'7" and this dick was 9 inches.1 point

They may not represent the reason why most members travel to Bangkok but they're an intricate part of the local gay scene. They delight the largely Asian audiences from every show bar from Soi 4 to Patpong and even in Moonlight. This article explores their achievements in finding their place in LGBT communities and the discrimination that complicates their lives. From the Bangkok Post What is it like to be a transgender person in Thailand, a nation that seems to be friendly to the LGBTI population? Each person would probably reply differently depending on personal experiences they've had navigating their daily lives. But there remains a common theme of discrimination and prejudice -- found both at a personal and legal level -- that all of them face regardless of where or who they are in this society. This month, the movement for transgender legal recognition took a leap forward when a group of transgender women led by Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip, CEO of JKN Global Media, introduced their newly-founded Life Inspired For Transsexuals (Lift) Foundation to advocate for an inclusive society free of gender-based barriers and to support legal gender recognition of transgender people. Representatives of the group visited parliament last Thursday to push for a bill that would allow transgender people to change their title after they undergo sex reassignment surgery (SRS). Society is somewhat against the idea, with illogical reasoning to back their argument. Some fear criminals would take advantage of the law to change themselves and avoid paying for their crimes. They somehow fail to acknowledge that, if this were the case, it's way easier and more sensible to change one's name and get the surgery done to their face, not genitals. Others fear transgender women will take this opportunity to fool men into marrying them. A lot of the ideas are born from stigma, as well as the lack of understanding on the lengthy process of SRS, which takes both counselling with psychologists and medical professionals for hormone replacement therapy and surgery. It is certainly not something that can be achieved overnight, and unfortunately not by everyone due to financial and health limitations. These limitations also raised concerns that pushing for title change only after undergoing SRS can be problematic for many who can't afford it for various reasons. Does physical appearance trump how a person identifies themselves? Also, with no legal recognition or title change allowed, Thai transgender people continue to face problems in different areas from receiving healthcare to travelling abroad. Tout grabbed me after visiting Balcony for Kamakazi and dinner. Took me to Sweet Bananna Bar + one other (with a show). Nothing much but tips for performers in show. Went to another bar off Soi Tawan- Super A. One nice small boy I wanted very much to swallow his children. Also interesting massage place along Soi Tawan. Stopped by Fresh Boys on the way back to my hotel, BBB Inn. Some nice boys. Met Viet mamasan and tipped. Some boys cute. Also spottted Screw Boys downstairs so I stopped in for 1 drink (Red Bull). Plan to stop into Super A tomorrow again after I get my AmEx card to work...1 point

Monday. 117 is closed. I was thinking to go to Pointe but decided to meet A. who was going to Lion 's. Some more information on Lion s - cabins are free on monday, wednesday and friday - when cabins are free, all cabins are free (including the ones with shower which are not that many) except the suites with hydromassage. - Pointe 202 personnel moved partly to Lion's including "a baixinha" (the dwarf) who used to clean rooms in Pointe. At 6.30 pm, there are maybe 10 boys and same number of customers. Not very active then. Most boys are former Meio Mundo type ie black and skinny. Others are beefier (sometimes with some beer belly).1 point

One trick sometimes used in bars is for your change to come in a mix of notes and coins. But 2 or 3 10 baht coins will be tucked into a tight flap at the bottom of the folder. If you dont plan on leaving a tip, make sure you take all your change.1 point

I can't be absolutely sure that it was Toy Boys since it's been years ago, but I think it was that place that once gave me about 300 baht change from a 500-baht bill (drinks were cheaper then) all in 10-baht coins. The hope was that I'd leave most of the coins in the bill folder as tip. However, especially as they went over the top with the coins, I deliberately took my time picking each and every one up, inspected them for genuineness and with great ceremony put them in my coin purse. They didn't get a farthing. Now I make sure I have plenty of small change before I step into these bars. -- http://shamelessmacktwo.travel.blog1 point -

From the Bangkok Post The Transport Ministry is considering piloting a 15 baht flat-rate fare, which is estimated to require at least 700 million baht in subsidies per year, on three electric train routes, according to two service operators. The Tao Pun-Bang Yai section of the Purple Line and the Airport Rail Link are most likely to be picked for the pilot phase of the ministry's policy to cut the cost of travelling by electric train, said Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand governor Pakapong Sirikantaramas. "These two routes are operated by the government and do not have legally binding agreements with any private parties," he said. The government already subsidises the Purple Line at a cost of about 1 billion baht a year, according to Mr Pakapong. Another route that is seen as suitable for piloting a flat rate fare is the Red Line's Bang Sue-Rangsit section which is due to begin operating by 2021, according to Mr Suthep. The Airport Rail Link carries about 90,000 passengers per day while the Purple Line serves about 50,000 per day, according to the ministry, while the Red Line is expected to have between 70,000 and 100,000 passengers per day. https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1720575/transport-ministry-mulls-b15-flat-rate-on-three-train-routes1 point

Agree 100%. Never take a taxi from those parked outside a popular bar area or hotel. As Londoner said don't get in a taxi offering you a fixed price. Open the car door - state your destination and say ""meter". If he says meter no work or any other excuse smile and say "fuck off". If you were talking about taxis from soi 4, cross over Silom and try a taxi from the left hand corner there.1 point

t0oL1, you were ripped off at Super A. If I'm paying 300 baht for a drink, I expect more....err...salubrious surroundings. Those two mamasans are total pains in the arse. I had a short altercation with one of them when he tried to pocket my change. It was quite an effort to get it from him. If they refused to give you your change, then basically they stole the money from you. And they got away with it. It seems that tout also stole from you when he grabbed that 300 baht. And he got away with it. Word gets around amongst the boys and the bars. Soon they'll all be seeing you coming a mile. Maybe it's time for you to put your foot down.1 point

So much to comment on. First, NEVER talk to a tout! This may be why you paid 300 in Super A (that is the price if you go in a tuk tuk . He gets commission for bringing you.) Don't pay more than 150 at Super A. Ask price from doorman and barter if necessary (applies in every bar). Most bars are asking 350 per drink but some like Jupiter and Tawan charge 500. I stayed a few years ago at BBB. Very overpriced. Room clean enough but as stated earlier 'run down'. Cable TV terrible unless you like German or Thai channels or straight porno. Have a look at Malaysia Hotel --- not the gay paradise it was years ago but still very friendly now -- and inexpensive. Search this and other boards for advice and talk to other expats or visitors. Balcony was a good start to talk to people and free cabaret shows on Fridays and Saturdays. As an irrelevant comment --- when Super A was upstairs, I got my feet soaked because the down pipe on the urinal was not connected to anything!. Have fun.1 point

Super A - 300 Bt for a beer. Gave mamas an 500 bt bill. No change returned. BBB Inn ok but smaller room 950 has NO tv. Figure nothing on anyway I can understand so why change room to superior (1250). Guessing no premium movie channels.1 point

Lehrer’s songs and influence have survived his own indifference, and survived his place in the cultural cul de sac that was the anti-hippie, anti-folk music square left. If your parents went to a fancy college in the late 1950s, they probably played you “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park” when you were 7, and “New Math” when you were 11, and blushed trying to explain “I Got It from Agnes.” And if you have kids of your own now, you’re probably playing them the same songs on the radio as you drive them back from a soccer game or over to their grandparents’. “Wernher Von Braun,” implausibly, cracks them up every time. https://www.buzzfeed.com/bensmith/tom-lehrer1 point

Lehrer was praised by Dr. Demento as "the best musical satirist of the twentieth century." Other artists who cite Lehrer as an influence include "Weird Al" Yankovic, whose work generally addresses more popular and less technical or political subjects,[45] and educator and scientist H. Paul Shuch, who tours under the stage name Dr. SETI and calls himself "a cross between Carl Sagan and Tom Lehrer: He sings like Sagan and lectures like Lehrer."[46] Lehrer has commented that he doubts his songs had any real effect on those not already critical of the establishment: "I don't think this kind of thing has an impact on the unconverted, frankly. It's not even preaching to the converted; it's titillating the converted ... I'm fond of quoting Peter Cook, who talked about the satirical Berlin kabaretts of the 1930s, which did so much to stop the rise of Hitler and prevent the Second World War."[36] In 2003 he commented that his particular brand of political satire is more difficult in the modern world: "The real issues I don't think most people touch. The Clinton jokes are all about Monica Lewinsky and all that stuff and not about the important things, like the fact that he wouldn't ban land mines ... I'm not tempted to write a song about George W. Bush. I couldn't figure out what sort of song I would write. That's the problem: I don't want to satirize George Bush and his puppeteers, I want to vaporize them."[18]1 point
-
The copyist arrived at the last minute with the parts and passed them out to the band... And there was no title on it, and there was no lyrics. And so they ran through it, "What a pleasant little waltz".... And the engineer said, "'Poisoning Pigeons in the Park,' take one," and the piano player said, "What?" and literally fell off the stool."[25]1 point

RecordingsEdit Lehrer was encouraged by the success of his performances, so he paid $15 for some studio time in 1953 to record Songs by Tom Lehrer. The initial pressing was 400 copies. Radio stations would not air his songs because of his controversial subjects, so he sold the album on campus at Harvard for $3 (equivalent to $28.00 today), while "several stores near the Harvard campus sold it for $3.50, taking only a minimal markup as a kind of community service. Newsstands on campus sold it for the same price."[21] After one summer, he started to receive mail orders from all parts of the country, as far away as San Francisco, after the San Francisco Chronicle wrote an article on the record. Interest in his recordings spread by word of mouth. People played their records for friends, who then also wanted a copy.[22]Lehrer recalled, "Lacking exposure in the media, my songs spread slowly. Like herpes, rather than ebola."[23] The album included the macabre "I Hold Your Hand in Mine", the mildly risqué "Be Prepared", and "Lobachevsky" regarding plagiarizing mathematicians. It became a cult success by word of mouth, despite being self-published and without promotion. Lehrer embarked on a series of concert tours and recorded a second album in 1959. He released the second album in two versions: the songs were the same, but More of Tom Lehrer was a studio recording and An Evening Wasted with Tom Lehrer was recorded live in concert. In 2013, Lehrer recalled the studio session for "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park", which referred to the practice of controlling pigeons in Boston with strychnine-treated corn:[24]1 point
-
Tom Lehrer ...Lehrer's early work typically dealt with non-topical subject matter and was noted for its black humor in songs such as "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park". In the 1960s, he produced a number of songs that dealt with social and political issues of the day, particularly when he wrote for the U.S. version of the television show That Was the Week That Was. The popularity of these songs has endured their topical subjects and references. Lehrer quoted a friend's explanation: "Always predict the worst and you'll be hailed as a prophet."[1] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Lehrer1 point

I always say and will repeat here again : internet forgets nothing. Those problems may surface not only when somebody will be running for the office or will be person in position in business , academia, arts etc, it carries also potential of ruining of person's family life - imagine discovering what beloved father did when he was in university. On another hand we may discover in future That society will move on and things carrying certain stigma now may be irrelevant in not so even distant future, many not so long ago closeted gays are now proudly announcing ' this is my husband". The same may happen to people who are prostituting themselves to go through university. Quite possible that my father who always said ' prostitution is job like any other and at least job is not dusty ' may turn out to be visionary.1 point

Big (hot) surprise last night. I have been hooking up with “Y”, the Venezuelan hottie I met through Grindr. From now on I will call him “Angel”, later you will learn why. Angel and I were planning to go to KM ZERO last Saturday, “Día del Amigo” night. When the dinner with my friends was coming to an end, which was about 1:30 am, I texted him but Angel never responded back. I had been drinking different delicious Argentine Malbec brands, and was not in the mood to go by myself being tipsy and exhausted. Specially exhausted. The times when my metabolism was synched to Buenos Aires times have been long gone. I gave up with my plans and went back to my base to go to sleep at 2:00, when porteños are taking a shower to go out. That is why you will not have report on KM ZERO on a Saturday night, which is the best night as I am told. We still have the chance to go next Saturday, my last week end in Buenos Aires. Yesterday Sunday I woke up with hangover headache and a message from Angel apologizing for last night. Remember, the boy gets up every day at 4am to work the whole day baking in a restaurant’s kitchen. He just fell asleep and did not hear my incoming text alert. We quickly made a date for a few hours later. Sunday noon I was taking my mother, sister, and twin nephews to eat out. We ate in a regular restaurant with a playroom for the kids, and the whole bill was $AR 1,600. My dish was a bife de chorizo that by itself would take most of the bill in an American restaurant. After saying goodbye to my family I returned to my place to let Angel know I was free and available. He was waiting around, and quickly came up to the cave. He was wearing a new sexy underwear he bought for me. That morning when we talk the first time, he had sent me a few pictures. My weed was gone and we both love smoking, and specially stoned sex. Angel quickly got into his Grindr and started to look for a deal. It was my first time witnessing a local trying to get weed through social media. He was obviously very much used to it, and would go through the process at a speed that would leave me behind. Here is where I had the surprise. While scouting for weed in social media, he was also responding to messages. He would read some of them aloud, and I noticed that he was being called “Angel” in some occasions. The general tone of the messages was like he was a very active hyper sexual boy. When I asked him why he was called “Angel”, he told me that besides his restaurant job, he was also escorting some times. Poom, surprise. He was publishing an ad in skokka (a questionable website, I heard things about underage advertisers there) and in a site I had never heard of before: gaterosonline.com. I am not recommending this website. It looks very sketchy, even Angel was surprised that he was being advertised as a top, as he is fully versatile. Basically, he told me a client offered him to publish an ad in his website, he submitted the pictures, and this is what he got. Of course, I told him about my blog (I had avoided any mention before) and ask him for permission to share the information. I will eventually publish a review, because I can guarantee this beauty absolutely loves chubby older men. The weed finally arrived, a couple of hours after starting the quest for it. 3 grams of flowers, $AR 1,050. The flowers did not look, smell, or taste in any attractive way; however the trip was very strong. Excellent premium shit, probably grown inside someone’s closet; a strong tendency here amongst weed lovers, starting about five years ago. We got very stoned and had amazing sex. Knowing that I hooked up in social media with an escort, is giving me a boner right now, imagine when I was at kissing reach. Angel is a freak, there is an astonishing contrast between his formality in regular settings, and his lack of inhibitions in bed. We are really connecting in and out of bed and I am feeling brought back to my golden years. Meeting him is radically changing my future plans. Of course I am too much of a slut to get fully committed to him for the rest of my vacations, as he is insinuating I should, but indeed I am going to spend less money in local providers, less time on hunting in hook up apps, and more time with him. Today Monday is being a mix of good and bad news. Bad news: Kendro Leandro, my favorite local porn star, just cancelled our appointment for an interview today, and asked for rescheduling for later on. Good news: I just had lunch with my best local girl friend, a relationship that comes from back to the 80s, when I was experimenting with acting and scene direction. We went to the last old typical porteño restaurant left in Recoleta, the Rodi Bar. The food was excellent and generous, only $AR 1,600. Just Susana’s steak would have costed that in the USA. More good news. I got in touch, after 20 years, with a dear friend from the 90s. He was the only one back then who would keep up with my sex drive and hunting. We would go together everywhere In Buenos Aires and Manhattan. However, he was a guilty slut and decided to repent and get in a marriage. That is when we got apart. He is coming to hang out in a couple of hours, and is presenting a poetry book this Saturday, so I will probably attend the event. Talking about books, I got more good news. One of the things I love of coming to Buenos Aires is that I get in touch with ideas and readings not as easy to reach from my American circle. I must say that between American social studies obsession with meaningless data, and the European social studies obsession with over-meaningful cultural analysis, I prefer the latter. This morning I started to read a wonderful book I found amongst the new releases in a local bookstore. It is written by a French academic, Didier Eribon. The original French title was "Principes d'une pensée critique", I am reading a translation to Spanish and is very recommendable if you are interested on reflecting on identity construction with a post-foucault, post-baudrillard frame. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=didier+eribon&crid=22KAZWYR9JADP&sprefix=Didier+Eribo%2Caps%2C400&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_12 Last good news (well, it is just the early afternoon). I have an appointment with Angel this Wednesday. When we said goodbye yesterday night, he asked me, he commanded me that the next time I contacted him it should be through his escort ad, and that we would role play the characters during the whole night. Well, appointment made. I cannot wait. I am playing with the idea of organizing a threesome with Fran. It would be freaking hot. Tomorrow, I am going to Montevideo. I am taking a ferry at Buenos Aires’ port at 7:30am, arriving to Montevideo’s port at 9:45. During the day I will explore the local legal weed market (as a foreigner I cannot legally buy) and meet with Will Schokolade for an interview. Then I am boarding the ferry again at 7:30 pm, arriving back to Buenos Aires at 9:45pm. I love sailing, the ticket is only U$S 200, and the views of Buenos Aires and Montevideo under day and night light are beautiful. There is a cheaper option that takes longer. Instead of going straight to Montevideo, you go first to Colonia, a nearer town and port in Uruguay, and then take a bus the the neighbor capital. I prefer the trip port to port, Colonia deserves much more than being just a stop.1 point -

July 20th is Friends’ Day in Argentina. Día del Amigo is very important for the locals as the friendship institution is very strong in Argentina. All restaurants, bars, and businesses in general are offering special promotions to lure people to celebrate with their services/products. I am having diner tonight with my best friends. They are all middle class intellectuals and artists, and as good porteños quite snob. They were planning a sushi party, but I vetoed the idea. I asked for choripanes and empanadas and, of course, was rejected. We will have a Middle Eastern menu, with I prefer rather than Asian food. Yesterday I had my first “meh” sex experience since I arrived to Buenos Aires. I hired Luciano, and it was just a satisfactory service. It was not his fault, he is a recommendable provider, but he looks in person much more twinkish than in his ad pictures. He is not as athletic shaped as I thought he was. If you are into skinny twinks, you would have a great time with him. His fee was only $AR 1,800. This “meh” experience has made me think of changing my plans. Instead of trying one more new boy, I think I am going to start repeating those I already know are great matches for me. I will see again Carlos Aleman. During our last meeting he opened up and shared everything he is going through as a Venezuelan in the diaspora, trying to help his family fleeing from Caracas, trying to make a living alone in Buenos Aires as an immigrant. We chatted for 3 hours, he seems not to have anyone to share with the depth he did with me. After chatting, we had a ferocious session of smoking hot sex. This boy is another of my exceptional findings, side by side with Italo Andrade. Perhaps one pinch below Italo. He is still servicing a few regulars and has a European sugar daddy who visits Buenos Aires now and then, and had decided to retire from the business, pulling down all his ads and not taking any more calls from other clients. However, he called me last night and we may find a way to make him available for visitors who are willing to pay more than the local clients. He is an emotional mess right now, this is a developing story. I will see again Fran. This boy was excellent, and brings the plus on being an Argentinean iconic character, the hot “chonguito de barrio”. His accent and the way he speaks are an automatic turn on. And I was not expecting him to be such a passionate power bottom. Finally, I may try again Douglas, the Carioca I met last year. I have not yet contacted him, but I am almost sure I will. Definitively, I will focus more in my Grindr hook ups. It is working really good. I saw “Y” a second hot time, and I had another guy who was OK, although not good enough for a repeat. Last night I went to Km 0. It is the only gay bar/disco that is open everyday. They just opened another location in Palermo, that opens earlier and has a kitchen besides the bar, so you can eat there pizza and empanadas. I arrived at 1:15 and the show was already started. The main figures were two drag queens, backed by three male dancers. I did not see stripers, at least not during the time I was there. I strongly recommend any foreigners to stop by and try to enjoy the show. It is not the conventional lip singing drag show that you see in Brazil or in the USA, but has a strong local touch. Buenos Aires has a long story of high quality varieté and independent theater, and you can see this influence in the show. Not the high quality, but the show structure and production. Besides a few lip singing in a parodic tone, one of the drags actually sang. First parodying an archetypical female tango singer, and then a Mexican one. Both drag queen performed long sessions of stand up comedy mingling and picking on the audience, and led a game with audience participation. In between the two main stars performances, the dancers would perform artistic numbers. They were hot guys, but with all the mannerisms of trained dancers, which I do not find sexually attractive. IMG_3555.MOV IMG_3554.MOV The show ended at 2:30 with an homage to el Dia del Amigo. The entrance was $AR 200, including one drink. I ordered a whiscola, and it was generously served. During the show, the place was arranged like a cabaret, with tables and chairs in front of the stage. During the show people was coming in and the areas without tables started to get crowded. Once the show was over, the tables were removed and the audience area became a dancing floor. I was told this is a place popular amongst taxi boys and clients. I did see a couple of escorts I recognized from their ads, but none of them was in my shopping list. At 3 am people was still arriving and I was ready to go. I am not fit anymore for Buenos Aires night life times. I will try to go again some other day when they do have strippers, which are probably the best days to observe taxi boys and clients in action. No promises though.1 point
