muscle men at Lucky Boys? I've been there I think 4 times now, I saw a couple maybe (let it be three or four as margin of memory error), but that's out of, what, up to 50 boys? Yes they kinda have all types, but the vast majority is either twinky, or slim or swimmer or next door "normal" type. The one muscly guy that stood out on my last visit was indeed quite muscly and beefy, but still not in the same league as Tawan. So while I would also highly recommend Lucky Boys for the sheer number of boys (minus the lady boy / drag queen lipsynching), which produces a decent probability of liking a few of them, I would just want to manage expectations here for someone who has a penchant for Tawan-type muscle hunks. How this all compares to either of the new Dream Boys bars I cannot say, as I haven't been.3 points

Immigration police raided a men’s spa in Soi Suan Phlu
ggobkk and one other reacted to DivineMadman for a topic
Yes. I read that they nabbed one guy from Myanmar, two from Cambodia, eight from Vietnam, three from Laos and one stateless man. I believe that it's still business as usual at Prince. A couple of guys who in the past worked at VCK appear to have moved to Prince since the raid. A report I read said the raid followed a tip-off. Would love to know the back-story.2 points -
NYT Reviews Dominican Safety Issues
paborn and one other reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
One thing that many of these articles do not discuss is that all of these Americans stayed at Dominican resorts — which are absolutely nothing like real life in the Dominican Republic. It is quite possible to party yourself to death, which I do suspect happened in some of these well-publicized cases.2 points -
Good article but until proven otherwise I see no increase in the number of deaths. Why the decision has been made for the press to harp on this is beyond me. I'm old and my lifestyle might be the key to my feelings of safety. I have a cocktail or two an evening and wine with dinner. I don't go to party myself to near oblivion.2 points

The poster went off on a long, intransigent narrative criticising the definition of the word "visa." - His writings were tantamount to a town crier with his one-way interpretation of the simple word - visa. Thus, I referred to him as a muezzin-like town crier. Anyone, except for that poster, would know that I was not bringing religion into the discussion. However, the poster responded to my muezzin comment by saying my response was "approaching Godwin's Law" which we all know has to do with Hitler. His comment was absurd and is commensurate of someone deeply disturbed or misguided. I have never read any thread or post on this forum that compared a forum users post with Hitler or even approaching anything to do with Hitler. The poster, as was noted previously by an earlier poster, appeared to be off his meds, so to speak. There was and is no need to compare a dispute over the definition of a visa - with Hitler. My, oh, my!1 point -
while this may or may not be truth, all reports on fora should be take with grain of salt, specially if we really don't know person forming an opinion ( for example I'm not demanding when comes to food I may be praising , somebody other , more demanding , will consider barely edible ). It's best to follow your guts , go and see for yourself. Not heading such advice as mine above kept me from ever putting my food in Tawan for my first 8 or 9 trips, only when I finally came to sense I realized what I was missing1 point

DICK-stractions in Santo Domingo

Thanks for this, guys. How about Casa Sanchez? That looks pretty sweet. Also, I stayed 10 years ago at the Roma Apartments. It wasn't bad. That was back in the day when JayDee's nightclub was still around. Had a number of wonderful evening drinking and dancing and canoodling at that spot.1 point -
Others might disagree, but I would not worry about a guide on a short, two-night stay unless your odds of returning to Bangkok are almost nil. You are going to have to rest at least a few hours (I hope!!!).1 point

That’s a lot of crap. US carriers are the most profitable and there plenty of competition. The seat pitch on Jet Blue is among the most generous in economy anywhere and you can carry on two bags free. If you’re headed for Asia, don’t think you can beat the major Asian carriers on price and schedule. And for service, ANA and Singapore stand out among the crowd. For convenience of connections from the US east or west coasts, Cathay Pacific offers the best en-route times to Bangkok.1 point

I have a problem with total free competition. When it comes to airlines it appears to end up as a race to the bottom. I didn't experience BA when it was a state owned carrier. When it was first privatised it was extremely good. Now it is a near disaster - and a costly one at that. Economy class is close to a joke and business class is definitely a joke. What other airline has 8 across seating in business class and forces its business class customers to pay a huge amount to select their seats advance? Want a seat on the upper deck of an A380? Fine. Be prepared to add £105 per sector on to the cost of your ticket. And beware! That extra charge is going up soon. Cathay Pacific used to have an enviable reputation. it is still a fine airline but its standards have dropped considerably especially in F&B. Putting 10 across economy seating on long haul 777s is sardine time. Try that on a 17 hour flight from New York to Hong Kong! Another area is seat pitch. On long haul economy 747 flights sitting at a window seat I can recall when it was relatively easy to pass the other two passengers without disturbing them. Now that is absolutely impossible even if you are a small child. As for airlines in the USA, well most scrape the bottom of the barrel in almost every respects. Thats what happens with outright competition. I realise the Gulf carriers are subsidised and certainly Emirates and Qatar (havent tried Etihad yet) have a business class that is almost unbeatable. If those subsidies were taken away, i have no doubt that all that the hard and soft products on all three airlines would plummet. The fact is there can never be real competition. Vietnam Airlines has a good reputation for its business class. But its costs for pilots, cabin and maintenance crew will be very substantially lower than SQ and CX. So what can those airlines in much higher wage countries do?1 point

I suggest you use the search field here for a little but dated info. Espaço 165 is also near it and looks nicer. However, they are both quite a distance north not far from Galeão airport. You would likely be in proximity to favela areas. For the savvy and adventurous, perhaps?1 point -

Joe Biden Exposed

Bernie Sanders all the way 2020, he has kept the same consistent message for 40 years. Biden's a liar and conman that helped the credit card industry keep their tax haven status in Delaware, wrote the bankruptcy laws to make it impossible to get rid of student loans, and he helped keep schools segregated by ensuring school busing wasn't an option,1 point -

Because Williewillies nice report I visited the bar for the first time after the renovation. A huge improvement and the bar now looks great! About 12 gogo-boys, 4-5 in A-bomb shirts and the rest shirtless. Better rotation on stage now. In the old bar it was awfully slow. They are still as before, extremely over-staffed with waiters, doormen, papasans or whatever, in comparison to the amount of customers. Show started 23:50 and ended 00:28. A lot of nude boys. Thankfully no ladyboys singing or showing off their big dresses, there is enough of that in every other bar. After the show some of the boys went out and were obviously not available and only participated in the show. The others, up on stage for rotation. Sure the boys here are bigger than the average Pattaya barboy, but none of them really exceptional in my humble opinion so I did not find anyone I think was worth buying a 300 baht boydrink for. Off fee I was told is now 500 baht. In the old bar the boy would expect 1500 tip for short time. I don't know if that is still the case. Too expensive for my taste. I can find what I'm looking for cheaper. But will probably visit a few times a year to see the show and to see what's on offer.1 point

United States citizens will need a visa to visit Europe starting in 2021.
floridarob reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
As I mentioned above, some posters here are arguing over a distinction without a difference. The main difference between the ESTA and a visa is that an ESTA can be obtained electronically through an online form, while the tourist visa must be obtained at or through an embassy or consulate. The travel rights of entry and restrictions are the same for both.1 point -

My, oh, my! You have so few posts in this forum and already you are establishing yourself as an arrogant know-it-all muezzin like troll. A troll with tunnel vision. You asked - "Why frighten people?" Are you wacko? Who would be frightened over a visa? The best I can do for you today is to give you an enlarged definition of someone, like you, who is suffering from severe tunnel vision. "What does it mean when someone says they have tunnel vision? In slang, if someone says that someone has “tunnel vision” they mean that the person is looking at things from a very narrow perspective, and is not seeing or is aware of all the facts."1 point

United States citizens will need a visa to visit Europe starting in 2021.
paborn reacted to tassojunior for a topic
What's much scarier is that the visa-waiver program is reciprocal and because the US refuses to extend it to Poland, Bulgaria, and Romania of the EU, the EU has put the US on notice it will end it if those countries aren't included. Elimination of the visa-waiver program is what I thought when I saw these headlines today. An EU "Notice That I'm Coming" like our ESTA is harmless. When you deal with a lot of visiting friends who are from visa-waiver countries, you appreciate how difficult it is for non-visa-waiver countries' citizens to get visas to the US. People from Visa-waiver countries come in immediately 99.9% of the time. People from other countries must apply months ahead and 90% at least are rejected. The semantics of "Visa" vs "Visa-Waiver" are scary for good reason to a lot of people.0 points
