Some background info – 35 year old mixed Caucasian/Asian, last trip to Thailand (Bangkok) was in 2016, was invited to a wedding in Phuket so I thought I would visit a few other places at the same time. Also walked the whole way in thongs (flip-flops for the americanos), which probably weren’t the best walking shoes. Didn’t meet up with any guys that day, and was too tired to go out so I ordered room service again, and it was a pizza, which turned out to be huge so I said to myself ‘I’ll just eat half of it now, and have the rest tomorrow’ but then I ended up eating the whole thing. My last day consisted of going to Koh Larn. Got on the ferry which didn’t take too long, walked to Ta Yai beach and had lunch at an overpriced restaurant. It was a nice little beach, not too crowded. I got bored so I walked back to the ferry and caught it back to Pattaya and went back to my hotel for a little while. After that I ended up walking to Royal House (was going to go to Helios but changed my mind at the last second, and I’m glad I did). You know when you go to these places and are presented with a selection of guys and sometimes it takes a while to choose? Well here, I knew exactly the guy I wanted as soon as I saw him. 25 year old guy from Isan, a little shorter than me, with a smaller frame, but toned. He was lovely. Let’s call him ‘James’. So many tourists, can be quite busy (although we didn’t stay in Patong), and most things were expensive. Anyway, explored a little bit, hung out, ate a bit too much, relaxed a lot, and went to the wedding which was beautiful. On my last day there I ventured out by myself and went to Patong. Ended up going to 4 massage (on the way was accosted by guys from Linley massage, who looked pretty decent so that’s a place I can explore if I come back), decided to splurge and got a 4-handed massage. My first time visiting is actually recorded as a trip report here, at it was in November 2016. The resort is on a series of hills and so we opted for the golf cart to bring us to the restaurant. We ate and talked for more than tour hours and then back by golf cart to Ya's waiting taxi. He hires one as he needs it on an on-call basis for half a day at a time. He then showed me the properties he is managing and I was reintroduced to some of his friends. I agree...I think there is more life and excitement in the clubs now than in the last year of Twilight...the overhanging sense of doom has dissipated.

I am early 70,s and live with my long term partner in Isaan. We own our house and car, so no rent or car hire. My, non too fancy health insurance has just increased to 85,000 baht/year (no out patient cover, I pay the first 40,000 baht of any claim and 25% of the bill after this) I find that I need 80,000 on average a month to fund a comfortable but not extravagent life style with one major holiday and several shorter holidays a year for me and hubby. I prefer hubby not to work as I like him around too much

Thats one reason why the lobby looks very like the lobby in the Hong Kong flagship. I knew there was a security guard at the lift lobby and se we waited until he was otherwise engaged before sneaking in to one. I had forgotten about security cameras. About 3 minutes after we arrived at the room, the phone rang. I did not answer. It rang about 4 more times, and than thankfully ceased. But then came the knock on the door. I quickly realised this was security. I told my guest to be silent and did not respond. The knocking continued for about 5 minutes, after which we were finally left in peace. But I was furious! I checked the hotel regulations. Nothing there about not taking guests to the room. So I wrote an angry letter to the GM. He responded with a major apology and the offer of a free week-end. I made sure to book for two people!

Tony Leather which for many years could be found just to the right of Twilight was included in the shut down. New location is almost directly across from Hilton Tailor - the place ant will make suits and also does laundry.. tony has made shoes, belts, and two”leather jackets for me over the years. Because they are gay guys. That is what the clubs are for. Ladyboys are men. They are gay. They want to be there. And, yes they get offed from time to time. I know as I have offed a lot of them. Sometimes for sex but mostly for fun times drinking and taking care of things. They are as much a part of the gay bar scene as you and I and they make the boys feel comfortable and they help some customers. Do I like the aggressive ones? Hell no. But, I don't like the aggressive guys either (unless they are very aggressive and then I like that).

I've posted reports on Berlin as have others. If you can't find them in Search, go through the list of threads under Europe. There are 4 or 5 busy rent bars along the same street within a block or two. Tabasco and Pinocchio have been there forever. Blue Boy is a block down and between is BoyToy (or ToyBoy?). All of these are extremely busy and usually crowded. Tabasco is packed. But they are 99% Romanian pick pockets and con artists. Sadly, historic Tabasco is the most dangerous. There is another one a half-block behind Tabasco the other direction that is nice and safe but few guys. BoyToy may have a "room", I'm not sure. I think rather there's a sex hotel above it. Berlin is very active online with hot German guys. In Germany the base price is usually just E70 and 100 is good. Half of Prague or Zurich or other places. There are also "sex hotels" in the area with hourly rates for a clean room. Berlin has the uber-trendy Labatory gay bar where anything goes. It's next to the uber-chic Berghain nightclub. In Germany it's normal to have nude nights, piss nights, etc etc at many many gay bars very often. Some are always nude. Some bars give out condoms, lube and rubber gloves at the door on entry. Never expect the ordinary in Germany. But in the rent bars, especially Tabasco, hide your wallet and phone carefully and put most money in your sock under your foot.
