It rarely gets mentioned but I find the Amara hotel (on Surawong immediately before Red Planet) an excellent choice for quality and value. Wonderfully comfortable bed, modern decor and a short walk to Patpong area. There's a rooftop infinity pool and adequate gym. The buffet breakfast is served in large dining room. Hotel website and Expedia offer good range of prices. Guests are no problem. Club level rooms available and worth the splurge. The lounge is on the 20th floor and has an outdoor terrace.

Jasper I’ll disagree with your friend about Lucky Boys. I was there Thursday night. Full house. About 50 boys and I thought an amazing collection of young men. It is not Dreamboys so shouldn’t be compared that way. But it’s not all Screwboys twinks either. Good mix of guys. My opinion.

  13. Landed in CDMX a couple of hours ago. Uber is not allowed in the airport. Instead, I hired one of the taxi cab companies with official booths in the airport lobby. The driver was great, and the fe only 235 Mexican Pesos, about 13 bucks. I am staying in the Room Mate Valentina, in Amberes street, right at the heart of the Zona Rosa. The hotel is part of a Spanish chain, no luxury but modern, clean, functional and spacious. My taxi turn into Amberes St at about 2PM. Three guys, one of them quite hot, were ostensibly cruising in the corner. According to the driver, they were street hustlers, taxi boys. All the bars along the street seem to be open and playing loud, very loud music. Again, at 2 PM! Just a minute ago I went around the corner to buy bottled water. The neighborhood looks really fantastic for fun, all restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Traffic is scarring, just as bad as in Buenos Aires. There is no much difference between riding a taxi cab and a cart in a rollercoaster. I am exhausted, my first flight left DC at 6 AM. I am about to take a nap, then a shower, and then go to explore the scene around the hotel. We planned this trip originally with two other friend from Daddy's forums. One of them dropped out in the last minute. The other one is arriving tomorrow, as he is right now in Palm Springs. Going to take a nap now.

  14. I and a few others have previously reported on Ganymede. It should be searchable here. It's a nice friendly place. Small selection of guys. shared bathroom/shower down the hall. massage tables. VCK obvs is much larger. General positive in my view. You can book ahead at both places using their daily Line blast, or just show up and pick 20-30+ guys on the "stage" at VCK, or the 4-8 guys who emerge from behind the curtain at Ganymede and stand 3 feet away from you. Personally, 9 times out of 10 nowadays I book ahead based on photos. I am comfortable doing that. Not everyone is. I know a lot of people like the "is he smiling at me?" test - which only works for live selection, so the sheer numbers of guys at VCK works in your favor. Whatever works for you. The guys at the massage shops know that some people are looking for the smile. Without a doubt one of the best massage experiences I have ever had was with a guy who was not looking/smiling at me. Go figure. For one hour oil it looks the minimum tip at VCK is 1,500 and at Prince it's 1,000. 1,000-1,200 is pretty much normal, for Bangkok, for higher-end full-service shops for the tourist crowd.) I think I saw Sabaidee Spa recently raised their minimum tips. They might be the same as VCK now. VCK has some real superstars. My current approach is very much to book the massage with a particular guy. Sometimes they are guys I've had before and liked. Other times they are just particular guys I am obsessed with. As a result, if there's a guy at VCK I want to have, I am willing to pay the extra. That extra 500 baht is more than I spend on food for a day (often for two days), but I'm not booking massages every day. So I'm not upset that I could get a massage /sex for a bit less someplace else. I'm booking this particular guy. I used to be big fan of Prince, nowadays less so. One major issue for me at Prince is there may be 30 guys there, but only 3 gay/bottoms or "do everything" guys. Once I went there and there were NONE. VCK has a lot more gay "do everything" guys, including many of their stars. I also think the management at VCK is better than the non-management at Prince. But none of it matters. It all depends on the particular masseur and how he works with you, wherever he may be. For me the experiences end up being very personal, so if I'm happy with the experience overall -- as I am 85% of the time - then that's good enough for me. I don't torture myself with "oh, but I could have had that experience across town for 500 baht less", because I couldn't. My experience is with the particular masseur at that shop.

  16. The only time I found sauna Termas without a lot of hustlers was when it rained. The sauna is fairly large with three levels. One level might not have many hustlers while another level might have. You have to walk around the sauna to determine where the hustlers are. Some are found on the cruising level (dark floor with very little light). Some are on that same floor in rooms with the door open talking with other hustlers while just spending time hoping for a client. If you walk around that level, often a hustler will see you and come out to chat and see if he can score some business. Sometimes it is possible to engage a hustler while in the locker area/changing area. The hustlers and the clients' locker area are together unlike the set up in Brazil. The "bar or snack" area is another place you might engage a hustler. That is the same level as the jacuzzi is located. If there is no rain, you can be fairly confident there will be guys available. Even if it rains, there will be some hustlers but not as many as on dry days.

  18. I always thought Brazilians were the Kings of Party. Hell I was wrong. The whole Zona Rosa was a big street party last night. Quite mixed, but overwhelmingly gay and lesbian. The problem is I do not find the guy much attractive, just a minority. When I go to Brazil, I am turning around continuously, flabbergasted at how hot the guys are. Not here. Now and then I see someone hot to me, but not very often. My Grindr has been dr iving me crazy, with guys I am not interested in. If you are into twinks, you will have lots of fun, for free. Unfortunately, I am not. The guys I am checking and finding attractive are all Colombian and Venezuelan. Last night I ended meeting a beautiful tall Mulato Venezuelan living in Colombia and bringing him to my hotel. He is not a professional so I am not going to talk much about him. The boy was beautiful, but is returning to Bogota tomorrow, so I don't think I will see him again. I do want to meet some escorts to have new reviews for my blog. I have been exploring Rent Men, here you can see the prices and the array is just ridiculous. Some guys are asking for 400 U$S, and other for 700 Pesos Mexicanos. One pro contacted me through Scruff (which has been active but not s much as Grindr), saying first that the was only top. When I told him I was not interested, he also offered bottoming. His fee was 1200 Pesos Mexicanos, and I told him I would call him if I did not get anything for free later. I did get the Venezuelan hottie, so I did not call this Middle Eastern beauty. He is on my list. Right now I am having breakfast in a coffee shop by my hotel corner. Grindr has been machine gunning me since 7am. Only one interesting boy I am chatting with tight now, and one escort from Costa Rica who looks hot, quoted 1900 Pesos Mexicanos for full service, and disappeared after I sent him a picture os my dick, per his request. These are some of the pics he sent me: Prices are very low. Yesterday we had diner with the Venezuelan boy at a fancy pizza place. A premium pizza, 2 sodas, and a mousse of chocolate, 500 Pesos Mexicanos. My breakfast right now, only $M 117. As an Argentinean, I love pastries and all things bakery. The coffee was (is, I am still there) delicious, it makes you realize how bad the coffee we drink in the USA or in Buenos Aires is. However, the pastries were a disappointment. I tried the "bolitas de queso" because I was curious whether they follow the Paraguayan or the Brazilian recipe. Brazil wins, but these ones were not good, they were gummy like when they are warmed in a microwave, even when I saw them using a convection oven to reheat them. The other pastry is a pan au chocolate. That one was better, but not as good as the ones I can find at good bakeries in the USA. While I am writing this post, I am chatting in Grindr with a 20 y.o. boy, one of the few Mexicans I do find hot, who is telling me he wants me to be the first one who fucks him. Of course I believe him. We may be meeting in a couple of hours. Going back to tonight, the crowds were intimidating in all the bars, that was one of the reasons I took the Venezuelan from Grindr instead of going out and hunting in the bars. But this afternoon the friend from Daddy's is joining me. Having a partner will make me much braver to attack the clubs. Tomorrow Randy (Randisan in my reviews) will be here in his way to Cancun. He has left Buenos Aires and is now based in Lima, but he is a free spirit and will probably continue traveling. I am quite sure I will meet him to remember our hot encounter. You can check him in my Reviews.

I think the local Spanish boys don't need to make 50€ per fuck income in saunas. If they want to sell, they can probably get more from online venues, or they can probably get a few sponsors/sugar daddies if they know how to network, and of course the price are much higher than sauna rates.

  39. I had nearly 3 weeks in Pattaya returning home 10 days ago. I split the trip with the majority spent at the Zing plus a few nights at the Ambience in BT. The former is very gay friendly having some str guests who don’t mind the activities of gay guests (including myself) and their Asian boyfriends around the very pleasant pool area. Of course the Ambience is a long established gay hotel. I was very happy with both. The beach at Jomtien is far superior to the Pattaya one. The former has a so called gay section with Dongtan but this is now far more “mixed” than in past years, but the sea, sand and air is very pleasant either with your boyfriend du jour or maybe alone perhaps chatting with other visitors, or having a drink or food. Transport Jomtien > Pattaya is very easy by baht bus (10 - 20 mins to BT), motor cycle taxi and even walking if you want excercise. when returning from BT or Sunee with a boy I used motor cycle taxis 3 up including taxi guy. Not recommended if you are nervous but the boys are used to it. As mentioned already there are twinks in the Jomtien bars. They tend to interact with customers more as the evening progresses, but don’t delay inviting a boy to join you if you are attracted to him, as another customer may off him first. They seldom refuse the offer of a drink. Boys from Planet Romeo based in Pattaya May sometimes be reluctant to join you in Jomtien.

    Songkran

Many will tell you that Songkran is a time to avoid in tourist areas. My boyfriend's experience in the northern countryside is very different....washing Buddha images, visiting grandparents and parents to pay respect with a sprinkling of water. My experience, a week before Songkran when I was in Pattaya, was receiving a bucket- full of icy water in the face while travelling at 30+ mph on the Jomtien road. Accordingly, Songkran joins New Year as the only times of the year when I'm happy not to be in Thailand!

So its the very best 2 take a look during the show when they're shirtless...and remember their number, lol...the models are usually shirtless the entire time, from what I've seen there and twinks always wear shirt unless they change clothes for their dance. Mamasans usually sits beside the customer, then show pics of the boys in their smartphone and even recommends a boy, some are nude/naked in the pics while others are in revealing/sexy attire. But I prefer to choose when the boys walk on stage or parade near the audience...though some may catch your attention while they're seating with another customer...just like what happened to me with Nicky when I saw him so I ask the mamasan for the name of Nicky and if I can buy him drink, the mamasan talk to Nicky, and Nicky walk towards me and seat beside me, and the rest is one of the most memorable event in my life...

  43. Now-since some 4 yrs, choose from tablet, many guys will be sitting outside, you can talk with them. Pictures say nothing. Ask to see all guys on the tablet, you do not have to ask for a specific one advance, unless you specific want him. Many guys are there for 4-5 yrs. They take cr-cds, some % extra if also tip is done that way. For a while they had a few VNese, but they threw them out due to too many complaints from steady customers, the Khmer and Burmese can stay. JEY (thats the owner, he worked there as msg-guy till some 5-6 yrs ago) has thus again taken up training the new ones and thats good, can also give very good info, but no angkrit. Have several real populair boys who are always taken. Some rooms have shower ''inside'' but not in hallway. In fact I always stayed mute about this place, its better for long-term stayers. Repeat treatments tend to get much better. Its at the very end of that soi (beside a TOPs supermarket, quiet street, some up-market condo's and many JPNese places, they will always offer motosy for free to bring you back to main rd or BTS

    Guys on layaway....

I have no accumulated stuff. When I made the permanent move to Thailand, I sold, gave away or threw away everything I owned, bar the contents of 1 suitcase, which was all I took with me. It was liberating. As far as gifts go, have you and Christian never heard the expression "it's the thought that counts"?. Sometimes it requires greater graciousness and generosity of spirit to receive than it does to give. Perhaps if you were to reflect on the thoughtfulness, care and wish to do something nice for you that has gone into a gift, rather than how much use it is to you, you might feel better about receiving it? That goes double if it is one of your friends (paid or otherwise) in Thailand. You are probably dealing with people who are, financially, much worse off than you. The cost of a plate of rice and curry is a lot of money to someone who has to live on plates of rice and curry. Then the gift to you actually serves two purposes. The first, as before, is to do something nice for you. The second is to make the boy feel better about himself as not being totally dependent on you and not being in a relationship that is just about your money. Be gracious. Be grateful - the rewards will not be material, but they will be far beyond the material value of a few baht's worth of food.

That’s my philosophy too. I visually admire them for their hard earned physiques and slickness of routines (even the non-dancers have obviously put in weeks of practice). They can also be engaging for a drink and chat, at the end of the day they’re nice lads. But I’m not interested in a cold bed companion who’s only up for it when they need rent money and “you come I go”. One complaint I heard of Tam when he was still taking offs is that he refused to even get into the bed! His idea of an off was a standing j.o session while watching straight porn and depart. Moonlight mamasans are not fond of him as he’s alienated customers and cost them their tip. Same for his good friend Mr York who will take offs but is very cold, and honestly couldn’t care less because he has a rich female sponsor. The regular boys of course want to make their tips, but at least put up a good effort at boyfriend experience, pleasing the customer, hoping to catch your eye as you survey the room despite no-smile general rule like Jupiter. Good news for Lucky admirers is that mamasan confirms he is the model exception and is a good performer, happy to take offs and repeat bookings. Ditto Nicky which we know already.

    Moonlight Gogo Bangkok

Thank you. These observations more or less mirror mine from the Grand Opening night. It was my first time in Moonlight but I have been following this thread since last year so I believe I'm fairly updated even without being a regular. I will just add some comments to above and add my own observations. Indeed, the Mr Babe is a great dancer and a good performer. Such a joy to watch him dancing/performing om stage. He had some issues with the towel during the towel show (2 other models were also in the show but I forgot who) but I believe he managed to keep everything covered - but a great and enticing towel performance. In my view he is only superseded by Mr Sunny in dancing. Sunny did a fantastic solo show to Ricky Martin's "She Bangs" - clearly he is the best dancer of the models. My farang friend found Sunny to be the overall most attractive guy on stage - I don't share that view but Sunny is certainly a very skilled dancer and top performer on stage. To me, Mr Nakki was the star of the night. A very tall guy with an amazing body. There was something about his smile, attitude and confidence on stage that caught me. I don't know how to express it but on stage he appeared "to own everything"; appearing with such grace/confidence and very well aware of his body and looks; the true star of the night. But I share the view that his stage performance was nothing to report about. Together with Mr Rome, he appeared as an Egyptian God (sorry, but I might have got that wrong, but indeed they wore big togs) - a loud cheer of admiration came from the audience when Nakki appeared on stage during this part of the show - and they wore briefs during the subsequent owners' speech and toast (I failed to understand who the 3 persons invited to get on stage were; obviously, they were speaking in thai). Mr Rome on the other hand was far from being spectacular. Tall and handsome face (at least to some I believe) but body wise he was nothing to report about. Another guy who in my view was not on par when performing on stage was Nicky. Sorry to tell you, but with hardly any face expression on stage and red eyes that revealed that either he was high or had a hangover, he should have stayed home! - he only appeared 1 time as a "bunny guy" in the early part of the show as I recall it, but clearly he didn't feel comfortable performing on stage. I don't understand all the rave about him in this forum; sorry. Also the guy in the shower show wouldn't have worked for me - his body is far too big in my opinion (but admittedly had what appeared to be a nice hard rock in the almost transparent wet briefs) - sorry, but I don't know his name but I believe he is one of the guys that joined Moonlight recently. The shows were indeed very well choreographed and must have involved a lot of rehearsals for the guys. The Moonlight models did very well; I didn't notice any major mistakes. By far the best show of this kind I have ever seen; I'm sorry, but the Jupiter 2018 show fades when making the comparison. I share the somewhat negative comments about the long waiting time before the show actually started. The non-model guys appeared on stage fully dressed (white T-shirt and shorts with their tag numbers on) in what was certainly not a well rehearsed audition (some of the guys were clearly bored) and didn't know how to move on stage - only the enthusiastic number 29 (he also appeared in the later "big cock" show) was entertaining to watch. It was followed by a rather dull performance (singing) by the overweight thai girl who had clearly also been assigned the task to translate into English what was said/explained in Thai on stage (but struggled to do so). However, the major annoyance for me was the way too loud music/sound effects during the show - I regret I didn't wear earplugs. It was far too loud and the following day it was still "ringing" in my ears - the venue should do something about this! And finally, to the speculative comments above about who offed Mr Babe after the show, I'm able to reveal that a farang apparently took him to a dance venue. My farang friend believe he heard that Dj Station was mentioned during the negotiations between the farang customer and the older captain (the one with a face that could easily have earned him a cast in a US gangster movie). We were waiting outside after the show had finished closely to midnight due to heavy rain and from a distance noticed the talks between the farang and the captain clearly speaking on behalf of Mr Babe standing next to him, but unable to hear anything in details. But it appeared to me that the farang wanted more than just taking Mr Babe dancing/drinking and the captain mentioned the name of Nicky a few times, which I interpreted as Mr Babe not being available for fun in the room of the customer but Nicky being the choice if the customer wanted this. But at the end, Babe took off with the farang. Final comment and totally off topic, but Mr Babe is a really short guy...when appearing in full clothes I'm not sure I still have the desire to off him.

  48. I must recommend a short course in Mindfulness to Abidismali. Worrying about what may or may not happen after our deaths and what mysterious secrets may or may not be revealed about our lives seems to me to be a little unbalanced. Mindfulness teaches us to live the moment and avoid "catastrophisation", of which Abidsmali's fears are a superb example.

  50. Here's what I do (and if I say something obvious I'm not trying to be condescending, just trying to be complete): Door-to-Door. As you note, yes, pay airfare. Personally I wouldn't worry about the taxi or anything more "door-to-door". [bTW - I would never give the money to the lucky guy to buy the ticket. I buy the ticket for my companion so it can't be turned in for cash. You do have to be careful that he doesn't need to present the credit card at check-in if you're not going to be with him. I think Air Asia easily accommodates buying a ticket for a third party at the time of purchase. Otherwise a travel agent can easily arrange it.] Off-fee. Yes you are responsible for the off fee, but I would still make sure to ask him. In my experience the guys love the idea of saving a favored customer some money, so if they have time-off available maybe, just maybe, they might be able to take time off from the bar and not have to pay the off-fee (or in their case, the "not showing up for work" fee). But as things are ramping up to high season don't count on it. Daily Fee. Here's where others may have different experiences. I don't particularly do regular "long-times," so for a guy I would be traveling with there's just the usual 2,000 per off. [Obviously BKK prices] When I make my proposal to the guy, I just take that 2,000 number and multiply it by the total number of days (counting travel days) and tell them that big total number I will pay. 4 day total trip I would just say I will pay 8,000 (plus money for bar fine). I've never had anyone counter back saying, no it should be long-term blah blah blah. I can absolutely understand a guy who would say, "no you should pay me for long-term." But so far it has never happened to me. Of course he will be happier if you offer him long-term rate, particularly if that 's the regular number you pay him. I don't have a history with a guy of paying that so I think they're just used to the usual amount I pay. I know that there are customers who say you shouldn't pay the full amount because the guy might not get off'd every day, etc." If saving that money is essential to you, then bargain away. It might have negative effect, it might not. (Of course, if he's any good he might get off'd those days, and there's clearly an opportunity cost for him.) For me I would never consider asking someone to take less than short-term rate for 24 hours of service as a travel companion. But I am lucky, so far guys have been very happy to travel with me. Food and Beverages; Incidentals. Yes you are responsible for food and drinks. But very very very often the guy I have been with has bought the occasional beverage or snack for us both, or paid taxi fare (sometimes with spending money I've given him - but also even if I haven't given spending money). Tourist fees such as museum or park admission fees, rides, etc., all the customer's responsibility. Shopping. I don't do "shopping" for the guys I'm with (but sometimes I give them some extra spending money, elaborated on below). To be honest there was one exception to the no-shopping rule. I was traveling with someone for a couple of week in VN and 3/4 of the way through his family was constantly pestering him and he had to send every Dong home to pay for his brother's school fees. I could tell he was a little crest-fallen as he transferred the money -- all that time with a customer and no money to show for it -- so I took him shopping to buy sneakers and jeans. And he was truly grateful and has remained grateful to this day. But that's the exception. Because of the rumor mill that some customers like to buy the guys stuff, I let anyone I am with know very clearly that I don't do shopping, and I've never had a problem with it. But if you want to take your guy shopping, by all means do! Pocket Money. I don't do shopping but on a longer trip I give my companion a little money in the local currency and tell him it's so he can buy something for himself or pay for drinks or dinner sometime. More than once the guys have returned the money to me at the end of the trip. SIM Card. I get a local SIM for myself and I also get one for my companion, so he can stay in touch with friends and family and post those prized pictures on Facebook. For him, just internet/no calling. I think giving him the SIM card is essential. General Considerations. This not financial, which is what you are asking about, so feel free to skip! Make clear your expectations on sex. If you have the stamina of Numazu, ggobkk or Vinapu, then you should let the guy know ahead of time it's sex a few times a day. I'm more of a once-a-day guy, with the occasional rest day, so not so much an issue. Communication is really your responsibility. (Of course we could say your companion is an equal partner and equally responsible, but the truth is, he's not.) I always build in a little "alone time" every day. Truth is I do this for myself, but all that togetherness might be difficult for him too. I've travelled with guys who in their ordinary lives just don't go to sleep until 5-6:00 am regardless of whether they got home at 1:30 am or not. I let them know they will be on "my" schedule, so we can do the touristy stuff, but I've come to accept and accommodate that they are suffering the equivalent of jet lag. So late breakfasts. Always an opportunity for them to get a real nap, not just "afternoon delight" for me. With any luck your guy won't be like this, but I seem to attract the later nighters even though I'm a morning person. Your guy might have lots of experience traveling, and he might not. I always try to be a bit sensitive to the idea that things I take for granted he might not know, so I usually try to lead by example. I've done several trips with guys where it's been their first time and there's a lot for them to absorb. When guys travel with me there is always a lot of exploration, sightseeing, touristy stuff, even walking around. Of course this makes them absolutely miserable. One day out in the sun will darken their skin and it will take them many weeks and much toxic skin creams to get them back to the light skin they need for work. I try to be sensitive to this. I always bring good strong sunscreen, the good kind that doesn't cause acne. Or I give my travel umbrella to my companion to use as a parasol. At an historic site I may give them the chance to sit in the shade while I keep exploring -- of course only after I've taken pictures of them that they can post on Facebook to show their friends... As much as I may like their skin darker, for them it's about business and their own sense of vanity, both of which I respect. Dining almost always turns out to be the most stressful part of every day every trip, and over the years I've learned to make much more of an effort to find places to eat where my companion can be happy. This can mean finding a Thai restaurant in Ubud, Bali (for example), or just making sure the menu has pictures. (Of course if my companion is from the particular country I'm visiting this is a bit easier, but still I wouldn't insist on going to restaurants that only serve food that I am used to if my companion isn't used to it as well.) I might crave a bagel or pastry for breakfast in Vientiane, but that's not "breakfast" for my companion, and I understand that. Every day eating only farang food will make him unhappy. This also of course means being attentive enough to understand that my companion may say "up to you" when he means "I really want food I'm used to [or whatever], but you're the boss."
