Latest Soi Twilight Rumor (Nov 2018)
Will7272 and 5 others reacted to DivineMadman for a topic
The bar formerly known as X-Boys is now open as "Lucky Boys." It is up some stairs right next to Dreamboy Paradiso. It looks like Bangkok Massage will take up its traditional place next door. Wonder if the new name is one way to get out from under the negative reviews reported in some of the Middle Kingdom boards?6 points -
Just unbelievable how somebody who supposedly is as well travelled as you could make such sweeping derogatory statements. Will never cease to amaze me that members who visit Thailand constantly can find so many bad things to say about it. Why don't these people stay in their own wonderful countries? Oh I forgot they can't get cheap sex with young men for a pittance of what they would have to pay at home. Oh and their own countries have plenty of problems and governments that are the laughing stock of the world. Comparing Cambodia to Thailand is just ridiculous. I don't have the time or the energy to list the differences from banking systems , to modern transportation and yes even to education. People who disparage the education system might look at the hospitals like Bumungrad where people from all over the world come for medical treatment and unbelievably the Doctors are actually Thai . How did they get to be world class Doctors . Of course some took advanced training around the world but these Doctors and Dentists grew up in Thailand. Does that quality of education filter down to the masses. Unfortunately not. Just like it does not filter down to many poor sections in my country (USA). BKK has a mass transportation system that is modern and constantly getting more complete. Is it perfect ? Of course not but it is far superior to NYC and many other cities in the world that are considered world class. BKK has an airport that puts many airports in the western world to shame. Is it perfect , of course not . I am sick of Western people looking down their nose at a country they spend so much time in. Find another country to spend your time and get the quality of cheap sex. GOOD LUCK!6 points

I just walked past the new place. There were 2 shirtless guys on bar stools giving their best smiles trying to get you in, Both would be considered muscle boys.4 points

I went to Jupiter on 31 Mar 2019. 2 guys withdrew my attention; #21 and #71. #21 looks like Head & Shoulder model, while #71 has the resemblance of Alex Yoong. #21 never did a stage show, except parading. While #71 did 2 sexy shows in which my nuts burst twice. Although I found Jupiter offers more handsome guys than Moonlight, I like Moonlight more because the stage is nicely viewed, Mamasans were all friendly and the staff were energetic & jovial.3 points

Vinapu is referring to the first picture shared by drimvoiz where 6 muscular thai models lined up hehe. I agree the extreme right has the biggest and best body, but ill take the guy next to him as well in a heart beat lol3 points

What if Babe was really suffering from priapism? Persistent and painful erection is a well documented medical condition. You guys should show some empathy and understanding.3 points

Not to worry...I think Babe is just fine Babe clip - NSFW2 points

Yep I have seen it. Absolutely Horrifying! I was hoping new Dreamboy would get rid of the awful lady boys but it seems that it’s not going to happen. The old Dreamboy was turning into old lady boys retirement home. Once there were 8 ladyboys in shows. No wonder my friend’s regular boy is extremely worried if the new bar could attract enough customers who actually off boys not just watch LBs comedy shows.2 points

Good to have the Forum’s intrepid reporter, PaulSF, on the scene. Give my regards to the guys at Maxi’s.2 points

I went to Soi Twilight last night as I heard about the demise of Soi Twilight. The area is being converted into a big mall. There are only 2000 malls in Bangkok, but they seem to want another one. Lots of the bars and clubs are now boarded up and closed. This weekend is the last weekend for a few others. Many of them are moving to the other side of Suriwong and some near Silom 4 and some near the Patong Night Market. When I first came to Bangkok 17 years ago, I fell in love with this area as there were 10 GoGo bars and 10 beer bars (estimate) on the same little street and all next door to each other. Walk out one door with 100 boys on stage and into another with the same. Paradise! Now, it will be more spread out and a bit of a hike (5 minutes) from one area to another. Some are moving next to each other while others are still trying to find venues. I don't get into this area too often but wanted to go in this weekend to say goodbye to this old friend. This truly was one of the most amazing streets on earth and it will never be replicated anywhere. It is just not possible to do. Now, don't think for one moment that this means the boys are gone. They will still be there, just spread out a bit more and now more than a 5 second walk.1 point
-
Does anyone know the drink prices? But if it is a drag bar they could have 50 baht drinks and I still would not go.1 point
-
Oh and the new venue has lesser than 10 small round tables which could only fit 4 people at one time. The stage is only 1/3 of their previous stage at twilight. Very very small.1 point
-
I have only been to the previous venue once, and I can see at least 20 boys in twilight (last two months). In DB Paradiso, based on my rough calculation, I can see more than 10 but lesser than 20. Maybe because the old venue is still operating so the boys are currently splitting. Perhaps.1 point

If you buy a bar but have to change the name and open in a new location, what are you buying? Why not simply open your new bar with in the same location you were going to relocate the old bar to?1 point

I’ve stayed at The Raya multiple times. I like it very much. However, the Raya is next to Twilight and I’m wondering (for my next visit) if there will a noise impact from the destruction and construction?1 point

Been there on the opening night but didn’t stay longer. Out of 3 shows I’ve seen, 2 of them are ladyboy shows. Not to mention that the new venue is small. Small as in 1/3 size of the DB in soi twilight.1 point

My numbering in quote. 1. There is no precedence. But in principle I would, after several positive encounters. But no free boy managed to tally up enough positive encounters (let's say 4) to warrant a such an expense. Money boys yes, but they already got paid. The boy in question was free (as are most of my encounters nowadays). 2. Considering that even Klong Toey slum has running water, electricity, and some even have aircon and big flat screen TVs, I take the third world back. 3. I have no interest in traveling to as many different countries possible (which seems to be a hobby of some), but rather learn the language to facilitate traveling in that one country, Thailand in this case (and now extending to Chinese and Taiwan). At current, I have overnighted in 55 out of 77 provinces in Thailand and spent estimated 300 nights in 150 different hotels in Thailand (excluding Bangkok and Pattaya). I have travelled an estimated 20,000 km on the Thai railway network, and similar on buses. So yes, I think I am well travelled in Thailand. My low opinion of Thai people is based on my experience. Your experience might be different, but you probably never chased a village idiot from end of the village to the other, trying to get your hand into his pants, and failing. I had many good experiences as well, and should make a statistics to see which is more, maybe it's just my brain that remembers the negative more than the positive. Related subject: how many of your (Scooby) encounters in Thailand are paid? My experiences with money boys in Thailand (mostly Thai, but some Cambodian, Myanmar and Lao as well, however no Vietnamese for me) are overwhelmingly positive. Only when I'm looking for free sex, the problems arise. With money boys in gogo bars, there are no space-time-confusion and other problems, and when hiring online these problems are more easily overcome than with free encounters.1 point -
Oh I see...yes I agree extreme right is a hunk. I was referring to the videos on Dreamboy Facebook page showing three boys in rehearsal.1 point

Some people may prefer not to highlight to hotel weeks in advance that they plan to bring back joiners and hope to just do so discreetly, perhaps only alerting the lone late night receptionist. But the Silom hotels have pretty much seen/heard it all I imagine.1 point

I don't think its free, as in for charity, exposing his m*nh**d comes with a HIGH price, I think haa haa. I believe go go offs is a steady income unlike photoshoots which not comes in a regular basis (though he earned HIGHER). But whatever Babe's reason, let's support him and enjoy him!!! Lol1 point

Has anyone else seen the rehearsal videos on the FB, with three boys dancing in “door frames” wearing skirts that look like Easter egg lampshades? And the post that announced “14 drag shows” each night. I’m a little afraid of what else I will find there.1 point

Yes. I heard the German owner sold the bar and the new Dreamboy Paradiso is solely owned by a Thai owner according to a veteran Dreamboy boy.1 point

Interesting...I used the word “closures” in replying to the OP. Admittedly, I should have written “road closures”, my fault. But the commentators responses went to bars and alcohol... So, I rewrite my reply - you shouldn’t have a problem and there will be celebratory mood as the coronation happens during your visit. Possible problem will be an increase in visitors and some road closures near the coronation area.1 point

I didn’t go inside so can only report on what I saw and heard sitting at Maxi’s till 10. There were only 2 touts working out front , but with barely no foot traffic they were board. Usually you see boys coming and going in the side door, but I saw none, I suspect there had to be some boys or they wouldn’t be touts working to get you inside. Also interesting, the German owner, or ex owner, always leaves after 11:30 show. Last night he left at 9. There was a German customer in Maxi’s and they sat and talked for 5 minutes. I’ve never seen him leave that early, but can be any number of reasons why. But I’m sure no customers could be high on the list.1 point
-
Maxi’s and Hot Male say they are open till April 15. Dreamboys Twilight was saying last night that they are staying open till the end of April. But considering last night there were no customers we will have to see if they hang in there till the end.1 point

And yet they close bars and no alcohol rules the night before election?1 point

Arriving 19 April for 10 days. Stay tune for newbie reports of all the new bars etc.1 point

Politicians and charities ask us for money and offer their good will in return. We may choose to accommodate some of those requests but it's safe to say we reject most. MB's on the other hand provide a service and may or may not (I've never been asked to finance a phone purchase) suggest an added quid pro quo. Although some may chose to do so we're under no obligation to oblige. But the guy is entitled to ask as are the pols and the charities. If it makes you feel better to refer to these guys as prostitutes--third world or otherwise, so be it. But I think it dehumanizes the interaction you travel so far to enjoy. Regardless of where you come from, you can find prostitutes at home. And when you factor in all the costs associated with your trip, the cost is always cheaper in your backyard. If you view them solely in that light, it's bound IMO to affect your attitude and contribute to unsatisfactory outcomes.1 point -
Of course that is the root of your problem . You look at the boys you hire as a 3rd world prostitutes and in your mind a prostitute is a low level human being who is only there to provide you with pleasure. I might be wrong but I think many of our members here have a more evolved feeling of both the country and the boys that give them pleasure. I would guess many of our members even know countries where prostitution is completely legal and and the money is quite good. I would also guess some ,at least of our members come from a country where prostitutes make high 6 figure incomes and have the same wants of many of us for a nice home and cars etc. I and I think many of our members are not put off by the boys asking for something . Because they know that the boy is just asking without assuming. Nothing ventured nothing gained! Different if the boy reacts badly if his request is denied . I would guess that happens about 1% or less of the time. I said it before and of course you ignored it that there is no chance you would ever buy a boy an 8000 baht phone . That is 8x your maximum to pay a boy for giving you pleasure and I am sure there are many times you paid less than 1000 baht. Anyone who actually travels the world would never refer to Thailand as a 3rd world country. You spend a lot of time in the agrarian sections of Thailand where boys are cheaper and you can feel more superior . That would be similar to someone referring to the farm areas of Iowa as a 3rd world country in the USA. You are not really well travelled although you think you are . And many of your comments show disdain for the Thai people . Again as I have written before, I think many , even most of our members have a much higher opinion of Thailand and the Thai people . I know I do !1 point

Chiang Mai most air-polluted city in world
ChristianPFC reacted to reader for a topic
From The Nation (23 Mar.) Chiang Mai on Saturday remained the most air-polluted city in the world for the second consecutive day, according to the AirVisual.com website. AirVisual reported at 9.13am that the air quality index (AQI) of Chiang Mai on Saturday stood at 385, much higher than the 100 AQI safety standard. The northern capital has been covered with white smog for almost two weeks, prompting Chiang Mai residents to wear N95 air-filter marks outdoors. The Chiang Mai University, the Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna and Chiang Mai provincial administration confirmed that the air quality in the city remained critical. The three agencies had 86 stations to measure air quality of the northern capital and found that all stations recorded brown and purple zones, meaning the air quality remained hazardous to health. They found the worst air quality was in Mae Taeng district with a PM2.5 level of 443 micrograms per cubic metre (mcg). PM2.5 means airborne particulates 2.5 microns or less in diameter. Doi Saket district was found to have the least PM.5 level or 204mcg, which was still hazardous to health. The website of the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency reported Saturday that its VIIRS satellite spotted 586 hotspots from forest burning in the North. It reported that 162 hotspots were detected in Mae Hong Son, 91 in Chiang Rai, 69 in Chiang Mai, 79 in Nan, 55 in Prae, 55 in Phayao, 52 in Lampang, 14 in Tak and 9 in Lamphun. The high level of haze in Chiang Rai reportedly stemmed from the many forest fires, both in the province and from nearby areas. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/detail/national/303663581 point -
Monday : back to Rio de Janeiro I am staying in a Airbnb flat in Copacabana very close to the beach. Rather high end flat and I am a bit surprised to see the notice in the elevator ... Administration of the building comolains that some residents instead of walking their dog just send the shit from the window. Administration suggests to these resident to put flour around the shit, to fry it and to eat it as "bolinhos"... Typical Brazilian administrative humour.1 point

Bars Report 2019
ChristianPFC reacted to Nathan_B for a topic
I too find BBB's now fully clothed boys far from satisfactory. A multitude of sins - such as body hair:) - could be hidden. It seemed only the muscular guys took their shirts off. There were a couple of potential offs last time, but I passed because I couldn't really check them out properly. They've also removed the proper seating directly in front of the stage and replaced it with small stools so they can cram a few more punters in for the show. Last time I was there, this resulted in a shrieking girl on the front row knocking drinks over behind her, as she recoiled from the fake cum in the big cock show. I had to sit through the rest of the show with beer soaked shorts.1 point -
G Boys
ChristianPFC reacted to CurtisD for a topic
This thread provides an object lesson in how bars differ on different occasions. G Boys was formerly the old XSize in Twilight. One of the first bars to relocate out of Twilight. As XSize its attraction was its range of twinks for all tastes from slightly fem to moderately built and a range of nationalities. Thai, Myanmar, Lao, Cambodian, Vietnamese. However, it was variable. Some nights a stage packed with a multinational array of charming twinks. Some nights walk up the stairs, look, and with a rueful smile descend back to street level. Often on these occasions the authorities were cracking down on non-Thai guys. I had some of my best experiences with guys from there, also the worst. One of the mamasans was my pick for All Time Most Irritating, and I usually get on well with mamasans. Last trip I wanted to see it in its new location and, based on that one visit, I would go back. Twinks of all types, multiple nationalities, two stand-outs. But only three customers. Although to be fair it was quite early. That was September. Now we have reports that December was muscle and January rough trade. My guess is that the Soi Wall Street location is not helping business. Go and take a look. If it is a good night, great. If not, just appraise the room, smile and leave.1 point -
Info on a bunch of BKK Massage Shops
ChristianPFC reacted to DivineMadman for a topic
I take a different approach and say if someone wants to check out a particular shop or particular guy(s) outside central Bangkok, then by all means do if you have the time and the desire. These days the easiest way to do it -- for me at least -- is to have the shop send their location on Line. I then just use that with a click or two to book a Grab Taxi. It avoids my translation errors and I never have to try to explain exactly where I want to go. (I think the workflow actually is, after the usual back-and-forth about booking particular guy(s): (1) shop sends map "location", (2) Line gives me the option to open that location in google maps, then (3) use the google maps option of booking Grab. For some reason once that worked better for me and that's how I've done it ever since. I don't think you can book Grab directly using Line, but I haven't checked that in a long time). If it's in an unusual neighborhood, I also invariably check out the location using street view on google maps - just because I'm that sort of nerd and like to pre-orient myself, even though very often particluar sub sois/alleys are not covered. Getting a Grab home is just as easy (or easier). A more cost effective approach is often to take MRT/BTS to the nearest station and then get a Grab, but booking straight from my condo is so much easier I indulge. "Faces say nothing-no relation with quality of services at all." Truer words never written. Personally, I don't think quality/skills/enthusiasm increase or decrease with distance from Silom, but certainly facility with English decreases outside the main tourist zones. Even in Silom, these days my expectations are a fairly middling massage and who-knows-what-will-happen as far as the special services. More often than not I'm pleasantly surprised by the massage and I enjoy the thrill of discovery as far as the special services are concerned. [Keeping a list of "regulars" who meet massage skill requirements and also rock-my-world, but always leaving time to try some new guys/places, is the best. IMHO]. So definitely if someone drives 45 minutes and thinks that the massage is going to be better as a result of distance, he's likely to be disappointed, but that's because of the his unreasonable expectations. But if some particular cutie grabs your eye, you have the time and the money, why not go - just go with reasonable expectations. Up to you. Crowns Club has been around 2 years, and a lot of the guys who work there seem to be regulars, to the limited extent I've kept track. That's a very good sign. It seems well-managed. I know two people who have been there (one intimately). No reason not to go there as far as I can say. The guys there aren't 100% my taste, but for some there might be a major league hottie there. It does seem that there is a common complaint about "where are the twinks" in Bangkok, so I try to point them out for those who care.1 point -
