Quite a long time has passed since i first encountered Nicky at Moonlight but the experience remains locked in my memory. I visited Moonlight last night. drink price 450 Baht. I entered around 10 pm for the 10:30 show. There were only 6 customers but gradually filled to 20+ at the end of the show. Interesting you picked Essence Palace. It’s the hotel I usually stay in when in Hanoi. Great location in the Old Quarter. It caters to Western tourist. The entire staff speaks fluent English. Rates are great so I always get a terrace suite. Fun sitting on terrace and watching the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter. If your flying in, let them arrange car. Cheap and driver knows where hotel is. Old Quarter is difficult for taxis to find their way around. Now the downside ...if you want to bring company back to your room. They used to have a sign in lobby saying No Guest Allowed in Rooms. When I was there in October it was gone. But I usually have my boy with me so not looking to bring someone back. My friend is younger, Vietnamese and we live in Bangkok. They treat him like royalty as Vietnamese don’t stay in this hotel. Only one time I have had a Vietnamese friend stop by. I met him in lobby. I took him to the room with looks from front desk but nobody stopped me. I had a package for him from friends so only in room 10 minutes. I could tell front desk wanted to say something, but I stay there a lot and figure they cut me some slack. I don’t think u will as lucky. One guest u will be ok, but different guy every night I think an issue. They take all passport or ID info. Extremely small lobby, so impossible to sneak anybody in. Western chain hotels only place you might get away with revolving door. I’ll be back there in March or April. Be interested to hear how you make out.

Although the OP does not identify the generous farang by name, he identifies the particular bar where the young man works and he describes the generous farang by nationality and age. The OP, however, does acknowledge that he has met the generous man several times. The OP identifies the person who relates the story as a "life-long" friend of the generous man. And contrary to the OP's claim that this life-long friend didn't discuss his generous friend's finances, he goes into specific detail about amounts of cash allegedly given to the young man for various purposes. The life-long friend did "fall out" with his generous friend. Hummmm..... By this time, much of the gay Pattaya community is aware of this yarn and speculation is ripe as to the identities of both the generous man and the bar worker. And a few questions come to mind: Did the life-long friend provide the information with the understanding it would be posted on a gay Thai forum? Did the OP author tell the life-long friend he'd be writing on line about it? Since he says he knows the generous man, why didn't the OP go to him with his concern that he was being taken advantage of? Some searches (eg FB) yield a previous (incorrect) address for Fercho. Tartegogo also provided the correct location in the listings here. It is #24 on Cra 43 (aka Carrera Girardot) just north of Cl 54 (aka Calle Caracas). Or Cra 43 #54-24. The building numbers there characteristically have a prefix designating the cross street. By rights there should be a hyphen after the prefix, some buildings do and others don't, but everyone there knows the system.

Exactly, i like those muscles boy, so with apps, its really hard to find one thst isnt fake, even if its not fake, it could be few years old pic, and once they stop working out, their body wont be as goood anymore. The taxi thing from the hotel makes sense, because the ones standing in front of it will almost certainly not turn on the meter but ask for some way inflated tourist price. That may in part be for the convenience of waiting there to be ready to go, and also they may pay someone a "commission" for the privilege to park there to wait for passengers from the hotel. So better to flag down a moving taxi willing to turn on the meter. Same is true of all or most stationary taxis, like at night along Silom or Surawong to pick up night owls. As for getting there, the Iconsiam shuttle boats are clearly the best option. They run very frequently (every 10 minutes from Sathorn pier, according to the website) and are quite large, so are quite efficient. Even if there is a long-looking queue at the pier, that entre queue will most likely fit on just one boat. The condo building at Iconsiam being taller than the MahaNakon surpises me! I'll double check that too... Not knowig this I didn't pay attention to it when on the rooftop of the MahaNakon, but no building seemed as tall as my vantage point, not even close. Where did all the people go? No surprise here on a Monday MORNING before noon!! Who goes shopping at that time? Afternoons and evenings (think dinner) will be more crowded. I do agree that the lower level is rather unique for a shopping mall and nicely done. Prices for the "street food" are of course higher than in the real street, but quite reasonable I find. As for the luxury shops: The huge glass front facing the river with all those super expensive super luxury brands are the crown jewels of the mall, to be prominently showcased the way they are. But that gives a false impression of the mall overall. For one there is the aforementioned large Thai-style area on the ground floor just behind the luxury shop area. Then behind it, there is the huge expanse of the actual main mall, which houses all the normal shops you'd expect, such as H&M, Uniclo and the like. Nothing special, of course, but not just the high-end stuff none of us is interested in. You can buy normal stuff at normal prices there.

I was at Mezzaniu this past Sunday so only have one day for a comparison. The sauna could use some upkeep as there was no videos in the room, some of the showers in the rooms were in disrepair, and the main door to the wet/dry sauna barely could be opened. On the plus side, I do like the larger outside area on the top floor with the barbecue. Hopefully Riu, the owner, will invest in some maintenance. There were quite a number of customers and about 15-20 garotos there. I did note that they are offering a special promotion of a free entrance on Sundays for those clients who come on Saturday. I had to pay the entrance fee but it was only 30 reais and rooms were between 35-45 reais, depending on the size of the room, including kits that are in the room. As has always been the case, many of the garotos were sitting and talking with customers but there were still a number of guys walking around and in the video room. This has always been one of my favorite saunas and while it could use some upkeep, I was glad I went on Sunday. I ended up staying for 4-5 hours and had lots of fun. One of the things I like most about the garotos here is they will spend time with you, if you want, both in and out of the rooms, so the atmosphere feels unrushed. Many of the guys working here arrive between 4-5 pm and leave by 9 pm unless they are hanging out with others, so keep that in mind if you decide to visit.

I echo what everyone here says!! i have been going 4 or 5 times a year since 2001 and it is actually so much easier now with the translation apps then it was in 2001 when no one even had smart phones, and information on a forum like this was very limited! I remembered i only took cash and a 35mm camera the first 5 years i went to Rio! One kind of a mistake every newbie makes including me is going to the sauna for the first time and going with the first guy that smiles or talks to you! Go in sit down have a drink and take in the scene for 15 - 30 minutes before you pick your guy! I guarantee you will see a guy you think is hotter then the First guy you see, or the 2nd or the 3rd lol One thing that a new American i met last trip told me, he says “i thought 117 was supposed to be one of the best saunas here but there are not that many guys in the bar!?” I asked him “did you walk to the left of the stage out the back doorway to the “smoking bar area?” He said “No i didn’t know there was another room!” Make sure you check out all the areas(Manhatten Rios has a hidden 2nd bar also).

On to Bangkok - Thursday The driver from Mike's Pattaya arrived at The Poseidon right on time...which was a surprise as Mike's drivers are usually early. Traffic flow was surprisingly light UNTIL we approached Swampy. The traffic from the airport, the regular city traffic, and it's a road in Bangkok so it's a slow moving parking lot. The driver was using his map app for directions and I could see where the roads were highlighted in red...it was going to be awhile. Eventually, we pulled into the driveway for Bandara Hotel and Suites. I'd attempted to book both the Raya and Tarntawan but neither was able to confirm my request for nine nights. Each could confirm a shorter stay toward the time I'd be heading home. When I was in Bangkok at the end of the summer, I'd checked with the Raya and the staff and the booking agencies showed it would be full. This was due to some major golf tournament that appealed to Japanese clients. I asked about other hotels and read up on what other Forum members were mentioning about accommodation. Reader and the manager of Maxi's both were positive about Bandara, so before I flew home in September, I visited Bandara which is about a five minute walk from Senso and close to Prince. It's a two building complex, the first building, which houses an upscale Japanese restaurant and an all purpose hotel dining room is for folks in groups or staying for extended periods. The second building is for shorter hotel stays. I was given a guide and together we toured the various options, the higher up one stays in the hotel finds both the price and the view increasing. There is a large swimming pool as well as an extra large hot tub situation close to a decently equipped gym. The rooms that I toured all had small but well equipped kitchens, the view from the upper floors was expansive. I didn't commit in September as I assumed (bad thing to do) that a room would become available at The Raya. I kept checking but there was no change. I'll be honest, I like a bit of comfort - so some other places that had vacancies did not appeal, nor did those that had joiner fees for guests. My "suite" was on the 24th floor, the living room's outer wall was all glass, almost 20 feet in width that provided a view from the Sala Daeng BTS to Lumpini Park and beyond. Fully equipped bathroom with a Japanese spray and wash toilet, and a large bedroom with a king size bed, a desk, etc. The safe worked, water was supplied, kitchen had water, dishes cutlery...this will work. I headed out to meet up with my favorite masseur at Nakarat only to learn that he was home, bummer. I hadn't set up anything in advance though we'd been in LINE contact a week ago while I was in Pattaya. So, on to Prime, where I was told there was a 30 minute wait for a combination foot and Thai massage. I walked around he neighborhood and noticed that the empty lot where there had been lots of food stalls was now a construction site. It could be a hotel or it could be something to do with the nearby hospital. Had my combo bak at Prime and headed back to Bandara to change stopping at the market in the Silom Complex for groceries for breakfast. I confirmed with Reader that I was in town and would meet up at Maxi's to celebrate Thanksgiving (US version). I also let Van know I was in town and that we'd meet up. For those who haven't followed my past reports, Van was my first successful off when I returned to Thailand after almost two decades. He has been my long time off for most of my stays. This relationship has adapted over time to his being a friend with benefits. He is still an excellent in bed partner but he is also a commentator on what's happening and an evaluator of possible offs, and one who will actively find offs that he believes will appeal to me. I'm also in touch with Nuguyen from Screwboys - who I haven't seen in two years. Our last meeting was the week the late King, Rama IX, died. He is back in town and we LINE about meeting on Saturday. I head out to Maxi's to meet Reader. We often meet there at what we refer to as PaulSF time...translation, from row seating at Maxi's to watch the boys going to work. As I entr Twiight, I'm greeted by the touts at Hot Male as an old friend, there is now a third tout, and they all have new Hot Male shirts which they show me. There are now three not because there is more business but because they help out at Moonlight - both having the same owner. I notice the Cambodian Lao boys, I uaually have a drink with at Hot Male 2 aren't there. This is another disappointment as I are each fun guys who I have offed on past visits (miss the convenience of The Raya) Thursday night is Pau's night off at Maxi's.. Pau is my favorite waiter and keeps me informed of what is happening and he remembers who I've been with and if they are still working, where they are working. One of the other waiters spots me and puts me at a table that easily meets PaulSF's standard with the bonus of being able to see the stage at Freshboys. Within a few minutes of sitting down, Van, who is working at Freshboys, joins me and we start catching up, I buy him a drink and offer dinner, he has a lemony ice tea drink, and I tell him I'll off him but will give him the baht so I don''t have to go to Freshboys tonight. He will take care of that and go to his place and get his stuff and come back to Maxi's. Reader arrives and we catch up, he has been in town for a while and won't be leaving until after I'm home, he lets me know that possibly the reason my Nakarat masseur and the Hot Male 2 guys aren't around is that there has been change in the commission structure at both places. (Reader, when you see this - if i have something wrong, please correct). We have some food, Reader eats later with one of his many "friends". He introduces me to one of the bar boys at X-boys, small sized but very cute, who joins us for a drink before the evening's acton starts. Reader lets me know that Divine Madman is celebrating the Loy Krathong Festival and will be back in Bangkok on Saturday. Van returns, he knows the X-Boys bar boy, and he joins us. I believe Reader and I are both almost ready to leave, but about an hour earlier we watched as two girls with suitcases wandered into Twilight, they were rushed by the boys at Bangkok Massage, they decided to have massages, which made the boys preen like peacocks, two were selected, and the four adjourned upstairs... So Reader and I await for the girls to re-emerge. The do, one looks happy, one no so much. After they have gone off, the guys they chose come down after cleaning up the massage rooms and are immediately the center of attention of their co-workers. Reader puts names to some of the guys, one of whom is a favorite of PaulSF's. Van and I say good night, we stop at Foodland for more supplies, then to Bandara Suites where I have him check in as a hotel guest. He thinks this is the best hotel I've been in over the years. We spend lots of time talking as he's only back in Bangkok after almost a year of working in VIetnam at a failing business. He' not happy that the business failing had him return to the gogo clubs but it's better money than at home where there isn't that much work. He tells me that a mutual friend, Paul who used to be at Hot Male will be back in town while I'm in Bangkok. We agree that I will consider him a nightly off, but won't pay a fee to the club, he can return to the room when the Freshboys closes about 2am. I'll text hi if I have offed someone and they are at the hotel. We've done this before so we have the routine down. He tells me to avoid one boy who has started to cheat customers (he says he's telling me this as the boy is a type that appeals to me). We had planned to go to Jupiter but decided to just stay in and get comfortable with each other. He is aware of what I like and activates us both.

Battery recharged When I reach the massage parlor, I know it's just a bit further on to get to Nice Boys, which saving as my last Sunnee stop tonight, I turn into Sunnee Plaza, wondering if someone neglected to pay the light bill...actually the dark spots are caused by the number of closed establishments. And of course, GoodBoys works in the dark. Four guys on chairs outside waiting for customers, I take a look in Eros, there a few customers, head next to Winner Boys, maybe a dozen boys, few customers (it's about 10pm), buy drinks for a couple of the guys, no pressure other than by reciprocal touching of private spaces. I head out for Nice Boys. Busy! Lots of boys and appendages on display per the bar's style. Invite #12 to join me and also gain a manasan, Mac, who looked thirsty. Drinks offered and accepted. I could definitely off #12 but have to complete my assigned duty to report. And I have a goal...off to Boyztown. Too late, for the BBB parade, the new bar/club is really lighting up the street. It doesn't open until after I've left for Bangkok co I can't report. Stop into Cupidol, maybe a dozen customers and a good mix of boys, I have a Sprite to be polite. One or two of the boys appeal to me, stop in the rest room, back rubs while at t he urinal still being provided! Off, to Toyboys, and my goal for the night. Soph, who I offered to great pleasure and a threesome, a few months ago, is on stage and comes over as soon as I'm seated. I'd texted him I'd be there tonight and this wasn't a chance meeting. He went to change, I paid the fees, tipped the mamasan 100, we then headed for the baht bus, The Poseidon, a shower, and a twosome this time. Soph is almost perfect for me, looks, charm, romantic abilities, willingness to play, and stamina. I'm not sure when he left, but it was almost dawn. We agreed to meet up again before I leave for Bangkok. Note, time with Soph, including off fee, was 1,700. Sunday Breakfast today is at the Continental as it opens before Big Kahuna and I've been awake since Soph left. Today is programmed, and can be reported briefly, Catch up on internet news, emails, etc. back at the hotel, head to beach, chair still there, pet the dog belonging to the management, stretch out on the sand for a 90 minute massage, back to my chair and some watermelon drinks. The masseur name is "Noo", I've neglected to mention that, sorry. Head back to hotel around 3pm, again chatting with and checking out the massage therapists on offer. Tonight, I'm meeting up with a friend, who I first met when he my guide to parts of Thailand and Laos. He has since left the business and now manages properties in Pattaya for some Americans. He is bringing his friend, Michel. They arrive on time and we dine at The Poseidon which lays on the full gourmet experience. Everyone is happy! They invite me to have lunch and do some touring on Wednesday. Accepted. After they leave, I head to @Home and off Peas and we head back to the hotel. Much more responsive tonight (me) and a pleasant time is had though I'm not the best bottom in the world, things work. This is a short time arrangement, and he leaves around 2am. He tells me he has to do a visa run to Cambodia early Wednesday morning.

It's still day one It's ten o'clock, and I'm exhausted and haven't even been here for a full day. I decide to investigate Jomtien on a Friday night and to keep my word about finding Peas tonight @Home He's sent several texts over the past few hours. The bars are bustling with those bunched together close to the Venue being the busiest. Peas spots me before I see him and greets me with a hug. I buy drinks for us and one of his friends. Peas tells me about why he couldn't see me last night. Knowing how well that turned out for me, I told him all was ok. I told him I'd met Doh and filled in the time. Peas tells me he is planning to stay with me while I'm in town. I say "no" but will off him tonight and he can stay the night but I wanted to see the show at Venue. So I paid the off fee (I paid 600 THB for three drinks and an off fee, think I was undercharged). The last time I went to The Venue for the show, I was disappointed. The stage is constricted, the sight lines from the audience are partially blocked by the pillars supporting the hotel above. The show itself is choreographed to the inch of stage space and the performers were exuberantly careful about where they put their feet. Have to admit nothing seemed changed since my previous visit other than the dancers seemed to be mechanical. We left at the intermission to allow for drink buying. As jet lag is really starting to take control of my ability to function, my lack of enthusiasm for the show may be more me - the audience was having a good time. Back at The Poseidon, I told Peas what my day had been like and that I'd appreciate it he would be more company than active bed partner. He understood, we took a shower, I went to bed and sleep, he played some video games on his phone, joined me in bed, cuddled and provided some oral pleasuring. Around 3am, he told me he was going to leave...I thanked him for his time and gave him 1500. It's now Saturday, and I'd completed a full day, spent time with three guys and had a beach massage. Today, I have a plan, first breakfast at Big Kahuna, Pancakes, eggs, tea, and OJ for 220 baht. Walked down to the beach arriving sometime after 10am. My chair is ready for me, Beach massage (300 thb + 100 thb tip), spent maybe three hours relaxing, going back to The Poseidon around 4pm, checking out and joking with the massage boys on view in Jomtien. Thought I might have a strong Thai massage at the Blind massage school but decided a nap was a better idea as I had a full night planned. Slept until just before 7pm, when the Poseidon's owner hosts a cocktail party with meal sized appetizers for the hotel guests. Tonight there are maybe a dozen of us. 11 of whom speak in a Swiss-German dialect. I'm the 12th one and get my sense of what is being said by facial expressions, Heiko breaks in now and then into English for my sake, I'm enjoying the wind and snacks, which will be dinner, the chef joins us with chocolate and, using his Dutch accented English tells me about his plans for a 15 course dinner at the hotel next week for members of a local group that comes once a month. Around 9, the party breaks up, and I head into town to meet up with Soph and to keep my promise to another member of the Forum to check out Boyztown and Sunnee. So, making sure I have a sufficient supply of "red notes" as recommended by Vinapu and placed in accessible pockets, Decide to check out Sunnee first, over the years, I've gotten confused trying to find it. Now my way there is to get off the baht bus when I'm at the the MCDonald's with the large statue of Ronald McDonald. I then take the road/soi that runs next to the hotel next to McD's. sorry, to interrupt the narrative...have to break away to recharge the computer battery...be back shortly...

This report was delayed at first by procrastination. Then after, I'd finished the Pattaya portion and was about to copy and paste it from Google docs, the Forum changed and copy and paste made a mishmash of what I'd written, re-formatted the text, and bold faced words randomly. So, I'm now re-entering my report directly into the system. That settled with Max coming to The Poseidon at 4pm, I head out to Dongtan Beach. Some time back, maybe two years or so, I bemoaned what I thought of as the destruction of the beach, with the trees being torn out, the construction seeming to be haphazard. I doubted the ability of the local government to match the final product to the artist sketches of what the beach would be like. Let me state, so far so good. The work on the sidewalks, installing rows and rows of palm trees, and creating non-smoking areas has left Dongtan in good shape. Currently, the restroom area is gone, torn down to allow a new one to be constructed, which was happening during my visit. I tend to settle in at the first umbrella area after the restrooms. I have a nodding acquaintance with the guys who work the umbrellas and chairs and the mamasan who manages it and her dog. My phone opens to the wifi as I settle in - this area has the advantage of giving me a good view of the always shirtless umbrella attendance in the next section. I catch up on what's happened in the six months since my last visit, have my feet and toes taken care of by one of the ladies who comes by. I then have a massage by a beach masseur who looks like he could be working at Tawan. After the massage, some watermelon drinks, and crowd watching, I decide to head back and get ready for what ever will be. I realize that I should get some baht since I'll be meeting up with Max and then, later, with Peas. After a shower, back at the hotel, I head across the road to the TMB ATM. It's out of order, I go inside to see if I can get baht from the teller using my card. A woman sitting at a desk direct me to use the deposit machine as it doubles as an ATM. I do, it takes my card, asks all the usual questions, tells me there will be a fee, and I ask for 20,000 THB. The machine screen says thank you, the machine returns my card, and there it stops. No baht! Small panic attack. I go inside and tell the staff member sho sent me to the deposit machine what happened. She comes out to the machine with me. She enters some codes and turns the machine off. We have a "dialogue" as the machine screen had told me the money was taken from my US account. I wont detal the dialogue - but at the ned of several minutes, it's clear she wont give me her name, my money, or any support - saying its a problem with my bank! I return to The Poseidon and contact my Credit Union, whose ATM card I was using, it has a 24 hour contact line and I explain what happened. To my surprise, given that I'm a voice on an international call, the withdrawal from TMB is cancelled and my account re-credited for 20,000 THB and the fee. When I return home, I went to the neighborhood branch of the Credit Union and thanked them. Still needing some baht, I head to another ATM, I use my bank ATM card and withdraw 15,000 (this card as a lower limit). Back at the Poseidon, I get a text from Max, he doesn't have to work the dinner shift at this restaurant, so O.K if he comes at 5pm rather than 4. OK with me. He asks for the room number. Shortly before 5pm, there is knock at the door. It's Max. He's very handsome, slim, and actually looks like his Planet Romeo photos! He's shy. We talk for some time as we work to overcome his shyness and moves closer, from there we move to the shower where we are actively intimate. We move to the bed, where the shyness disappears as he takes over at my encouragement. There is no rush, he is intuitive as to what pleases me and pushes a majority of my buttons. After, we finish in bed and clean up, i realize this has been a "moment" that's special. He is in no hurry to leave, I ask if he'd like to have dinner...yes, so we eat at the Poseidon's restaurant. He tells me about his work and that he will be on the cleanup crew tonight when he goes back. We finish dinner and go back tot he room so he can get his things, we end up back in bed so we can have access to each other's "things". Finally, he has to leave as he's being texted about his whereabouts by his restaurant. He asks if he can see me again. Silly question...answer is "yes". He hasn't mentioned anything about money, I ask if I can help pay for his taxi to work. Answer, "thanks, but no need". And he leaves. I'm confused...I was sure he was a money boy, but, no suggestion of a money exchange. A sexually charged romantic interlude...maybe a first in for me in Thailand.
