SALVADOR, BAHIA, Dec 22 to Jan 3

I am certain that you did not offend him and that his lack of responsiveness will ultimately be explained by being busy with clients who are visiting now or soon. For example, I will be in Salvador in a couple of weeks and have spoken to him twice, since Wednesday.1 point -

I stay in Flamengo, the middle distance, and it is convenient in many ways. I consistently walk places or take the Metro underground. The beachwalk there is fine. I do not spend much time exposed to the sun. But I think it makes sense on your first and relatively short visit to stay in a more iconic district, as you have done..1 point

I am 2 blocks off Copacabana beach, about 3, maybe 4 blocks up from the fort. Lovely area, but seems like I keep taking 30 minute ubers to get to stuff. at R$30 or so, it isn't breaking the bank or anything, but seems counter productive. Did the naval museum and the art museum this morning. Both ho-hum, but I liked walking the waterfront there, and saw a sea turtle and a lot of fish. Of course one of the benefit of Uber is it seems that all the drivers I have had are young and hot. The one who took me up there this morning I seriously considered propositioning. But I thought maybe being in the backseat of his car moving at speed wouldn't work out so well for me if he took the offer badly...1 point

Hotels in Rio keep closing

I got to read about 13 hotels closing since the Olympics, not just one, before the first pop up scared me away.1 point -
Couldn't agree more with fellow posters. Does not appear like the most definitive source at least for hard news of what is actually going on in the country, and yes, those pop-up notices do grate!1 point

In preparation for a trip (which actually may not happen) I have recently been trying to summarise what we know about hot spot locations in Colombia. Here is is a link to the latest version:1 point

Oh, Bucky - you are doing it again. You site various people in support of your specious assertions. In the video you presented above, you show Laura Ingraham, a bull-dike who never married and who actively expressed hated for male gays. Until she found out that her own brother was gay and had HIV, she was openly hostile to anything gay to hide her own lesbianism. After her brother became ill, she became less hostile to male gays. "Views on homosexuality" In her senior year at Dartmouth College, Ingraham was the editor-in-chief of an unofficial conservative college newspaper, The Dartmouth Review,[9] becoming its first female editor.[citation needed] Ingraham wrote several controversial articles during her tenure. Notably, she sent a reporter undercover to a campus LGBTQ meeting. She then published a transcript of the meeting and included the names of the attendees, describing them as "cheerleaders for latent campus sodomites".[10][11] She was criticized for forcibly outing the meeting's attendees.[11] At the start of the meeting, an oath of confidentiality was read whereby participants in the meeting were assured that information from the meeting would not be made public.[11] Ingraham claimed confidentiality did not apply, because the meeting had been advertised, and defended the outing of the gay students as a "freedom of the press issue".[11] Jeffrey Hart, the faculty adviser for The Dartmouth Review described Ingraham as having "the most extreme anti-homosexual views imaginable", claiming "she went so far as to avoid a local eatery where she feared the waiters were homosexual".[12][13] In 1997, Ingraham wrote an essay in The Washington Post in which she stated that she had changed her views on homosexuality after witnessing "the dignity, fidelity, and courage" with which her gay brother, Curtis, and his partner coped with AIDS. Ingraham has stated that she supports civil unions between same-sex partners, but believes marriage "is between a man and a woman".[14] So, Bucky, if you are going to present something or someone to support your assertions, please chose a person or something without a checkered past hostile to our community.1 point

I can’t imagine an attractive sauna guy would be interested in 30 real tricks when they can make 4 times that at Lagoa or Fragata. The time I went I did not see a single sauna guy there...of course every night is different. Bar Fama is in an area known as crackolandia. Many of the guys are noticeably high. I did see one confrontation between a hustler and a client. The hustler was yelling something in a clients face and it looked like he might attack him. The client looked terrified. PopeFrancis is shocked that a hustler would sell himself for 30 reals, but guess what the cost of crack is in crackolandia? If you guessed 30 reals you would probably be right. I’m not saying you couldn’t have a good time there, just tread carefully..1 point -
Bucknaway, You are amazing. Like a salmon swimming upstream to spawn you are doing what you need to do. I am hoping that unlike a salmon you will not die after delivering your spawn or message as it were. Best regards, RA11 point

Bar Fama was the highlight of my last trip to Brazil. Young skinny guys who willingly fell to their knees and then later bent over Me: How much? Him: 30 Reais (about £7 or $8) Me: Are you serious? Him: Yes 30 R Me: You can't sell yourself for that small amount? Him: OK... 50 R It was genuinely sordid, dirty and exciting. They were even queuing up to be my next purchase! Not the sort of place you go to for clean white sheets and rose petals on the bed. (there is no bed)1 point -
Yes, taking it up the ass from Putin is setting a high bar. I wish all Presidents were so willing to bottom for Russians, or at least for someone. I think once you get fucked in the ass, you look at the world from a whole new perspective. Wouldn't you agree?1 point

I now live in Atlanta but my office is still based in Manhattan. Although I sure wouldn't mind being retired, alas, I’m not even semi-retired yet. But like you, mvan, I am established enough in my field of work and high enough on the hierarchal organizational chain to NOT have to request a few days off here and there and just settle for long weekend visits to our getaway place of choice. Also, in 2018, many of us can and do work or communicate with the office or clients remotely from anywhere in the world with just a high-speed internet connection. For some, it may be hard to understand that some people who are not fully retired are able to live like this — maybe that’s because that’s all they know. Personally, I didn’t make all of these gains and sacrifices just to wait until retirement age to have the kind of time off from the office that anyone in Europe would get. My first trip to Brazil was not Rio, not São Paulo — but Salvador da Bahia. And it was for nine days. What did I do for 9 days in Salvador? Any fucking thing I wanted! And sometimes, I chose to do nothing — which was exhilarating in its own sense. Even my friends who would join me from other parts of the USA wouldn’t stay any shorter than 6-7 days. i have never done a trip to Brazil that was less than that 9-day trip. My longest thus far has been 5 weeks. For me, anythibg ij Braxil is just not a weekend type of a trip. Maybe it’s another YMMV topic, or maybe it’s just a socioeconomic issue or issue of money, but if there are people who do fly to Brazil to do short stays in Rio, São Paulo, Salvador or any other Brazilian city, they certainly are not in my circle.1 point -
Q has declared a Sharkanado 4 level FHA (fresh hell alert), BBD, so watch your lip or we may just have to put you on the list too. Would you care to explain, just for the record, how you came to know about FHAs in the first place? Hmm? You wouldn't be a Soros minion would you?1 point

Aided by Deep State bureaucrats, Hillary, Soros and Obama are moving toward a coup against Trump, funded by the sale of minors to rich pedophiles. The whole Russian collusion thing was feigned by Trump to create a cover story for the appointment of a special counsel (Mueller) to secretly investigate and expose Clinton and the Democrats. Of course POTUS can't openly acknowledge Q but, by repeatedly referring to the 17 corrupt Democrats supposedly on Mueller's team, Trump was giving the Q guys a secret shout out to encourage their good work. (Q is the 17th letter of the alphabet, dummy. Do I have to explain every little step for you?) This may seem a lot to wrap your head around at first but there's conclusive evidence on the internet (at least for those clever enough to follow the bread crumbs). Watch out Lucky. They're coming for you next. w1 point

Rates are going to vary based on how well you negotiate, how attractive you are and how attractive the guy is...also how in demand he is...also which sauna you are at.... The average seems to be somewhere between $100 and $150R.... I never pay over $100R and on my last trip for New Years, I paid, $80R, $90R, free and I may have given one guy $100....1 point
