Bar Fama was the highlight of my last trip to Brazil. Young skinny guys who willingly fell to their knees and then later bent over Me: How much? Him: 30 Reais (about £7 or $8) Me: Are you serious? Him: Yes 30 R Me: You can't sell yourself for that small amount? Him: OK... 50 R It was genuinely sordid, dirty and exciting. They were even queuing up to be my next purchase! Not the sort of place you go to for clean white sheets and rose petals on the bed. (there is no bed)3 points -
People that retire to Thailand should know the requirements and weigh them. I think the 90-day reporting is nuts. But, it one day out of 90 so not too bad for most of my friends that live in Thailand. Things are by far often difficult to deal with but the life is also so much better than most places to retire. Great medical care is easily abundant and you can find most Western things in Thailand very easily. Plus, there are plentiful boys and I have never once felt unsafe in Thailand no matter what city I go to. I have been with my BF for 14 years. I have always been fully welcomed by everyone and that spans the gambit of social circles. I think there are pros and cons to living here. The government has not really affected daily life for many. They could make it easier and I did hear that the 90-day reporting may be able to be done online in the future. I am not sure how accurate that is. Foreigners can't own land but they can own a condo. However, I would never purchase one as you just never know if the laws are going to change. And, yes, the laws can change in the blink of an eye so I would just avoid purchasing anything. However, I have friends that have condos for over 20 years and never an issue. I have many friends who buy land in the name of their Thai partner and they put things in their name. I have done that in the past and it is something I am fine with as I would want it to go to my partner anyway should things change in my life. All that said, like Kjun, if it were not for my Thai partner, I am not sure I'd be in Thailand so much. I love the place. But, I have grown to desire the peace and quiet and I can do that anywhere. I purchased a retirement home in Utah many years back and I see myself there one day. It was between there and Palm Springs and I found a great deal on a place and purchased it. I have rented it for years and it is now almost paid off so it would be easy to just move in and read books and have fun with the cute local Mormon boys. However, it would be so much more work there than in Thailand.3 points

For my November trip, I will spend the first week end in Sao Paulo discovering the boys in Lagoa and going to ABC Bailao hopefully with a BF to be found in specialized sites where boys look for coroas (older gentlemen). I met many BF this way. All boys I met this way had a very good level of education (ie one was studying to become a lawyer and is now lawyer in Rio, another is going to be soon a surgeon, another one is working as Project Manager for an international consulting firm ...). All of them were going to La Cueva (or ABC Bailao in SP). It is a very different relationship than with GP : they genuinely like coroas and it is so pleasant to be loved genuinely by a 25/30 years old guy, of course no money is involved. And since they have a good level of education, conversation is much more interesting than with most GP. I will spend the weekdays in Rio. I decided not to go to Porto Alegre since there is not much to be done during the day and during weekdays, sauna Mezzaninu is sometimes very weak. Not sure it changed since there are not so many recent reports on POA (since Tomcal is no longer going there)3 points

I sent him WhatsApp too. The guy seemed lazy to type, so he replied with a voice message. Of course that doesn't work for non Spanish speakers like me.2 points

It is a late night (after11:00)kinda sleezy bar in downtown about 3 blocks from the Bourbon hotel. It has dancers on stage, guys hanging around the bathroom doors and a dark room! The time i was there several months ago there were about 12-15 hustlers working. even if you are staying at one of the many hotels near by take a taxi or uber to there and back! R. Frederico Abranches, 29 - Santa Cecília, São Paulo - SP, 01225-001, Brazil! the photo shows it during the day when the roll up doors are down!2 points

I had a gastric sleeve done at Bumrungrad in December 2017. I thought others might like to hear my experience. First, I spent a lot of time researching and talking to my doctor. He recommended a surgeon for me and I met with him. I liked him and we set a date for the preoperative procedures which included sending a camera down my throat and heart exam, etc. The throat exam was done under anesthesia and thus I remember nothing. But, all the doctors I met with signed off on the procedure so it was a go. The cost for the surgery was estimated at 650,000-700,000 Thai-Baht which included 4 nights in the hospital. The procedure itself took 2 hours. I was in the post op room for 2 more hours and then in my room. The doctors and nurses took great care of me in the room. The first night was very uncomfortable but not a great deal of pain. They did have me on pain killers. It was hard to sleep though although I felt I got more sleep in those 4 days than ever in my life. I had two doctors that checked in on me daily. The nurses were never more than one minute away if I pressed the button. They were professional and the room was great. I opted for a single room and it had a table and chairs and a sofa. It allowed me to move from my bed to different places in the room during the day to sit and read email, etc. The hospital Internet was great and never went down. The food was very bland as I was on an all liquid diet but that was expected. When the doctor released me, I felt fine and no pain. I had to go back to the doctor two times the first week to have the stitches removed and get checked. All was good and after those two visits, I was told to come back in one month. They put me on an all liquid diet and it has been fine. After 2 weeks of surgery I lost 25 pounds. Last week was the 4 month mark and I have lost 100 pounds since December. It has been an easy transition and much easier than I expected. I had little pain and little discomfort after a week or two. I have adjusted to real food but smaller portions. I am now swimming one hour per day and it has been healthy for me. I walk much better and am so much more active. My sex drive is up and I decided to start PrEP as there are just too many sexy Thai guys that need my assistance. My pants sizes are down and I feel better than I have in many years. It was a very good gamble for me to get the surgery. I am quite happy with the results. I can't express how much I recommend Bumrungrad. If others are interested in the doctor's name, PM me and I'll be happy to share. He not only did a great job but he made it easier than expected and I have had 3 friends use him and all had excellent experiences.1 point

The LA Times today selected 22-year old Noah Centineo as "this summer's new teen heartthrob." The actor will star in 2 summer movies. On August 17th, the movie "To All The Boys I Have Loved Before" debuts. Far as I can tell, it is not a gay love story. Girls do fall in love with boys after all. Then on September 7th we get "Sierra Burgess Is Not A Loser." (Although the film may be!) Mr. Centineo is pictured below (on the right.) Of course he does, he has an account. Before he got an account he could not see any ad. It would only take a 10th of @mvan1‘s brain power to figure that out. PlanetRomeo/hunqs is the largest escort ad site in continental Europe, so when I come to the Europe thread, I always expect to find links to hunqs. if they don’t want to open an account, they are loosing out on most European escorts. Maybe they are not actually able to hire in Europe? In which case everything in the Europe forum is useless to them anyway.1 point -

I can’t imagine an attractive sauna guy would be interested in 30 real tricks when they can make 4 times that at Lagoa or Fragata. The time I went I did not see a single sauna guy there...of course every night is different. Bar Fama is in an area known as crackolandia. Many of the guys are noticeably high. I did see one confrontation between a hustler and a client. The hustler was yelling something in a clients face and it looked like he might attack him. The client looked terrified. PopeFrancis is shocked that a hustler would sell himself for 30 reals, but guess what the cost of crack is in crackolandia? If you guessed 30 reals you would probably be right. I’m not saying you couldn’t have a good time there, just tread carefully..1 point -

You are hanging with the wrong group! lol All of my Brazilian friends know it they just never mentioned it to me because they thought i wouldn’t be interested! after i mentioned it to two of them after hearing about it from Mvan they went “oh yeah we will take you tomorrow night!”. one observation, i was there on a Saturday night and there were 3 or 4 guys that looked like sauna guys not “skinny rough trade”, and while i would say most were smoking pot or something else there were a couple of guys that we’re fairly hot guys!1 point -

Yes, taking it up the ass from Putin is setting a high bar. I wish all Presidents were so willing to bottom for Russians, or at least for someone. I think once you get fucked in the ass, you look at the world from a whole new perspective. Wouldn't you agree?1 point

I am not super impressed by the pictures I am receiving. The voice messages speak of special events, a dancing show by 4 boys, a barbecue, it seems to be more than a regular whore house. Perhaps they are doing well and decided an upgrade of the operation?1 point -

This is why Medellin needs a little preparation before a trip, preferably connecting with guys on Chaterbate. There are swarms of hot looking guys in Medellin more than willing to have sex with men but connecting with them is hard. The trade on the block of hustler bars is not too good looking. Club Tobi is large and many good looking guys but since there are only 2 or 3 masseurs working on a certain day, if they don't meet your preference it can be hard. In Bogota there are plenty of masseurs in all the saunas but few good looking, twice Medellin rates, and not much sex.1 point -

Rio 8/28-9/3 ... first time since 2008 ..... sauna advice please
floridarob reacted to mvan1 for a topic
Not much has changed since your last visit in 2008, ten years ago. However, Pointe 202 is currently more active and often has many good looking garotos available. Most garotos and clients now have smart phones that were not so popular when you were last in Brazil. That should make communicating with the garotos easier if you know how to use a translator (assuming that you do not speak Portuguese). Also, getting around in Rio is about the same for using the metro but you now have Uber which is quite reliable and convenient and less expensive than cabs. Other than for the city being a little more dangerous than it was ten years ago, you will like the place.1 point -
Sao Paolo v. Río de Janeiro ... Newbie
floridarob reacted to Latindude for a topic
Well, I used to think like that, but I am chaging my mind... I just visited Lagoa today and it was a total disappointment, few boys and none that I liked, it was the same last time I visited.... at 117 in Rio I never leave with empty hands (or with my pocket still full lol). I am a very proud Paulista, but I if you are looking for the sauna scene my recommendation is Rio.1 point -

It was a request from his parents (who weren't the sharpest knives in the drawer). But it was Wally's favorite song and they thought he would like it played at his funeral. I talked it over with the minister who was going to conduct the service. He was equally shocked. Together we talked to the parents and suggested the Navy Hymn might be more appropriate since he died on active duty and was buried in his uniform. Thankfully, they agreed.1 point

So far, 7 months in and now 133 pounds lost. Still, a long way to go but happy to be headed in the right direction. Not much of a change in lifestyle other than more exercise and less food per meal. However, I just go over Dengue Fever and that took me out for over a week.1 point
