I now live in Atlanta but my office is still based in Manhattan. Although I sure wouldn't mind being retired, alas, I’m not even semi-retired yet. But like you, mvan, I am established enough in my field of work and high enough on the hierarchal organizational chain to NOT have to request a few days off here and there and just settle for long weekend visits to our getaway place of choice. Also, in 2018, many of us can and do work or communicate with the office or clients remotely from anywhere in the world with just a high-speed internet connection. For some, it may be hard to understand that some people who are not fully retired are able to live like this — maybe that’s because that’s all they know. Personally, I didn’t make all of these gains and sacrifices just to wait until retirement age to have the kind of time off from the office that anyone in Europe would get. My first trip to Brazil was not Rio, not São Paulo — but Salvador da Bahia. And it was for nine days. What did I do for 9 days in Salvador? Any fucking thing I wanted! And sometimes, I chose to do nothing — which was exhilarating in its own sense. Even my friends who would join me from other parts of the USA wouldn’t stay any shorter than 6-7 days. i have never done a trip to Brazil that was less than that 9-day trip. My longest thus far has been 5 weeks. For me, anythibg ij Braxil is just not a weekend type of a trip. Maybe it’s another YMMV topic, or maybe it’s just a socioeconomic issue or issue of money, but if there are people who do fly to Brazil to do short stays in Rio, São Paulo, Salvador or any other Brazilian city, they certainly are not in my circle.3 points -

Unfortunately we did not ask when we were there last April. Maybe you can have luck contacting Theatron on their Facebook or Instagram? Maybe not ask them if their dancers are hireable per se, but maybe ask them for the model's personal Instagram pages, and then ask the models there. I did ask my guys if any of the strippers were hireable, and both said maybe not. They even remembered one of the dancers not wanting to be touched while dancing, so they said maybe that's a sign. I looked in my camera roll and found some evidence of it: But they told me that they could ask them personally if they were back in Theatron. So maybe you can find a local hire to do some investigation for you while you are there. Since I was looking at my photos of the Theatron strippers anyway, I decided to turn some of the iPhone live photos into GIFS for your pleasure: Enjoy Theatron! Let us know how you get by. I'll be back in Medellin in a few weeks. I'll report my findings.3 points -

You're very kind. It was more a rant on the poor choices forum owners have when it comes to selecting software programs. One of the main reasons I decided to end my pursuit of creating my own board, the cost of custom software would have required a steep registration fee to break even on the start-up. The cheap queens at Daddy's complained when I proposed a mere $5 fee to help squash the troll problem. You can imagine how they would have felt about paying $150. And even at that price, you needed 1000+ sign-ups before seeing a penny of profit. And who would pay for the coding maintenance? I guess if I have one regret in life, it's that I didn't major in computer science and coding. My brain doesn't love this shit, but I've come to learn I hate bad, in-artful coding more. Yes, and Daddy should have paid me for all the financial/managing advice I gave him. He eventually took my advice and greatly improved his board but he'll never admit it openly. He once said he would never take "donations," and look how that went. Whenever there's a call-out for more donations, I always question whether the username belongs to deej. On the other hand, I do give him props for throwing me a bone once. It was a very generous act of kindness. You may not remember this Adam, but there was a time when the popular troll thing to do over there was accuse me of double posting (ie: multiple usernames). According to some trolls, I had 10-20 different names. Certain desperate trolls still love making that claim. I hate trolls and their troll games, as you well know, and I hated the fact that deej was allowed to be an admin troll. I suspected that deej was several of the trolls hounding me, but I couldn't prove it without access to Daddy's Control Panel. Well, one day, much to my surprise, Daddy took me up on my invite to do an IP search, and he wrote on the board that there was "no evidence that I was double posting." I knew Daddy knew his way around his Control Panel, and I knew if he had the courage to say something, he had the power to put the trolls in their proper head-up-the-asshole place. And for awhile it worked. I love crushing trolls, and I'll always be grateful to Daddy for that gift. I never forget this level of generosity. Credit where credit is due.2 points -
Actually in the US, they don't, unless I agree to it. Agreeing to it generally means flying in the clouds where some entity needs to provide separation. However, using computers, even this is forecast to be returned to the cockpit (as opposed to ground controllers). Best regards, RA1 Of course, Federal Air Regulations must be observed for the safety of all. However, there is a lot of airspace in the US where you can just take off and go without even having a radio on board. Restricted areas include busy airports, Washington, DC, above 18,000 feet and a few others. Flying from Oxford, MS to say Batesville, MS on a pretty day involves just going. No talking, no permission, no nothing. Best regards, RA12 points

"Maybe for somebody retired" - - - - or for someone who has enough money to travel when and where they want for as long as they want. You said that you go to Rio for long weekends. I believe you formerly said you live in Atlanta. Delta Airlines has non stop flights to Rio from Atlanta. So, for you, it is a simple "long week end" trip - non stop Atlanta to Rio is only about eight hours. Not so bad. Others are not so fortunate to have a relatively short non stop flight to Brazil. Many others live on the west coast or in the mid west and their journey is often twenty hours or more each way. When one travels that many hours on a plane, a "long weekend" is often not sufficient. It depends on the person, of course. "What does one do for 12 - 13 days? " It depends on one's interests. There are lots of things to do both during the day and night in Brazil. Like I said, it depends on one's interests. I notice that time goes by in a blink while I am in Brazil.2 points -

People that retire to Thailand should know the requirements and weigh them. I think the 90-day reporting is nuts. But, it one day out of 90 so not too bad for most of my friends that live in Thailand. Things are by far often difficult to deal with but the life is also so much better than most places to retire. Great medical care is easily abundant and you can find most Western things in Thailand very easily. Plus, there are plentiful boys and I have never once felt unsafe in Thailand no matter what city I go to. I have been with my BF for 14 years. I have always been fully welcomed by everyone and that spans the gambit of social circles. I think there are pros and cons to living here. The government has not really affected daily life for many. They could make it easier and I did hear that the 90-day reporting may be able to be done online in the future. I am not sure how accurate that is. Foreigners can't own land but they can own a condo. However, I would never purchase one as you just never know if the laws are going to change. And, yes, the laws can change in the blink of an eye so I would just avoid purchasing anything. However, I have friends that have condos for over 20 years and never an issue. I have many friends who buy land in the name of their Thai partner and they put things in their name. I have done that in the past and it is something I am fine with as I would want it to go to my partner anyway should things change in my life. All that said, like Kjun, if it were not for my Thai partner, I am not sure I'd be in Thailand so much. I love the place. But, I have grown to desire the peace and quiet and I can do that anywhere. I purchased a retirement home in Utah many years back and I see myself there one day. It was between there and Palm Springs and I found a great deal on a place and purchased it. I have rented it for years and it is now almost paid off so it would be easy to just move in and read books and have fun with the cute local Mormon boys. However, it would be so much more work there than in Thailand.1 point

Not to sound like a broken record (it seems like many of us often repeat the same stories for different posters), but one of my travel buddies is very overweight. He’s about 6’2” and I’d guess 360 - 385. He never has a problem finding pay boys and sauna boys whenever we travel. I am sure he pays a little more than me, baded on what I heard from gossipy garotos — but he doesn’t care and neither do I. The point is he enjoys himself. I do know that he would be happier at s smaller, healthier weight, but that’s his struggle, and we all have our demons. And my friend isn’t older. He is probably early 40s (being that size concerns me for him because I had another obese friend who died in his sleep when his heart stopped at the age of 41). Please note: my friend, like the above mentioned Paco, has money and he is willing to spend it on what he wants. Don’t be foolish, an obese poor (or stingy) person is not going to get the red carpet treatment with hot, younger, built guys — not even if they smile and laugh and are always the fat jolly life of the party (though it does help to be nice). Regarding old age, if you’re older and sexy, or older and monied, or preferably both — no problem. Denzel Washington is in his 60s. Sean Connery can probably still get it. Again, with the economics, if you’re old, fat and poor (or just stingy with the retirement check), don’t expect young hot garotos or trophy boys to be lining up for you.1 point -
The NY Times today reports on the new Blu-Ray DVD of the film Buddies, first shown at the Castro Theater in San Francisco in 1985. Its director, Arthur J. Bressan, Jr., made the film without knowing that he had the AIDS virus. He died in July, 1987. The film has two actors, Geoff Edholm, 32 at the time, played a gay man dying of AIDS. David Schacter played a 25-year old volunteer who became a buddy to Edholm's character. Edholm died of AIDS in 1989. Although I lived in San Francisco throughout the horrific days of the AIDS crisis, I did not see the movie. It never came out on video, and, as the times article points out, few wanted to go from caring for people with AIDS to seeing a movie about it. I hope that I never forget those days. The community was closer than it has ever been. Fernando responded with his tour offerings. I will hire him for a walk in the Pelourinho, and for a night of Samba in the beach. I am asking for clarification about his combos. He has some tours described as to experience the real every day life in Bahia, things like a Favela tour, and the African market tour, and you can combine them. I told him I am gay and would appreciate it if he gives a gay touch to all his itineraries.1 point -
I totally agree. The Fogo de Chao restaurant in Rio is in Botafogo. Service, Food, Drinks, Atmosphere, Scenery, everything is perfect. It is quite expensive for Rio. With the buddy I travel, we like going there after a session in a sauna to ... recover. Since it is a chain, there are others in other cities in Brazil and 10 or 12 in the US.1 point

Paco(as In Paco Raban)had his main home in the Canary islands and came from a Very Wealthy Spanish family. He always had a entourage of 3 bodyguards, a couple of middle age friends, a drag queen or two, always at least 8+ people. He was often at the table next to the group I was with at Corujinhas many times from about 2003 to 2006 or 7. You are right he was at least 400+ lbs. and I remember the restaurant who put 3 of the plastic chairs stacked on top of each other so they support his weight! I never figured out how he got up the stairs at Pointed because the stairway is now wide enough to have a guy on either side of him...he died about 9 years ago. now, I always thought one of his bodyguards was hot. I am not typically attracted to bodybuilder guys but there are always exceptions and after seeing this guy over 2 years I finally got to meet him when "paco" was back in the Canary Islands and this bodyguard stayed in Rio. I can't remember where I ran into him, it was one of the gay clubs probably LeBoy We met up several more times over the next year. He did several films where he was always the top but in his non screen career he was a bttm. Somewhere I have a link to one of his videos with "Diego" who many know and who is a regular at 1171 point -

Not much has changed since your last visit in 2008, ten years ago. However, Pointe 202 is currently more active and often has many good looking garotos available. Most garotos and clients now have smart phones that were not so popular when you were last in Brazil. That should make communicating with the garotos easier if you know how to use a translator (assuming that you do not speak Portuguese). Also, getting around in Rio is about the same for using the metro but you now have Uber which is quite reliable and convenient and less expensive than cabs. Other than for the city being a little more dangerous than it was ten years ago, you will like the place.1 point -

You forgot to mention that it was raining heavily in Sao Paulo today and tonight which kept clients and garotos away from Lagoa. You just happen to catch bad weather. Rain and cold often have an enormous negative affect on clients and garotos going out to the saunas. If you go again when it is not raining or cold, you will most likely have a great time at Lagoa.1 point -

Sadly my experience in Colombia has been sauna- and rent boys from Grindr-free. All my experience is with Chaturbate models from Day 1. So I do not have any wisdom to share about these establishments, even if I've been to Colombia so many times now. But I wanted to add here my experience in Santa Marta from last weekend. Santa Marta is a one of the major cities along the Colombian Caribbean coastline. Its way less full of western tourists than the more developed Cartagena, but really popular with locals and Venezuelans so you get a different experience. Some points: 1. It was the Festival of the Sea (Fiesta del Mar) in Santa Marta last weekend, and I was there with 2 of my regular Chaturbate buddies (who are boyfriends in real life and on screen), who met me at the Barranquilla airport, which is a good 2 hours from Santa Marta, but has way more flights to it than the smaller Santa Marta airport, therefore it is cheaper to fly into. We Uber'ed it from the airport to the closest bus station, which was with a company called Berlinas. The ticket to Santa Marta was $5 per person, and it was a comfortable 2-hour ride to the Santa Marta Berlinas station: 2. There are two main destinations for beaches in the Santa Marta area. One is Rodadero beach, which is located south of Santa Marta proper, and its probably the less hectic and more picturesque of the main beaches: 3. The main beach is by the Bahia area in Santa Marta, which is busier but noticed more locals than tourists, which is good for window shopping for local eye candy: 4. Since it was super hot and humid almost all the time here (apart from the occasional showers), the boys are also usually sin ropa: 5. Since it is Colombia, you'll also find a lot of entertainers in streets. breakdancing hotties, for example: 6. During the special weekend I was here, there were a lot of parades. One of them was a parade of Marines from various latin american countries (Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru etc), and therefore the town was filled with good looking fit and young marines celebrating with everyone: At night, the main parade, Desfile del Mar, was at least a 7 hour parade that went from the afternoon to night: 7. As far as gay establishments are concerned, I do not know if there are any saunas here. But bear in mind that Santa Marta is just 2 hours from Barranquilla, a city that has at least 5 Chaturbate/Cam 4 studios (that I know of). My model buddies had two best friends, also Chaturbate models, who also made the journey to Santa Marta this weekend as well, to escort. They told me that from time to time, models in Barranquilla usually take the bus to either Cartagena or Santa Marta to take advantage of the presence of the tourists in those cities, in the hopes of scoring some needed cash. They usually charge $25-$40 a session, which will usually pay for a night in their motel and their meals and passage for the day. Multiple customers make the trip worthwhile. At the very least, one customer makes the trip break even for them, so at least they get a trip out of it, instead of being stuck in the more inland Barranquilla. Snagging more customers meant extending their stay and living the beach life. They use Grindr mainly to ply their wares. Since I was with my two Chaturbate buddies (who are territorial and don't share me with anyone), I could not sample what was on offer that weekend, but my Grindr blew up anyway. There were just too many boys on Grindr looking, either free or paid. It was a virtual smorgasbord: 8. Speaking of gay establishments, the only gay club in town is "Voltage" a decent open-air dance club with a runway in the middle of the dance floor. There was a cover on a Saturday night ($4.50), and the music was the usual reggaeton and gay pop music that Colombians love, which was fine by me. My Chaturbate buddies invited the two other Chaturbate best friends along to go with us, after all their escorting duties were over of course (11 PM). The two guys paid for all our covers (it was a lucrative day for one of them), and I offered to pay for the drinks (seems fair). We opted to sit in the "VIP" section which was on an elevated platform overlooking the dance floor, which to me seemed a perfectly comfortable way to spend the night in. We were greeted by the drag queen (trans) in residence, with a waiter in tow, and she explained to us how it worked in the club, and what was in store for us that night. We came at a good night it seems. And our waiter who waited on us the whole night was hot: I paid $55 for a bottle of Buchanan's deluxe and some Coca Colas to wash it down, and surprisingly it was more than enough for the 5 of us for the night: It was a good night because the place was packed, and it was the coronation of Miss Trans Santa Marta that night as well: I'll say that this VIP section was a good idea, because it looked crowded down below with the masses, and up here we had the luxury of sitting in comfy sofas and talk without shouting. It was a good vantage point for the ceremonies as well, with the contestants and judges talking to us while the contest was going on: The main drag queen for the night, Kassidy, sat and drank with us and shot the shit. She was uber cool: Incidentally there was a gaggle of Chaturbate models with their boss in one of the tables that night. Since I already knew the boss I asked our waiter to get them a cheap whiskey bottle on me ($20). I scored brownie points on that one. Will collect on this favor later We left around 4 AM, with festivities still pretty much ongoing when we left. 9. Lots of AirBNB options for the area, and the one I chose had a king bed big enough for me and two chaturbate models. The building we stayed at didn't seem to mind letting the two other models in with the three of us, and all 5 of us were able to enjoy the two rooftop pools in the building. Overall Santa Marta is fun, but I would recommend it only if you are already in Barranquilla looking for a diversion, or visiting Tayrona National Park (fabulous by the way, a must visit). If hiring boys is a priority, lots to choose from on Grindr, mostly cam boys, but there are superior offerings in Cartagena, which is 4 hours away, and of course in Medellin and Bogota. The more choice boys along the Colombian Caribbean prefer whoring in Cartagena because there are more gringos there, but justifiably they will charge a little more because it costs more to stay there for the boys. However, I maintain that there are more choice free boys in Barranquilla in general, relative to Colombia, for some reason. Haven't had my Grindr blow up so much in Barranquilla.1 point

When your doctor tells you that the sauna/steam room is no longer safe for your heart. Weight in the southern hemisphere does not share the same relevance with the north. I've met quite a few fit, gorgeous young men who adore their XXL guys. There are many benefits to carrying less weight as we age. Attraction is a very personal, individual thing. One can never know when the sparks might fly. There is this homely-looking gay guy in his 50's, a member at my gym, with a super small cock and balls. I've seen him there for over a decade. He has no worked-out body. I think he may come for yoga class. I see him hook-up all the time in the shower area with some pretty good-looking guys. I have no idea what the attraction is, but clearly, the guy has something to offer. I'm not a fan of being deluded, but I am a fan of leaving the door open to possibility. If your eyes and smile say "sweet, lovable and sexy," I imagine a lot can come of it, no matter what size you are.1 point -

I tend to choose my health care professionals at least in part based on how attractive they are. I do have some other requirements (not too old out of fear they aren't up on current health care practices, but also not fresh out of school with no practical experience; for example). I had to choose a new PCP about 7-8 years ago and found a doctor met all of my criteria, including being reasonably attractive (the site I use, Zocdoc, includes pics). It turned out that he sounds like Elmer Fudd. (I'm not exaggerating either...) Well, ideally I only had to see him once a year so I stayed with him as my PCP for about 3 years until he moved. The one I picked after him has no personality. I just chose a new PCP. The selection was pretty sparse when factoring in level of attractiveness and that ranking ended up falling lower on my scale of important factors this time around. lol His ratings seem consistently high so hopefully he'll turn out to be pretty good. Now, my dentist was recommended to me by a friend solely because he's gay. He's not really my type but he's fairly attractive and very skilled. He's been my dentist for about 8 years or so. However, he recently hired a new hygienist. Holy sh!t - he is freaking hot! He can poke around in my mouth as long as he wants! When I made the appointment for my next cleaning, I guess it happened to be on this guy's day of the week rather than the other hygienist's (50+ yo woman) I'm used to. The receptionist asked if I minded the new guy again. I was melting inside but tried to remain calm and replied "Oh, that's fine. I don't care." Not that anything is going to happen between me and any of these healthcare professionals, but it sure makes me look forward to my next visit.1 point
