It's so nice to see couples traveling together in search of sex. It takes a strong relationship to do that, I think. But it does work, I know.

The OP specifically asked for cities other than Salvador and Porto Alegre. Not to sound like a broken record (I posted this very same info before), but the two big(ger) rentboy saunas in Salvador are Planetario and Sauna Fox. Olympus is still around but is touch and go with substandard facilities, and never seems to have a big selection (of either garotos or clients). There is also a new sauna closer to the airport in Itapua called Clube 13 that has boys. I haven’t been there yet so I can’t provide any reviews.

Oh, I don't know. They look about equal to me. Gotta give James some props. He is close to being the male version of Lena Dunham. Talented. Reasonably attractive face. At times funny. Not afraid to show naked body, well almost. Not many straight men in Hollywood would have the guts to do what James does for a laugh. But, then again. James has quite a bit of guts.

If you have an evening free, I highly recommend the folk ballet in Pelourinho. One of my favorite memories of Salvador.

Fernando is openly gay. He will do a night life tour (gay or straight) if you just ask. He will also do a sauna tour if you feel you need one. A bit of a heads up: Salvador gay nightlife isn’t Rio’s or São Paulo’s nightlife. There may be only one mainstream gay club or bar still in existence. If you’re not in the know with locals from the various hoods, your nighttime experience will probably be (and should be) restricted to mainstream well-traveled places.

For those of you who have never been to Samba school practices or parties....you are missing out... Samba schools and events centered around samba have some of the sexiest local dudes in Rio... You get some incredible culture, can try some local food and learn hang out with locals... People are very friendly and welcoming, you will have an incredible time and may meet a non pay guy(I have some great pictures of local guys from the samba schools)..especially if you speak some Portuguese.... Fernando could clue you in on all of the gay happenings in Bahia. I did not use his services when I was last there because my now deceased gay travel agent had booked Josuel for me, an equally professional and personable guide/individual. On two occasions he, Josuel, asked me if I had wanted to go to any saunas. I declined-- for I was saving myself and R$'s for the guys in Rio de janeiro. * In the meantime I did connect with Fernando via emails and on his FB page. Two friends of mine did seek and engage his services and were indeed pleased. To date when one has asked me about a guide in Salvador (Bahia), Brazil-- I recommend him as SolaceSoul had relayed in a previous post here. * Once I've learned about saunas in an area- I usually have taken myself there; I've used my guide for cultural ventures which entailed a meal or two; I've been quite pleased and satisfied in the end. Whenever I do return to Bahia- I'll definitely seek out the expertise of Fernando. * Might I suggest that you send him a message on his Facebook page if you have specific queries and if you are interested in his services. My last visit goes back 30 months and I tried out the two steadies at the time on only a few select days due to a busy sights schedule, and knowing I would have weeks of down time elsewhere in Brasil where the gay brothels are plentiful. I find the variables that correlate most with a satisfying time are luck and serene acceptance of reality. Other forum members have different criteria, eg, population density, discounts. The new 13 has minimal info on the WWW, in spite of apparently opening May 2017. The paucity of reviews and the recent name change (new ownership?) perhaps do not augur well. Many working guys would have to invest a lot of local bus travel time to get there. Fox was rather a long hike and I did not find what I wanted. Clube 11 (at the time P11) was conveniently nearby and consistently yielded more programas than I could keep up with. [correction previous post: privacy wall (not walk)]

Take note that the new Thermas Club 13 is pinned incorrectly in Google Maps, basically in a dodgier section. However, it was called Blue Space Club in the Spring, and is pinned correctly under that name. So no need to have a driver go unnecessarily east to swing north and take the club's street one-way west. You can just get out at the new Hotel Diamante or Villa Bahiana restaurant at the corner. You will not see 13 clearly on Streetview because the bldg has been renovated and the pink privacy walk erected since Google Maps' latest iteration. With luck, 11, Fox, and 13 will prove to be a productive trifecta.

I am not sure, I do not have a budget for market research and I do not have much feedback. The few people who did reach out to give me their opinions were always positive and highlighting that the information is fun and useful. I know it is not because of my poor English. I guess it helps that the blog has been up for almost 13 months, and now may be an interesting data base for some topics, specially escorting. It helps that both, Daddy and TotallyOz, owners of the two best established communities of our subculture, have been extremely supportive and generous. It helps that I have now an online presence of about 4/5 years, and a lot of people trust me. I think I have improved my writing if you compare the first posts to the last ones. I I will weigh in on this thread anyway, though it also now straddles another thread. Everything is quite spread out, and transit across the vast spaces will require taxis or Über ... the latter is quite cheap. But if you are organized, Clube 11 might best follow a day in Pelourinho. If you are OK not going directly back to the Barra hotel. There is not much to see in the central part of Pituba, but the large high-end shopping complex n/w of Fox was pleasant to stroll and grab a bite in the massive food court prior to hitting Fox. Also not too far from Praia Pituba and from Praia Amaralina that is apparently known for local fare food kiosks particularly weekends. The new club, 13, is quite a way out but situated at about the 12th of the string of beaches running the Atlantic coast east of Barra. It might make sense, activity-wise, to fold in a beach visit and possibly the Itapuã lighthouse nearby. This new venue with GPs might be well-suited to beach vacay lovers who have already seen the popular cultural sights and may also be predisposed to hosting eye-candy at the shore. Otherwise, it amounts to at least 25-30 km return travel from most other zones.

Remember it's winter time in Brasil! I have an acquaintance visiting there now (July). ...don't see too many persons on the beach. Brasil's economy and political system are in the pits nowadays as well.

Sorry, but you lost me at, "He had a Clark Kent look..." Clark Kent does nothing for me. Very rare for me to be sexually attracted to a dark-haired man. But perhaps this thread is not about me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is well documented fact that the more attractive your face (and body), the more chances and opportunities you'll have. But everyone blessed with wisdom knows that physical beauty is fleeting. Life is short enough. Youthful beauty is much shorter. Still, since I'm a visual guy, I love looking at a true beauty. However, beauty is absolutely no indication that the sex will be fun or hot. Many good looking guys are jerks. No matter how handsome they are, I wouldn't want to share the company of a jerk one minute longer than necessary.

I guess if by locals , you mean ex pats then certainly that could be true . Certainly not true from real locals. One of differences between Brazil and Thailand. In Brazil most of the customers are really locals.

Cartagena is so lovely but it seems far more guys are available in bogota and Medellin. Personally I’d go to Medellin and Cartagena to get both big city living and coastal resort. Barranquilla is pretty big but isn’t that charming if your time is limited. Santa Marta is lovely too! Tayrona Park is very nearby. But there aren as many guys to choose from. It’s more of a take a guy there type of place. I’m not sure about clubs as it’s been a few years. I do know there is a new gay strip club in bogota called gigalo erotic house. Or something like that. They have strippers and on fridays sex shows. I’m not sure if the dancers are also hustling on the side but it looks fun to check out.

Poor Bucky, what was the point in your presenting this sad example of a confused gay guy? After watching his video and hearing what he had to say (ramble) it is clear that the guy is misguided. Is that how you think, too?

Recife has 3, possibly 4, saunas with working boys: Blue Thermas, Sauna Progresso and Termas Boa Vista. The 4th is Termas 111, but I have not yet visited it, and I’m not so sure how well visited it is. I heard it is not well visited, by either clients or working boys. Fortaleza has 2 saunas with garotos: California and Dragon. Both are busy. Dragon is newer.

I was just checking that. Apparently is about 40 bucks. I am going to make my final decision this week end, and start making reservations afterwards. I am excited. I always wanted to know Afrobrazil, and it is happening!

I would skip Florinopolis as far as the sauna scene goes! there is only one rent boy sauna, if it is still opened and never had more then a couple guys in there. Also you are going during the Brazilian winter which in Florinaopolis is cold and the town slows way down! it is a tourist city from November to March! But worth a visit just not for the sauna scene! Curitiba is a pretty city that also has snow in the winter as it is i think at 5,000 ft elevation, 2 saunas, one is ok but not worth going to Curitiba specifically for the sauna you will be disappointed compared to Rio or SP, imho Porto Alegre is my favorite sauna physically, and can be very good or very bad, just depends on the night! Mixx Bar is a favorite place of mine because it is like(and the last)old fashioned hustler bar around! 1/2 the guys in there will be guys from the sauna that didn’t make any money earlier and 1/2 are just local guys looking for some cash for the weekend. there are 3 rooms scattered around the bar you can rent for a 1/2 hour, i would not recommend taking Bar Mixx guys back to your hotel as they probably wouldn’t get by security.

I love Hillary but it is not her run. I don't know who they will pick. But, let's be honest, anyone they pick would be better than Trump. Hell, I'd even vote for Bernie and I don't support him. Heck, I'd even vote for a dummy as he would be 10x smarter than Trump or his supporters.
