I've been to 512 2or3times, the last one around 5 years ago, very different from Rio-SP in a sense there was no drag-queens to be seen, not even a stage anywhere, just internet music in the background, surprisingly a good channel playng 70's classics (surprising because in Brazil the choices are always horrible, either terrible Brazilian music or horrible international techno-trance shit- yes, music is a deal-breaker for me). The place is small compared to Rio-SP, a dozen working boys at peak time and a hit or miss situation. I was in Curitiba for other reasons, not in a sex-exploration trip and I don't think is worth going out-o the way, unless one is in Brazil for months, with an unlimited supply of money and have seen too much of everything else. As Tomcal suggested, I would also skip Florianopolis, unless you are a knock-out (which you probably aren't) capable to entice the adorable eye candy all over the place for a free sex session. Too bad they are not on the saunas cause there are no saunas to be. I would be more selective in Brazil sex-scene out of the axis Rio-SP-Porto Alegre. Maybe Belo -Horizonte (where I have never been but there are a lot of garotos from there in other saunas). Salvador and other northern cities are an acquired taste both sex-wise and culturally.

The best sauna for foreigners is probably "24". There are several locations, but the best is the Shinjuku location. Ueno is pretty good too. I've had lot's of fun at both. The one in Shinjuku is just soooo conveniently located. in the heart of the gayest area in Tokyo! haha I've never used King of College but I used Tokyo Kids once. The guy who was working the entrance spoke English and he was available, but I ended up choosing another guy. I went in prepared and had a few of my wants/likes translated so my expectations for the encounter were relatively clear. Being able to communicate is nice but I wasn't there for conversation either! I recommend KOC or Tokyo Kids if you're short on time or if you are after something specific and you don't want to waste time. Otherwise, going to 24 (or another sauna) or using an app like Grindr will be more rewarding. You might have to do some "hunting" but you will have a lot of fun. 24 has a lot of variety (Japanese bears as well as twinks, younger and older guys, along with many foreigners), plus you have the shower and steam rooms, group rooms and private rooms (those cost more though). The group rooms have open spaces, which can be fun and even lead to orgies, but there are "bunk bed" style play areas in the group rooms that offer a little more privacy - not so much on the top but the bottom bunks are very dark. I can't comment on Kyoto. I only did a day trip there from Osaka to enjoy the sights.

I did my best to make full use of my time. Thought I'd share my experience to thank other posters here for their advice on my other visits scheduled for this trip. arena massage - older mostly muscled guys. Probably unfair, but felt to me like these guys were truckers or construction workers. If you like them a bit rough, this would work for you. I'm more of a face guy myself so didn't find much that suited me. One younger less muscled guy had, however, a megawatt smile. Jupiter 2018 - Went twice. Arrived just i time for the show the first night. Guys mostly like the college athlete types. The ripped abs were quite amazing. Show was very hoohum. They brought a woman up on stage and did a dance number of these two guys 'fighting' to grind on her. I am glad women are getting more sexually liberated, but it was a huge turn off for me and I left. Went back a couple nights later and picked a guy. turns out the guy was the prima donna I guess, since I was told that to off him would cost 5000 baht! Was told there were 2 boys like that among all the boys on stage. I guess if you can get it, you should, but I was having none of it and left. I'd also add that the layout of the bar is awful. The very large pillars obscure the view from a bunch of seats. Just not a well-designed place. If I were staying in town, I wouldn't be going back. Dreamboys - Hasn't changed since last time I was here like 6 or 7 years ago. first night I could have picked 4 or 5 guys. Had a good overnight with one for 3000. Second visit I spent too long picking and somebody else beat me to the guy I wanted. Oh well. Tawan - Also hasn't changed. Guys sitting around on their phones. Offed a Lao guy the last night I was in town. real muscle man, but needed to watch straight porn on his phone to perform. That' a first for me and a huge turn off. I get that these guys are mostly pretty straight, but I can't enjoy myself when they're that tuned out. I am staying near Senso Massage and will give them a try before I head to the airport. Also a shout out to siamroads.com. I booked two different guides to help show me around during the day, and both were good. I'd visited enough times that I didn't want to do the normal touristy things, but they helped me navigate the city, and were good companions during the day. If you're not that comfortable navigating, they're a good option. I'll be using one of their guides for my visit in Myanmar and will report on that later.

I would skip Florinopolis as far as the sauna scene goes! there is only one rent boy sauna, if it is still opened and never had more then a couple guys in there. Also you are going during the Brazilian winter which in Florinaopolis is cold and the town slows way down! it is a tourist city from November to March! But worth a visit just not for the sauna scene! Curitiba is a pretty city that also has snow in the winter as it is i think at 5,000 ft elevation, 2 saunas, one is ok but not worth going to Curitiba specifically for the sauna you will be disappointed compared to Rio or SP, imho Porto Alegre is my favorite sauna physically, and can be very good or very bad, just depends on the night! Mixx Bar is a favorite place of mine because it is like(and the last)old fashioned hustler bar around! 1/2 the guys in there will be guys from the sauna that didn’t make any money earlier and 1/2 are just local guys looking for some cash for the weekend. there are 3 rooms scattered around the bar you can rent for a 1/2 hour, i would not recommend taking Bar Mixx guys back to your hotel as they probably wouldn’t get by security.

So... As I shared above, when we went with Randisan to the "telo", both of my CCs were rejected and I ended paying cash. Well, today I arrived back home and found a message from the Anti Fraud division of my Visa. That hotel tried to charge U$S 150,000. Yes, it is not a typo. I am wondering, are they very, very stupid scammers, or that old clerk did not know how to use the CC reader and unintentionally tried to charge that amount. Yangdon was fun, and I enjoyed my visits to Lime spa.
