Posted Today, 01:47 AM I have had a very short visit to Bangkok after deciding that I wanted to visit Myanmar, having never been (that cut my time in Bangkok). I did my best to make full use of my time. Thought I'd share my experience to thank other posters here for their advice on my other visits scheduled for this trip. arena massage - older mostly muscled guys. Probably unfair, but felt to me like these guys were truckers or construction workers. If you like them a bit rough, this would work for you. I'm more of a face guy myself so didn't find much that suited me. One younger less muscled guy had, however, a megawatt smile. Jupiter 2018 - Went twice. Arrived just i time for the show the first night. Guys mostly like the college athlete types. The ripped abs were quite amazing. Show was very hoohum. They brought a woman up on stage and did a dance number of these two guys 'fighting' to grind on her. I am glad women are getting more sexually liberated, but it was a huge turn off for me and I left. Went back a couple nights later and picked a guy. turns out the guy was the prima donna I guess, since I was told that to off him would cost 5000 baht! Was told there were 2 boys like that among all the boys on stage. I guess if you can get it, you should, but I was having none of it and left. I'd also add that the layout of the bar is awful. The very large pillars obscure the view from a bunch of seats. Just not a well-designed place. If I were staying in town, I wouldn't be going back. Dreamboys - Hasn't changed since last time I was here like 6 or 7 years ago. first night I could have picked 4 or 5 guys. Had a good overnight with one for 3000. Second visit I spent too long picking and somebody else beat me to the guy I wanted. Oh well. Tawan - Also hasn't changed. Guys sitting around on their phones. Offed a Lao guy the last night I was in town. real muscle man, but needed to watch straight porn on his phone to perform. That' a first for me and a huge turn off. I get that these guys are mostly pretty straight, but I can't enjoy myself when they're that tuned out. I am staying near Senso Massage and will give them a try before I head to the airport. Also a shout out to siamroads.com. I booked two different guides to help show me around during the day, and both were good. I'd visited enough times that I didn't want to do the normal touristy things, but they helped me navigate the city, and were good companions during the day. If you're not that comfortable navigating, they're a good option. I'll be using one of their guides for my visit in Myanmar and will report on that later.

The guys at Jupiter were my type, college athlete look. Muscled but not body builders. Just didn't find a guy whose face did it for me. If you like that type, there are a lot of good choices there. I have to say that the number of women in the bars did surprise me. I know it shouldn't since others have written about it, so I knew it was happening, but it is different when you see it. I didn't think it would bother me as much as it did.

This is finally what makes people stop buying that asshat's pizza? He's long been known to be a horrible POS. Remember all his BS about employees can't possibly have healthcare because it would raise the price 13 cents? I would've never given that company money and am glad more are on the same page. I don't care that he's not CEO or even on the board anymore, he owns the stock and gets the profit--sure as shit his employees don't share in it!

It would have been fun to be a fly on the wall in the creative meetings when this strange idea was pitched. Who pitched it, a man or a woman? The commercial cost a lot of money to produce and air, and I'm not convinced it helped anyone remember the name of the detergent. Not in any meaningful I-must-go-out-and-buy-this-now way. IMO, the concept is really out there. I mean, males sniffing a jockstrap? Really out there, and very gay suggestive, no matter the "family" scene. Not sure what to say about the Latino market focus. I don't know any straight Latinos who wear jockstraps when they perform sports. In fact, I don't know any men who wear jockstraps at my multi-cultural gym. Can't remember the last time I saw a guy wearing one, and I see a lot of guys' underwear choices when I work out. Even weirder, the jockstrap-on-a-stick looks oddly new (un-worn) and starched-stiff. Why wouldn't it smell like fresh soap in that condition? Perhaps if there were piss and groin sweat stains, the message of "fresh, clean smell" would have been more to the point. But that would have thrown controversial way over the edge. I have to assume this detail was discussed. In the end, for me, it was just weird and awkward. Not exactly where I would have put my money.

I do remember that place, although I forgot its name. They opened about 25 years ago and back them ere the most luxurious exclusively gay sauna in the city. The small park you describe is the Plaza Rodríguez Peña, in from of Palacio Pizzurno, home of the Secretary of Education. I do not know if the sauna still exists.

I wonder if what you visited was the long-established Tom’s - a decent, clean place in the business district. I visited once and met a cute young guy who’d arrived at the end of his office-day. Tom’s attracted an interesting crowd at varying times; it was very much “takeaway”, not “eat on the premises” I know of some organised sex-parties. I was invited by a fit 21year old to a party in an old converted movie-house not too far from Alto Palermo: anyone could attend; there was sex in various areas on 2 floors. It was dimly-lit but arousing to see the action. I disliked however the bareback fucking. There were also monthly sex-parties in an apartment in the Congreso area; would-be attendees were screened by email with pics, as it was meant for the fit/good-looking under 35 crowd (I was ‘allowed’ to go not because I was fit but rather because a local heart-throb took me as his date) Me too: polo shirts and shorts on my first visit, in April sunshine with temperatures of mid-80sF (30C). And tho I speak Spanish fluently, every person immediately spoke to me in English and assumed I was American. I soon noticed that Argentines dress much more formally. One anecdote: one evening I happened to glance at a handsome young man I passed by outside a supermarket. I was wearing a suit as I had to buy wine (for a dinner-party I’d been invited to); to my surprise, he appeared next to me in the wine section of the store; I smiled and said hello, and he said how he knew I was a foreigner....we ended up having a good time together.

I am using safari on iPhone and iPad, and no, it doesn’t happen to me here, the bold goes away very, very reliably.

Yes, love Dreamboys most of the time, did not have good luck last 2 times there. Tawan hasn't changed for me in 20 years. Seems like the same same each time. I am one of the few that like Jupiter and find good guys from there. I find Arena, My Hero and The Prince mostly older muscle guys now. But, it all depends on the time you go and who shows up that day. My friends tell me Screwboys has the hottest guys in Bangkok right now.

You may be right my friend. Consider I am not a tourist, I spend most of my time hunging out with relatives and old friends. I am visiting the gay circuits very rarely. As I do not have time to cruise, all my cruising is online. I did have more time in Corrientes, but here in Buenos Aires my schedule is tight and I am going straight for the efficiency, straight to the taxi boys. I am just comparing my online experience with the same apps and the same profiles between Corrientes and Buenos Aires. Also, I do not have formal cloths and I know that can make a difference in the local fashionable culture. You have not visited Corrientes. Who knows, perhaps with your older wealthy European aura the boys over there follow you like if you were in Morocco.

I’m enjoying your posts (and detailed reviews) @Latbear4blk I’d just like to take issue with what you wrote about younger men/older men as my experience runs counter to yours. I have vacationed in Buenos Aires 15-17x, each visit lasting a month or so. I am tall and lean, tanned with very short hair, and was often told that I looked ‘very European’ and not Argentine. After my first visit to the city when I dressed smart/casually, I tended to dress more formally (shirt and tie, jacket or suit) and I was hit on repeatedly by attractive younger men (18-30) both online and in the street. I can’t say what motivated the younger men. Undoubtedly it helped that I was seen as a foreigner with hard currency (or “dollarized” as I heard a few times). I was happy to be generous and as a single traveller I was happy to take them out and, of course, I picked up the bills. To my surprise, I was not asked for money. I dated many very nice young men who were invariably well-mannered and well-educated. My view FWIW is that Argentina remains a patriarchal society; the local economy remains difficult; and society can be quite cliquey. Generally older well-dressed men are seen as rich and powerful, and such a foreigner can be seen as very attractive to a young Argentine trying to make his way in the world.

I learned today that my mother spent her childhood in a completely different place than the one I always assumed she did.

Today I went for my third escort and this time it was a disappointment. He did not do anything wrong, really, we were just not a match.
