  1. Day 2: Sao Paulo with a Baiano It is common practice for me to look for a companion when I want to do a lot of touristy stuff at a place I am visiting for the first time. This has been particularly useful in my previous Brazil trip, where my BF at the time, a Brazilian (another story for another time), accompanied for 2 of the 3 weeks I was there. Obviously he knew the language, and was fluent in English as well, having lived in Europe for a few years now. In my Colombia trips, I’ve always been accompanied by either Colombian or Venezuelan Chaturbate boys. All knew the language, the ins and outs of the country (if not the city), and the safety concerns one must have when traveling in this part of the world. For this trip I sought out two people, for different halves of my trip. My Sao Paulo companion was a 22-year-old telemarketer from Salvador. Let's call this boy Marcos. The (then) BF and I met Marcos when we visited the city, at a mutual friend’s party. Marcos added me on Instagram during the party (as a pre-Whatsapp step – check out the guy’s Insta first before committing to Whatsapp). He was very prolific on Instagram (as most people his age) and had thousands of followers due to his thirst-trap type photos he posts. But he’s not just a pretty face. His Insta timeline is always chockfull of videos of him talking about the current events of the day, shirtless. The videos are just him talking, usually about politics, but since he is shirtless and his delicious chest (and abs) are in full view of the audience, he gets a lot of likes and delightful and creepy messages. Marcos and I have been messaging back and forth after my January trip. When I told him I was going to Sao Paulo he immediately asked me if he could go with me. I didn’t have to think about it too long. He was handsome, young, and since he is a budding bodybuilder, his body was on point. But he was also educated and had passable English, unlike most garotos (I am assuming). The problem was the motivation: I did not know if he was interested in having sex with me, or if it was even on the table. But I knew that he didn’t earn enough to be able to afford the RT airfare from Salvador to Sao Paulo, as well as pay for his share of food and other things, so I had to take care of all of that. I don’t always assume sex in on the table (but in my experience, it usually is). But he was charming, and smart, and would be a formidable (and interesting) companion for me as I dive into the touristic and cultural delights of the city. If sex was on the table, great! If not, I can always look for it on my own, or wait till he leaves in 2 days and catch the next Uber to Lagoa. I look at airfares for him: about $150, which was not bad. He then sends me photos of his CPF (I love doing this, I like seeing CPFs of guys), and I use the info on the CPF to get him a LATAM flight. I take the leap of faith, as I usually do in most situations, and invite him to Sao Paulo. Since he had work till Friday evening, he opted for a 3 AM, Saturday morning flight from Salvador, which got him to Sao Paulo at 6 AM. He took the Monday off, instead using the day to fly back to Salvador. I insisted on getting him the 6:25 PM flight back, which meant he had to be at the airport at 5 PM, which meant he had to leave the hotel at 4 PM, which meant I had time to go to Lagoa after he left. One must think about these things when on a (semi) sex tour. Before he left, he forwarded me a list of places he wanted to visit in Sao Paulo. I like a guy who knows exactly what he wants. He really really wanted to play the tourist: So Saturday morning, I await his arrival. He texts me saying he has arrived. He takes an Uber and tells me he is 45 minutes away. I shower and make same coffee. Pretty soon he texts me to say he is at the lobby. 5 minutes later he is at the door. Since his name is in the reservation he was able to get a key to the room, and used the key to operate the elevator up to my floor. I hear the door open in the living room. I wait for him to find his way to the bedroom. I see his head poke though the bedroom door. “What are you doing?” he asks me. “Waiting for you.” I head over his way and extend a hand to shake his. He pulls me in for a hug. “Nice to see you again.” He says warmly. He tells me about his journey - it’s his first time flying, he is very tired, he is excited about the hotel. He tells me he wants to shower and get going on our tour of the city. The next sequence is magical: he takes off all of his clothes, heads over to the bathroom, and turns on the shower. After a minute he pokes his head out and asks “You want to join?” I guess there was going to be sex after all. I fuck him in the shower. Life is good. Can’t give out photos of him of course. But I have permission to post his a pic of his cock (changing skin tone, etc), which I had to crop from a magnificent full-body shot that I took: The rest of him wasn’t half bad either. Pecs, abs, biceps, ass, handsome face. This kid was the embodiment of everything you expect from Brazil. Being from the North East, he seemed to have more “Indio” in him as there was white and black. A perfect mix. Oh, and as promised, he ran me ragged today playing tourist. I didn’t mind. He was gregarious and charming and was chock full of knowledge about Sao Paulo and Brazilian culture. Places we went to today: MASP – the Sao Paulo Museum of Art. Walkable from the Intercontinental. Nice first location for us. We had time between walking from one art installation to another to get to know each other. His English was not as good as I thought, but he tried hard anyway. These two paintings called “Retirantes” held a special meaning to Marcos. It was about Brazilian Northeastern Migrants, his ancestors, and their suffering during the drought in the last century. Touching explanation from Marcos. I’m glad I was able to get him here to see this piece of art in person: Mid-day we noticed Paulista Avenue was closed to traffic today due to a cycling/health festival. Lot of things to see: After, I took Marcos to his first subway ride ever, on the Sao Paulo Metro. He was beyond thrilled. I showed him how to use Google Maps to know which lines to use and which stops to look out for, as we made our way to the Sao Paulo cathedral (from the Consolacao station to the Se station, two lines, transferring in Paraiso station). Cheap fare – 4 Reals or $1 for a single ride ticket: The Sao Paulo Cathedral was pretty nice: We walk down through Rua Quinze de Novembro and of course we see some sexy soccer/football action, seemingly a regular sight in the country: And some concert happening ahead: We take an Uber to Beco de Batman (Batman’s Alley), an alleyway with a dense concentration of graffiti. We get a Bud and admire the art: And at sundown we head back through Uber, satisfied with our day: We did a lot in just a few hours. What I saw was a living, breathing dynamic city, through the eyes of my equally dynamic companion. I did not feel unsafe at all through all this. It was a pretty refreshing feeling, especially in Brazil, a supposedly fairly dangerous country. We were exhausted, and took a nap when we got to the hotel. We woke up pretty late, ordered room service, and just had a night in. Sex before bed of course. I guess it was always on the table. But, failure with my tally today. Maybe tomorrow? 2. Actually, I believe that it was a good idea to open a new thread for 2018 pricing. First, there are new members of this forum and many do not know how to do a search for this type of information. Secondly, many people don't like going back into old threads because information can be outdated. A new and current thread is a reinforcement of the prices charged in the saunas. Considering Brazil's current and terrible economic crisis, it was good that a thread was created to let readers who visit Brazil know that the financial crisis in Brazil has not materially affected pricing in the saunas. I think the earlier post above that criticized people for haggling over price was inappropriate. While I personally do not haggle, if others choose to negotiate that way, it does not affect me. I do what I do and others do what they do. Plain and simple. I am bewildered why a good faith thread would receive criticism. Let us all be happy that there is a Brazil we can visit.

  3. 1) The whole point of this thread was to have an easy-to-find thread solely dedicated to pricing so that other threads would not get de-railed by pricing discussions. 2) There is no need to bump a month old thead unless you want to contribute something new (i.e. your recent experiences with pricing in saunas). Also, unlike what you have stated sauna pricing is not that simplistic, and there are many nuances (goza vs no goza, overnight rates, etc.) At this point though I’m literally so exhausted with the pricing discussion. I had no idea what a can of worms it would be to open or how controversial it is.

  4. I’m never explicit about my intentions on Grindr. I don’t put on there that I’m looking for sex, or for garotos, or have any $$$ on my profile. The headline on my profile is simple but has been effective in both attracting local guys AND paid guys, at least for me. Your mileage may vary. Warning: this is not my actual Display Name, but close enough. One or two words, in the country’s language, followed by an American flag. You can’t do much. You only have 15 characters to work with. These words plus flag combination is what i use in Latin America, from Mexico to Uruguay, and including Brazil. I don’t know if that’s what makes it work or not. I also have my real photo on there. Useful for local guy hookups. I almost never initiate contact. The beauty about this part of the world is that there are always horny guys out there, as well as hot guys in need of cash, or both. It’s like watching a Christmas tree light up, as I have said before. Drains my cellphone battery a lot. I get a fair number of messages from prostitutes when in Colombia. Ditto Brazil. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the American flag in my profile, a signal to them that I may have gringo dollars. It might be my stupid face, or the fact I’m fresh meat, as I’m never in a place for more than a week or two. Who knows. But it works for me.

    Emails from BoyToy

I don't "continually" get emails from boytoy but I have had several advising me that I have not logged in for 30 days (whiich cannot be correct) and for me to upload a photo. I guess the programmers are overworked or over tired when this happens so often. On another matter, when I log in, I often get taken to the profile of someone I recently messaged or who messaged me. In order to leave the profile, I have to log out and log back in to get to the regular forum. Programmers - where are you?

  7. Also FYI, if you are a member of Daddy's site, there is a member there (Funguy) who is a physician with extensive knowledge in hormone replacement. He has given me some good information. You might want to contact him as well ?

  8. frob, I have a very similar medicine history and have been on meds for years for BP and cholesterol.. I am 67, and started to notice my sex drive dropped. Instead of wanting to go out cruising, I would just want to stay home and watch TV. Also erections were infrequent. I finally was referred to an endocrinologist by my primary care doc, and after extensive testing it was found I had low-T (testosterone), the hormone responsible for sex drive and response, and was a candidate for hormone replacement therapy. However, I have not started it due to other more pressing medical issues. I would recommend you speak to you primary for a referral. It is common for mens hormone levels to drop with age. I was glad I found the answer to my problem, and that my doc has a clearcut plan for fixing it. Good luck.

  9. Jayblk has the most precise explanation here. And every poster has made salient points. In Brazil, the legendary soccer player Pele, due to the meteoric socioeconomic standing to which he rose, who came from one of the worst favelas in Brazil to become one of the greatest athletes, was / is considered “white” — and he is as dark as asphalt. This concept would be laughed at and even sneered at in the USA: the black person who would claim to be white would be scoffed at as self-loathing by communities of color, and white people would definitely not embrace him as white (although he would benefit from a higher economic class due to his status). As mentioned here before, I come from a family of very fair-skinned black Americans, with a grandfather who was a darker Afro-Latino. There is no “bi-racial” in my family, similar to that of the fabled loving one white parent / one black parent like Barack Obama had. In fact, the last relative from our family tree to have a white parent was my great grandmother on my father’s side — who was the product of a white rape in the South in the 1900s. Our light skin comes from white slavemasters, overseers and sharecroppers raping black women with impunity. Most of my family, myself included, are as fair skinned as Derek Jeter, Vanessa Williams, Wentworth Miller or Paula Patton — complete with lighter eyes, freckles and lighter hair. And no one in our family is considered white. Other than a great aunt who moved from Louisiana to upstate NY in the 1950s and “passed for white” (another uniquely American concept), everyone in my family is called black, and proudly identifies with black. The light skin has nothing to do with it, or even the features. It’s the black heritage, the black parents, the black in the family tree — the black blood, if you will. In the USA, that historic “one-drop rule” still applies — and the term “mulatto” is considered just as wholly offensive and dated to the slavery era as “mandingo” is. Due to the African slave trade and its variances in brutalities, Black people in Latin and South America have both shared histories with and distinct histories from African-Americans in the USA. Brazilians are far more historically and culturally in tune with the concept of “mixed-race”, most likely because they’ve (at least the European men and the indigenous / African women have been) openly been screwing each other for centuries. However, it isn’t exactly the racial utopia that some claim it is. Although economic class can improve a darker Brazilian’s standing (as in the Pele example), the truth is that most multi-generationally impoverished Brazilians and most lower-class Brazilians are a lot less European-looking than the lit middle-class or upper-class counterparts. Servants and backroom restaurant laborers tend to be dark. — as fo the perpetually unemployed and underemployed. Unspoken Jim Crow-styled regulations still culturally and legislatively exist in many/most parts of Brazil. It would be more accurate to describe Brazil’s issues as colorism and classism, while the USA definitely has a serious racism problem, with classism and colorism taking back seats to racism. And don’t even get me started on The Dominican Republic! That place’s colorism issues are enough to fill a year of National Geographic issues. The hatred and disdain shown to their darker fellow Haitian islanders is deeply disturbing. A conversation that I always have with Latin Americans / Brazilians during my travels as an African-American who would be considered branco/ blanco, pardo / mulatto / mestizo instead of preto / negro in Brazil / The DR, goes a lot like this: ”In America, Barack Obama, Mariah Carey, Halle Berry, Beyoncé, Derek Jeter, Tiger Woods, Meghan Markle, Paula Patton and Vanessa Williams are all considered black. And you would be, too!” BTW, Cuba? It’s no coincidence that the majority of Cubans (anti-Castro regime, mostly economic exiles, majority Republican) in South Florida are white(r), and the Afro-Cubans (the ones who are generally more favorable to Castro regimes), when you actually go into the barrios of Havana Este and inland, are mostly the ones on the island. Cuba is a LOT blacker than one would see in America and tourism areas.

  11. Florida rob and i know two different Americans who each bought/built houses in Copacabana and both ended up with homes worth much more then they paid for them, one rents his for $1,000./nt with a 7 night minimum stay and it is rented all year so much so that both got apartments to stay at when they are in Rio! they also bought in 2004 when i think the dollar/Reias ratio was about where it is now! Now the difference is that these are higher end properties and they have “live in” house managers which eliminates the theft issues that was experienced by Mvan! so bottom line buying property can work in Brazil depending on you luck and timing!

  12. In the USA, Black is an ethnic group generally characterized by darker skin and/or a family experience of multi-generational forced labor. I say generally, because there are those with extremely light skin, see Obama aid Valerie Jarrett who considers herself Black and people with no family history of being worked to death, see Barack Obama, who also considers himself Black. Moreover, in the USA, by law in half the country, for centuries, anyone with any perceptible or provable genetic connection to an African was considered Black no matter what they looked like or how remote the connection. This meant that the condition of Blackness was permanent and permanently heritable. Thus, it was impossible to simultaneously believe in the inferiority of Blacks and yet think yourself better than an animal if you were visibly or provably Black. In Latin America, this was/is not the case. It is possible to "mejor la sangre" (improve the blood) by copulating with a European and producing offspring who were not Black. Thus, it was intellectually possible both to internalize the racist lies and yet love your children because they were not Black. Hence, national movements for civil rights came much later to places like Brazil and Cuba. My Brazilian and Cuban friends often say to me that Pardos/Mulatos are doing well in the USA because we have had a pardo potus, Obama, two pardo secretaries of state ( Powell and Rice), a pardo attorney general ( Holder) Pardo governors of Virginia ( Wilder) and Massachusetts ( Patrick). They say, then, perhaps things will be looking up for Blacks someday too. In an American context, each of those people would be horrified by the idea that they are not Black while in Brazil, or Cuba, or Panama, or Colombia or the DR, none of them is Black.

  13. Ill add my 2 cents even though you asked specific people questions Im sure they will answer... Not sure what is described as Washingtonian or Californian...Cultural norms are completely different than things that are regional or maybe things statewide... In the US, the color of your skin definitely be what you are acknowledged as versus in Brazil, I have seen BLACK guys that look like me but are professionals or come from money and consider themselves black... In the US, your skin color often dictates what you are...ie, President Obama looks like an African American man so he is black....it is very rare for somebody to actually identify them self as Bi Racial based on how they look....there are TONS of biracial Americans that look white or black but we just acknowledge them based on how they look...some goes for black and Asian or black and Latino....there is just now a huge movement to self identify as Afro Latino or Afro Asian, etc....Tyson Beckford is Afro Asian and Lala Anthony is Afro Latino...Paula Patton is biracial but looks like a white woman, etc... As far as the issues differing in different parts of Brazil...more or less extreme...its just like in the states...there are states that are clearly more liberal or racists and cities with little minorities versus meccas like DC and Atlanta.... Brazil has more to do with wealth and education....A good friend of mine said me simply having money and being American, I can consider myself white in Brazil....(Not even sure HOW...LOL) Most of the poor in Brazil are darker skinned people of African descent and the huge majority of wealth belongs to the Brazilians who look very European.... There are issues with jobs, education, equal rights, etc in Brazil that America is still dealing with BUT not on such a large scale Both countries have issues with police brutality among the black race..

  14. I considered investing in a property in Copa and was told by a friend in Rio that used to live in the states not to... Americans are charged much more than the Cariocas/Brazilians AND the income is not consistent if you rent it out... He owned an apartment in Copa, NICE place, 3 bedrooms 1 bath, maids room, close to the beach and around the corner from Pointe 202...He rented it out during major holidays and events and made decent money but not what would be considered great money, ie, Super Bowl rates for places in downtown Atlanta... I think his mortgage was about 1K per month...what I considered decent...He is considered middle class and had to let the place go for a smaller place in Botofoga because renting rates werent consistent... I even asked him to property manage for me and he said that there is a ton of competition in Copa and Ipanema and unless I was getting paid in US dollars it definitely wasnt worth it... Brazil puts Americans through way too many ropes to purchase in Rio....I saw something on House Hunters International about the requirements and after doing my research decided against it... Easier to stick with other peoples apartments...

Well I did say it is my 2nd visit. Also, I am a 6ft, muscular, 35yo black man who s lived in Devlopping countries before & grew up in the DC inner cities, and when not at work, I have an urban/hip hop swag. (Think rapper 50cent). Trust me, I have “developing country” smarts and people are usually intimidated by me, not the other way around. I am definitely moving forward with my plans on hooking up with gogo boys. I do appreciate advice on this though. I understand one can never be totally safe from violence nor from being a victim of a hustle.

  16. Too right Paris!! Hence my earlier assertion that Obama is not Black in Brazil. Neymar has been known to OBJECT to being called Black. The Iberian slaveocracy was built on the foundation of Blacks as subhumans just as the northern European versions were. The difference is that the Portuguese and the Spanish provided an escape hatch from the benighted class in the form of an intermediate class, mulatto or mestizo in the Spanish context and Pardo in Brazil. That way, even the higher access to resources that sometimes extended from European parentage could not be used to topple the whole system and threaten the forced labor camps. Americans like WEB DuBois, Booker T. Washington, Frederick Douglass, Thurgood Marshall,, Barack Obama, Doug Wilder, Maynard Jackson would, none of them, have been considered Black in Brazil which may be why Brazil has not ever had such leaders.

the gogo boys are available but you can’t make it obvious to the other patrons you are soliciting them about sex! there are several ways to do this! Do not expect to go with them the first night you see the but as they have plans to leave with the other gogo guys/friends after they preform. I have done this enough times over the years to know this is almost always true! Many/Most of them do not want to be known as GP’s! Also they will ask for usually Twice as much the first couple of times you meet until you have a understanding, at least that is how it worked for me when i did those guys!

  19. I was bored today and looking at real estate in Rio. Overall Rio is expensive, but cheap compared to NYC or San Fran. An average 2 bedroom in Ipanema goes for around 1-1.5 million reals (beachfront and luxury buildings go for much more). Has anyone here bought property in Brazil? The dollar is pretty strong now.. I came across one dream property - I'm sure it costs millions, but it is amazing! I can only imagine how much fun it would be to invite a bunch of garotos to come hang out with you in the pool there

Since yesterday, when I log in to the forums (I do not do it to the main site) I am taken to an error screen, where I have to reenter my user name and password. I do log in in this second try and am taken to the forums home page, where everything looks normal. I click one first time on anything and everything is fine. When I go back to the home page, I am now logged out, according to the status in the upper right corner. However I am not out. If I click on any message, the new screen shows me in. When I go back to the home page, it shows me out again.

Can't people figure out there is a pattern going on here? All cases of robbery or improper behavior reported here recently on this forum envolves people taking persons they haven't met before to their hotels/apartments. I think nobody should be so vulnerable anywhere on earth, much less in Brazil, kinda asking for trouble and living in an utopian universe. Wake up for reality. 33. @mrb43 DUDE there's seriosly no need to bring this endless thing about price, up again since many people of this forum act and think the exact opposite of what you wrote. Pay whatever you want if that makes you feeling happier, or a better person or whatever. The only sure thing about the prices question is that the newbies MUST know that what won't change at all (for now) is that most of the guys in Rio will go for 100 starting from 150. Most of the guys in Sao Paulo will not go below 120. Negotiation is something the guys are expecting and no...paying the garoto 10 times what he would normally ask, will not bring you a better performance and will just result in the guys around you, setting that rate as the standard they must ask to you. And frankly the only unattractive thing here is the fact that there are new guys on this forum with little to no contributions, who judge what other users write (including the results of their negotiations with escorts) to keep the forum alive and a reliable source of info for those who are new to latin american paid sex scenarios.

  36. Americans buying Real Estate in Brazil - don't do it! I started visiting Brazil about fifteen years ago. Like most Americans, I was taken in by the lifestyle and the fascinating garotos. So much that I visited Brazil every other month for the first few years I began visiting Brazil. Sometimes I visited more often. One day I decided to take the advice of several Americans who had purchased condos in Brazil. I looked for and finally found a condo I liked and I bought it. After making an offer, I had to apply for and get a CPF number to furnish to the real estate company and to whomever needed the number to record me as the new owner. Buying real property in Brazil was probably the dumbest thing I ever did. After being ripped off by three different supposed “contractors” to remodel the condo (which they only did partially and badly), I was finally able to move in. I bought furniture and settled into a fairly nice condo. However, I had to return to the U.S. every month or so because of other commitments I had. The first time I returned to the Brazilian condo after being gone about one month, the refrigerator, the stove, the television and other furniture had been stolen from my condo. This was despite there being a 24-hour guard on the front door of the building. After replacing the stolen items, I moved back to the condo. After a few weeks, I again returned to the U.S. and I returned only to find more furniture stolen from the condo. I replaced the stolen items only to have them stolen yet a third time. That was it. I decided an absentee occupant of a condo in Brazil was not workable. I immediately returned to a hotel and put the condo up for rent and/or for sale. The "return on my investment" is negative, big time. The price of real estate in Sao Paulo has not gone up like is inaccurately implied in these forums. My condo is worth less than one-third of what I paid for it (not counting the multiple thefts of furniture and the dead beat tenants that did not pay their rent or the fake contractors who got me to advance money for remodeling they did not do). Not only is it a hassle as a part-time occupant having a condo in Brazil. Each month there are condo fees, utilities, door men to pay (24 hour services). Worse though is the fact that Americans who do not own a business in Brazil cannot legally open a checking account even to pay their condo bills. You cannot pay condo fees and other condo related expenses with credit cards. Having no Brazilian bank account means repeated trips to an ATM machine to get cash to pay the condo and other expenses. No, owning a condo in Brazil as a part time resident is not something I recommend or am happy about doing. Nope, hotels are fine for me -

  37. Very much the same type of penalties if you overstay on a tourist visa when visiting some countries in Africa. You may well have to write an apology and pay a small fine. I once fell ill and was hospitalized for 2 weeks in Africa, and as a result overstayed my visa. Travel agents and tour guides assured me it would not be a problem but when I got to the airport it was. Only after a heated discussion with the Immigration official - I had a medical letter with me and I explained I had been in a coma for 11 days - did he agree NOT to mark my passport!

    Next week in Barcelona

I must be missing something. I have gone to Thermas in Barcelona many times. I have never had guys be pushy. While it is true that many guys will ask repeatedly if you are interesting in having a thing with them, I found that a polite - no thank you - in various languages had them move on only to return a while later with the same question. None was ever rude. Many were charming but they were not my type. Pushy - never.

  40. I’m always kind of cautious with garotos (or any hookups) who offer to bottom bare. I’ve yet to have one insist on it. Does anyone know if Brazilians can get Prep for free with their national healthcare?

    Berlin

Laboratory and FickstutenMarkt are without any doubt the wildest places I went To. In Lab.oratory every thursday is the all nude night. There are maybe around 200 naked guy, many of them with hard on and fucking take place everywhere. Do not expect To see only mature guys : there are many young guys, sometimes cute who go there. Principle is that entry is only until midnight. So no need after that time To expect newcomers. FickstutenMark is hold in various places, mostly in Germany (Berlin Hamborg Koln). It is a gathering of mares and stallions. All are totally naked. Mares arrive at 6.30 pm and are prepared for stallions. Préparation means they have a bag covering their eyes and the upper part of their head and they are ass up offered for stallions. They cannot see the stallions. They cannot refuse the stallions to fuck her but they can refuse to suck the stallions. Mares with red bags can be fucked bareback. Mares with white bags can only be fucked with condoms. Employées look around to make sure people do wear condoms... Only in Germany. !Better not To be shy To ho to there places. But I did enjoy it the various times I went there

    Cuba, May 2018

Just came from Las Vegas! It's packed with people although the usual big crowd outside of pingueros wanting to get in seems to be missing. It's been raining here apparently the past few days so maybe that kept the crowd away. The quality of the guys are not bad at all although only a few will compare to the guys from Brazil. But it’s just my first day, maybe I’ll see more later on. Also, somebody got a proposal today! The couple is from Miami. I went to Malecon too and just a handful there.

  46. What I meant by my comment is that the poor or lower-class in the USA also shoulder the burden of military service — voluntary or draft.

  47. Stop the world. I actually agree with the loquacious Riobard! Regarding “gringo”, it can vary by Latin American region, but this Urban Dictionary explanation is probably the most succinct: ”A gringo is just a North American or Anglo-Saxon. It is usually a white person, but it does not have to be. It isn’t a hateful derogatory, but it can be used derogatorily. It also represents peculiar behavior and attitudes that Latinos consider to be uniquely “American".”
