Weather was amazing as always...Beach everyday....Ipanema for the sun....Copa for a massage... All of the tourists have pretty much left so the beaches were not full like the past few months Thursday night 117 had a nice crowd...definitely less populated than when I was there at the end of December but still a good mix Didnt find anybody to connect with BUT...thanks to Grindr...I hooked up with a short, muscular Carioca at the apartment in Copa.... *New studio...very modern...nice size...comfortable for me and the snacks that came over **The building where the studio I stayed in must do rentals as well as have long term residents because I saw a mix of tourists and older people who clearly lived in the building...as I was leaving one night, I also saw a sauna boy leaving as well...Headed to the sauna After connecting with the hot muscle guys...I had a regular I met in the saunas come by....he has not moved to Rio from Bahia and lived close by...amazing session with him...performed much better in the apartment versus in the sauna 2 in one night Friday...Sauna was definitely festive and more crowded...way less tourists and more of the regular who go to 117...Still no action there but it was amazing energy compared to Thursday and had a great time....walked over to Lapa afterwards and got DRUNK and had a chicken on a stick... I had the muscle guy from Thursday come back over...Another HOT ass session...Hoping he and I can become "friends" so we can have another hot session when Im in Rio in October (unless I go back before then) Saturday the club was SUPER packed and busy....Long lines for cabins...patio and bar area all packed....guys in the hallway....great selection....NO SEX....I KNOW...I KNOW Sunday was decent...got in around 5 since I had to leave at 7 to head to the airport Hot guys....the regular that came to the apartment was there...since I wanted something new and one last bang before I left, I tried and was VERY happy with a dark skinned Bahia guy....massive dick (nice to look at) and amazing muscle ass....at first he said he was Ativo but of course that changed....there was not a huge crowd....a lot of regulars but it was still very early... Dude was amazing! I am bothered because I hate people shitting on people who are trying to make the place more enjoyable for all. I may not like black guys, but you won't see me posting about in a post (I love black guys but you get the point?). When you read something you don't like, move on. No need to be a negative nelly. IMHO Goodness, I had near 10 boys living with me at one time and not one was effeminate (other than me). They were as manly and as masculine as any guy I met in Harlem, Brazil or Spain. True, none were fat (one was chunky) but none of the one I had sex with in other places were anything but in shape and thin as well.

Miss Rippon graced us with her appearance on WWHL with Andy Cohen (Bravo TV)and the after show last night. Giving us diva affectation and "gay face", she attempted to be fierce and witty, but clearly isnt the experienced "media darling" shes cracked up to be. Andy kept drooling and fawning over Adam like a Daddy stalking his new twink prey, and Adam let us know his type is a guy "who goes to the gym and has a job".... Rivetting ! Like I said my writing is not for everyone. I'm sure a lot of people here didn't like or didn't read my small report (but chose not to post anything negative). I've told @TotallyOz and @paulsf three weeks ago (in a bar in Bangkok), about my reservations in posting here. Anyway, I'm going to try to continue to write about my travels on here because there are people here who like it or think it is useful. I urge those who don't post their reports because they fear other posters belittling them, to post anyway, and fuck the doubters - like @torogen said here in another thread: I am heading to Costa Rica soon and would very much love to see this report, but of course @torogen you had your reasons, and I respect those reasons. It is easier to just lurk and not expose yourself to potential ridicule. Since I've been going, 15 times in 4 years. Jupiter and Boy66 bar has vast majority hunks, Tawan has body builders who are all tops, BBB in Pattaya has half hunks. P.S. I'll be in Cartagena in a few days, and Bogota next month, and Porto Alegre and Sao Paulo in May, so if there are posters here who will be in those cities, at those months, PM me!

Thanks for the compliments. This and some personal messages I've gotten thanking me for this report are all appreciated. These may inspire me to write about the 3 upcoming trips I have to Brazil, and two upcoming for Colombia. I am not sure I'll write about those yet. Thanks guys. My writing style is not for everyone. If you ever check out my trip reports on GayThailand.com, and the one on here, you will see that I write about too many things in too much detail. I seem to be unable to write in any other way, oh well. My secret is I always write these between layovers or on long flights to somewhere, since I travel a lot of work and play. Also, my reports seem to be more useful for newbies and not super helpful for Brazil veterans, but I am glad some appreciate it. Glad you two opined about this. Rob, what you say is true about Thailand vs. Brazil, but at least we are both lucky enough to enjoy both countries in our own way. Sorry I will miss you on your next Bangkok trip, and you missed me when I was there last week, but hopefully we can hangout again at some point this year. I agree. Most rent boys in Thailand are skinny/thin boyish or effeminate twinks, and the sex is more vanilla. Whereas in Brazil, I can easily find manly macho muscle men, and have sex like wild beasts.

I got a WhatsApp message yesterday from a guy I had not seen since 2003! I assume me got my FB WhatsApp from one of the current guys I know because when I met him at Estacau sauna in 2002 no one had cell phones much less smart phones and I just had my 35mm camera! I saw him 2 or 3 times over the next year when I would run into him at the sauna. never saw him again after 2003. anyhow, I went back over my photos to find a original one from then and then one from what he looks like now!(the third one is from a now defunct xrated site) I told him I appreciated him contacting me but I am unavailable! I do feel sorry for the guys who were sauna boys in their early/mid 20s and now are in their mid 30's and never made the transistion to "regular" work or lost their jobs in the difficult economic times that Brazil is in....
