A Newbie's First Time in Brazil
Creditisdue and one other reacted to numazu for a topic
Thanks @Gotti for the reference to "Vidigal Bieber". I had no idea of his existence till Anitta's music video (yes Anitta is not a good singer, but she does produce some catchy pop music and the gays love her music in the clubs). Further googling yielded his (Pietro Baltazar's) Instagram and is a treasure trove of this model's very photogenic life. My fave still: His blonde look is still the moneymaker I'm sure, and looking at the blonde pictures still reminds me of Gabriel and makes me want to go back to Brazil ASAP:2 points -

I thank all employees, artists, friends and collaborators in general for respect, love, professionalism and dedication. To friends customers, thank you so much for trust and respect. Thank you all for believing in my dream of creating a gay club where respect to next, friendship, joy are present at every moment. Thank you for believing in me. I tried and got accepted right away. Did not put in a Lifemiles account number, put in the promotional code for the extra miles, and put in my SSN, annual income and housing situation. Got four routine questions about my previous credit activities, and voila, a $50k credit limit. I do hope that I get the full 60,000 miles bonus, because a one-way economy award ticket in Avianca from North America to Brazil is 30,000 miles. I just checked this website for reviews on Avianca. There are plenty of reviews there, and Avianca's average rating is 3 stars (out of the full 5 stars). AA is 2 stars, Delta is 3 stars, United is 2-3 stars.1 point

Airfares to Brazil
Tartegogo reacted to tassojunior for a topic
Avianca (at least Columbian, not Brazilian Avianca) was one of the first airlines and is extremely good. I've flown them twice and would rank them with the top airlines. I flew coach but I'm sure their biz is above average. Avianca Brazil was a different airline before some sort of merger/acquisition and has never had a great reputation. I would choose Avianca over any other airline to Columbia or Peru.1 point -
Cuba, May 2018
axiom2001 reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
Get yourself an additional casa particular or arrange a room at a casa where the host doesn’t mind guests having Cuban “visitors” (check with the host in advance). You can also just wait until you get to Cuba and ask around — there are plenty of Cubans that are renting apartments and rooms as a side hustle, and many don’t mind if the foreigners have Cuban guests (with restrictions, usually they must present their ID and the name must be written in a book, by Cuban law). Cuban locals are restricted from visiting hotels. Also, if you’re American, be extra careful about going to Cuba as a “tourist”. Follow the regulations and be sure to leave a paper trail of your accepted activities.1 point -

Axiom, I am curious to meeting you. I am wondering whether you speak as you write. I am not good at detecting styles in English, but you sound to me like the captain of a British war ship from the XVI century.1 point -
