Last week I went to the gay area in Bangkok with a friend. We had dinner and went to one GoGo bar. All the boys in this area are over 18 and police would cause major issues for anything under 18. I sat down and was chatting with my friend when this cute Cambodian lad came by and said hi. I was strucken by his sexy smile and beautiful smile. I had him sit and have a drink. Last year I bought a 2nd home in Mexico and on my first trip there took a guy from Sao Paulo that I really liked to Mexico with me, it was the first time in all these years that I took someone with me on a trip as I always like to have "choices" and did not want to be tied down to one guy. Saying that, I have to admit it was great having him there and we had a great time and did a number of 3 somes off of Grindr. Taking a Brazilian to Mexico is like "taking coals to Newcastle" and I never anticipated doing this(although the Mexicans seem to really like the Brazilans) but it has been great and I am looking forward to the March trip more then I have any other trip in a long time!

As cute as that picture is, he is much cuter in person. Bangkok has been very busy the last couple of weeks with the lead up to Chinese New Year. For those of you familiar with Soi Twilight, it’s been Doing real well lately. Though more people seem to be showing up for the shows after 9:30 and leaving right after the shows end. Less hanging around bars and restaurants. Lots of boys being offed. Some sad news for those of you who enjoy Twilight. It appears to be closing up for good around June or July. Developers are building a new hotel. There is a little hope things will be delayed a bit as a couple of places still have 5 year leases and aren’t so willing to give them up. Word is around that the gogo and bar owners are scrambling to find new places to relocate, but will never be the same. Way to many people are going to be put out of work. Banana Bar has new place on Soi 4, and Hot Male owner just bought the old Jupiter location across the street, renaming to Hot Boy. Renovating now and hopes to open about March 1. It will be a new era as things will all be walkable, but not all on one street where you can spend the evening just people watching. As I hear and see more I will post.

I learned this year's flu is serious. I had it and recovered. But, a friend has 105 degrees and in hospital. I had a friend in Alabama die at the age of 52. Be careful!

Sorry, never could watch much reality TV. I require talent to be interested in anything, especially if it means giving money (ie: producing). Nobody does drag better than Omarosa, except for maybe Trump and all the Drag Race queens.

There are a lot of guys on the apps advertising massages etc who are escorts. If you go to Mixwell or Bali joes in seminyak you will probably find company for free or a few drinks if you like. Ilha Grande, Buzios, and Paraty are all amazing destinations to visit from Rio, each worth a few days. Your chances of finding 'company' there are slim to none, as others here have reported. Bring your company, and focus on enjoying the sights.

As someone who was lucky enough to hang with Oz and Hooboy in Montreal, NYC, etc back in the day (never made it to Thailand with them), I can vouch for genuine fondness that Oz had for Hoo, and for his desire to do what he thought Hoo would want (i.e. the plan above). Just returned last night from a friend's birthday weekend in Barcelona replete with eating and lots of visits to Thermas. We all took different airlines (JFK, EWR) and landed in the early afternoon on Thursday (I tried the new Norwegian airline from EWR- the business class tickets are a good deal as they are only slightly more than the premium economy on the legacy airlines). Checked into the hotel (Mandarin Oriental, located on the edge of the gay district. The hotel is well situated, but the interior is a little dated compared to other MOs; however, the doormen are all tall dark handsome spaniards with beautiful smiles and always willing to lend a helping hand). Side note: do not get the bfast buffet as it is not worth 45 euros. Rather spend it at the nice cafe (Faborit) across the street and you can get a really good meal for 10 euros. Upon check-in, i immediately skipped my usual nap and headed straight to Thermas. (Cabfare from hotel is about 6 euros, i tried to save some money on subsequent visits by buying the T10 card, which allows you to take the metro for 1 euro). The entrance fee is now 18 euros and all the rates are well listed (along with the prices for the hourly rooms). Met with Felipe a nice muscular guy from Porto who did an amazing massage and did wonderful things with his tongue. Also played with Douglas, a cute Brazilian who despite claiming he was active proved to be otherwise behind closed doors. Went to dinner at Petit Pau, one of the few non michelin restaurants we tried, but we all loved it and thought it was one of the best meals that trip.
