  1. Turns out that old dear Bernie didn't know the half of what was going on in the DNC. Also it turns out that Obama never bothered to pay off its huge debt from his 2012 campaign leaving the Dems crippled and stripped of resources in the run up to the 2016 campaign.

larstrup, who the hell are you to say those things about Latbear? He is a US citizen. Case closed. What an ass you are and, In reality, it seems to me that you are the ignorant one and a know-it-all who wants to preach to us about what you have done to foster Gay rights, etc. You try to make it appear that you were at the forefront of the Gay rights battles when in reality you were probably hiding in the background and just congratulating yourself for doing nothing.

    Point 202 last night

After about 8 or 9 months I was back at sauna 202. The night was billed as "the return of Junior". For the best of my knowledge tthe last time I was there he had already recouped ownership of the place, so I don't know what the fuss was all about. The facilities were vastly improved and well mantained by a mostly lesbian staff (!). Another big difference: It was jam packed, the most I ever seen, it was the eve of a major holiday, but still..., the outlook of the boys has dramatically changed, a seasoned Rio sauna goer would think he was at Meio Mundo, a lot of the boys would not get a chance at 202 just a few months ago, maybe Meio Mundo closed after all (not sure about that) and Junior decided to take'em all in for a change. A huge number of trannies we're in attendance last night, at least 10 of them, which means about 8 too many. Something that's not changed is the music volume, blasting loud, Junior doesn't give up the idea that he is also a dance club impresario, the entire arrangement of a night club was in place, including laser lights, strobe lights and the like, totally inappropriate for a sauna, everything commanded by a beyond horrible DJj. Don't get me wrong, I love going out dancing on night-clubs, but a sauna were you can hardly talk with anybody is not the place. In a past post I mentioned that 202 was becoming the place to be on Wednesdays and this is now a reality, In Rio the big nights are the suite-free nights, Junior (finally) sticked with Wednesday, after being all over the place (he even tried -foolishllly- a free Tuesday) and is paying off handsomelly, I don't know about the other nights, but on a Wednesday nobody should look elsewhere. For my taste, the number of garotos increased three fold and the quality decreased in the same proportion, but the place is certainly happening. Only one boy caught my fancy, but could not have him, he was on the way out, unwanting to wait for the suite line (also a first). About 22, white, brunette and very masculine. If I have another shot at 202 this time around, he will be mine. His name is Ricardo..

I understand the condemnation, and would normally tend to agree But........ I can also understand Spacey's motivation IF Rapp had a history of coming on to him. sure we do not know the whole story, afterall its 30 years ago, but I can certainly imagine a Youngin lusting after a successful Daddy figure, especially in the sexually formative and experimental years. YES, nothing would excuse Spacey, as the adult, from actting on his impulses, but at least try to understand the motivation. IF he was pursued, and that's a big IF, he ultimately succumbed to his desires..... I am sure many of us have "succumbed" to something in our lifetime, when we knew it was wrong, but just couldnt help ourselves ? So Spacey is now a pariah and outcast, and with just cause, but lets have a bit of understanding. I honestly dont think he was trying to "take advantage" of young Rapp, and nothing did happen afterall....

Excellent post... Looking back on my youth, growing up as a gay man in my 20's and trying to figure things out on my own in a world often hostel and homophobic, I realized how blessed and fortunate I was. I always liked older men as friends. My preference sexually was guys my own age, but for friendships, I gravitated toward older men, those in their 40's 50's and 60's. I was always fascinated by their knowledge, perspective on the culture, and how they made their way through this world. There was a sense of quite sophistication, proper behavior, and an absolute line of right and wrong, with all things in life. For some, much of what is learned about life, is learned outside the home, and I owe much of my life, and how I conduct it, to those early friendships. There are those that were far less fortunate than I, and I realize how blessed I was. I volunteered for the better part of 20 years, at the Gay and Lesbian Center in Hollywood, in a variety of capacities. The stories and abuse that some of those kids grew up with is often incomprehensible. Larstrup is correct in his condemnation Spacey, and those that excuse that sort of behavior...

Enjoy the blaming. You seem to have a special talent for it.

  8. Why did he need to add such an unfriendly disclaimer? I would try to find some other guide. Is he the only one offering a gay tour for the city?

  9. Luis is a professional tour guide who is also gay and knows the Havana gay scene. He can take you on standard city tours, beach tours, nightlife tours and gay nightlife tours. He can act as an interpreter if you need it. He is a professional and is not an escort or a pimp. There is a gay casa particular in Old Town Havana in which the owner will be glad to introduce you to boys — many of whom are his friends and regulars. However, they may or may not be your type. Google “gay casa particular Havana” and it will pop up. One of the easiest things to do in Havana is meeting guys who will play for money if you are a tourist and in the typical spots. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel. Why would you even need a third party facilitator?

  10. There is a town named 'Boring' in, I think, Idaho. In a job I long ago held that involved scanning many states' newspapers (for certain state-level legislative news, in the pre-Internet era), I randomly came across this delicious headline: Crash Kills Boring Man

Jog my memory, Sucky, when has Trump even rhetorically entertained the notion that he might have been wrong about anything?

Home Business Rio Loses R$657 Million in Tourism Over 8 Months Due to Violence Business Local Business Rio Loses R$657 Million in Tourism Over 8 Months Due to Violence Restaurants, bars and hotels have registered significant revenue losses and some have been forced to close in the eight first months of the year. By Lise Alves - November 3, 2017 Share on Facebook Tweet on Twitter By Lise Alves, Senior Contributing Reporter RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The city of Rio de Janeiro has lost more than R$657 million of its tourism revenues during the eight first months of the year due to crime and violence, according to a new survey conducted by the National Confederation of Commerce of Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC). Couve Flor restaurant closed its doors in September due to the recent escalation of violence in the city, photo internet reproduction. The loss is equivalent to 29 percent of the total loss of the sector’s revenues during the period (R$2,291 billion). The segment of bars and restaurants suffered more than half of the loss (R$332.1 million), according to the survey, with both tourists and residents afraid to go out due to the increasing reports of violent clashes between police and trafficking gangs. The violence also makes it harder for those who live in these communities plagued with the escalating violence to go to work. One of the first and most famous health food venues in Rio, Couve-Flor, closed its Jardim Botanico location restaurant in September. According to owner Jair Pinto, the armed disputes in the Rocinha favela community led to repeated absences of many of his employees who live in the community. “In a single day eleven employees missed work,” Pinto told Globo newspaper. “They could not leave the house because of the shootings.” Another city landmark, Osteria Policarpo, located in Rio’s Humaita neighborhood, closed its doors last month, after 25 years. According to chef and owner Luiz Gennari, the restaurant did not resist the strong economic crisis and the increased violence faced by the city in the past year. “Unfortunately the situation of our country, state and city is very complicated and we will not be able to remain open,” said the restaurant in its social media page. The segments of transportation, travel agencies and car rental companies also suffered losses, totaling R$215.5 million, or 32.6 percent of the total revenues while the segment of hotels and inns registered losses of R$97.7 million, or 14.8 percent of the total revenues during the January-August 2017 period.
