I just get so tired of comments from anyone about photos that are not to their taste. I know that everyone has preferences but I see no need to try to impose someone's preferences on another. Many don't like black men. Many don't like Asian. Many don't like Latin. Many don't like White. Many don't like younger or older or fat or skinny or toned or feminine or masculine or.... The list goes on. Thank goodness I am the only one that likes twinks with tattoos and badboy attitudes and a bit of color. It leaves more in the world for me. But, just because I have a preference in what I hire does not negate that I have friends that like white guys. Again, not my thing. But, hey, isn't that OK? Can't we all just be OK with what others find beautiful and admire the spectrum?5 points

A couple Rio Guys

FYI, there are quite a number of garotos at the saunas and in escort ads who are in their 30s -- a few even more. They might not let clients know their real ages and you might not find out unless you have a need to verify their date of birth for some later reason (which won't occur for just casual encounters or simple programas -- I'm talking like "buying a place ticket or getting a tourist visa"). BTW, this rule also applies to escorts in the States as well. Personally, I don't care as long as they look great and know their way around the bedroom. I'm not into "barely legal" guys myself. To each his own.5 points -
Why the fuck should they have been out of the sauna scene for some time? Maybe not your preference but that does not mean they have no work. In Stella's years back, one of the guys I enjoyed playing pool with was in his 60's and a hustler and got many offs. I have a friend that is now 52 and still escorting. To each his own Thank Goodness!4 points

Recent reports have inspired me to see for myself if the scene in Havana has deteriorated as far as others suggest. I have a sneaking suspicion that the Havana-hating might be inspired by a preference for a very specific kind of guy. My own tastes run to well-hung, muscular, mulatto bottoms. I will be sure to report back on my findings. So far, PlanetRomeo has set me up to have a very good time. We shall see.3 points

Only people who enjoy being the only wealthy person on a dark street in a desperately poor neighborhood need look to this list for travel guidance. Most of the list would have been the same 200 years ago if you had included violence against people owned by other people. This list is the legacy of chattel slavery, extreme inequality and apartheid. Racial caste systems require violence. That violence outlives the system itself. Poor young men without access to the productive society turn on each other. "twas ever thus. Also of note, Im willing to bet that if such a list were published that expanded the definition of violence beyond murder and controlled for violence of poor locals against other poor locals, no more than 10 cities would make the new list.3 points

That was my point. It is what you consider past their prime. That is not what all consider past their prime. Who determines this? You? Me? Or, the market? humm Badboy, I am not getting my frustrations out and I am not upset in anyway. Truly. I appreciate active discussion and debate.3 points

I am sure that definitely works...that would work with many guys in the states, said in English...Not all but many....3 points

Warning! Thief and con artist in Medellin!!!
JKane and one other reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
I think if we are all honest with ourselves, we've each had at least one experience where we were hustled or taken advantage of, usually in a momentary lapse of judgment. Instead of just warning about specific individuals, it's probably better to use the experience to see what we each could do differently to prevent these kinds of situations. And be grateful that nothing worse happened -- THIS time. It happens to the best of us. I've been doing this for 20+ years and the few times whenever I "get got", it's something I could've easily prevented with some better precautions. My most standout Brazil experience was a hot cop I messed with several times before who stole 1300 reais out of my wallet when I was in the shower. Key phrases: "when I was in the shower" and "wallet". I should've had my wallet in the room safe, but I did not use my better judgment and used my little head instead. So, my bad! Charge it to the game of life lessons and move on. Precautionarily use other people's tales of woe not as "how stupid you were!" finger wags, but "how can I learn from this?" instead.2 points -
I think he is closer to 36 but i couldn't say for sure! The last time i was with him was probably 2006! But we stay in touch and have been to the same parties over the years. He works at Ladies Club as a dancer/stripper. Many sauna boys over the years have danced there!2 points

I go to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale several times a year and have been going to the Boardwalk since 1996. There is a dancer there who i Thought was too old back then! Last year i was at the Boardwalk and HE was there Dancing! I was told he is somewhere north of 52! And guess what? I saw him taken to a back room 3 times and the realization finally hit me(Duh) that all of us have different types and there is someone(s) for everyone. My personal preference is 20 - 25 but i am currently "in love" with a 34yr. Old!! So i no longer judge! I am happy if they ar happy!2 points

Amazing so many American cities on the list. Perhaps safer to travel to other countries?2 points -
We all know you have traveled to both countries numerous times...hilarious you added that last "30 trips to both countries and that has never changed"SMILE The older and wiser I become, the more I realize that other people...places or things don't really change...yes things get older and people grow older but the main thing that changes is how I view things and places and people that I am in consistent contact with... Congrats on your other 30 trips...I am looking forward to retirement in the future so that I can travel even more than now....2 points

Sorry but I only believe to facts...I do not believe to invented things...it's simple since most of them are ridiculous and illogical. Like the one of stolen organs where the bad guys actually bother to do advanced surgery to let you live with just a portion of liver or just one kidney, to happily go back to your country. The organ thing, i repeat...is a fake which has been debunked not only by the interested countries, but also by Interpol investigations. And no...countries don't hide data because it would be just stupid. If they steal you a kidney, when you come back to your country, you'll report the thing to your government (by police or whatever) and there's no case report of the kind you've described. If someone is telling you that he knows a guy who knows a guy, who knows a guy, who woke up in a bathroom, covered by ice, with a missing kidney...is telling you a complete bullshit. There are real cases, but they involve people who were already ospitalized and that "thanks" to corrupted doctors and criminal organizations, instead of getting their appendicitis out, they also got a kidney out...or more frequently they involve organs stolen from dead people without the consent of their families. This happens not only in S.A. which despite what people think, accounts only for a small part of the cases...it happens mostly in China. When some people do stupid things which result in some sort of personal damage (economical/physical), they tend to exagerate the events, to decrease their share of "responsibility" in order to don't let people tell them how stupid they've been.1 point -

I had a wonderful time in Havana when I went in January. I suppose it would depend on what one's expectations are. I always hang with locals and I appreciate the Afro-Cuban gente. None of us in our small group had issues with booking dates each day, if that was going to be your next question.1 point -

It's beyond hypocritical of you to post about someone being too "long in the tooth" to be a sauna boy or an escort, when you yourself are an escort running ads on Rentmen and Adam4Adam and you're clearly in your 30s or 40s (most likely, in the latter, but advertising as the former). if you can still score clients, why can't they?1 point -

Oz is absolutely correct. It happens on every Forum. Members who think they have a right to disparage the look of someone who is not their type. Nobody cares if you don't like that type. Evidently someone does and that should be the end of it. Nobody is strapping you into a chair and making you look at a type you don't like. Just move on without comment!1 point -

This is going to raise a whole lot of posters' blood pressures. Get ready to clutch some pearls. The 50 most violent cities in the world have been revealed – and 43 of them are in South and Central America. 19 of them are in Brazil (Rio and São Paulo are not included, however). http://metro.co.uk/2017/04/08/these-are-the-worlds-most-violent-cities-6562906/1 point -

First trip to Brazil
ferrar reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
Oh, please. When is the last time that you have contributed any relevant, updated commentary based on your very own personal knowledge or experience? Every single one of your posts (at every forum) refers to a trip that you made YEEEAAAAARRRS ago. Every. Single. One! And we all know the story of what happened to you when you went to a sauna in Brazil (NOTHING, no hires), and when you went to a sauna in Barcelona (NADA, left because management told you to undress out of your street clothes), and when you went to Santo Domingo (fell in a ditch, so again, NOTHING). So, again, what do you possibly contribute here, other than distant, dated, misty water-colored memories? Yet ANOTHER one of your announcements of an upcoming trip that never seems to occur? And BTW, sarcasm can be a useful tool. I prefer it over insipidness and bland repetition.1 point -
I was last in Brasil and Argentina in 2011. My visits have comprised of my enjoying the culture, the beauty, the ambience, and yes, the men, when the times have arisen. I know a few words and have rarely had a problem in communicating when I have been with locals. Strangely, when the locals on the streets have approached me with queries, they've thought that I was one of them! We've smiled and laughed and...! I do think you are making a "mountain out of a mole hill" thus there was no need for your sarcasm in the last sentence of your post. What was the advantage? I've been at this site and at daddys for many years and refuse to attack or demean fellow writers/contributors. If that is your thing-- then please do NOT use it with me, for I don't engage in that manner. I visited Brasil from 2002 until 2011 (11 or 12 visits total). I do plan to return when I chose to.1 point

Is learning the language important when visiting countries for pleasure?
Adamadam reacted to SolaceSoul for a topic
You should at least make an effort to communicate in the native tongue when visiting a foreign land -- either by yourself or with a communicator / translator. You don't have to be fluent, but you should at least do a little advance preparation in basic conversational words and phrases. You will find that locals will actually even treat you a little better if you make the effort to NOT be a colonialist dickhead that expects everyone to cater to your linguistic laziness. It is height of arrogance and entitlement to expect others in another country to speak a foreign language that is not typical or usual for that land -- and then to get outraged, saddened or disappointed that they don't speak your language.1 point
