Guys, thanks for the info! I've made several trips to CDMX in the last year and was looking for a short fun vacation for Memorial day. I was originally looking at Puerto Rico pero, decided against it for now. I agree with tomcal's assessment of Mexican potential, the great guys are there you just need to look a bit harder or have a good procurement network in place. Mexico has not let me down so far, so I will take a leap of faith and try a new city. I love to experience new (to me) museums, architecture and restaurants while meeting great guys for fun. I'm trying to branch out so I don't become too complacent with the experiences available in just 1 city

Uber is in constant war with the Taxi cartels. On my last trip to Medellin, in October 2016, Uber was working but unofficially so. When I used to app to hail a ride at the airport, I received a text telling me to meet the driver at departures, to sit in the front seat and to tell anyone who asked that we were friends and that he was simply picking me up at the airport.
