  1. So...here i am. I am very sorry about the delay, but these days i'm extremely busy, so i will write a more detailed report as soon as i can. I've mostly been in Club 117, and it's a paradise full of extraordinary hotties for sale. I had a lot of fun. Going rate goes from R$100 to 150...it really depends on your ability to get a deal. You will most of the times. The quality of the sex is AAA grade. BE KIND with the guys. And this doesn't mean buying drinks or overpaying them (DO NOT DO THIS...if you do, the sauna scene will be over much sooner than the expected, since it's a market which strongly depends on local customers, and to their wages). Learn some portuguese and ALWAYS think with the big brain, not with the "smaller" one. I have always felt safe and i've been always great...i've visited most of Rio South and part of the Centro and Tijuca. But this happened because i acted like a local. DO NOT wear jewelry or expensive watches, DO NOT use your smartphone while walking on the road, DO NOT carry more money than the necessary, DO NOT carry your passport with you...keep the original in the hotel, DO NOT speak english in the metro, especially if you are alone, DO NOT go in darker zones in night, even in Copa or Ipanema. If you follow the rules, you'll be 100% fine. Now what i'm going to say might be pretty scary, but keep in mind that i've been very unlucky and that i've done 2 huge mistakes...one after the other. LEAVE THE BEACHES when the sun goes down, otherwise you run the risk of getting robbed. The 1st mistake i did was deciding to stay after the sunset...i told myself "i fell safe, and i'm not far from the lights of Copa". The 2nd mistake was to remain there even when i noticed a couple of the kind of guys that, after looking at their face, you're sure they're criminals. So i got robbed...they did not touch me, they "asked" me to stay down (sit) and to give them my money. One (the one speaking) was in front of me, the other one was behind me. I gave them all my money (R$70) and i showed there was nothing on the wallet. They counted the money, and they left, telling me to remain there. Of course when they were 100/200m far, i took my things and i run to the baraca where just in front of it there was a police car. They've told me that this is something rare to see and that i was "unlucky" since i wasn't using my phone, i wasn't wearing fancy clothes....they were just 2 random thiefs/drugaholics who found me in the wrong place at the wrong time. Remember that Rio is a nice city and it's very safe until you "help the city" to keep you at safety by not doing stupid things.

  2. Hi Guys, This was my second visit in Rio. Fortunately, an English-speaking not-4-pay guy had responded to my profile on one of the websites weeks before I arrived, so I ended up with a nice, intillegent and sexy law student who was friend, guide and sex partner. We're still in touch, and hope to meet again ("don't know where, don't know when"). However, on days he wasn't available I visited the 3 saunas, all during evenings when garotos abound. In all cases I paid R100; when some offered a higher quote, I said 100 and they accepted without further arguement. I didn't try to bid lower. 202 surprised me with its pleasant ambiance; for some reason I remembered reading it was run down. It isn't; actually, the lounge/public space was the best of the three for me, because of ventilation, comfortable seatings and not-loud music. However, I ended up with a guy who promised everything I was looking for but didn't deliver. Less than 5 minutes into the session it turned out that he doesn't deep-kiss and that he wants condoms for oral, both contrary to promises. I ended the programa immediately, went to the front desk and told them I won't pay. The very nice receptionist translated everything for a huge man standing there (who turned out to be either owner or manager or both). He demanded I pay everything; I agreed to pay for the cabin but not the garoto; he insisted; I stood my ground for circa 7 minutes; he threatened to call the police; I didn't budge ("bring them on"); and he relented. I won't return there again. 117: I had very VERY fond memories of the place, but I guess second time is never like the first..... I enjoyed the erections, especially in the wanking room, and accepted plenty of invitations to try them out. However, the well-endowed (which is topmost for me) were also tall hugely muscled (which is a trunoff also because I'm a short guy). I chose an OK garoto, but the programa was less than ok. NMM compensated for the others. The place is of course known for being the least nice of the 3 in terms of infrustructure, but cabins are free and for R20 you can add a fan (which I did). I chose Junior, and he was great - both in bed and in social attitude. In fact, I returned the next day just because he said he'd be there, but apparently I came too early and I couldn't wait. Hope to post in a week or two about sightseeing. Have fun; be safe. (-:

  4. Thank you for telling this! This has been the same since 2001 when i started going to Rio! NEVER walk on the beach side of the Blvd that separates Copa and Ipanema from the restaurants and condos on the opposite side of the Blvd at dusk or later! I have walked the commercial side opposite the beach at midnight or later 500 times and never had a problem but once my friend wanted to walk the beach side back and he got robbed! I wouldn't do it unless i was in a group of 4 or more!...which i always am now! :-)

  5. What you don't see in the video is the master suite on the second floor accessed by a starway by the pool and has a master bathroom with a tub for 4!! It must have been designed with me in mind! :-)

    When We Rise

The new limited mini-series on ABC which started last night chronicles the rise of the Gay rights movement. Based on a book by activist Cleve Jones, and written by Oscar winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, it was a welcome surprise that the network channel had the guts to air this. With a skilled and accomplished cast, starring Guy Pearce as the elder Mr Jones, it is often graphic and sexual. It was a powerful portrayal of the movement and the terrible struggles we had to overcome. And now we are in fear of losing it all because of some reality TV asshole with nothing but prejudice and hatred in his heart and soul. I recommend this show as a must watch for EVERYONE ! (plus, it has some beautiful boys) . It will rip your heart out and educate you at the same time. Also starring, Mary Louise Parker, Rachel Griffiths, Whoppie Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnel The matured Mr Jones The Real younger Cleve Jones on the left, Guy Pearce on the Right
