Another EOY contest?? What could possibly go wrong?3 points

Lastly, THANK YOU to Lars, Scorpio, planetime and others who have stepped to the forefront to address the Elephant in the room. I would have, but the last time I did, it didnt go over so well and only sent the OP on a rampage.... Gentlemen, you have my support, and all we can do is hope for the best. Obviously, having this issue here is not doing anything to benefit Boytoy, which now seems like it's the JD SHOW. This is one time I hope my cable goes out !3 points

One of my favorite bits from Brooke Shields' breakout flick... Bellocq: What will become of her now? Madame Nell: What's going on with you? You don't have to worry about her. She's made a lot of money. She can do as she likes. Bellocq: She's - she's only... She's completely alone. Madame Nell: Bellocq, you're in love with her. Bellocq: Don't be absurd. Madame Nell: I've seen it a hundred times. I am old. And life is so long.2 points

Skip the nominations, the voting, the ceremony and the Award, and just move to the "swimsuit" competition. Biggest natural Bulge is the winner !2 points

Even if I tried, and hired a Ghost writer, this situation could not have been summarized better or addressed more succinctly or eloquently. I doubt any of it was absorbed by the "subject" since his obsession with this is a one way street, but we can only hope. BRAVA !2 points

Roger Ebert's review... Louis Malle's "Pretty Baby" is a pleasant surprise: After all the controversy and scandal surrounding its production, it turns out to be a good-hearted, good-looking, quietly elegiac movie. That's a coup for Malle, who sometimes seems to dare himself to find acceptable ways of filming unacceptable subjects. His subject this time is a twelve-year-old girl who is raised in the New Orleans brothel where her mother works. She plays in the garden, she rides a pony, she likes ragtime music, and one day she's auctioned off to the man who will deflower her. This is, of course, tragically perverted, but "Pretty Baby" itself is not a perverted film: It looks soberly, and with a good deal of compassion, at its period of history and the people who occupied it. The pretty baby of the title is named Violet, and is played by Brooke Shields, as an extraordinarily beautiful child. Before anyone had seen "Pretty Baby," Malle was being accused of exploiting that fact. But he's thoughtful and almost cautious in his approach: Given the film's subject matter and its obligatory sex scenes, Malle shows taste and restraint. And Shields really creates a character here; her subtlety and depth are astonishing. Malle places her in an extraordinarily well-realized world, the Storyville section of New Orleans, circa 1917. The movie pays infinite attention to detail, and looks and feels accurate: We get to know the brothel so well, with its curving staircases and baroque furnishings, we almost feel we live there too. And we get to know the people, too, especially the strange and cynical brothel-keeper Madame Nell (Frances Faye), who observes at one point in her gravelly voice: "I am old. And I know one thing: Life is very long." An almost opaque line, but she invests it with infinite weariness. She also keeps a well-run establishment, populated by hookers like Violet's mother Hattie (Susan Sarandon), who dreams of escaping from the life and eventually succeeds: She marries a prosperous businessman from St. Louis, and moves north. She wants to take her daughter with her, but Violet won't go: For her, this house is a home. Violet has in the meantime gained a protector and confidant: Bellocq (Keith Carradine), the silent, eccentric photographer. He seems at first to feel no passion at all, as he takes his infinite pains to arrange the lights and shadows in which he poses the prostitutes. There is, we feel, the possibility that he's asexual. But he does have a special feeling for Violet. And on the night she is auctioned off, there are two long, anguished close-ups: Of Bellocq, and of the house's black piano player (Antonio Fargas). Both of them clearly feel the auction is an outrage. Neither one speaks out. They are both creatures of Storyville, and know how things are done. After Hattie goes north, Violet stays in the house for a time, and then goes to live with Bellocq. Their relationship is, of course, a strange one, made more complicated by the fact that this experienced twelve-year-old prostitute is still just a little girl. One of the film's most heartbreaking scenes has Violet sitting under a tree, playing with her doll. She is pretending that the doll is herself and that she is her mother. There's such a curious mixture of resentment and envy in her game that we cringe. "Pretty Baby" has been attacked in some quarters as child porn. It's not. It's an evocation of a time and a place and a sad chapter of Americana. The ragtime music and the blues that fill its sound track take on a deeper meaning, in the context of the story, and we are reminded that the artists who sang "Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans?" knew very well, and perhaps for that reason missed it less than their listeners. http://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/pretty-baby2 points

So there are no prostitutes on this site or that site? I haven't hired for a few years now that I'm retired. I know several of the posters personally is the reason I still hang around here. If Daddy's site goes bye bye, I won't lose any sleep either . I started hiring before you were born. I'm sure you have engaged in prostitution at least once. Is escort a word that has to be used because it's politically correct ?2 points

OMG can't you just quit the drama?!?!?!?!??! WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THIS ISSUE ANY MORE. QUIT BRINGING IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!2 points

Of all the things that life will throw at you, this will be one of the most unimportant things that will happen to you,. When your 70 years old and thinking back on life....losing your prostitute of the year award just won't matter. Time to turn the page and move on with your life.2 points

Warren would have been a terrible pick. Stop worrying and stop listening to your friends and read the actual polls. She needs the rust belt, middle America, the white working class males. That's where she's in trouble, more than she needs Bernie supporters. Polls are already showing that not nearly as many of the "Never Hillary" fanatics are staying away as previoiusly thought, and we haven't even gotten to the convention yet. She has Warren, to bring those fringe voters in, and hopefully if Bernie can ever get over the fact that he got his ass wiped in the primaries, maybe he'll go out and help her a little too, but I'm not holding my breath, after all, he and Jane are probably still working on their taxes. She needs to up her poll numbers in the critical swing states like Iowa, Wisconsin, Virginia, Ohio, PA and yes, even Florida would help. Despite the Trump campaigns constant fuck ups, she can't pull ahead of him in many of those swing states. It's imperative that she put a few more percentage points between them. "Within the margin of error" tends to make donors and voters nervous. Listening to friends can get you worked into a frenzy, but the electorial map doesn't lie. She has several paths to victory, whereas the Dumpster has to win Ohio, and what did he just do, Oh that's right, he and his sidekick Manafort told the very popular governor of Ohio to go fuck off... great move. So stop worrying, there aren't enough white votes to put the Dumpster over the top. He is polling 0% with African Americans and is 15 points behind her with the womans vote. Hillary's got this. When all is said and done Kaine is a brilliant pick. Nobody is perfect, but Kaine is almost there. Go back and read Kaine's bio. He has quite the record on file. More than anything she needed someone the Republicans couldn't touch, and by the looks of it, she nailed this one. They were struggling on FOX News today to find something bad to say about him. Oh listen to me, going on and on about nothin. I sound like JD. And excuse me if you fine spelling errors, the last time I tried spell check around here, it deleted my post, so I ain't takin any more of those chances.1 point

Let me remind all that this is a gentleman's forum. We need to debate the issues and not the person. With that said, I think a great deal has been said about this issue at Daddy's. While we don't suppress debate, we don't like to dwell on the other site either. Eventually, all of the discussions about Daddy end up in the Sandbox.1 point

Having spend a few holidays in India over the years and even visited Goa a few times, this documentary really caught my attention. I wish I had seen it before I went to Goa as I would have loved to have researched some of the people in it.1 point
