I am enjoying the show, especially the characters of the gay son and the Dad. I embrace the message of support that the show sends. Although the devout Catholic family is miles apart in its views of homosexuality, they are always supportive of the son, and always let him know they love him. The gay jokes are cliches, but the work in their context here.. It always makes me smile1 point

Why would it be risky? If you are concerned, take steps to prevent an infection. The degree of risk depends on what you do, so your question is basically impossible to answer without knowing what your sexual practices are. The risk of HIV infection (which I assume is what you mean when you say AIDS), is not "quite risky" at all.1 point
