I already posted this table in a different thread but thought it might be worthy to put it again in a separate thread so that more information can be added or additional comments can be made on the best and worst days of the saunas in Rio and Porto Alegre. When anyone asks me how to handle emergencies, I always say, first do nothing. Then, after considering the problem, proceed to accomplish the emergency check list. It is amazing how often the first thing done in an emergency is "bad". It is often better to do nothing at first and then do the correct thing. Time to consider is not time wasted (most of the time). I will keep my expectations in check. But my nature is to be constantly on the prowl. Depends on what is going on....seasonal events....what nights are currently free where... I can tell you from within the last month... MM on Monday was the BEST!!! 117 is always consistent...they have the largest selection...usually the most guys there Pointe...good looking guys....good mix....can be hit or miss.....

There is not a large cruising scene in Rio since the saunas take care of all of that and unless you are attractive based on Brazilian gay standards, you will NOT be hit on in the streets or receive welcome glances back...even in the gay areas.... Try Sexy Rose...that is like a standard sleazy bookstore where you will find locals....you can find it easily in Rio and just google the address Just some advice....there are places where younger, attractive guys go and hang out where I did not see a lot of the older gents that I saw in the saunas and vice versa....the barbie looking guys from the beaches will not be in the saunas where the rent boys are UNLESS they are working there

Dark, Trzinko recommended using PlanetRomeo for finding guides, but I'm not sure I fully understand what he had meant. I used ManHunt and PR. I changed the location of my profile to those cities (alternating) and wrote IN SPANISH that I'm "looking for a young companion for fun and maybe travels". PR didn't pan out, but in MH I've had literally hundreds of responses. However, since I also wrote that I expect basic English, at least 95% were screened out.
