Spent the afternoon with Epi again at the same spot of copacabana beach. Saturday, there are a lot more families coming to the beach. Several young dads play with their 3 or 4 years old kids in the water. The waves are pretty big, sometimes the kids got knocked over, but still loves it as they puking sea water from their mouth and nose, very cute to watch. Then of course, more eye candies walking by now and then. We stayed until 5, then separate ways, plan to meet in 117. Got in 117 at 6:30. The place is packed. It's a bday party for one of the managers, in addition to Saturday. Epi also just got in, we went to the bar area to watch boys while Epi got a tiny cup of coffee. We point out our favorites to each other, it's quite fun. Epi focuses more on body, I more on face. We rarely collide on our favorites. A lot of new faces, quite a few slim or athletic twinks around. I especially like one tanned white twink with light beard. It's really warm in the packed bar area, so we went downstairs to sit besides the boys lockers area, both relax and boy watching. The boy I really like was there too, talking to a client. It didn't click, and the client left. Epi left to check out the massage arrangement to give me a chance to talk to the boy. His name is Lukas again, what the odds. Very nice boy, but a total top :-( it's been quite often the bigger boys I wouldn't guess as bottoms are versatile, the smaller, slim pretty boys are strict tops. Epi's top target is a tall white boy. I also like his face. A rare agreement between us. I encourage Epi to go for it, he is taking his time. Another dark boy is quite hot, but he just stands in the hallway with two other boys, didn't catch my gaze as I went downstairs to sit down for a little bit. 5 minutes later, I couldn't find him anymore. Then I walk into Epi, he is not with the tall white boy. He said they talked, and the boy, Enrique, insisted on 150, he doesn't like the price. Epi then headed to the sauna room. As I walk by the hallway towards downstairs later, Enrique was standing there, and smiled friendly at me. I returned the smile, and he pulled me over. Epi said he is a college student, and I was pleasantly surprised he speaks very good English. He said he learned it from watching English TV shows, even though he doesn't write English well, he can talk quite good. And I like his friendly, easygoing manner a lot. He said he dies everything, has no problem btming, and of course give head without condom. He asks for 150 too. Since Epi couldn't get the price down, I think it's quite all right. I settled on 150 and 170 with the previous two encounters as well. So we went to get room, there is a waiting list. As we wait, he told me more about himself. He is enrolled in a private college studying petroleum engineering. The tuition is quite expensive, but not as academically demanding as the public university he was in earlier in São Paulo. He needs time to make money while going to school. So he is working 117 on weekends only, sometimes only Saturday if school is too busy. I think I actually saw him last year, he was clean shaven at the tine, more to my liking. But still cute even with a beard. In the room, he is still very relaxed and friendly. As I ask him if he likes girls, he said of course. But he also likes men. He jokes that his mom says he is like a monkey, likes sex with anyone, any hole will work. Again, the non-issue attitude toward sex for Brazilian straight men still amazes me. He is 1.90 meters, out of my usual target range, but the friendly, easy going attitude and cute face win in the end. A college student speaking English is a big plus. We had a quite good time. As Enrique and I walked downstairs from the suites floor, I saw the other Lukas I had a session with. He is in his red boxer again, looking sexy as usual. If only he is more fun in the room, I would definitely go again with him. It's 9 already, Epi decided to leave without tonight, he has the boy from the beach waiting at his disposal anyways. We sat downstairs a little longer, a boy in green tank top is putting on his shoes to leave. He then was spraying some body spray on his neck. We both like him. I also like another slim boy with dirty blond hair, but Epi has no interest. We decided to call it a night. I found it to be a great night with many choices, Epi found it too busy for his liking. I think the boys here are a couple calibers hotter than MM, Epi disagrees. So you see, two people have two very different conclusions for the same night. You have to come see for yourself. I really like the beach in the afternoon, sauna at night arrangements. Rio has been quite fun this trip. With the hotel price coming down a lot, I probably should split my stay between Rio and São Paulo more in favor of Rio. While I did score more consistently in São Paulo before, there is not much else to do if you don't speak Portuguese. Will see how São Paulo sauna holds up this time. Gabriel did say December is not the best time to visit São Paulo because a lot of local clients left town for vacations, saunas are not as attractive to the boys. Two more nights in Rio. Great trip so far thanks to Jose and fun conversations with a couple boys. And of course, it has been nice hitting the beach with ihpguy and Epi. Let's see, perhaps I will change my preferred city to Rio over São Paulo after this trip.

I just got back from a 2 week trip to Bangkok. I needed a few more miles to qualify for my airline status and the weather here in Ft.Lauderdale was awful for a couple of weeks. So started checking fares and got a $750.00 to Hong Kong on American and then used miles for Hong Kong - Bangkok. One of the better flights I have had. On-time, good service, smooth flight. I arrived in Bangkok at 10pm, so that gave me time to head over to Soi Twilight to see what was going on. A couple of the bars stay open till about 3am. I didn't stay at the apartment I usually use. A last minute trip and when I called the owner about using it, he said he was staying there a couple of weeks doing a little upkeep. He was willing to let me have it for 1 week, but I found a great senior rate at the Courtyard by Marriott. $65.00 all in a night. With my gold status, I got free buffet breakfast and lounge access which had enough food to make a decent dinner. I didn't spent a dime on food this trip. I've spent about 5 months in Bangkok this year. I hang out mostly at Hot Male and am friends with a lot of the boys there. I sent a text when I got to airport I was in town and would stop by in a couple of hours. Word got around. I arrived and everybody came by to say hi. My usual drink was waiting for me by the time I got to my favorite bar stool. But in the end, it's still about making money for the boys. Several were trying to get me to take them to my hotel. Not going to happen tonight. It's just after midnight and I've been up for 30 hours. I stayed till 2:30 or so, then back to hotel. The weather is good this time of the year over there. But they were still having a bit of a heat wave. 95 days upper 70's nights, but humidity was way down. Because I go so often, I'm sort of over sightseeing. So I spend most days by the pool. Then late afternoon nap to get me thru the night. I wasn't craving sex the first couple of days, so just hung out with my friends at Hot Male. I went to a couple of shows during my stay. Even though it's not sex just hanging out. The boys are very touchy, freely . At my age, that works. I saw the show at Hot Male first. I have some close Vietnamese friends that work there, that sit with me during the shows. Getting into the high season, bigger crowds and a little more nudity than I have seen this past year. I remember when they did the big cock contest several years ago, there would be 4 or 5 boys. Now in all the clubs there are 20 or so boys showing off some good size. I don't know what these Asian boys are eating, but the myth of small Asian boys is quickly disappearing. Both were hour long shows with lots of nudity, hot boys, and a few lady boys. Fresh Boys did a 2 boy shower show that was pretty hot. I still think X-Boys does the best overall show . I had a couple of friends that had gone to the shows at Boys Bangkok and were dissapointed, so I decided not to try it out. It's very expensive, so if your not going to enjoy it, save your money. On my trips in the past, I have seen this boy that works at Bonney Massage, just a couple doors down from my bar stool. He is very hot and I figured very straight. I just wanted to see him naked, the massage would be a plus. Well one night we both arrived on the street at the same time and bumped into each other. Exchanging smiles, it gave me an opening. Said I have seen him where he works and would like to stop by for a massage some time. He said, slow night stop by. I did. Did I mention, he is hot. Get to room and start getting undressed for ritual shower. I am going really slow as I want to watch him strip. He caught on quick and did a great strip show. The one at the hotel is good size and has a bench in it. That bench sure makes playtime a lot of fun. It's Christmas time in Bangkok. I've been there a few times at this time of the year. Even though it's a Buddist country, they have really discovered the commercial side of the holidays. The western tourist spend a lot of money. The shopping centers and especially the larger hotels, have really gotten into the decorations. It is 10 times more decorated than I have seen in the past. This is the first pic I have posted. I've seen many people do the sideway pic but the figure it out. Not me. Had a great trip. Short but met up with some new and old friends. I head back in Feb. will have the apartment back and will be staying a few months. Have been doing 30 day trips, so will be interesting.

Unfortunately, the other thread became a shouting match. Some associate gay with drama queen, I am glad that only applies to a small percentage of us. Keep calm, people. Wonderful views of the ocean from his apartment. We went to his favorite section on copacabana, where the well built barraca (umbrella and drinks stand) owner smiles at Epi in the way that clearly shows they have shared more than drinks and kisses :-) it's not a gay section, but still plenty eye candies around. In the last hour we were there, a gorgeous young man came to join his older brother and what looks like his brother's girlfriend. He looks like some ancient Greek or Italian sculptures of the young, innocent looking boy you would see in Louve or Vatican museums . Epi thinks he is probably just 16, about 5-10 or 5-11, slim, well defined body, no bulging muscles yet, gorgeous smile. Too bad the sun has come down quite a bit, a large section of the beach is in the shades where he plays ball with his brother, so the pictures I took with my iPod all came out too dark :-( Epi recommended we go watching the sunset in ipanema. Looks like the most beautiful people all gather at aparador for the same reason. A lot of young lovers, a lot of hot guys came in their beach shorts or speedos, I felt I was overdosing on eye candies:-) sun set around 7:30, the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen! Applause erupts as the gorgeous red sun sank below the water. Perfeito! We went to have dinner and of course one of the waiters again is "gostoso"! Rio is simply over populated with beautiful boys :-) As we walk around a little after dinner, Epi showed me his beautiful, peaceful neighborhood and some photos of his many young lovers, many of them simply love the older, hairy, established professional type, no money involved. You sure is a lucky man, Epi! It's close to 10pm as I got back to my hotel. My sadness earlier is all gone after a wonderful afternoon and evening. A great day in the " cidade maravilhosa " cures all!

It is not that men in Medellin in are more handsome. It is that they are more available and that the market for sexual favors is better developed than in Cali, Bogota or Cartagena/Barranquilla. It would be like saying that the men of Rio or Sao Paolo are better looking than elsewhere in Brasil. The presence of the market attracts both buyers and sellers. Those with the best goods tend to migrate to where they can achieve the best prices. That said, the ethnic differences between different regions of Colombia can be profound. The coast, cartagena and barranquilla, is essentially Caribbean. Bogota is visibly more indigenous ethnically. Medellin has a bit more European ethnic character. And the sugar cane fields have made Cali the center of African ethnicity in Colombia.

In airport waiting for my flight. It's end of the year again! Brazil time :-) Except for a couple short posts by Pauleiro and tomcal about the saunas, not much else in the past few weeks. Tomcal seems too occupied or something else to share his fun times here. Anyone care to share some sauna Intel? Can't wait to land in Rio tomorrow. With the Real free falling and the recession, hotels in Rio is much more affordable. I manage to book the one right by 117 for 120R a night (monte castelo). However, my favorite Rio sauna has been MM, as I prefer slim twink type. There is a new boy Kaua at hotboys.com.br looking delicious, wonder if anyone has seen him in any of the saunas. The Museu do Amanha opens today to the public (for free) for thrity-six hours starting this morning. After Sunday, the entry fee will be a reasonable 10Reais. There is also a museum pass including the MAR art museum, also located on the Praca Maua with a discounted entry. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, the final published cost is actually three times the quoted price in the linked THE GUARDIAN article. 650million Reais versus the 230million quoted. Knowing how things to work, I suspect final price will be even higher. Calatrava's supposed inspiration is a bromeliad. To me, either the back of an alligator, scales of a snake or the long and thick dick of one of the hung garotos de programa at Meio Mundo. But I have been by the Praca Maua in the last two months and the area has never looked better. The whole area is very cool as a large plaza closed to all vehicular traffic except for the new VLT tram line. Between the two museums, as well as the Banco do Brasil and Correios Cultural Centers a couple of blocks away, it does make a nice way to spend the day before heading over to Meio Mundo.
